I'm about a month into a bariatric surgery program that should see me having surgery before the end of the year. I'm getting the surgery because I've looked into it a lot and read a bunch of papers and studies on it and considered it over the years and I'm now at the point where I want to have it. Before I didn't want it, though, so it wasn't a good time for me to have it. Don't have it until and unless you decide that you want it.
I'm also concerned about the emotional side of eating and in therapy over that. Someone just recommended this book that I'll be reading soon. Mostly until this point I've been reading academic studies more than books.
Found this back in oct to use with my desk. I fluctuate between 310-325 usually and this has held me well.flash furniture folding chair
Try taking a random class like glass blowing, knitting, crochet, dancing or ceramics. Hint: women love dancers and many times single women will sign up for a dancing class and be assigned with other women since there are usually not enough men if it is not a couples class. You can also maybe do small meetups for game nights using apps like nextdoor.com, meetup or other neighborhood apps. You can also do small strolling groups to find people who might like to do short walks/strolls as a way to get out of the house but who might not want to go full bear on the exercise. If you live where there is snow and have any free sledding hills maybe make an adult sledding group, bring hot cocoa and meet new people. You can encourage singles to meet new people in the hood.
You can and should love your body.
Picture your body like a garden shed. You can and should love it for all the useful things it holds and all the things it allows you to do.
Despite all that, you still need to clean out the shed once in a while, so that the clutter doesn't burst the walls and wreck the shed and you can continue to enjoy having it around for years to come.
Same thing with your body. You need to clean it out and offload some of the excess so that you can have it around for a while.
I don't think you fought to build a 400lb body, or that you think that every pound of that needs to be honored.
You fought to build a good life, with a good partner, and a good job, all of which you want to enjoy for years to come.
So keep up the fight so you get to enjoy the rest of your life.
Also, buy the book Conquering Fat Logic by Dr. Nadja Hermann. https://www.amazon.com/Conquering-Fat-Logic-ourselves-metabolism-ebook/dp/B07CZ3K2W3
It's really helpful.
Took me several purchases to solve what you’re describing. These are fantastic. Thick, soft and they truly don’t slip off.
Pareberry Women's Thick Cushion Cotton Athletics Casual Low Cut Flat Non-Slip Boat Liner No Show Socks-5/10 Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088TDXMRM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_TFRVFRCT2M58Q1T6GX7D?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I haven't. 🤣 I wonder if they stay up better than the ones they make for arms?
After more searching, I finally found a few of these in larger sizes:
I will probably order one to try. But I'm still hoping someone who can relate to my conundrum will have a recommendation of a great brand. 👍
I have this chair (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KDS893Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I was actually bigger than the suggested size when I bought it (or right at the cusp) and it's been great for me. I work from home now myself and I don't have issues sitting in it for the duration of the day. Easy to get up out of also.
MyFitnessPal has an awesome tracker for water, food and activity. Another huge bonus for me at least is the forum. I hop of the forum every now and then just to check out the success stories. It really gives me a boost seeing before and after pics of others that have success.
For a food scale I really like my Oxo brand food scale. It’s $30 on Amazon. Definitely not the cheapest but I’ve never had any issues with any of their products.
I have this saved on Amazon but I don't know if it's any good: chair
Log everything you eat. Don't lie. This is between you and yourself. I like cronometer.com, but others have differing opinions. Everything. Even if you mess up. It's important to help you identify your weaknesses and get a better idea of what foods are how many calories so you can manage this forever. Good luck.
These are mens but I still bought them and they are my favorite socks, like I need to do laundry if they're all dirty because I can't wear other socks. Loose but they stay up and don't leave any marks. My feet and ankles are fat to begin with but an old injury in my left ankle makes it swell out to look slightly bigger than a softball and I still don't get a mark on the ankle.
