Your best bet might be to start with the two Ultimate Editions: https://www.amazon.com/Amory-Wars-Second-Turbine-Ultimate-ebook/dp/B071KW34DC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1537406537&sr=8-1&keywords=amory+wars
These two books tell the story of their first two albums, Second Stage Turbine Blade and In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3. Outside of those two books, they've also released a deluxe edition of Year of the Black Rainbow and The Afterman, both of which contain books telling the stories of those albums. In total, there are four books each of which are available and contain an entire album's worth of story.
In Amory Wars story chronological order (Album release date in parentheses):
The Afterman (Ascension (2012) and Descension (2013)) - Full story available (Novel/picture book)
Year of the Black Rainbow (2010) - Full story available (Novel)
Second Stage (2002) - Full story available (Comics)
In Keeping Secrets (2003) - Full story available (Comics)
Good Apollo 1: Burning Star IV (2005) (Comics - in progress)
Good Apollo 2: No World for Tomorrow (2007) (No official literature yet)
The Unheavenly Creatures: Vaxis - Act 1 (2018)... (Will be included with deluxe edition)
TLDR: Start with the Ultimate editions. They're much easier to find right now, probably cheaper, and they're the traditional starting point. Also this post is a mess but I hope it makes sense. Coheed albums have jumped around on the core Amory Wars timeline. Two prequel albums (Afterman/YOTBR), 4 'core' albums, and now 1 sequel album (Unheavenly Creatures).
Note: The Color Before the Sun (2015) isn't a typical Coheed album and has no concept.
Gotta start Em off young! Welcome little child of the fence!
As for the parent may I recommend to the Coheed and Cambria lullabies for the little one?

Congrats on the new addition!
The Amory Wars: The Second Stage Turbine Blade https://www.amazon.com/dp/1684151120/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_Ht1JCbVZXCAHM
This should be the entirety of the SSTB run of comics in a single book. There is also one for In Keeping Secrets, as well.
I'm baffled that I never see more than 2 or 3 other people wearing plugs at shows.
These are a good starter pair. If you have more coin to spare, I'd recommend getting custom fit.
https://www.amazon.com/Etymotic-Fidelity-Earplugs-ER20XS-Standard/dp/B00RM6Q9XW/ - if you search around amazon for this brand, you can find additional sizes, I've linked to standard fit.
Link if you wanna crap on my prices...
Edit: You are wrong. I'm lower than eBay and Amazon, it's the hardcover ultimate edition, kindle ultimate edition isn't even that low
edit2: downvotes dont change facts, dude is thinking of the wrong edition, here's the correct product
Thank you! I didn't record the guitars, but i'm like 90% sure my guitarist used these tabs for all of the guitars/bass.
http://www.songsterr.com/a/wsa/coheed-and-cambria-you-ve-got-spirit-kid-tab-s399834t2
Hey, glad you enjoyed the show! I know a lot of people don't, but definitely consider getting earplugs - tinnitus is not fun and and the damage is irreversible and it's definitely not just for the kids.
These are the ones that I and the rest of my band use when both playing and going to shows, they last a while and don't sound muffled like those foam ones that just block out all the nice high end tone. Keep that hearing good for all the Coheed shows in the future you haven't gone to yet :)
Also available for preorder on Amazon!
Hey, man. Not selling, but wanted to give you the heads-up that YOTBR is incredibly rare. Only ran in print twice. However, you can get a digital copy on Amazon for 10 bucks. It's way cheaper than any offers you'll typically get, so I recommend it if you don't mind e-books.
As for Afterman, you can also get that story in the live edition. Sadly, what I linked is only the music and not the full package. It's in a smaller format rather than a full-sized coffee table book, but it's still the same story. I took a look and couldn't find a decently-priced copy at the moment, but they pop up from time to time. Might be worth taking a look at.
You'd also be missing the story of Vaxis, Act 1: The Unheavenly Creatures, also a boxset exclusive coffee table book. Considering it only came out 2 months ago, most people will still be clutching tight to it.
