I have the Complete National Geographic DVD, which I bought over 10 years ago - it has all the National Geographic issues from 1888 to 2008. But the DVD set had copy protection, and all the images were encoded into a proprietary format, which made it very frustrating and cumbersome to search and access. But two years ago, I discovered a command-line hacking tool that decodes all the encoded images into regular jpeg data, so I used a recursive Powershell script to decode all the images (this took a few days). Then I used a command-line text recognition tool, ImageMagick, and a recursive Powershell script to perform text recognition on all the images (this also took a few days). This way, I am now able to quickly flip through all the images and look for key words to easily narrow down my searches without bothering with DVD's.
What VPN service are you using? I have NordVPN, and sometimes I have to try different servers to get one that is not blocked by Netflix. It works on my Android phone, and Windows PC. I'm not in Syria.
It is the other way around, the US views all middle east politics through the lens of Israel, that is why US cronies rush to please Israel. The USME policy is tailored to suite Israel and if you can not see that, you are missing the big picture. " the centerpiece of U.S. Middle East policy has been its relationship with Israel. I accessed a copy at the Internet Archive here. Unfortunately, only one user can borrow this book at one time for 1 hours or 14 days. Fortunately, I screen captured most of the pages. An updated 2011 edition of the book appears to be available on Amazon used.
Last year we announced release of "Alef: Learn Arabic for Kids" on Android, and a lot of you had asked us to keep them in the loop when the iOS version gets released. Today we're doing just that!
What's unique about the app is that you can choose to teach your kids Arabic in different dialects: Classical Arabic, Egyptian Arabic, Lebanese Arabic, Palestinian Arabic and Syrian Arabic. The app is aimed at kids who are at least a year old.
Let us know what you think of the app, and please share the app with your friends and family.
