Lived at the ECV, YES they are worth the money!! The mattresses there are the same as any other dorm or apartment - it’s those navy ones that I like to call glorified gym mats. I got a 3 inch gel-infused memory foam topper off Amazon and slept like a baby all 4 years of college on it, you gotta invest! Yes they’re expensive but they last and I even sold mine recently for like $40 on FB marketplace.

I've got a place with a pac man machine and a pool table. I'm down to host a cook out/drink and play video games. Let me know of any interest. Live across from milledge place
edit: weekend after father's day? bacon wrapped hot dogs, beer, bourbon, hamburgers, pac man, pool and rock band? hit me up
edit 2: contact me here
I would offer the following...
1 – Yes, as seen here, reviews for Patterson at GPC are glowing.
2 – The stuff you cover in ACCT2102 really doesn't make its way into FINA3000 (generally seen as the "next" class in sequence), so you're safe if you walk away with a less–than–thorough knowledge of managerial and it shouldn't derail you too much.
3 – Dropping the class this early might be premature. You have no idea how you'll do on the exam(s). If you want me to meet you today on campus, I will gladly coach you through what you can expect to see. No charge or strings attached. Just text me at (302)–428–9538 and I'll make it happen.
Whatever you decide to do – best of luck.
To shed a little light on what being an "undocumented" person entails, Freedom University put together a great fact sheet.
Are you good at problem solving? If you are, you can try to take the intro CS courses and see if you like them.
Even easier, try some practice coding websites like Codecademy and see if coding is for you.
Best of luck!
Can't personally vouch for any of them though. Sorry, but hope this helps.
I just walked in and asked, you can call them too. There are 47 prep questions here but there are MANY topics not covered by the prep questions. Bel-Jean's has a prep packet for ~$7. Haven't been through it, but it looks quite extensive.
If you want answers to those prep questions here is a flashcard set. Not made by me.

It's such a small item, I'd be willing to make you one for only $5. I'm pretty sure makexyz accepts PayPal. If it doesn't, feel free to message me and we can work something out.
The ones that have a presentation on them are recorded and sent out in the emails that list out all of the events. Here's a link to the recording that was sent out yesterday (College Conversation CENGR).
> Where i come from
Ah, so because the one gym you used to go to is one way, then ramsey should be that way too?
> you never pick anything up that you can't put back down
It's about whether or not you're training the eccentric portion of the lift, not whether or not you "can't put it back down."
Not everyone trains the same way you do. Nor should they. You wanna tell this dude that he's a bitch for complaining that he can't drop weights?
And why are you replying to my 4 month old post? I don't even lift at ramsey anymore. I have a gym in my house now, and I slam my weights into the ground as hard as I fucking can, because I fucking can.
I found the topic mundane like nothing else, but the class itself wasn't hard. You might be surprised to learn that the class is mostly graded on four group projects. Talk about a coordination nightmare at times. Two of them are five-page case studies about a given topic and the other two are ten-minute video presentations about a business topic of your choice. One of each is due at the midterm, and the others are due at the end. The other part of the course was chapter quizzes from the textbook through eLC. He gives you 30 minutes to answer ten questions. There are 13 quizzes that go along with 13 chapters, all open throughout the entire course and due at the end (so work at your own pace).
It seems like a lot, but it really isn't if you have a decent group and give it some time on the weekends. I mean, these projects take the place of the semester exams, so if you'd prefer to take exams, then wait until the fall.

I'm not aware of how Popcorn Time works (I know of it, just haven't used it or researched it).
However, the simple (and only solution, really) to your dilemma is to use a VPN. Doing so means UGA will not be able to decipher your Internet traffic; all they will see is you connected to said VPN provider.
I use Private Internet Access for a variety of things (bypassing regional locks on certain sites, like the BBC), and it should work for your purposes as well.
Do mind that a paid VPN will be necessary. No free service is truly free - there will be a catch somewhere, be it through ads or slow speeds, etc.
An idea would be to split the cost of the VPN amongst your friends, like some do with Spotify family subscriptions.
Absolutely, we'll have that and about 499 more games once we open. We are entering games in as fast we can - but you can check the current list on our website or on BGG.com
Athens is, on average, 6 degrees warmer than Blacksburg. In the summer it's within about a degree of Richmond, but in the winter it's about 5 degrees warmer. My perception is that it's not quite as humid as Richmond, but I don't know if that's true. So, compared to Richmond you won't notice much of a difference in the summer, but you probably will notice that the winters are warmer.
If you want to see the temperature graphs, go here: https://weatherspark.com/compare/y/16237~20906/Comparison-of-the-Average-Weather-in-Athens-and-Richmond
Overall, Athens is a 2 Walmart town, whereas you have to travel to Christiansburg to find the closest Walmart to VT. I think everyone else has pretty much covered the other major differences.
Brilliant marketing move by dropbox. I feel like I work for them.
UGA is pretty close to 8gb mark in the space race. https://www.dropbox.com/spacerace - know anyone else who has'nt done this? let's invite more ppl!
Yes, but not UGA’s VPN. If you use something like TunnelBear or Nord, your traffic’s encrypted until it hits one of that company’s “exit nodes,” which is to say your data enters the internet from someplace other than the network where your device connects. (This is how you can use a VPN to get around Netflix or the BBC’s region locks and stream content that’s only supposed to be available in another country, for instance.) Your data may pass through a bunch of equipment on the way to that exit node, but it’ll be practically impossible for anyone on one of those systems to snoop on it.
UGA’s VPN is set up to “split tunnel,” which means that only the traffic to UGA services is encrypted and everything else is handled normally.
If you're willing to drive 90+ minutes north, there are some great mountains to see in North Georgia. Blood Mountain is pretty popular, and leads to a part of the Appalachian Trail. There's also Yonah Mountain and Springer Mountain which are about on par with Blood Mountain in difficulty. Fort Mountain can be interesting because there's an ancient 850-foot wall thought to have been built by Native Americans.
https://www.alltrails.com - AllTrails can be a great resource for finding places nearby to hike and explore. You can filter your searches based on things you want to see like bridges, waterfalls, etc.
So, I know I'm late to this, but sorry. I just joined a few days ago. I took FINA 3000E last summer. It was much easier than I've heard the semester version being, but it was still a lot of work and I definitely learned a lot. Spent probably about ten hours a week on the class due to the faster pace. There were two midterm exams that are entirely on eLC (just like a quiz would be). You have to buy some software that monitors you and your computer during the exam, so there is no way to cheat. He puts up dozens of pre-recorded lectures that are pretty helpful. If you have good study habits, then you'll be fine.