As of now, that's the entire story as we know it. No World For Tomorrow is the next comic, but it's always hard to tell how long it'll take before it's released. As for the confusion on following along, let me give you a hand: The main story is SSTB, IKSSE:3, GAIBS4, and NWFT. Meanwhile, YotBR is a prequel. The Afterman is kind of a spin-off that doesn't really feed into the main plot, but is a great contained tale. Meanwhile, UC is the start of a new story post-NWFT: Set in the same universe but (So far) having no strong relation to the main story. But we have 4 more albums before we get the full Vaxis story, so who knows?
Still, good luck! I hope you enjoy the story and I hope you're able to read it all!
(Edited to clarify my link to The Afterman on Amazon)
I don't think this is it. The pictures they've posted on instagram are definitely a different design.
Look here, the white is next to the text in this photo.
Plus, they teased it for a 11/30/15 release, yet the one you linked has been on the merch site for a few days now.
You can buy the Kindle version on amazon.
https://store.coheedandcambria.com/
Looks like Amazon has it for preorder as well.
Not sure if places like BestBuy will have it on release date.
Sounds good! I may actually have the AVI files now that you mention it. I'll look in a few. :)
Edit: FOUND IT! UPLOADING NOW!! Offer still stands on the dvds for everyone, though. :)
Edit 2: About 600mb left to upload but it's dragging and I need to sleep. I will post the link here for anyone still interested in about 10 hours!
Edit 3: Have at it!
Another Aussie here. I got mine from here, free shipping!
Bring ear plugs. About 30 minutes into the set I took mine out just to see how loud it actually was and instantly knew I made the right choice. I got a $12 pair of Amazon and will bring them to every show I go to from now on. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0015WJQ7A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
here is how I'm reading the new GAIBSIV comics. Unfortunately you can't download them to read offline, but at least you have a digital copy through the website. I also like the way they handle the navigation of the pages. Just press the ^ arrow key on your keyboard and it will zoom in on the first panel, then you can just scroll through using the left and right arrow keys. Pretty nifty IMO
Would highly recommend getting both, G&K adds a lot whilst BNW changes the game drastically, and makes it significantly better.
G2A.com have the expansions really cheap ^(note, the link is my referal link. The expansions on G2A for Civ5 are community market, meaning I don't get commission on them, but if you were to return later and buy something from G2A directly, I'd get commission. I just thought I'd point this out.)
Oh, also, though shield guarantees your purchase, it is a bit of a pain in the ass. I don't actually recommend it unless you're able to give a few hours time to go through the shield process.
Damn dude, I hope you're able to find a place to stay. Upvoted for visibility. Just wanted to suggest a safety net incase this doesn't work out for you.
I've used Airbnb before and it was great and pretty inexpensive.
Also I've had friends who've had success with Couchsurfing
I wish I could be of more help but alas, Colorado isn't exactly close to Toronto.
Try a website called songsterr. It's like Guitar Pro, in Web app form, and a lot of the tabs have drums, bass and effects, as well as the guitar parts.
http://www.songsterr.com/a/wsa/coheed-and-cambria-in-keeping-secrets-of-silent-earth-3-tab-s4558t1
Hope this doesn't come off as super hipster, but my first introduction to the band was via some random college internet radio station back when I was in eighth grade (2001-2002). They played Delirium Trigger followed by Cassiopeia from what I can only assume was Shabutie's "Delirium Trigger EP
Kept up with the band into the Coheed transition and they've been my favorite ever since. I remember buying WoW on release day and getting so angry that the name Cassiopeia was taken...I fell back on creating an undead Mage named Casseopia...those were the days.

If you're looking in person, not sure. But that's probably the product you want, it's the hardcover with all of the Good Apollo run.
If you do want to do it in person to support local, you're probably paying way closer to list price. My best suggestion is to prowl around bookstores and comic stores. If nobody has it in stock, ask employees about special orders. I'm almost positive I remember getting some of the comics that way, just by asking a guy in a local comic shop. Big bookstores like B+N or Books+Co would probably do it too. May need to pay in advance or put down a deposit, but lots of places should be able to order it and call you when it arrives.