I get heel pain and use the half plantar fasciitis insoles that are amazing. Women's and Men's BUT if you are walking so much you might have a really bad gait and need to buy new sneakers every 3-4 months like people who are training to run. Look at the soles of your shoes are they wearing unevenly? Your knees are aching so you might need some physical therapy exercies/sessions to help strengthen the muscles around your knees and stabilize your legs. Gait might be helped a little by chiropractic sessions. I tend to lean more on one side.
I bought this one - has 3 velcro straps. Now, I only wore it for maybe an hour at a time (I don't use it anymore), but it stayed in place for me.
My cholesterol was very high a few months ago... But trust me, a combo of these two things got it all the way to normal in only a few months, by my next Dr appt he was shocked

I have this one: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0942RV55J/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_0C8JEJAZA31SM55ESC9J. No smart features, other than talking, but it is sturdy and the widest scale for home use I have found. My son is larger than me and had a lot of trouble standing on a smaller scale.
Hi!
You're very welcome! I use Lose It! too, but I've heard great things about MFP.
This is the kitchen scale I use. I've had it since Nov. 2016 and it's still working great - https://www.amazon.com/Ozeri-ZK14-AB-Digital-Multifunction-Kitchen/dp/B01JK4XPVW/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=Ozeri+ZK14-AB+Pronto+Digital+Multifunction+Kitchen+and+Food+Scale%2C+Standard%2C+Silver+On+Black&qid=1622755253&sr=8-5. (It's $10.27.)

I HATE drinking water unless I’m SO dehydrated that it feels good to chug (which isn’t great). I carry around this ridiculous 1 gallon water bottle everyday. It times the water intake so you’re spreading it out evenly and also has cute motivational sayings after each 2 hour ‘segment’ of water. It’s annoying carrying it around (especially when it’s full - it’s heavy lol) but it has made drinking a gallon of water a day not very difficult at all (especially when you get into the habit of it). I got mine on Amazon - there are tons of different options. Here is the link to mine Ginormous Water Bottle
I bought this several years ago:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07J4688TK
It worked fine as an "in place" stool, but would not easily roll anywhere on my kitchen floor (the wheels would get stuck). And the seat area was too small, and painful to sit in for a while. So I had to get rid of it.
I replaced it with this big office chair, similar to one I had used in my condo kitchen over a decade ago:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FM66MSY
I just left off the arms and the back when I put it together. It gave me a nice big comfortable seat, and rolled around the kitchen easily. I just back it up against a counter to stabilize it when I sit down.
For me, the ability to roll around the kitchen was a must have, so I could easily go from the refrigerator to my prep counter to the sink to the stove and oven and microwave. I used to take my walker to the kitchen, then transfer to the chair for the duration of the time in the kitchen.
These days, I use an electric wheelchair. My knees could no longer take the long trip to the kitchen. But the chair with rollers was a lot easier to maneuver around the kitchen.
Thanks. Was actually looking at getting this one from Amazon but no weight limit is listed. I'll check your suggestions!
I’ve been doing this. I use
Whey Protein Powder Isolate by BulkSupplements (1 kilograms) | Clean & Pure Unflavored 90% Isolate for Men & Women | Build Muscle Mass & Burn Fat Fast https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00E7IODXQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_PCynquJvx1RUz
And it’s flavorless and really fine and soft so you really can’t tell it’s on stuff. And I’m one of those people who hate the taste of whey so I would be able to tell if this had even the slightest taste to it.
It’s 110 calories for 4 tablespoons which is A LOT so usually I only use 1-2 tablespoons.
This is the bed frame I have had for three or four years now: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006MISZOC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_qvQ9Fb0XEDMKH
I bought it after breaking 2 cheap big lots bed frames . Have had 0 issues with it and it's awesome. It's easy to move around as a bonus. Only issue might be it is not compatible for a headboard but reviews have said people have been able to.drill holes with no problem for headboards.
My mattress for almost 2 years:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Q7EPPDA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_FxQ9Fb4VDE2HM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I like it. You will need to rotate it often but I like it other than that. As long as you don't have it in a corner, it is easy to rotate. I had to get use to complete memory foam mattress but I'm going strong with it. However, if you have a bigger budget I suggest getting a nicer mattress. This is good one and not a cheapo but there are nicer ones out there.
