I have an idea to help gauge the size of the purported Bigfoot in this video. Should give us a reasonably accurate estimate of its height IF it's a real figure and not CGI:
In the foreground just left of center is a rectangular salt block that was put out to attract deer. I use the same 50 lb salt blocks for my horses.
The one in the video is laying down flat so it's a long rectangle. I can kinda see the indented end with circular center. They are 10.7" X 8.7" X 8.7"
They look like this: https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/champions-choice-trace-mineral-salt-block-50-lb-2516586?store=1944&cm_mmc=feed
The only other product I know of with a similarly shaped end is a particular 25 lb sweet lick made for attracting Deer. It's smaller, measuring 8.25"L x 7.5"W x 6"H.
They look like this (see photo #3): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0887NV1GN/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glc_fabc_B57R8WDNR7R115VXXAT5
So there's a strong possibility that the salt block is either 8.7"High or 6"High. Someone should be able to work out an estimate of the shadowy critter's size...
Thanks guys, I gotta go feed my horses. :)

Yep here is a place that sells it.
Just a note about author, John Carlova.
An interesting fellow who embraced the far out, and otherworldly, Argosy sort of stories. He was also the author of a paperback named:
by Mary (Editor); George M. Kelley; Bertha Newhoff; Fred Archer; John Harden; Guy Hedlund; Frank M. Mitchell Adams; Paul Steiner; Alson J. Smith; John Carlova; Donald Keyhoe; Marjorie F. Thole; W Fuller | Jan 1, 1956
The interesting thing about the article is that is was published in 1955, way before the internet and instant information was even thought of. If you read the article, read it thoroughly, and consider what was happening in Malaysia in 1955 (Major communist insurgency) Take it with a grain of salt.
I went through and rescanned recent bfro reports, out of 22 reports I re-read, only two mentioned any sort of bad smell. More claimed that rocks were thrown, considerably more in fact.
re: the BFF. In my experience, the BFF has extremely limited utility. Personal messaging is useful but the overall tenor of the forum is fairly poisonous. Again, in my experience.
There are some folks attempting to collate experiences but I don't know if I would characterize the results as incredible. Unless those doing the collecting are taking reports firsthand the reliability of the reports are completely unknown. By this I mean, I could go online and copy paste reports all day and add that info to a spreadsheet but what would that give me in the end. I could not be certain that some reports weren't duplicated on multiple websites, I would know nothing about the quality of the original collector of the information, I would known little to nothing about the person who made the original report. There might be some value to the results but it really seems like it would be hard to separate the good from the bad and thus the results would inevitably have "noise" from false reports.
I've gotten completely off topic, but I want to end by reminding you that there is a reason the phrase "garbage in - garbage out" exists. Anytime someone attempts to run a meta-analysis/meta-study things get very, very complicated. There are loads of articles describing the strengths and weakness of meta-analysis but here's one. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/5623695_Primer_Strengths_and_weaknesses_of_meta-analysis
Here are some longer skeptical discussions on the urban myth of giants and the bad archeology surrounding it.

I was thinking that since it's winter here and sometimes I actually have to put on a jacket when it's not 70° out during the day, that these breaks could be the result of snowfall. Alas, the first time the mercury will drop below freezing this year will be tonight.