Edit: If you want singles or trade paperbacks, probably need to talk to comic stores for that.

Okay I just found this on Amazon! I placed my order for it and the total was $43.89. Release date says August 15th, 2017.
Also, Boom Studios updated their listing and it now says "Awaiting new printing. Actual release date to be determined.".
The listed price is about half of the price on Amazon but you can't buy yet. I am definitely making this a bookmark and checking every day.
I just noticed today you can pre order it on amazon! https://www.amazon.com/Amory-Wars-Good-Apollo-Burning/dp/1684152364/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1523899045&sr=8-2&keywords=amory+wars+good+apollo
Amazon has the Tiger's Eye variant up for pre-ordered as well.
Just saw this on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Amory-Wars-Apollo-Burning-Ultimate/dp/1684155142/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=good+apollo+ultimate&qid=1560864284&s=books&sr=1-1

So, possibly releasing on 10/08/19!
IKSSE3 shouldn't be too hard to find. They just did a pretty massive pressing of a remaster on 180g a year or two ago, I believe.
Unless you wanted a specific variant of it.
https://www.amazon.com/Keeping-Secrets-Silent-Earth/dp/B00M0CXA44
I purchased it on Amazon. It's the cheapest I could find. It does have mixed reviews, but the one I got is perfect for what I need. The frame is a little spaced out on the ends so the poster will be a tad bit unfitting, just keep that in mind, but other than that, it's great! Here's the link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00XIMKMM8?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Year of the Black Rainbow (The Amory Wars Book 1) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006OUEBIC/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_DZREWM727PGD4FR09856 You can read on your computer or phone with the Kindle app, which is free you download. Highly recommend.
So, I got into the comics WAY after the music, so I don’t know if this is everything. However, you can get the hardcovers from Amazon, which (I believe) includes all the individual issues released so far. Here’s the link for SSTB, which if you scroll down you can see the other two as well The Amory Wars: The Second Stage Turbine Blade https://www.amazon.com/dp/1684151120/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_5RZ35X96N27XW8FEMRMX
If you decide to get a table, I've had one of these for years and it's still going strong: https://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-AT-LP60-Automatic-Belt-Drive-Turntable/dp/B08M116YSJ/
Audio Technica makes some solid-yet-affordable audio equipment.
If you can afford a little more and have prime, there's a red variant on Amazon right now for $50 (free shipping).
These are excellent for kids who don't want stuff inside their ears.

Yep. Comixology ( the digital comics site, for those note familiar) already have issues one and 2 up for pre order with Mid April release.
EDIT: JK, April 5 for issue 1. Link here
You can get the kindle version on amazon for a ton cheaper if you want to read a digital version :)
(Sorry for the giant link. I'm on my phone)
Yes, either ear plugs or over the ear protection. My son uses these ones, and they work great! https://www.amazon.com/Pro-Ears-Hearing-Protection-Skulls/dp/B00649B4II/ref=sr\_1\_4?dchild=1&keywords=revo+pro+ears&qid=1631631300&sr=8-4
SSTB, IKSSE:3, and GAIBS:IV all have hardcover editions on Amazon that include all volumes compiled together.
I got it on Amazon for $19.98.
I don't think there's anything special or exclusive about this version, but it's affordable.
I'm not 100% sure they ever released the CD's separately from the box set (they may have though).
You can find the box set on Amazon if you're willing to drop over 200 bucks for it. Alternatively, the standalone DVD set is on Amazon for 14 bucks:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001R0KHDW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_ERJXBb5J6AY52
You could always rip the DVD audio tracks and chop them up with Audacity or something like that. That would also get you the full version of Good Apollo (they cut some of the jams on the official CD release). Though it also means 21:13 gets cut off at the end.
Ahh i see, well since you seem to know what you're talking about, i saw this up for sale on amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Amory-Wars-Good-Apollo-Burning/dp/168415068X) is this one the volumes you speak of or is it just issue #1? nothing in the description makes it clear really.
The etymotics the other guy recommended are really great, but when you are in the crowd the stems on those suckers are not fun - they can be bumped out of your ears easily or hit and it feels like getting stabbed.