I got the OCM frame from Amazon and it has been more than adequate for my needs, some of the frames in the bookstore are overpriced and oversized.

Update: We received an email that our class will be taken over by Professor McClain but still very little is known about Professor Trandel's cause of death.
Has anyone taken her 2106 class or taken any of her classes? She doesn't have the highest ratings on RMP.
Although 18 year olds can be relatively annoying, as long as whoever I share a room with respects basic boundaries and isn't messy, there won't be any problems (crossing my fingers!) I have absolutely no intentions on driving drunk. I am one of the few persons I know who hasn't and I do not believe it is something to be taken lightly. I had a major car accident on 316 (closer to Gwinnett) where I was side swiped at 60 mph and sent flying into another car (http://tinypic.com/r/10d61di/5). I am not sure if I am within my posting rights as I am new to reddit. I was seriously injured but I now have complete respect for cars now.
I am looking at joining the french club and possibly declaring a french minor.
I mean, being more experienced with anything will always help, but it isn't a prerequisite for the class. You'll learn everything you need to in the class.
However, if you want to prepare this might help.
Mathematics.
I've created the mock-ups using the tools at https://marvelapp.com/. I don't know how it compares to other applications. I did a basic search and it seemed to be good enough to start. I'm certainly open to alternative suggestions.
Do you know how I could get in touch with people in MIS or CS? (I currently live in the mid-west.)
Aw man, you're missing out :). The new game comes out on Friday, too! I've never tried the TCG beyond looking at the pretty pictures though, so I guess I can't say much haha.
if you get bored, check out Pokemon Showdown. It's a battle sim that will show you what battling has become now-a-days on console. I'm your go-to gal if you want to get back into it haha.
Have a good one otherwise, though :).
Below are some ideas:
-Portable charger.
-Instant Pot or Instant Pot Hot Cold Blender...I heard this one is fantastic.
-Clear Stadium Purse for games
-Netflix or Amazon Fire TV Stick.
-Laptop Cooling Pad.
-USB Bedside table lamp.
-Ramen and more Ramen. This will get her through. Oh...and some hot chocolate!
Hope this helps!
Just entertain yourself by doing EVERYTHING on the list ‘How to not get bored’ in Nuggets of Fun (amazon - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09FC6FD2C/ref=olp-opf-redir?aod=1&ie=UTF8&condition=new ). It’s a list of crazy things to keep you entertained e.g. drive through a DriveThru in a children’s toy car and act like everything’s normal, blast Kahoot music at 3 a.m., teach a parrot to say, “oh no! I’ve been turned into a parrot!”, or yodel at a chipmunk, just to name a few. You can also check it out on insta @nuggetsoffun
Something like this? this exact model may not fit in the mini fridge but I had a friend that had a smaller version of this. I’m the brita filling roommate so I feel your pain
Had a small roach problem back in 2018 and these seemed to resolve the issue. Haven't seen any since: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001EGMZC0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This is the one that I use currently. My laptop converts into a tablet which makes it much easier to write. Also, you cannot have your wrist touch the screen while you're writing or else it messes everything up. For $11, I've loved it since I got it. Again, I only use the stylus to highlight or draw diagrams and not for my main note-taking (that's what the keyboard is for).
This is the safer route and exactly what I'd recommend to the OP. I use BTGuard and have had few complaints, but definitely check out /r/VPN for more information. Alternatively, you could start using a private tracker instead of TPB and stop worrying (/r/trackers)
Get a VPN and stop worrying. I pay ~$5 a month for all the music and movies I could want and don't have to worry about getting popped by UGA or my home ISP. I use BTGuard, no major problems but I've found that it tends to occasionally disconnect without warning on Windows computers.
Oh my, I'm transferring in from GA State. Their CS program is admittedly not very rigorous...but I've been trying to fill in the gaps on my own. (C++ Primer readings and exercises as of now) I'm still not very confident though so that statement scares me a bit, haha.
May I ask what kind of projects students are expected to finish in 1301/1302? We don't have group programming projects at State until much later so it makes me wonder how you guys organize it all. Git? (Or perhaps something else?)
AJC put up a link to the whole Delloite report when it came out in 2003. Basically it was a ton of little shit like making sure that his wife had a job (most president's wives volunteer when their husbands make 300k+) and not wanting to live in the mansion, etc, etc.
But the big one in my mind which only cemented my hatred for him was his son's law school graduation party. He billed it and received money from some committee which he directly reports to as a party for the whole law school at the mansion. Only he didn't invite the professors his son didn't like and only invited his friends.
He went on to have pretty outrageous bowl parties for tons of people all generously paid for and hardly ever scrutinized. The Report was pretty damning. The book about it has definitely been on my reading list.