Sasquatch: North America's Enduring Mystery by Rupert Matthews
Mitchel Townsend was on Coast2Coast last night discussing a research paper he's involved with.
True. Consider that the original stories of sasquatch came from the Coast Salish/Smaylilh First Nations People; they described sasquatch as another tribe of wild people who had dwellings, fire, weapons, clothing and (I believe) domesticated animals. https://www.academia.edu/738021/Smaylilh_or_Wild_People_Archaeology
Taken from the wiki on sasquatch:
Local stories were compiled by Indian Agent J. W. Burns in a series of Canadian newspaper articles in the 1920s recounting stories told to him by the Sts'Ailes people of Chehalis and others. The Sts'Ailes maintain, as do other indigenous peoples of the region, that the Sasquatch are very real and take great umbrage when it is suggested that they are legendary. According to Sts'Ailes eyewitness accounts, the Sasquatch prefer to avoid white men, and speak the Lillooet language of the people at Port Douglas, British Columbia at the head of Harrison Lake.[22][23] It was Burns who first borrowed the term Sasquatch from the Halkomelem sásq'ets (IPA: [ˈsæsqʼəts])[3] and used it in his articles to describe a hypothetical single type of creature reflected in the stories.[12][18][24]
For short distances the average is much higher: http://www.ask.com/health/average-human-running-speed-7f0ef0953669fa1
Given that the suspected hoaxer was a college age man, he likely would be able to run faster than the average. Even in a baggy costume, we could probably cover 30 feet in 2 to 3 seconds.
Of course, let's attack the source, and not the arguments. I find no significant complaints registered generally about Greg Long's work. Does that mean it is perfect? No, I cannot offer that, gauging public reaction is always difficult, and certainly the book is not and will never be a best seller, if Amazon is any guide, as of today (23 July 2020) A used copy (new it was $25.99) is listed at an incredible $312.00! Reviews number 67, and average at 3 1/2 stars. With 57% at 5 Star, 4% at 4 Star, 10% at 3 star, and 20% for 1 and two stars (together)
Once again, Amazon reviews are not the end all tell all, but unless you have some other info, I would say it is a fair view of the book from readers.
The Book is listed here if anyone wants to see the review data:

Or just check the BFRO sightings database and use that to find a hotspot for sightings near you (there's a google earth layer that's helpful for that too, they don't host it anymore but I can give it to you via google drive if you want). Go explore the woods, look for structures, follow the structures, ignore the skeptics regarding structures.
Imo you don't always need to be in the vast wilderness to find signs. Depending on the type of area you live, if there are pockets of woods and/or corridors that can be traveled they may be closer than you realize. I found this an interesting read. https://www.amazon.com/dp/154696536X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_E9E41C83MX7NCHP5SW72
Yet another retelling of a story by a second or third person. . .Unnamed person for the original story, or where it happened. A good example of how such evidence is questionable at best.
Sure it is a great story, but what does it prove? We don't even know who Scary true tales is, much less that the story is anything but a folk tale.
Speaking of folk tales. Are any of you familure with the Foxfire books? A series of books which were put together in the 1970's for the purpose of documenting some of the ways of Appalachian people. Everything from how to make a log cabin, and cooking with a Dutch oven to stories of these people. Volume 2, has some traditional ghost and similar stories. They are available on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/Foxfire-Book-Collection-Books-Brand/dp/B01HUQY2TQ/
Funny thing, you would think that people who embraced such a way of living, literally hundreds of years old, would have encountered Sasquatch/Bigfoot. .After all, according to BFRO, Tennessee has 102 sightings, Virginia 81, West Virginia 104. You would expect that someone historically would have reported them. But not a single mention in the ghost stories of Foxfire.
But even those animals which haven't been discovered were a part of known branches. Here is a helpful diagram from a CSK post 9 months ago. https://classconnection.s3.amazonaws.com/749/flashcards/1369749/jpg/phylogeny-142DACCB23D6A5FF9A9.jpg
Scientists can look at the genes of the known animals of a branch and have a good idea of what is possible genetically of any members of that branch.
There is no need for a centuries old hoax. The claim that "it's either true" or "it's centuries old hoax" is a false choice.
All cultures tell stories and always have. Why humans tell stories is hugely interesting and there are a ton of resources online about this very topic. There's also a very good book called The Story Telling Animal. https://www.amazon.com/dp/0547391404/?tag=thneyo0f-20. It's available on amazon for less than $3 used.

Melba released her paper in her online "journal" Winter 2013 -Special Issue 2-13- 2013
http://www.denovojournal.com/denovo_004.htm
And she started publishing her bigfoot porn in the same year, 2013.
https://www.amazon.es/Mystic-Forest-Wishes-Melba-Ketchum/dp/0991121899
Let me quote from the amazon page:
Dr. Melba S. Ketchum moved to a small rural town in a forested area of Texas after graduating from Texas A&M University with a doctorate in veterinary medicine. She practiced as a veterinarian for several years before entering the field of genetics and becoming the director of a large laboratory. Melba continues to work in the field of genetics and lives in an area where there are frequent sightings of the Forest People reported, making her privy to the local lore surrounding them. This prompted her to write the first installment of the Mystic Forest saga in 2013.
Far from being written "after her career had been savaged", the first book was published the same fucking year.
Did you not check this? Did you think I wouldn't double check your (baseless) claim?

