I live in Hamburg so I checked the Telefonbuch and found Paul’s MySpace which led me to three people he’s apparently close to.
Max hahn, Andrej rublov, Bettina goebel ( might be his wife since she might also live in Hamburg )
I also watched some documentaries and there’s a guy that has contact to Paul, his name is Holger Roloff and I found his xing account. https://www.xing.com/profile/Holger_Roloff The page says it has Holgers email and phone number but to access it you need an account
Besides that I know where the NDR hq is in Hamburg so if he works there I could ask for him and maybe speak to him personally
Not sure if this helps but I’ll post more info if I find anything new
Hi,
I have an idea for searching the song. I use this post because I don't speak english very well, so maybe it will be not clear my idea.
So, the search idea is using a search engine for music that can compare all the music on a website (or on internet), just comparing the file.
I don't know if something like this it really exists, but it could be useful.
I mean something like Shazam, but that can search and compare on an entire website (like the audio preview of discogs)
Let me know if you like the idea and if somebody think that's it's possible
i've found this site, but I think it has the same database of Shazam or similar, because it recognizes the same song by antwon01

Thanks and sorry for my english
I had the exact same thought - but would'nt "like the wind" make sense too? Like comparing the speed he's running at to the speed of the wind? I hope you get what I mean haha. But yes, for me it could also be "behind" and the very start of the first sentence could just kinda be cut off due to an editing/a recording error or the recording starting 0.5 seconds too late (would'nt be untypical for the time the song was produced at) thus it does not really sound like "behind". Just a vague theory though.
Edit: Actually there is a german saying: "Wie der Wind rennen/ Ich renne wie der Wind"
which I personally would translate to
"Running like the wind/ I'm running like the wind"

Actually, someone else found it. It's this box set. 50 movies. I plan on buying it next paycheck since I lost the original in a house fire.
hey i’m new and i just found out about that story.
i thought about it. but if i understand you all only (i’m not trying to sound condescending) did research informations in the ndr1 radio station but how about searching in other German radio stations that had maybe played this song in 1984 ?
Someone uploaded the Song to Spotify under his name. It got removed/deleted from Spotify but if you try to Shazam the song then it will still link to that guy's Spotify and Shazam won't change that until you can tell them who the song is actually from. https://www.shazam.com/track/484808139/like-the-wind
I've just started a topic on rutracker.org, it's the largest and oldest of the Russian torrent trackers with a huge community. Unfortunately these "general talk" threads have a few visitors but who knows? And let's hope the topic won't be closed for some outrageous breaking of the rules, there are so many of them that only the moderators know them all.
I remember a while ago someone claimed they heard is somewhere on this huge boxset of horror b-movies.

Is this the one you found? It has 50 movies, so it probably has the one OP mentioned! u/iamnotnotarobot, is this the box set? Do you remember any details about the movie?
