Ben Middleton is Tom Middleton's(Global Communication, etc.) brother. They're long time friends. I would say this is what the SAW's and other early stuff was mainly produced with. It's a really interesting post if you want an insight into early AFX.
Some not-very-prolific WATMM user called 'alcyonidae' posted a link to an eight-minute mp3 of the video soundtrack here: http://forum.watmm.com/topic/85636-richard-d-james-soundcloud-a-gift-to-the-fans/page-401
A swift google of his username leads to this
I agree but I must point out most of what the drummer is playing isn't something Aphex Twin created, but sampled. The main drum line throughout Fenix Funk 5 is the first few seconds of a funk song.

You've probably heard the Aphex remixes (QQT Mix and TTQ Mix), but if you haven't, look them up. Here's the original We Have Arrived by Mescalinum United.
You'll find a couple other harder techno tracks along with those remixes on Classics.
Discogs is probably your best bet. Pretty much everything he has ever made is on there to buy, and there are sellers all over the world so you should be able to find one near you.
Thanks for keeping this up to date. The only thing I think you've missed in your 13/01/16 update is the fact that RDJ replaced "1 lmt" with a longer version. BTW, the Google spreadsheet has a note stating the longer version is available here: http://www.filedropper.com/179b1lmtb
I found this thread on the WATMM forums about how he made SAWII but it's not very comprehensive, purely opinion based and only two pages long. Someone mentions a Yahama CS-5 and another mentions an Oberheim Matrix 12, along with talk about Roland synths. Trouble is, even with a list of equipment, it's difficult to tell as we know Richard lovingly fucks will almost all of his gear.
For SAW, I did find this page which lists some gear used, including (but not limited to) a Casio FZ-10M, a broken DX-100, an SH-101 and an Atari 520ST. Whether or not these were modified I don't know.
Idk m8, there's a few recordings of Rich's live sets before 2007 where he plays these tracks. There's a couple in this 2005 set in austria and even vibert played minipops in his 07 manchester set.
As far as I know, all official non-European versions have extra trax. There's some copies of the Canadian version available on discogs:

You can purchase the basic edition of Fl Studio for $99, and using that with free plugins and samples you can get online will give you pretty much everything you need. It would be pretty easy for me to whip out something that sounds just like SAW I with that set up and you could be doing that in not much time also.
Ha, yes! I think you're correct! "update returns firebase.Promise containing void"... there can never be an returned "authenticated" object, and there can never be an authenticated.authenticate()
function: either they are trolling us, devs didn't test it, or there's some secret firebase shenanigans going on.
[edit: oh, i just saw you wrote exactly that a day ago ;) ]
I'm looking for it. I thought I found it here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/playerpro/files/PlayerPRO%20Player/
but when I opened it my mac told me it was "damaged" and I "should move it to the trash."
Anyone else looking for it?
Yeah... Ive had this idea for years but its super hard to find someone who will custom print on these booby pads. It was a miracle I found it in the first place, it had no reviews and the listing became unavailable right after I ordered. Maybe check out dhgate or ebay? Good luck, it only took me like 3 years 😅 I wish I ordered more

If you change your SC account username, your account stays the same but your profile link changes to your new account name. It's highly likely that person commented with their old profile. Here's Richard's profile on the 28th of Jan when he started uploading. THat comment is not there, and it was made on the 23rd of january. I'll try and see wha that person's old account name was from the archived diskhat comments.
1:27:38 is just Squarepusher, Aphex wasn't involved.
You can hear that track in Squarepusher's 2009 show at Warp20 at the 1hr8min mark in this mix:
https://www.mixcloud.com/keyfumbler/squarepusher-2009-warp20-archive-material-set-sheffield/
Also on Youtube at 4:18 in this clip:

Tom played lots of other unreleased stuff from his archive in this set too
oh are we suggesting non aphex music here? here's my suggestion. a perfect podcast with the best of the best from BoC and Autechre, very well mxed together. https://www.mixcloud.com/freddhyphen/baec/ And the good thing is: there's a link to a download! once it gets going there's a good amount of chill beats.
Yeah. I mean, everyone is welcome, of course; we all share a common interest, but since everyone has a voice, well... I prefer best quality voices.
May I suggest to you, I've been frequenting Rate your music (you probably already know it) which is not dedicated to Aphex Twin (or any artist specifically), but has some of the most useful forum threads I've encountered about music in general.
Actually just found a couple of tracks that don't appear on Caustic Window Compilation or LP!
Cat 009 III released on "Energy 93"
Joyrex J9 ii released on "Ambient Senses - The Vision"
Need to track these down now!
EDIT: cat 009 III is just "The Garden Of Linmiri" from Joyrex J9 with a different title. :-(
Also Joyrex J9 ii seems to also be a renamed track. Bah.
It's been around a LONG time. It's one of the first Aphex fansistes I can remember visiting in the 90's. Another one was WATMM, which eventually became... what it is now. You could check archive.org to see just how long Hyperreal has been around. The site pre-dates the ease of posting entire mp3's online - it used to take hours to create an mp3.
I believe the name came from a track by The Shamen, which I first heard in the 90's on the Wasted: The Best of Volume compilation - where I also got my first taste of Underworld.
It's not my analysis, but I agree that the data may not be entirely accurate. I put this out here so people can draw their own conclusions. To me, it wasn't a ranking of best to worst artist or something like that. Eclectic range means nothing if an artist isn't consistently on top of their game. It's really just an exercise to visually represent a dataset (and exposes its flaws). It's mostly fascinating to me with the machine learning used to identify musical qualities has largely been a black box. Spotify uses a "data alchemist" and Pandora uses the Music Genome. I suspect there are a lot of nuances that can't be captured with the attributes in their system: in your Squarepusher example, I'm not sure if there are any attributes that could identify the genre switching within a single track. And more interestingly, these are subjective values (such as emotion) typed presumably by a machine... which I think is where it's most fascinating. Artists like Aphex Twin and many long before him have evoked powerful emotional responses through machines, but machines are still far from sophisticated enough to translate those emotions, at least accurately. Powerful music means different things for different people. I'm always keeping my ears open for discovery and so these tools are interesting to me (this was all worked backwards from visiting Every Noise at Once, which is a data visualization of what drives Spotify's related artist search... here is a specific examination of one genre for example
I tried to time the loop to have a nice cadence to it. You didn't say how long so I looped it 4 times. Hoping you can wrap the procession up in under 8.5 minutes haha ;]
If you feel so inclined, shoot me a DM and I'll provide you a paypal / venmo for a tip.
Thanks and congrats.
Download Virtual DJ for free and try adjusting the BPM without the keylock enabled. There will be little to no distortion. But if you lock the key, aka pitch, and adjust it the sound warp will be way more distorted.
Nnnnnnnope. BUT it does have an alternate track order and the first 2 records are 45's. There is a Cock/54 Cymru Beats promo that's alternate takes. I have a copy, but mine is slightly warped and the spin hole on most is slightly too big. It's a 45 so it's kinda hard to play with those issues.
Come To Daddy was originally released as a 4 track single featuring Come To Daddy Pappy Mix, Flim, Come To Daddy Little Lord Faulteroy Mix and Bucephelus Bouncing Ball on CD and 12" vinyl. They also released this which is the remix EP on CD only.
Then they released it all together as an 8 track EP on CD.
I was sure that the 8 track EP was released later but Discogs says they were all released on the same date.
EDIT: Actually it was released on vinyl but only in a limited run promo version that I really, really want!
If this is all that we're waiting for then it's all been a bit underwhelming
Amazon Japan is showing release dates of July 7th for CD versions of SAW2 and Drukqs - https://www.amazon.co.jp/Selected-Ambient-Works-%E5%B8%AF%E8%A7%A3%E8%AA%AC-BRC554/dp/B072M2B3M8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1498679708&sr=8-3&keywords=aphex+twin