You can watch episode 13 of season 2 of The Proof Is Out There. The History Channel gathered some experts to analyze the film and they explain how they got such a detailed video from the old tape. Here's the torrent.
Apes Among Us from the North American Wood Ape Conservancy. They average only one or two episodes a year lately, but it's worth going back and listening to past episodes.

Hi all! I'm not sure if this is allowed or not, so please remove if it's not. I just launched a book series about a fictional reporter who goes out and investigates the world of the paranormal and cryptids. It's super fun and I thought you all would get a kick out of it. The first book is about Bigfoot in Washington State.
The book description is:
What happens when video footage of Bigfoot is undeniably captured on a home security system?
Jay Larken, professional crime journalist from Seattle, is a gung-ho believer in the paranormal who will risk everything to get the truth.
One quiet morning, Jay is sent pictures of a big hairy creature from his usual mysterious informant. Now armed with clues, he embarks on an adventure into a nearby mountain town, meeting with both skeptics and believers, running into local law enforcement, tracking down his informant and eventually setting off into the wilderness, in order to prove Bigfoot truly exists!
Extraordinary Events is a fast paced book series featuring the adventures of Jay Larken and the world of the paranormal, unexplained, monsters and occult. Jay's mission is to show the world that extraordinary things are out there and real.
Hey, I'm releasing a fun book about Bigfoot next week. Not sure is you're still looking for books but you might like it! It's the first book in a series of novellas starring a reporter who investigates the paranormal and spooky. Let me know if you like it!
I haven’t posted here but I love the page;thanks for this post.

He did an interesting interview on Sasquatch Tracks (episode 25) which is likely the best way to get an introduction to his work.
Dr. Bindernagel made a strong [case](https://www.amazon.com/Discovery-Sasquatch-John-Bindernagel/dp/0968288715) that Bigfoot *has* been discovered. It's just that some of us don't want to admit it.
In 2004, author Greg Long thought he'd cracked the case and wrote "The Making of Bigfoot: The Inside Story", featuring Bob Heironimus and his story.
The book is hard to find and I don't have a copy of it, but I found this review by Roger Knights on Amazon to be quite helpful. It wasn't Bob in a suit.

They also could've been wearing those Vibram Fivefingers shoes(https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LZPICKX/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_5XPP56D0C2J297F4S4ZQ). They have individual toes, so they leave footprints indistinguishable from barefoot prints.
They're made for more "natural" running; lots of people have them.
Bear tracks and human tracks are the most common examples of mistaken identity. Different animals stepping in each other’s tracks can create confusing impressions. Rain or snow can also alter the size and shape of a track. If you don’t mind me asking, I’m curious to know if you think you found an entire trackway, or just one or two impressions.
If you want to learn more about how to identify bigfoot tracks, I recommend you check this out. It’s a pretty good reference when you’re out in the woods. There might also be classes in your area that teach you how to find and identify animal tracks. Parks or universities sometimes offer those.
> the discovery of another living homo would surely be worth some nobel prize.
Tell it to Jeff Meldrum. See how hard he laughs. The internal politics of the scientific community is worse than a high-school popularity contest. The planetary status of Pluto is another great example.

Regarding the DNA, remember than chimp DNA is 98 % the same as human DNA. It's the differences that make the difference, if you know what I mean.
I actually just read a book about this, and there are new details to the story that make the bigfoot idea a lot less credible, and it very logically explains what purpose the special forces served during the search for Dennis Martin. It also brings up some very interesting questions about the FBI’s role in all this. The book is short, easy to read, and sheds new light on this story. I highly recommend it.
However, I’ll give you the rundown. Suffice it to say, the figure seen by Harold Key wasn’t a wild man. It wasn’t a man covered in long hair or animal furs. It was just a normal, albeit unkempt-looking, person in normal clothing. He didn’t see a child with the person either. It seems likely that the newspapers got Key’s wording wrong, and that probably contributed to the misunderstanding. However, Key makes it clear that he didn’t see anything that could be construed as a bigfoot.
Have you seen Sasquatch: Legend Meets Science? It’s not digitally available. I’m pretty certain it’s something you can only get on DVD.
Im not going out to mess with people. I just didnt know if there was a sub cult of people going out doing this like the crop circles or not.