I don't have much as far as specific suggestions for a mattress, but as far as a frame goes, I ordered this a few years ago and have been happy with it so far:
ZINUS SmartBase Super Heavy Duty Mattress Foundation -- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BWC1X3S/
Budget? There is a company called Big Fig Website here and I’d recommend perhaps one of the heavy duty platforms(check this out)
18+8+12=38-inches off the ground, and a good solid firm place to start...
Something I recently posted:
Several years ago, I was 650 pounds. Then, and now, I use a "Big John" toilet seat (without the lid, and not attached) and something like this simple add-on bidet.
I haven't used toilet paper in over a decade. I love using the bidet. It gets me much cleaner than paper ever did.
I use a wheelchair to get around, although I can transfer myself. One complaint I've seen about the bidet is that the butt is still wet after using it. I get around that by putting a folded towel on my wheelchair seat, then transfer to it before I pull up my pants. Then my bottom is nice and dry. :)
Edit: There is additional model of that bidet with two nozzles. The second is for women's use.
Honestly, Walmart is wonderful for plus sized inexpensive clothing, especially for swimsuits but this time of year might make that difficult. Amazon has a wide variety of plus-sized swimsuits that are reasonably priced, cute, true-to-size, and flattering (as flattering as a swimsuit can be).
Try a wedge pillow. Make sure it's big enough to be useful. This is the one I have.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0165UXSKM
Or find some other way to elevate your upper body. Maybe even build a ramp for your whole mattress.
If you're not a back sleeper it can take some getting used to.
Probably saved my life. I used to aspirate often.

I have this one and like it. I bought it because of the large number of positive reviews. It’s sturdy and polite. It says “hello” and “goodbye”.
My Weigh XL-550 Talking Bathroom Scale https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0014ZQH84
I have this one. The base is wider which is better for heavy people. It does stop on a number. It worked fine when I was up to 450 lbs.

I used to use baby powder also, but I've been using zeasorb powder the last few years and it makes a big difference for me. Usually I use a blow dryer after I get out of the shower in the creases before applying the powder, and it works great for me. It works great, but it is still messy just like baby powder. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004LTY8NG

I picked up this bike last year, it's rated for 440lbs and it's held up when I used it, and I slightly exceed the limit. Really easy to set up as well.
This is the one I have. It says it has a limit of 300 lbs but it holds my 350+ lb ass just fine. There is a very minor bit of squeaking from the seat back when I really get pedaling hard.
I bought this one when I was 462 lbs. Four years on and it's still my favorite chair and it's held up like a champ, it's my main office chair. It was a little spendy but totally worth every penny. I would easily have spent that much and more on cheap chairs in the four years that I've had this one. Bonus is it has an adjustable vibrating back cushion that still works after all this time that I have really enjoyed.
I will add to look at the seat and see if it will detach. You can buy more comfortable padded seats if you have this capability. This is mine, I started using it at 375 lbs and still use it. I agree on strengthening your glutes as well, that does help.
Can you squat at all, or get up and down from a chair repeatedly? These are ways to increase glute strength starting out. I would just stand in front of a chair and sit stand sit stand for as long as I could. Boring af so I would listen to music or an audiobook.
From where I was, the age I was, rehabbing my muscles was kinda hellish but if you are determined you can push through and it massively has improved every aspect of my life.
Dedication. Repetition. Frequency. Find what you can do and do it daily. When it becomes too easy add weights or change incline, make the seat lower, find a way to keep it challenging. Don't give up. If you miss a day don't let it turn into a month. Focus on your goals.
Good luck!
This one looks well reviewed and has a coupon and is relatively inexpensive.
I bought this chair when I was at my biggest. Spendy but I've had it around 4 years now. Well built and comfortable and has a little adjustable back massaging pillow.
Also, I agree with others, get up and move around every hour, your circulatory system needs that.
