Hello guys this is Jason from Pirates Breakdown.
Some fellas and I got together and wrote a 280-page season preview book with some nice in-depth studies and features.
The paperback is on-sale today so I thought I'd leave a link here (prime eligible!)...kindle version available also
We have some excerpts up on piratesbreakdown.com also if you want a preview.
Thanks!
Last year I subscribed to MLB. tv and used a DNS service like Unlocator to get around the blackout, had to reset a few things every so often on the DNS, but for the most part was pretty reliable and was able to watch using my PS4 and if I recall correctly, on mobile as well. Ended up around $30 a month total (MLB. tv ~$25/m, unlocator ~ $5/m). Cancelled both after the season ended. No idea if it works this year or not, but maybe something to look into.
Utilizing. Check out the Travis Sawchik book about it Big Data Baseball. Until 2012, it was only the one guy & his findings were largely ignored.
For those looking to... um... Buc the system.

This will allow you to bulk send messages through your carrier to any number, and you can stagger them. I'm using it to vote every 10 seconds. I can confirm it works on Android Marshmallow, so most other versions should support this app too.
If all text votes count, I'll be voting quite a bit in Marte's favor. If you have unlimited text messaging, you may want to check it out.
Questions to ensure this is works, that maybe someone here can confirm:
1: You can vote an unlimited number of times, right?
2: You'll only receive 1 automated response saying your vote has been counted?
3: Is there any way to verify that more than one vote is actually being tallied?
Let's go Bucs.
You could use a service like Unlocator () this will allow you to watch games if you are in a designated blackout area. I used it all last season on my PS4 and the app.

If you have T-Mobile (or know someone who does), during preseason they usually give out an subscription as one of their "T-Mobile Tuesdays". I use WindScribe, a free VPN to get around the blockout. Free Pirate games for the year. You can watch on your computer or use something like Chromecast to cast it on your TV
There's a step by step guide out there which will give you more details but you'll need to buy this thing called Unlocator. It's like $5 a month. That and $20 for is totally worth it. Works like a charm.
Here
My folks use ~~https://unlocator.com/~~ I meant https://www.unblock-us.com/
I also use it to watch playoff games/the All Star game
Works great for them and they offer a free week trial so you can try it out
This is what I do:
Get a VPN service. I recommend one called Private Internet Access.
Buy subscription.
On a PC, run Private Internet Access. You can pick what "location" you want to connect VPN from. I usually do Canada.
Launch MLB TV
Connect an HDMI cable from your PC to tv and enjoy the game.
I use Zenmate which is pretty good and free. It used to be much better with more countries available, but they added a premium function and took those away. As long as you put it outside of the US, you should be able to watch it.
I use one as well because I am in NE PA and still in root's territory. I use Private Internet Access as a VPN. $6 a month and it works great. I use the US East one and get plenty of speed for HD playback
Bonus: Got a Zeiss wipe with the swag the election people were handing out today.
Not bonus: The package was stapled through, so the wipe is probably dried out.