https://castbox.fm/vb/442649699 This is Sasquatch Tracks, they take a long time to get to content but at the 1 hour 11 minute mark the guy talks about finding hair fibers that are clear. He poses that they could be for camouflage.
This was my arc w/bigfoot as well.
I'm in my 50's and have been aware of BF (as a subject) since the 70's. I like the Fortean and have been always curious, but I have no personal encounters despite decades of camping and backpacking.
The book that changed my mind on this was David Paulides' first book, The Hoopa Project: Bigfoot Encounters in California. It is a solid and (to me) very convincing collection of interviews with normal folks in the Hoopa community in Happy Valley, California, who described their individual encounters with Sasquatch. He later facilitated followup interviews which included a police sketch artist, and this artist created high quality, "police bulletin"-style sketches each of the beings described. My description doesn't do the book justice. Paulides interviewed a lot of people for this book, and the consistency of those interviews makes a very compelling case for these creatures existing, imho.
I think she mentions it or gets VERY close in a couple of coast to coast interviews. Here's the link to "the eye" they have a huge collection of archived C2C shows(https://the-eye.eu/public/Radio/). You can set the parameters so you can see the names of the guests/topics and the shows are sorted by date so if you recall the years just before/during the release of her study you might find it rather easily.

I would say yes.
However people have different definitions of the word dimension.
‘Beckjord believed that Bigfoot and similar cryptids may be “inter-dimensional” beings that can occasionally take physical form for brief periods of time, but that, like the famed Cheshire cat, can “fade out” and pass through “wormholes”, possibly to other dimensions or parallel universes. He reported having had one of the creatures speak to him using telepathy, communicating the words “We’re here, but we’re not real, like what you think is real”. Beckjord claimed that such entities may be able to actually disappear into thin air, or even shapeshift.

>The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went in to the daughters of humans, who bore children to them. These were the heroes that were of old, warriors of renown.
>
>Genesis 6:4
There's nothing there about the Nephilim being either supernatural or cursed, in fact, the Nephilim are explicitly described as the heroes of past ages here, and and in the Book of Numbers, they're described as large people living in the land of Canaan.
That said, your man for the Nephilim-Bigfoot beliefs connection is Scott Carpenter.
Just as a PSA, I can't say I agree with much of anything that Scott says or believes, but he does seem earnest in his beliefs. He's very religious.

Nick Redfern had a look at this, and wrote an entertaining book about it: Man Monkey
No spoilers, but he did explore a few other ideas as, yes, a giant hominid population here is vanishingly unlikely and as daft as a Fraggle.
I don't doubt giants lived in various parts of the world including North America. Although bigfoot is described as a gorilla looking biped, but there are also other reports of them looking quite human aswell. But giants ( human giants ) skeletons were indeed recorded and seemed to have been covered up greatly.
Erik Liefson may have had accounts of bigfoot aswell, but may have been translated with bias.
encounter with sasquatch in 968 AD. For example, the Sasquatch Chronicles Blog:
The oldest account of Bigfoot was recorded in 986 AD by Leif Ericson and his men. During their first landing in the New World, the Norsemen wrote about manlike beasts that were “horribly ugly, hairy, swarthy and with great black eyes.” Among his accounts, Leif told of seeing huge hairy men who towered over him and his men. The “huge hairy men”, according to Leif, lived in the Woods and had a rank odour and a deafening shriek. It should be noted that Leif Ericson and his men describe huge manlike beasts that were loud and foul-smelling and clearly distinct from native peoples. Apparently, Leif had several sightings of the “huge hairy men” before departing the island. They called the creature “Skellring”. People believe that the creature “Skellring” is what we know today as Bigfoot. This is the earliest recorded encounter with Bigfoot, or Sasquatch.