I highly recommend either Eargasm or Earasers WITH THE HIGHEST FILTER earaser sells (31db/16 NRR). The standard filter sold on amazon does not bring concerts down to a safe hearing level.
The Eargasm come with a cool carrying case and have two shell sizes. They have different colored filters if you look on amazon - I have their rainbow ones, they also offer clear!
Earasers you can barely see in your ear, they are quite cool. Most adult men can wear the medium size shell, but I think the starter kit I linked is a great idea, to try a couple sizes and see what works for you. They also have a pretty good return policy if you don't want to get the start kit, you just pay for shipping if I recall.

You can buy Octahedron for like $40 on Amazon right now.
That's not one of the albums people generally care about collecting.
Even the white variant is only like $50 on discogs.
From Fear Through The Eyes Of Madness
In Keeping Secrets Of Silent Earth: 3
These are on amazon for fairly cheap.
My take on the Essential III is that you can get a whole lot more turn table for not a whole lot more money by getting a Debut Carbon. I think an Essential III is $350 and the Debut Carbon is easy to find for $400. 50 bucks more buys you a way better cart/stylus and an overall better build. No built in Pre-amp, but It's better to spend the extra $50 on a better table and get an external preamp or an amp with a built in phono-stage. If you don't want to throw a bunch of $$ on a preamp, you can get a decent enough one for very cheap
The only caveat is if you play a lot of 45rpm records. If you do, the Debut Carbon is a pain because you have to lift the platter to change the speed. Other than that, it's an amazing table. I don't really ever see myself upgrading from mine.
I didn't mean to come across as an asshole, you'd be surprised on how often these questions come up.
Anyway, here is a copy of Second Stage Turbine Blade Ultimate Edition. This is about as cheap as you're gonna find it. Luckily, they reprinted it recently because the original editions were going for much higher. In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 Ultimate Edition is about the same price.
You can get them with a custom-cut mat like that here. I'd probably just go with one of those, or search for "LP Frame with mat" and browse as you like!
Ok yea. I don't know what i was seeing on the bottom left but I gotcha.
I'm subscribed to the current run of GA. I was talking about the first version, though... https://www.amazon.com/Good-Apollo-Burning-Through-Madness/dp/B001AZSTXO
Please don't buy from this guy. Black pressing just came out and this ass somehow as 40+ RSD releases and is flipping them.
Link for cheap release: Black amazon release
Are they selling GA vinyl on this tour? Is it any different than the commercially available one (https://www.amazon.com/Good-Apollo-Burning-Star-One/dp/B071HGJMZ8/ref=sr_1_1_twi_lp__2?ie=UTF8&qid=1494351282&sr=8-1&keywords=good+apollo+i%27m+burning+star+iv)?
Unfortunately cancelling a pre-order with SRC only gives you store credit, not an actual refund. If /u/shoddydig/ already pre-ordered from there it is probably best for him to stick with it.
Sadly he probably already paid $29.99 + shipping when Amazon has it for $27.06 with free shipping: https://www.amazon.com/Good-Apollo-Burning-Star-One/dp/B071HGJMZ8/ref=sr_1_1_twi_lp__2?ie=UTF8&qid=1494941395&sr=8-1&keywords=good+apollo
Doesn't look like it's missing on the Amazon site :)
I know you can get a Kindle version of YOTBR on Amazon. You can get all of IKSSE:3 on comixology. As for the others, there's not really a medium to grab them online. Not great for SSTB, but Good Apollo (as previously stated) will be re-released soon. I've got a feeling that'll be released digital just like IKSSE:3.
Yeah, it was announced in a couple other places too; I saw it on Instagram of all places first. Kid Crazy and the Kilowatt King
It's a Jensen JTA-230.
It's not the best but it's pretty good for a $50 player. It plays pretty well and doesn't have a bad sound.
I picked up both of the ultimate editions of the first two series on Amazon a while back.
and
Great starting places. I'm hanging fire on Good Apollo until Claudio releases the redone version in a similar Ultimate collection.
