I had the same issue a few months ago, I have over 3,000 mp3 songs with variable bitrate. I just imported all those songs in SPOTIFY, made a playlist of those songs and used a site soundiiz.com to export those songs to TIDAL then ripped the songs. I found over 2500 songs with highest possible quality, the rest of the songs were not found/improperly tagged so I had to use SHAZAM to first identify and then download through the above method.
Now if there is a way to automate the last 500 songs then I would definitely love to hear that.
there is a 5.1 audio file roaming the internet of https://www.amazon.com/Bela-Fleck-Bluegrass-Sessions-DVD-Audio/dp/B0000560XH
you can also get the DVD but not many enjoy audio dvd's these days. either way, its an absolute masterpiece in my opinion. every musician has a speaker practically and its heaven sitting in the middle of all that.
I think the opening track of Flim and the BB’s “Trycycle” has incredible dynamic range. Be careful, the drum hit is WAY over the top of the piano intro.
I have had success with 7000 grit sandpaper and a very flat surface, like a sheet of glass. Then buff it with a finish or buffing pad (Blue) and plastic polish. I have restored two CDs of mine that would not rip with EAC to getting them to rip without errors. It does take some time but in my case it was worth the effort for the CDs that were scratched.
Following a recent recommendation from this sub:
It's really fun music with jaw-dropping dynamics and overall sound quality.
Has anyone else here experienced good and bad rips of the same album in the same bit rate? I've downloaded the same albums from two different sources, both flac but the quality seemed wildly different. Just recently I got a copy of Colour To The Moon by Allan Taylor and it sounded a bit shitty, like the mid-bass was muddy and the top end seemed pretty harsh. Downloaded it from a different source and it sounded much better. Both copies were flac, both were a similar size but there were noticeable differences in both sound and the waveform produced in Foobar. I checked both in Lossless Audio Checker and both came up clean of upsampling or upscaling.
Bada-bing. You can pull it straight from the CD in lossless.
Ok I’m kind of excited about this solution! Given your budget I found a streamer with a CD player built-in. It’s also small so it’ll keep a low profile since you didn’t want anything too big. It actually has amplification (60 watts per channel) but you would simply use the RCA output to connect to your active speakers. The great thing is if you ever change speakers you now would have options for passive speakers in the future. It has an analog input so you can connect you turntable directly into it if it already has the phone (preamp)stage as you mentioned. It has Bluetooth and WiFi. You can use airplay if you have apple products. I honestly recommend getting like an old iPhone or iPod because AirPlay is legit since it doesn’t compress the audio (I do this with my amplifier, I bought a cheap iPad and stream Tidal). Otherwise it has some built-in stations like Pandora and Spotify. Also has a subwoofer output if you want to add one.
It’s on Amazon though. I really hope you like this one because I think it checks all the boxes.
It’s called: Marantz M-CR612 Network CD Receiver (2019 Model)

Please tell me they ship to Israel.
Off topic: Thank you Apollo App. I had written this whole comment and my iPad got funky and closed all apps... and Apollo automatically saved my draft. Phew.
nick cave alone - piano and vocals
not heard this but it is supposed to be very good
My favorite soundtrack of all time is The Lord of the Rings score by Howard Shore. The Complete Recordings versions are being reissued this year. The Fellowship of the Ring is currently available at Amazon and you can preorder The Two Towers set here.
More recently, I've been listening to the soundtrack from The Man from U.N.C.L.E. It has a lot of very fun songs. If you haven't seen the movie, I highly recommend it.
Not sure what TPB is I recommend this album:
Let me know what you think!
You guys should check out his band Earthbound Papas. I imported his album Octave Theory on Amazon. I really enjoyed this album, and would love to see them live if possible.

I recommend these and beating your baby brother for throwing your shit into the toilet
Looks like there are a few game audio rips for GTA Liberty City Stories floating around the internet. You might be able to find a torrent for one that is still active. In case you didn't see it during your search for the track, A Dark March is used in GTA for the main theme and credits.
That said, this version on Amazon is probably the best quality I've come across personally so far: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PO5O9HQ
Of course, it's only Mp3. Some of the game rips are WAV though, but I doubt they actually put uncompressed music on the game disk (they would usually super-compress the music to save space).