Yeah, I'm always happy to engage in debate about Bigfoot.
And if I say or do something that doesn't make sense, I want to be called out. I want to be challenged, because it forces me to back up my points, and bring me to a better understanding of what I mean. There have been several discussions I've had that have ended with me changing my mind about something.
The analysis of Big Red I posted used to have a whole paragraph in there about his moaning about how he doesn't have his glasses, and can't see properly, but somehow manages to find the subject fairly easily, until someone pointed out to me a plausible explanation involving contacts and "cheater" glasses that I don't completely remember, but which made perfect sense. So I cut it out, because that person gave me a possible, and plausible, explanation.
The Independence Day footage I used to claim was an unequivocal hoax, no IFs ANDs or BUTs about it. Then I had an indepth conversation about it, and I'm much more receptive to the idea that it might be real (though I still lean heavily toward "It's a Hoax.").
This video, though, I tend sometimes to get REAL vitriolic about it, because it is, to my mind, so incredibly, obviously, and obnoxiously a hoax. From the fun-fur coat, to the jogger in the background, to the domesticated lap dog yapping away at the end, it's all so incredibly fake, and then people come on here with "HOLY SH*T!" and we have to do this dance all over again. It's why I have a document on my computer of most posted Bigfoot videos, and evidence for and against them, so I can just copy and paste it whenever they come up.
Anyway, digression, sorry. I love discussing and debating Bigfoot, and I'm always happy to do so, as long as the person I'm discussing with is civil and polite. You are, and that's nice to have.

As a matter of fact, yes. It’s not as mainstream a topic as bigfoot in North America, but it’s very much a real phenomenon. Although, I don’t believe it’s the same thing that’s happening in the North America. The UK probably doesn’t have the natural resources to sustain a population of giant primates.
If you want to learn more about it, I highly recommend the book Man-Monkey: In Search of the British Bigfoot by Nick Redfern https://www.amazon.com/MAN-MONKEY-British-Bigfoot-Nick-Redfern/dp/1905723164
I highly recommend "Know the Sasquatch/Bigfoot" by Christopher L. Murphy.
Many details behind this research are summarized and the ancient goings-on involving the ancient redheaded giants are recreated in my epic novel and film trilogy, The Flood, beginning with The Flood 1: Escape from Atlantis (yes, the ancient giants are also specifically connected to the ancient transatlantic trade network recalled dimly as Atlantis), now available at Amazon.com: The Flood 1: Escape from Atlantis eBook: Clevenger, John R.: Kindle Store. The ancient giants are a major focus of our work, and we know they were real, in part because we already have some of their bones.
That said, whether relict ancient giants really do explain present-day bigfoot sightings remains to be determined. But there is a long line of evidence strongly indicating that this very likely is the case. Virtually all that evidence is presented in summary form in the Author’s Asides to Book 1.

I watched a documentary on wildman sightings in the UK a couple of years ago but can't seem to find it now. I did find this one though: https://www.amazon.com/Elusive-Bigfoot-Abroad-Andy-Mcgrath/dp/B08CS3L7NB Perhaps you could track down the creators?
We do a complete breakdown of this film in this documentary. Patti is not fake, only the assholes that say they were involved with hoaxing the film. And on top of that, sightings have been going strong for thousands of years to this day. https://www.amazon.com/Unwonted-Sasquatch-Directors-Cut/dp/B08P7X38ZZ/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=the+Unwonted+Sasquatch&qid=1609607493&sr=8-1
I’ve had several people ask when Amazon would have it, and after quite some delay they finally have it in time to arrive before the holiday. Amazon link
Imagine if he was like those typical youtubers instead! Lol
"HEEEEYYOO!! SMASH that subscribe button and BUY my meeerch! Also have you heard about NordVPN!! You can research bigfoot without the government tracking you down..!"
There's a good show that has 13 episodes if you have Amazon Prime.
Boogeymen: Monsters Among Us
If you have Amazon Prime on a TV connected device, this is relevant.

