This is actually the right answer. I have no idea about Mac ecosystems but if they have stopped updates, and I am assuming security updates too, updating to Linux is a really clever thing to do, for anyone who doesn't know Mac is based off of Unix, and Linux OSs are based off of Unix as well, very similar.
With Linux you'll get the latest security updates and you can even have it look very similar, if you like the Mac OS look check out ElementaryOS. https://elementary.io/
Android has had 3D Touch (aka pressure sensitive touch events) since API level 5 that shipped with Eclair / Android 2.0 in Nov 2009: https://developer.android.com/reference/android/view/MotionEvent.html#getPressure()
The new devices saying "We're launching our competitor to 3D touch!" are literally just marketing.
I very very highly encourage you to not believe me and install something like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.casual_dev.forcetouch on the oldest Android device you have. It'll work.
Apple is hemorrhaging users left and right as it's so easy to install Windows on a Mac.
With Windows long support cycles compared to OS X's painful annual upgrades, plus Windows has all the games and tons of software. It's no wonder so many people realize that shortly after buying a Mac, they made a serious mistake.
It doesn't help that Apple can't seem to fix their wifi issues despite several updates.
Windows 10 is going to deal OS X a serious blow, just like Windows 7 did. Win 8/8.1 was a shot in the arm for Apple, they managed to get their market share up a bit since.
It's good to get off that trash heap of Stockholm Syndrome Effect that is the pitiful excuse for a platform. OS X has gone into the toilet since 10.7 and most former Mac users like myself admit to that.
The object with Apple switching processors again (first it was PPC to Intel) is to grow market share as the Mac (OS X + Apple hardware) is dying. So thus by locking their binaries into their processor family, their users won't be as easy to escape the walled prison.
It's the last ditch effort of a dying platform. Should have taken the Mac out to pasture a long time ago.
Dam you Apple for stringing us along all these years.
If only someone knew how to create a phone that could withstand pressure to make it more functional!
If it's running iOS 8, it's full of bugs.
Perhaps if you ask on /r/applehelp you will get some helpful assistance.
We here don't like Apple very much or don't use it. ;P
Apple should take the Macintosh out into the back yard and shoot it.
He said s8 not s6, someone should teach you how to read. And btw , I know people with note 5 , S7 and note 8 , their batteries got improved a lot. So don't judge other phones just because you have a problem with an older phone. I have note 3 , 4 years old. Wanna see my SOT?.here. So shh already.
I am lucky enough not to have a Win8 machine. I know there's a setting to disable it though hidden several menus deep so I just looked up instructions for how to do it,
"If I was still alive, I would milk the iPhone for all it's worth - and get busy on the next great thing. The smartphone wars are over. Done. Google won a long time ago."
Two time loser, talk about FUCKING STUPID.
A phone that has access to an optional 2+ TERRAbytes of storage is worth a hell of a lot more than one that only has access to a 1/4th of that( for 4x the price)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.launcher
That’s a link to the launcher, install it on a skin heavy android device and see what happens.
Here’s google ranting on it
Although, the OS thing is right. If you can, try it out first. The UI isn't for everyone, and not all the Samsung's have headset jacks.
You know about The GSMArena Phone Finder yes? The relevant search is for all phones $350 USD or less with Android 10 and headset jacks (stuck to major brands because it won't display more than 70 phones lol). You can refine the search as you'd like by networks, price, etc
I have an IPhone and an Android(P30 Pro) and don’t have the same issue. I’m assuming you are talking about this but this can be toggled off:
http://osxdaily.com/2016/11/29/use-low-quality-image-mode-iphone-messages/
What about with ProtonVPN business account with the latest update of "Stealth Mode" and 2FAS set for everything on my account with that service and everything on my phone is so securely locked and no 3rd party apps considering I don't use my phone games and bullshit
>This time my google, Uber, Amazon, etc. were also hacked
If all these accounts are getting hacked it sounds to me that you're reusing passwords and those passwords ended up in a breach. The hackers are trying your login details on as many accounts as they can and it seems they're getting in.
Check out https://haveibeenpwned.com/ to see what breaches you're in and stop reusing passwords.
Get some of these:
They help out with all wall warts.
I can name one that i can't live without. PowerAmp Equalizer it is just so nice to have the ability to fine tune audio in basically any app.
Yeah iPhone has it's own set of music players with built in equalizers, but those only work within the app itself and offers no help when using apps such as YouTube.