Move around and change position. Set a timer to get up once an hour or more to move around, get a drink of water while you’re up anyway 😉 Regarding pillows, have you tried a honeycomb cushion? it saved my literal butt when doing my dissertation in a super hard school chair 😅
Not sure where you are, I am in Europe and I have one of these palette style bed frames. It's lower than some people like, but I wanted that so my short legged dog could get up 😂
What's nice about the platform bed frame is it is rate for 1000lbs and doesn't require a box spring.
I've been using the king size version of this one for about 6 months now and it seems to be rock solid. It looks pretty similar to the one posted below by masha_asham. One word of warning though is that the middle vertical supports seem to be really easy to kick accidentally. They are vital for the strength of the bed though. If I were you I would stay away from anything that is foldable since those hinges are just another weakened failure point. (Speaking from experience there.) https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MPQ6C9G
The Official Uncle BigTex Bed Frame
1500 pound capacity but what I really like is that you can get the 18 inch frame so it is easier to get out of bed because you are higher up. It is basically two twin frames that attach, it is a no tool assembly and nice.
I have attached a headboard, but if you don't have a headboard, you can find some really cool headboard ideas on Pinterest that are very simple.
This and also Amazon's brand which are basically just rebranded DXL anyway. I have a bunch of these and I love them. Looks like they gave up on it though, and just sell straight DXL brand now. Either way, DXL and King Size, as others have said
I have a very large chest even for my weight - My sports bras are Elomi and some people swear by Panache.
And not to evangelize(!) but if your body has changed a lot, and even if it hasn't, it's worth figuring out your real size with the calculator over at /r/ABraThatFits. So many places (department stores, chain lingerie stores, etc.) will "fit" you for a bra very improperly (claiming you're a 40DDD to make their bras fit when you're really a 36H, to use a personal example)
You don't want any stretch.
Wow congrats! Our starting points are really similar. I was 398, 5'9" and have lost over 170lbs so far. Currently sitting at 226.6lbs.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07M6Y4KDY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
These are really good! They have great support and very stretchy. You also wont have to change bras so frequently. I wore mine from like 320 down to my current weight and Ive just considered buying new ones in a smaller size. They still hold everything well but I just want things to feel tighter lol
As others have said, you can't outrun a bad diet. Weight loss is about diet. Getting fit will help, but you cannot lose weight by cutting down on a bit of food and then going to the gym.
Calorie control is and should be your only priority. I have lost 45 pounds since May by calorie control only and have done ZERO exercise. Mainly because it was too painful to move. Like you, I couldn't stand for long. Showering was a nightmare on my lower back. Toilet time was awkard and I struggled with exactly what you have mentioned.
I used a chair on wheels to get around the kitchen and groceries were delivered.
Check out /r/CICO where you will learn some basics. You don't need to do anything drastic or starve yourself. Re-read that. Nothing drastic, no starving
Work out how many calories you need to maintain your weight and then reduce that by 500 calories. THAT is all you need to do to lose 1 pound a week. Which is the recomended amount of weight to lose.
Some weeks you'll lose more and others less. Slow and steady. It took years to gain this weight, so expect it to take years to come off.
On to the practicalities of living as a heavy person. Try this personal douche which is hand held and helped me so much. Also, a bath bench that didn't look like an old disabled person's chair in the bath.
If it is as hard as you say to get around, you won't make it to the front door of the gym without your back screaming at you. Forget the gym. Once a day, do something that makes you slightly out of breath. Like going up and down the stairs twice.
This IS doable. Don't allow your brain to overwhelm you and don't focus on how much weight you have to lose. Just focus on small and manageable goals.
I have these bands and it says they go up to 8.7 inches. Not sure how to help you search for that size detail but maybe check out a style like this that’s really adjustable. Good luck! I love my Apple Watch for monitoring heart rate and steps.
