> Worth reading but not worth taking too seriously; it's an example of interpreting facts to justify a pre-drawn conclusion ... a twisted, crazed interpretation in fact.
Gareth Penn’s basic conclusion, which is that the Zodiac crimes were staged, partly to plot the Mt. Diablo Radian—
https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2gsk67
see 36:22-37:12 of the above video—
is in fact backed up by the evidence. And Gareth should know, since he was one of the orchestrators.
It’s the people who believe the consensus view of the case who are interpreting facts to justify a pre-drawn conclusion.
Granted, Gareth’s cryptographic interpretation of ridiculously short strings, which takes up much of the book, is indefensible, but its indefensibility was also intentional, and meant as a red flag for those who were paying attention.
Almost no one was, including the cryptographers.
> What’s the probability that he didn’t lick his own stamps in your opinion? I personally think it’s kinda unlikely because nobody really had any knowledge of DNA evidence to my understanding. Plus it’s just a weird thing to do.
I think the odds are pretty decent, honestly. Lots of people don't like licking stamps and envelopes, and I can remember before these were sticky, at work we had special bottles full of water with a little sponge at the end for dealing with envelopes. I've used them many times, as I didn't like that taste either.
The fact that it was a common enough thing that special devices were made to avoid licking them is significant, I think. I just checked, and you can still buy them on Amazon for about $3.00.
i have never read chaos. https://www.amazon.com/Chaos-Charles-Manson-History-Sixties/dp/0316477559
I think its claim is the cia was involved with the manson murders, through an mk ultra like program. it was a decent hit for a book, he was on joe rogan.

Horan never really tied how this theory he has about christina being in the car with them ties to his cia theory. i think his logic is if the police are covering up this huge detail that there was someone else in the car what else are they covering up?
I had no idea what the circulation of the VTH was back then... so this comes from Tom Voigt, discussing the book "How to Find Zodiac" by Jarett Kobek LINK, which is a book that I have not read:
"The Vallejo newspaper was not "small circulation" unless you consider 75K--100K to be small; it was the main newspaper in the entire area of Martinez, Benicia, Crockett, Vacaville, American Canyon, Fairfield, Rodeo, Pinole, etc." LINK
Nope, that ain't evidence because no official military record = no evidence. Plus, Wikipedia is not a trustable source of information, especially when it comes to war operations.
Honestly I haven't found anything useful on that blog, just a bunch of other unproven and unverified claims. The fact that VPD provided you a negative response is the most hilarious of all, do you really think they are going to release any valuable information regarding an open case to the first Joe who sends them an email from overseas?
>Authorities in Vallejo, California, also hope DNA technology might now lead them to the Zodiac Killer, who killed at least five people in the Bay Area in the late-1960s. Detectives have reportedly sent two letters written by the killer to a crime lab for analysis. The Vallejo Police Department and mayor's office did not return repeated calls for comment.

A first version of the same solution with “miles” instead of “mi far was taken over by Italian authority on 19 March 2019 (<strong>report</strong> in Italian). I had already published it in 2018 on Reddit (post deleted) and <strong>here</strong> on my blog, but it was not well explained.
You mean buyers of the journal (RADIANS & INCHES), since I just SEARCHED his book for 'radian' and he only mentions that word twice, the two instances when it appears in the July 26, 1970 letter.
Frankly, I don't see the similarity between Hewitt's use of 'Radians &#inches", which he clearly doesn't understand, and Alan Moore's use of 'From Hell', which was the return address of a famous letter purportedly sent by Jack the Ripper. If I'm not mistaken, that's the letter that contained a piece of someone's cut-off ear.
By using the title FROM HELL, Alan Moore is evoking the lore of Jack the Ripper in all its yellow-journalistic Victorian splendour.
By calling his "scholarly journal" RADIANS & INCHES, which he makes no attempt to illuminate, Hewitt is telling us he brings absolutely nothing to the table.
By the way, readers interested in Hewitt's shameless attempts to peddle his journal may find this segment of Mike Butterfield's forum, from the Wayback Machine, of interest:

The watch company probably used a solar cross/sun cross to represent time. https://ipfs.io/ipfs/QmXoypizjW3WknFiJnKLwHCnL72vedxjQkDDP1mXWo6uco/I/m/Celtic-style_crossed_circle.svg.png
"The Solar cross is probably the oldest religious symbol in the world, appearing in Asian, American, European, and Indian religious art from the dawn of history. Composed of a equal armed cross within a circle, it represents the solar calendar- the movements of the sun, marked by the solstices. "
It's also the symbol for dali days, which the Lake Herman Road, Blue Rock Springs, Lake Berryessa, and Paul Stine murders all occurred on.