You don't have to take a bite of a pile side of the road, to know that it is a pile of shit. Similarly i can look stuff online to see that i would get nothing by getting one of those Mac computers, even though i would not lose much either. Except the proper option to play games.
But as for iPhone or iPad, heck the whole iOS lineup is just so locked down and full of unnecessary roadblocks herding me to do stuff the way they want me to do. Instead of getting to modify and choose the way that suits me and my habits the best. I have also looked at iPhones of my friends and those have felt literally like iOS is fighting against me at every corner.
Yeah maybe I could grow to get used to it eventually, but why would I do that when even the cheapest 100€ Android phone would most likely fit me better than the latest and greatest iPhone at 1500-2000€.
Good example of things that would make iOS impossible for me to use is the fact that software like PowerAmp Equalizer would be impossible to be made in ios.
Yeah i could get 3rd party music player that had equalizer build in, but that would not help with things like Spotify or even YouTube now would it? No i much rather have system wide equalizer that tunes my music playing experience to my liking in every app instead of only select few that may or may not have it.
Yeah, you would assume $1k is enough to buy a complete product. The chargers in the box of iPhones have always been shit though. The charger that was in the box was only 5w, when the phones could charge twice as fast.
This is my favorite charger for the iPhone: https://www.amazon.com/Charger-Anker-Adapter-PowerPort-iPhone/dp/B07WRKXQ8W
Couldn’t find one with the exact same specs but this is pretty close. It’s slightly slower, however it is $2000 cheaper, has a 144hz refresh as opposed to 120hz, and has a slightly larger display. Apple’s base laptops are the best price for their value, however, as you upgrade, the price becomes more and more expensive and not worth it by price since the upgrades are so expensive.
No my friend this is incorrect. iPhone now has automatic downloads exclusively for iOS software which you cannot stop unless you fill your phone up leaving no room for the update, don't connect to wifi while charging, or block the hosts. Please google this as it's a very common issue people are having. A more 'secure and stable' version is not what they are pushing for our benefit; they are strictly trying to outlaw jail breaking for the community and as of 3.1 they have just about ended the war between JB and legit iOS. The JB teams are having trouble exploiting 2.1 never mind 10.3x. My problem still remains; they are using my bandwidth without my permission, and this should not be allowed considering the price tag for this device. If you want some more proof after Reading This, I will take progressive screenshots with time stamp and confirm I have deleted the update, and I bet you it will automatically download as long as it's connected to WIFI while charging overnight. It's usually just about 800MB and this is ridiculous they can choose to use my WIFI without my permission to push an update I don't want/need. PS. Yes all of my 'Automatic Updates' settings are confirmed OFF.. yet magically 10.3.1 is back in my 'Manage Storage' after I deleted.

There's also a reddit link in the article. Which I've mirrored here
I see now. Rufus is just as good, but has a far less friendly UI, which is why I fell away from recommending it. I had no idea that etcher couldn't support a Windows image. If you have access to any windows 7+ system, use Rufus, because the exe doesn't require an installation.
Check Kimovil for Android 10+ with Play Store: https://www.kimovil.com/en/tablets/f_doba+slug.android,f_min_dobr+value.17,fe_software-google-services
Basically Galaxy Tab S7(+) / A7 / S6 Lite. And some holdout Chine brands like Chuwi, Aldocube, Teclast.
Be sure to note that the new A14 iPad has basically 2x the single core performance. Which is the performance you will notice more in terms of interactivity. It will also be supported with the most recent OS for the next 5+ years. While an Android 10 tablet might get Android 11, and that's usually it.
Yes, the iPhone 5S is still fine. Gets long in the tooth, but say netbook style laptop are about as fast as that phone. And it's faster than 70% of the long-tail of Android devices.
I mean, the port on the iPhone isn't that useful to start with. It's not like on Android where it can be used to control the device via adb or transfer files both ways. The lightning port is basically just there for power and audio, might as well get rid of it. Same reason why you don't have USB on this phone.
Even with the release of the note 10, I'd stick with the 9, especially since the headphone jack was removed from the base model. Also a renewed note 9 is only $600.00 CAD on amazon.
FiiO M3 or FiiO X1. But you'll also need to buy a microSD card for it. M3 sells for $49, X1 sells for $99.
No bullsht restrictions with what formats it can play - MP3, AAC, Vorbis, FLAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF all work on it no problem. You can connect it up to your computer and sync songs using Windows Media Player very easily.