I have one of these in a European King size. I don't know if there is an American equivalent? It's rated for like 1000lbs. We bought it because it was low for my dog to hop up on, it might be lower than some people like. I don't find the height to be a problem but it may depend on your mobility. https://www.amazon.de/sunnypillow-Headboard-Pallets-Furniture-Natural/dp/B081H9WXSP/ref=mp_s_a_1_9?crid=WNH2PIY7QQL&keywords=holz+palettenbett&qid=1663761670&sprefix=wood+pall%2Caps%2C109&sr=8-9
I have been very happy with the King Platform Bed Frame with Storage 14 Inch Metal Beds Frames No Box Spring Needed Heavy Duty Black which I bought a few months ago for my new house. I would like it better if the cross bars were thicker and actually attached to the bed but it doesn't seem to be an issue so far. My only complaint is that the mattress tends to shift side to side easily but it is easy enough to just push it back.
This is the one we have in King Size-

I weigh 400lbs and my husband weighs 300lbs and we have had no issues whatsoever. It's AMAZING! We've had it 3 years without any problems supporting our weight or hanky panky movements. :D
Yes definitely use a cane. But make sure you get one that can withstand your weight. Here’s one I found on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B081GXL6LM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
This is the scale that I use at home, and when I compare it against the one at the doctor and the nice balance one at the gym it seems to be pretty accurate. It goes up to 400 lbs.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PN7YG28/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I can’t see your CW (mobile Reddit issues) but if you’re still SMO, you can probably do more portion control type eating, not counting down to the precise calories, and still lose weight so long as you have a goal that is still below your TDEE.
I got this book: Instant Loss: Eat Real, Lose... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082BHLHRL?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share. The couple of dishes I made from this were delicious, but it doesn’t suit the way my husband and I cook so we don’t use it all the time. Still, I highly recommend it.
Honestly, if you could follow this strictly for all your meals, including the portion recommendations, you wouldn’t need to calorie count and you could just use it to meal plan.
Oh, I just want to hug you. I can relate to a lot of this. Especially the wiping bit. Showering is worse.
A lot of really good advice here but I just want to recommend a product I recently got that has changed my life and made me feel more in control
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B074V6SXJ2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Depending on your bathroom layout the Aquas 360 connects to your sink so you can have a warm butt rinse experience. I live in FL so cold water is relative
There is a much cheaper way to do it but it might not have the additional controls. You will get cold water basics but it is awesome. Like this one. You basically attach the hose to the toilet intake and hook the holder over the toilet bowl tank (under the lid) and just unhook and spray when needed.
You can probably hire someone from task rabbit type of service to install for under $75
We have this one which is MUCH cheaper and I actually like it better than the expensive one we have in the main bathroom. My in-laws liked it so much they bought one after using it. They initially laughed at me for wanting one.
Well, it's going to really depend on what it is you want to do, your budget and also quite possibly your weight. Sadly, the higher in weight you are the less options/more expensive shit gets.
I would love a treadmill, but I absolutely sadly do not have the space for it. Also, I can walk outside it's a bit more of a pain in the arse as I have to get the toddler ready to walk outside, but walking outside is an option that I have, where as biking isn't something that's readily available to me without the equipment.
I do own a bike - I own this one which is great, it gets the job done. Personally I think the resistance doesn't go overly high but it's a good bike for now. I did have a spin bike, but it turns out I'm a spin bike snob and I want the one that I use at the gym, as the one I purchased didn't seem right so I got rid of it. I would absolutely prefer a spin bike over an exercise bike/recumbent bike but I would prefer this over nothing.
I have a lot of other equipment that I use at home - Boxing bag, step, weights, dumbbells', yoga mat etc.
Congratulations on your weight loss! I have plantar fasciitis… after even a normal day, my feet would be so painful those first few steps and I’d walk sorta hunched over and my feet would just ache. I got these sandals at the end of April after a recommendation. They are phenomenal - I swear they have helped with the foot aches and fatigue.. like I’ve had one day that I recall my feet hurting after I started wearing them. I got the flip flops but they have clogs (going to get them to wear in the garden) and regular shoes. I highly highly recommend them. OOFOS OOriginal Sandal, Black -... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00D1A3TC2?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
This is the one I have. It says maximum weight of 300 lbs but I use it at 350 with no problem; just a very slight feeling of a wobble when I pedal at sprint-type speeds. Doesn't feel unstable or anything. And for price the quality is quite decent.
