I've had Torguard for years but wanted something else that is more Android TV box friendly. Thanks to your VPN Tier list, I found WeVPN and . I'm choosing WeVPN mainly because of cost. Even though is now offering 10 simultaneous connections, it just comes down to price. Thank you for your reviews!!
I'm testing Torguard for a month and will probably sign up for 3 years. A couple of minor issues with it but I can work around them. Speed from here in New Zealand is so much better than the other VPNs I've tested.
After your review I just wanted to test before committing to 3 years with TG. I'm really impressed with the speeds on the free version.
Keep up the good work.
Superb! You sketch a real picture of vpn providers. I really love to read this review. However, you didn't mention some popular names such as Nord, SurfShark, Proton, TunnelBear, CyberGhost and many more. Any reason.
Thanks for your research. At the present, NordVPN is working great for netflix and other streaming platforms. I can access US, UK, Canada, Japan, Germany, France, Australia regions very well within this week.
Mullvad is most wondrous, unless thee useth vpn f'r unblocking streaming contents

The only thing that holds me back from trying WeVPN is the data limits, if you upload or download over a certain amount they will stop your service (i believe without refund?). Obviously they wont disclose what the limits are which i understand... But its enough to put me off trying as im a bandwidth heavy user... That said im very happy with Torguard who do seem to throttle somewhat but they do not have any overall data limits.
I made a video about this a couple of years ago:
I also find that Surfshark, NordVPN, and AtlasVPN are all very very similar in pricing, marketing, and products.
I have Wevpn and enjoy it very much. It usually works very well although I have experienced a few of those bugs from time to time. Torguard worked flawless for me when I tested it for a month but sadly I didn't have the streaming bundle. I would love to try out hide . me someday.
Excellent review of Torguard 2022 as usual. When I used the vpntierlist recommend link to purchase the price of standard showed $24 but in going to the cart now shows 29.99. The pro goes from 47.60 to 59.50. FYI only as I know you don't operate the Torguard website, but you might have connections : )
Ivacy is really good. Another one which I recommend is BulletVPN. FastestVPN is also not bad but a little basic ) even though they have activated a premium subscription so it might be worth to check out).
Most of the time I hide users or commenters who annoy me, or are overly negative. I don't need negativity surrounding myself online. Sounds like you fell under that radar...
As to what you said, I apologize for not looking at this year yet. The old review was pretty accurate, and only 1 year or so old though.
As to unogs, I already knew about the website. That's why stream regions, as well as my subreddit, had a disclaimer explaining how I was using their public API and thanking the website for giving access to it.
Using one of your coupon codes for Torguard, I pay 4.99 US (6.17 Canadian) a month. looks nearly perfect to me, but I don't think paying 16 dollars a month is worth it at all.
Kape was originally a malware company, after they got in legal trouble they completely revamped and became a privacy company. They bought Private Internet Access and CyberGhost, and now express. VPNs being acquired is never really a good thing. Because their privacy practices could be subject to change. At the moment I wouldn’t use a vpn owned by Kape, as a result of their sketchy past and questionable staff. But it could be good as they have more resources and funds to improve the service. Linus Tech Tips did an interview with staff of PIA that you could check out if you want more details ()
Used Mullvad for the past 2-3 years, absolutely loved it.
I am planning to change though, it's just abit dated i feel. You can't use it for streaming content, sometimes a server will completely die which will require you to switch servers, its speeds are very variable from what ive found over the years...

It's very good dont get me wrong, but it's just had such a slow development and lack of updates.

Maybe best going with a different provider.
Thank you. Privacy and security are my highest priority which make me lean toward Torguard a little bit more than WeVPN. When using the dedicated IP addresses from Torguard can any website find out that you using VPN and block you. I’m generally speaking not only for unlocking geo strictions for streaming services but also all other websites? I’m asking because I’m traveling soon and might be away for a long time and don’t want to be locked out from any of my accounts or anything like that.
Generally a solid service with a decent team. That said, I think TorGuard and WeVPN have better long-term price plans, more active communities and outreach (WeVPN has a discord server where you can talk with devs and TorGuard has really good forums), and more streaming compatibility.
Mullvad has also had slow development times in the past and are a bit lacking in some features that newer VPNs like WeVPN have begun to implement (encrypted DNS services, dns geo-unblocking, data breach alerts, etc).