Look at episode 12 Bigfoot and move to the 21 minute mark. They take about the same difficulties as you are posting about.
My father told us as kids that when he was younger, there were sightings around Canton and he would go out driving around to look for him. Amazon confirms his story.
I took my 7-year-old on a hike last week in an active area. I knew with her we wouldn't be quiet. In a group (my husband, my kid, my mom, my grandparents, and I) I felt safe because we obviously were going to be too loud to surprise anything. Anything in a quarter-mile would have heard us coming. I was still able to point out prints and structures.
My kid keeps a nature journal (we're a homeschooling family) and wanted to write down about signs of bigfoot. We followed up today with a movie about the Chinese yeran called Legend of the Forbidden Valley (free on Amazon Prime).
Take a compass, a map, bug spray, first aid, snacks, a whistle and some bear spray. Maybe a casting kit. Even if there is no sign of bigfoot, it can be a great educational and memorable hike. If they are old enough, have them research the topic or even write down a story about your adventure. Give them open-ended questions like, "What do you think a sasquatch would eat?" and "How do you think a sasquatch would hide from people?" If you know how to avoid poison ivy/oak/sumac, try having your kids build a stick structure. Ask them, "What do you think that a sasquatch would use this for?"
For safety reasons, I would suggest staying close to the trails.
READ angels and aliens. it will explain. the camera image is really a manifestation of the collective unconsciousness. even down to how detailed the image can be. also Jacques Valee https://www.amazon.com/Angels-Aliens-UFOs-Mythic-Imagination/dp/0201550849/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=angels+and+aliens&qid=1601235326&sr=8-1 https://www.amazon.com/Passport-Magonia-Folklore-Flying-Saucers/dp/0987422480/ref=sr_1_2?crid=3VZ4U1WJLU9UP&dchild=1&keywords=jacques+vallee&qid=1601235407&sprefix=jacques+val%2Caps%2C157&sr=8-2

or Google my name before you embarrass yourself.
If Bigfoot was a giant ape it still doesn’t explain all the high strangeness surrounding it. Glowing orbs, UFOs, women in white, the list goes on.

These days photographic and video evidence can always be dismissed as a hoax. Likewise with footprints.
What it boils down to for now is you either have to see one yourself, or be willing to believe at least one of the thousands of eyewitnesses.
If you want to read a book with over 100 eyewitness accounts, I'd recommend this one that was published a few months ago:

Thank you I was not sure I am posting the link in this reply. This is my first book and it is self published so I am super scared no one is going to like it. Any interest is much appreciated

Check out the book, Silent Invasion by Stan Gordon. https://www.amazon.com/Silent-Invasion-Pennsylvania-UFO-Bigfoot-Casebook/dp/0966610830
He's a paranormal researcher based in Pennsylvania. The book is well written and discusses a UFO/Bigfoot flap that occurred in PA back in the 1970s. The book is full of weird encounters involving orbs and Bigfoot, disappering Bigfoots, invisible Bigfoots and of course UFOs and Bigfoot.
Even if your solidly in the unknown ape side of the argument (like me) you'll find the book fascinating.

"Detailed analysis of the archival sources suggested that the naming of such a primate was a fraud orchestrated by the Swiss physician George Montandon and de Loys himself, resulting in one of the most notorious scientific frauds of the 20th Century. This investigation provides previously unpublished information about this case -whose development seems to be resolved in Venezuela, through the account of a third witness, the Venezuelan physician Enrique Tejera. Thanks for sharing, I'm really sorry this experience has taken such a toll on you. I'll echo some others in pointing you to Steve Isdahl (howtohunt on youtube), who's emerged as a popular figure recently as a fierce advocate for witnesses, especially those who never asked to encounter these beings and may have been traumatized or ridiculed; you may find some comfort there.
If you're looking for info on UK bigfoot from the "bigfoot researcher" perspective, Nick Redfern is your guy: https://www.amazon.com/Man-Monkey-Search-British-Bigfoot-ebook/dp/B00S0GDM4M
Also Bigfoot Tony on youtube is popular for his excellent analyses of videos, but early on in his channel he documented some great field work in England.
These beings are real and it's sad that people have to suffer, largely in silence, after having an encounter they didn't ask for. If you want my perspective on your particular encounter, it sounds like you were being asked in no uncertain terms to leave the area, that it was especially uncomfortable with your dog, and everything you experienced is perfectly common and normal. They will use intimidation and escalate those tactics if pressured, but it doesn't sound like you were in any danger.
It sounds to me like the lasting trauma you're experiencing is largely due to being confronted with something extremely strange and unknown to you, in very dramatic fashion, as well as not having a real outlet to discuss the encounter. I hope you can come to accept what you experienced as normal in time and find peace.
Awful lot of advice being offered from positions of seemingly little or no experience with sasquatch.... please do yourself a favor and read accounts of others who have been in similar situations as yours: https://www.amazon.com/Impossible-Visits-Interactions-Sasquatch-Habituation/dp/1436398517
I was actually wrong about it being on Etsy, surprisingly it was an Amazon purchase. I bought it q few years ago though, so I'm not sure if they'll still have them.
Like it or not (I"m on the side of not), bigfoot porn is a real thing. Melba Ketchum (the vet who wanted to publish the DNA study) has written/published multiple books of bigfoot porn.
Here's a link to one of her books which is selling on Amazon for $889.00 for a single paperback!