Some really great advice here, but your very last line hit home for me. Might I recommend this product? I use it after each visit to the toilet. Lean forward and place it behind and below me in the toilet bowl. Then I just pat dry with toilet paper (where I can reach). You feel so much fresher and non-swampy, if you know what I mean
If you wear sports bras there is a really good one I love on Amazon from Champion and it's $13. I think I've purchased my last $50 Torrid sports bra. I will say though that I'm a double DD and I wear a 2x, I'm solidly in 20s, and I don't think you could go up another cup size in it so there's that. Kohls has sports bras that are reasonable if you catch them on sale and have bigger cups and decent support except the sides are not like I like them. Too low and I have side spillage so I had some and they were ok but this Champion is better.
This is what I use and it works really well. Make sure your skin is completely dry when you apply it or it will form kind of a weird paste.
My husband (6'4 300ish) and I (5'9 450ish) bought this:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016NELWXU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
about 2 years ago. I am an edge sleeper, and we both sit on the edge to dress and it has barely gotten compressed. We are downsizing to a tiny house, and are going to have to stuff this giant bed in there, because it's going to last a long time!
I bought the Dad shoes New Balance when I was 400 pounds and still have them. They are great shoes, just not the most stylish.
I can't believe I didn't think about these last night when I first responded. Apologies for that.
I go to the Nike outlet and spend under 100 on the previous year's styles. Like this one I usually get the more solid sided shoes because the loose fabric crap makes my gait worse. The air soles do better than the foam walkers because the foam distorts. I used to be a Reebok girl but my exBIL started working for Nike and I got a few free pairs and found the support the air-cushioned ones gave helped my knees mare than other styles
I use the Profoot insoles for plantar fasciitis they also come in men's for under $10.
Honestly, it depends on how much you are walking. For hardcore walking/training some sites recommend changing shoes every 300-400 miles or every 4-6 months
My son weighs around 340 lbs and he wears these, he works in a grocery store full time as a stocker. He was wearing hush puppies for a long time, which are also good, but they quit making those in his size (14). He can usually get 8 to 10 months out of a pair wearing them daily, that's the best we've ever found:
I used to use Map My Run and then later, Footpath, to plan out getting around the neighborhood before I lost basically all mobility. I liked Footpath best but iirc it didn't synch with anything. Both are free but some features you have to pay for.
People who are looking/judging have their own issues and they judge becasue they feel judged by society. Most people though have thier own issues and live inside their own heads with them. Don't compare yourself to others and don't allow other people's negativity take up space in your brain. As for walking get good walking shoes. Walk for 10 solid minutes at least once a day but aim for 3 times a day. If you can do this and don't have pain then after a few days try upping the time by 5 minutes until you can get up to an hour walking a day. then try going to 2 half hour walks and eventually get yourself to a one hour walk a day. If you have knee and ankle pain try beginner yoga videos online to strengthen your muscles you can start from chair, yin or bed yoga and work up to more intense types. If your heels hurt when you walk this is likely planter faciatis and might require inserts (the ones I use). If you get that pain in the rear like sciatica it might be psuedosciatica/piriformis pain and here are some exercises to help with that
I think having a therapist to talk to about things will be awesome. I've had a therapist off and on for years (I'm old) and only regret not talking to one sooner than I did!

So I know your main focus is getting a new fitness tracker but I figured I'd mention, if you you like data and it helps you during weightloss, a smart scale is really nice. I have a scale I didn't even realize was a smart scale, and when I did, I got the app downloaded on my phone and it gave me tons of new and helpful info. I can see my total weight, fat free body weight, muscle mass, visceral fat, subcutaneous fat, body water percentage, bone mass, etc. There are a lot of interesting data points to track. I find it really helpful because I can scroll back to previous dates in the graph and see how far I've come. I weigh daily around the same time, but I know that doesn't work for everyone. I just do it consistently so I can see the changes more clearly, like what causes me to go up in weight a little, and often I can tell my time of the month affects those numbers. I have this Renpho scale because I wanted something rechargeable and I really love it.