It isn't an exclusive special problem for DNA. That is just special pleading a case for DNA here. The fact is that biology has often been able to undermine steadfast claims in maths when applied in the real world. This is because there has been billions of years of evolving all sorts of complex systems. Which is why claims like DNA isn't random suddenly meet their end at random assortment of the formation of DNA itself by randomized allele pairing. Even the very development biology process of twin embryology will factor in random events. Hence the statistics behind 30 in 1000 in the first place.
The whole history and present scientific investigation of how to segregate closely related siblings has plenty of examples were no headway could have been made without the scientific development. So it was and still is very much a problem where evidence is constrained despite getting an DNA match.
Whatever I give you examples you seem to just move goal posts anyway but here is one.
Here is what you claim doesn't exist.

Maybe it's resolved in 2020 but that's from 2019.
It’s called “Zodiac: The Shocking True Story of the Hunt for the Nation's Most Elusive Serial Killer” and is written by Robert Graysmith, a cartoonist who was working for the San Francisco Chronicle during the crimes. It was one of the first books that compiled most of the information surrounding the case so it has always been very popular and is often one of the reasons people have become interested in the case. It has also garnered criticism because there are many inaccuracies in the book. Amateur sleuths who follow the case call it “the yellow book” because of its strikingly bright yellow color scheme.
Here’s a link to it on Amazon:

That’s very possible. No, this woman is a university professor near me. She’s written a number of true crime books but this one is an interesting exploration of Rader’s fantasy world. Definitely worth reading...

If this subject is of that much interest to you, this is a good place to start. I’m not going to argue further. Believe what you want to believe.
Zodiac: The Shocking True Story of the Hunt for the Nation's Most Elusive Serial Killer https://www.amazon.ca/dp/0425212181/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_NJiLFb14HJVJ5 I strongly suggest this one. It’s the first one Robert Graysmith did compiling more first hand information than I’ve found in one place. Keep in mind departments were keeping info from eachother, he touched base and got some from most. Anyway, you won’t be able to put it down and I personally believe Leigh Allen is a strong candidate so zodiac unmasked might be good to read after.
There is in fact something called line and dot code. It's usually held against an alphabet though. Lines and dots in the above format more likely relate to numbers for a potential transposition such as 6,2,3,1,6 which refers to a 5 letter key at the beginning of a transposition. You cropped out the all the horizontal lines belong the word thing though.
I read Laffins entire book last night in 1 sitting. Codes and Secret Ciphers throughout the ages. It's a short book but offers a lot of insights to Zodiac's introduction to ciphers. With every page I could see similarities of Zodiac's methodologies. I have no doubt that Zodiac read Laffins 1967 paperback book.
If you're into ciphers and Zodiac it's a must own book. Buy it on Amazon digital. I have a physical paperback. You'll notice a lot of references that Zodiac actually used in his ciphers.
Also after reading Laffins book I think that the "Imperial Wizard in deep real estate" ad in the newspaper was not a message but a cipher sent to Zodiac.
The first Hewitt book is possibly the most accurate retelling of the case with a wealth of detail.
I'd suggest the two books of the trilogy, that has been written by Mark Hewitt. They are the most detailed books about the case, that I've read so far (A little bit dry, but you really get most of the information there is) - The third book is unfortunately Hewitts pet theory, that the unabomber Ted Kaczynski is the Zodiac, haven't read that so far, but I give him credit for his first two books.
If you got those, I'd recommend 'Americans Jack The Ripper' by Soren Korsgaard. Don't you start with Horans blackpill book. It will only influence your perception about the case, read it later.
And maybe more importantly, don't read anything from Robert Graysmith. That guy is nothing but a fabulist.
Apologies. I’ve over stepped. I will endeavor to look into it more. Better to describe my current stance as ‘jury’s still out’.
This book’s great — https://www.amazon.com/Riverman-Bundy-Green-River-Killer-ebook/dp/B003N3TUCK
Start reading this book. It’s not perfect but it’s fantastically divergent —

Let’s drop the Schizophrenia argument. I don’t agree with you and one hyper link never made a summer thus.
Yeah, cut to the chase. Otherwise the "Zodia Myth Busters & co" will waste years of your time. The issue is this: "Zodiac" signed his real name on a 1970 Halloween card sent to SFPD. See this https://youtu.be/cQj6KPlK7Nk then for more info see this https://www.amazon.com/Most-Evil-Presenting-Investigation-Decryption/dp/1942600453/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1442495210&sr=8-1&keywords=most+evil+II
Easily the best Zodiac book I ever read- This Is the Zodiac Speaking by Michael Kelleher and David Van Nuys. Kind of expensive because it's out of print but maybe you can find a copy at the library.