This sub is about all things sasquatch and this is part of the culture of sasquatch. I'm not a fan but it's on topic.
For sure. If you like found footage, check out my first film I made back in 2015. If you have amazon prime it’s free. It’s not the greatest but I was happy with the budget we were working with.

Happy to help, guys. And while we're on the topic... John Green's book Sasquatch: The Apes Among Us is another fantastic resource for old-timey Bigfoot stories; my favorite book on the subject by far.
(A little pricey - I've never seen a copy for less than $30, even on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/Sasquatch-apes-among-John-Green-ebook/dp/B07MGMCVPR/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=john+green+apes+among+us&qid=1583335061&sr=8-1)
>...the question I'm trying to answer is what similarities are there in people's encounters with Bigfoot? Through collecting reports, evidence, and first-hand accounts, I'm hoping to see trends that occur in location, time of day, and experience.
To avoid false positives (?) on this you might want to ask what television shows, podcasts, youtube channels and websites the person consumes. If someone was exposed to a concept from a media source might it not later be incorporated into that person's memory of their own encounter subconsciously?
>Basically it will be background info if I can convince the university to let me continue with Bigfoot.
This process is something of great value to the members. The process of requesting a grant/study topic has itself been sort of mythologized. If you are able to shed some light on this it would be great.
>I'm trying to look at the community around Bigfoot. To me, it's amazing that we have a hominid living in the nooks and crannies of the world, and I want to hear the stories of those that have seen, heard, or otherwise experienced its existence. I am in no way trying to prove or disprove anything with regard to Bigfoot, but am trying to focus on the people around it
You Might enjoy this book. The author went on short expeditions with a number of different researchers from different parts of the country and did chapters on each. It's a fun, quick read.

No need to send me anything at this point. Just looking out for the folks here. Best of luck.
$100 for a used VHS tape! This movie has GOT to be good!
There was a pretty great episode on Amazon Prime's Boogeymen: Monsters Among Us that did great research and actually found one or two bodies of Chupacabras, then did the genetic research and found out what at least one of them was.
It's episode 4 below if you have Amazon Prime.
This is the one that sparked my interest (around 1976 or so):

If you like regional books that have done well and written by someone in the woods all the time please consider my book “Tracking the Stone Man”. I have introduced a couple of new theories in behavior. Tracking the Stone Man: West Virginia's Bigfoot https://www.amazon.com/dp/0692685170/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_4gL4BbQ0JE89Z
That depends on what you call "evidence."
If I don't charge and attack any creature that looks at me, am I "super wimpy" ?
Since you changed the subject from Bigfooot to bears for some reason, I suggest reading the book "Grizzly Years."
The book The ShadowKiller brings up that Bigfoots can enter the dreams and visions of spiritually aware humans. With the the majority of Bigfoot believers being into recreational drugs, it is believed that the Bigfoots are driving the wedge between the believers by influencing the visions and trips the believers experience during their drug use.
I am almost through with David Sykes' book. He is a serious scientist who methodically combed the world looking for DNA evidence. His story is really good, and he kept an open mind. I am not quite sure what his conclusion will be, as I still have a few chapters left.