Anyways, I'm not sure if this will pertain to you, but it's something I thought of and wanted to add because it's helped me so much. Thought it would be something to think about at least if you don't have one already.
That long ass link is for a "lifting belt" that I see warehouse worker types of people wearing. They are supporting the front and the back. That's why I suggest the first wrap thing because it's a similar principle.
Heck, that strap thing that I linked might work but I don't know if it would fit under your clothes, hence me suggesting the previous wrap thingy.

Maybe something like the above??? It would pull your stomach back in which would mean that you wouldn't need to lean back as much to hold your stomach up.
There is a recliner that holds 770 but it seems to be out of stock everywhere. Maybe contact the manufacturer? Eek. I feel kinda weird posting this - I only wear thongs. I wear a lot of leggings and just can’t with other underwear showing lines. Also thongs are the only thing super comfy to me.
Nabatos. Cotton. Only cotton for me. They have plus sizes and the cotton stretches. Here is Amazon’s link but you can also buy from Walmart.com

I love these! They go up to 5XL. I have them in sizes XL and XXL. XL was more comfortable at 270lbs but they fit ok at 314lbs. Currently at 300lbs, I wear both sizes comfortably.

14 pounds if you are in the UK or $20 bucks in the USA. If you are another country, I don't know your exchange rate so we gonna need to google it :)
This is called Intertrigo! Don’t be embarrassed, please go see a doctor!! They can help you and more then likely you have an infection. If the OTC stuff doesn’t work, don’t wait too long to be seen. I know it’s embarrassing but doctors won’t even bat an eye, they’ve seen WAY worse. After it heals you have to be extra cautious to keep that area as clean and dry as possible! Even if you don’t shower daily, wash that area daily. If that’s too much, use baby wipes and dry well! They make products for “chub rub” if that is something you’d be interested in as well. My last suggestion is something called tummy liners, a lifesaver. You can find them on Amazon. Great investment. They are also machine washable and reusable. It basically is a piece of fabric you put in the fold and that keeps it dry and prevents that moisture from forming. Best of luck, hope your issue clears up!

Two things- consider maternity clothing. Seriously. They have nice spandex panels. You have a good chance to find something in plus sizes. I'm sorry I don't have a specific referral. 10 years ago, I did well with Target online? Next, consider maxi dresses. This one- https://www.amazon.com/Nemidor-Sleeve-Casual-Pockets-Stripe/dp/B07FTDCNLB/ref=sr_1_20?crid=10PSEOKIH6EVP&keywords=plus+size+maxi+dress+for+women+3x+4x&qid=1646788127&sprefix=pus+size+maxi+dress%2Caps%2C74&sr=8-20- I have in a few colors. Wearing bike shorts under may be more comfy for you.
I don't know if something like this would help you at home - but I had this fold up recumbent bike for the past two years (it was still in fantastic condition when I got rid of it)
Can you get something like this there? It's 181kg, but I will say I was riding it without so much as a wobble at around 220kg
I also have long, straight, flat hair and am 50. I recently cut mine to a long bob (above my shoulders) and use a Revlon hair dryer/volumizer thing that really helps with some fullness. I part on one side, and have longer bands that cover some of my forehead (without being mall bangs). Kinda like this but with some side bangs...
I used a tub transfer bench on Amazon and it was listed as having a certain weight capacity. The word “bariatric” may be used. So that’s what I use and it’s great! Like this one:

these I looove these! I have them in XL and XXL. XXL fits better right now at ~310lbs. XL fit better when I was like 270lbs but I can still fit in them now, it just rides up my butt more lol. Sizing goes up to 5XL!
I like these ones from Amazon. I’ve worn these almost exclusively for a few years now. They’re not very cute, but they’re cotton, comfy, and the seams/elastic don’t dig like some underwear do.. I’ve had a few pair tear along the seam after lots of use, but they’ve held up well overall. I used to buy all my underwear from Lane Bryant, but their stuff seems to have gone downhill in the last few years. Every pair of underwear I’ve bought from them ends up getting holes along the leg hole seams, and like you said, I don’t want to buy expensive disposable underwear.
Is it something with multiple dogs at once and other people even sometimes? If so everyone might appreciate something you could move around as you work in the area like this Amazon link, or even to leave at common areas or stations.
I don't have any knee pad suggestions though sorry. I have never found a knee pad or brace that properly fit while obese as the straps or sleeve are never sized right, or just slide down anyway.
Another option is you might look for work pants with built in knee padding, the convenience may outweigh the cost.
These are great too.
This works amazing since you can keep adjusting until you get to your final weight and get it resized. I had to buy one for my engagement ring and just put it on a few days ago!

I had a recumbent exercise bike at home that I used. This is the one I had, it was great and served it's purpose - but while at the gym I got heavily in to spin classes and got rid of that one and bought a Spin bike (Essentially a peloton, but cheaper) I've been using the spin bike in the gym since I was over 500lbs - I use a seat cushion - this is the one I use, but there's many.
I won't lie the first few weeks of me using the spin bike my arse hurt so much. SO MUCH. haha, now it doesn't really hurt at all, you get used to it. I still use the cushion but now only really so that my arse has a little more room.
The capacity of the spin bike I have at home, and the one I use at the gym both have a weight limit of 350lbs and I've had no trouble with them. I'm able to be out of saddle etc and they're been great. I absolutely love Spin. I follow Les Mills The Trip workouts, Les Mills RPM and Les Mills Sprint (HIIT SPIN) I do these both at the gym and if I can't make it to the gym for my class then I can do it at home and play the videos on my TV.
The Les Mills stuff is a monthly subscription, but I also do their combat, step and bodypump classes - my husband is a huge fan of their stuff too so he follows along and uses the spin bike for them now too.
I don't know how much this will help, but I had this bike I'm over 6ft and it was fine for me, my son would use it when he was around 12? So probably around 5ft ish then.
It was a great bike, very sturdy - it says 400lbs but I was using it at over 500lbs. I've traded it in for a Spin bike now, so if you're in the weight limit for one of those then have you considered getting one? My son, myself and my husband all use it as both the seat and the handle bars adjust - We use them in the gym and one of the instructors must be slightly over 5ft and there are people taller than I am in there and we all use the same bikes fine.
My employer bought one of these for me when I started. I liked it so much I bought one for home. Then Covid happened, they made WFH permanent and allowed us to take our chairs (and other stuff) home. So now i have 2.
Since Covid started I'm probably in this chair at least 10 hours per day every day of the week. It's very comfortable and not hot to sit in. The arms raise and lower if you need that. Also the height adjustment has held up well for over 2 years, which is usually the first thing to go in my chairs. i'm also well over the weight limit.
This is literally two blocks of wood with rubber around them. You put them on the pedal allowing shorter folks to "reach".
On a sit up exercise bike, this might just do the trick.
I have very large upper arms, so I purchased this one. It's a little pricey, but it works really well and was the only one that came with the larger style cuff. The cuff includes markings on it so you know you're using the correct size.
I have used this cuff with success. You don’t include an arm measurement but my upper arms are disproportionately larger than the rest of me and even at my highest weight this cuff worked - might be worth measuring and checking out 👍
I Have Been Friends With This Sweet Lady For Over Five Years
She is wonderful
As a slightly different option than what /u/Less_Fat_John shared, I've had this 2-pack for 3 years now and have worn one or the other daily and they are still in great shape. You can get them up to 62" long and they stretch a few inches more.
I've had the other ones that were shared and they would tend to roll up on me after a few hours. These others are a lot wider and I don't have any issues with them rolling up.
