As a new 6th gen owner, the only thing that surprised me that not a lot of people mention is that there is ZERO storage space around you. I knew the trunk opening was small, the back seats were small, etc. But there's literally nowhere to put things from your pockets. There's a small holder behind the console that's a pain to reach to, but other than that, there's nowhere to even hold a phone without getting in the way of the shifter.
No sunglasses holder, no little cubby to throw your wallet, nothing.
I purchased a phone mount and these and all is well again, but I was truly surprised at the lack of storage in the seating areas.
Otherwise, the thing is an absolute blast and I've never owned a better vehicle. I'm in the small camp of people that don't really have visibility issues - as long as your mirrors are set right, you can see everything around you (minus the front splitter when parking...). If you're going auto, try and get the 10 speed. If manual, year won't matter.
I got this kit from Amazon.
It comes with 4 led strips, and fuse taps for a couple different sized fuses, along with an led controller, full function remote, as well as keychain remote. Hands down the best value I could find.
Wired up the fronts a few months back, but didn't have time to do the back seat along with the fronts (with 2 kids there isn't much time for anything)
To power: fuse tap on the drivers side fuse panel to F17. Ground to the bolt that is right in that same area. I also tucked the controller away in that same location with some 3m double sided adhesive.
Lights: drivers side was easy. Figure out where you want the lights (helps to plug them in and have them lit up so you can mess w placement til you find what you like) then 3m/zip tie/etc to the spot. Passenger side: I popped off the center console trim and ran the wires across that to reach passenger front foot well. Same thing...mess with placement, when good, attach.
For the backseat: pulled out rear seat cushion, and trim along the drivers side rocker panel up to the fuse box. Zip tie the cables together, and run along the channel that's right there, then along the front of the rear seat area just behind the cushion. End of the wiring terminates in the middle of the seats just behind center console. Put rear seat back in, climb back there and plug in led strips to find placement. Used a few dabs of hot glue to attach them to the bottom of the seat.
And that's that. This kit is so simple that it is really a painless install, you just gotta make sure you run the wiring neatly, and secure it along any runs to either the dash, another wire loom, etc, so it doesn't fall out. Tuck the excess up into the fuse panel and call it a day!
It's a production car rule or something that they can't be. Unless you live somewhere like Florida where you can basically run without doors and on bald tires, check your state laws on what's allowed for running lights before getting the always on harness adapter and LEDs for the fogs. This is the one I used for my uniden R3. I have it mounted between the rear view mirror and the visor up against the headliner. Works perfect and concealed. Wire runs under headliner to driver side piller down to under dash to underneath console which removes with like 4 bolts, super easy, then you splice in by pinching the blue splice onto the wire coming from the bottom of the cigg lighter.

For what its worth, it doesnt matter if they are made out of plastic or un-obtainium. Covers are covers. Not an upgrade, and imo dont look good at all.

That is a very sketchy way to do it. Just get an “add a fuse” which splits one fuse slot into two fuses and gives you a wire to pull from. But make sure the fuse you are using is powered of key lower to prevent a battery drain.

The 21s and 22s have the same floor mats according to my parts guy. A ton of people on the camaro6 boards had good things to say about these 3D Maxpider mats. I’d never heard of the brand before but I did some research and they looked good. I ordered them and they seem top notch although I haven’t actually used them since I don’t have my car yet. According to people, reviews, and videos online the weather techs don’t go all the way down to the seat. It’s not a problem if you are on the short side but if you are tall the carpet is unprotected. The only issue is that the Gen 6 Recaro headrest posts are floppy, so the mount wobbles. The mount is not the problem, just the seats.
F that friend lol. Its always people with some slow ass car talking shit. Embrace the V6. Its still one of the best performance cars that you can buy new for under 30k. Think of it as a sports car and not a muscle car. You can't even get many RWD sports cars in the US in this price range.

I have had this brake kit on my Camaro since October and had zero issues. They were a great value and the zinc coating has kept the rotors clean and black everywhere the pad doesn’t touch. I don’t know whether it voids the warranty but doing brake work shouldn’t do that in a rational world, theoretically anyway ;)

The biggest difference between the bulbs I purchased and the ones you linked are the fans/lack of fans. The ones you linked don’t have fans, but the bulbs I purchased do have fans, so whenever my lights turn on, they make a quiet whirring noise. It doesn’t really bother me though. The ricer in me found it kinda cool when I turned them on for the first time lol.

I'd be pretty pissed about that. But yeah without load resistors, if the new lights are LEDs then you will still have the same issue. You'll need something like this to prevent it.

It's pretty straightforward to install, just Google it or message me if you need help with them. I'd recommend mounting them on metal where they won't come into contact with plastic though as they may heat up.
I did my CAI before my exhaust. It had a very noticeable impact on the sound above 2500 rpms. Much deeper and more aggressive. I have an insulated box. I believe this is it on amazon. I recently bought a set of these and when i had them installed the tire shop programmed them to work with a 2011 camaro. (For free) Then when I put the wheels on I did the onboard relearn process.
Great! I bet if you look under the car, behind the front wheel or in front of the rear wheel, inside of the side skirts or other plastic moulding, right near the pinch welds, you'll see some triangle arrows stamped/marked/notched out.

Here is what I used. The pins are designed to just be shoved into the back of the plug at the mirror. If it didn't need the DC converter it would have been a no wiring/soldering needed affair.

There's a pic in there of the Raptor with some dog hair in the carpet. A big rubber mat covers most of the rear but you can see a clear line where the dog hair begins and a LOT of the interior was like that. Took me probably an hour to get all the hair out. Brush, vacuum, repeat till it's all gone.

And yes, there's room in the back for two adults when you're determined. Plus it's hidden enough that you can get most of your clothes back on once you see a cop shining a spotlight through the rear glass! Doesn't make it any less awkward though. There's no denying what was going on.
It was kind of funny though. He said, "Well, this is awkward". Me and a half dressed European blonde in the back of a Camaro at a lake at 2am probably wasn't what he expected to find that night. He said that we were all young at one point and to just go home.

My brother got me this when I got the car, and it works really well. It's magnetic, so you put a little magnetic plate either in or on your phone (or phone case) and it'll stick to the magnet on the holder.
If you go to just do the pads it shouldn't be more than a couple hundred bucks. I can almost guarantee you that they wont use Brembo pads. If they claim they do, make them show you the box.

You will need factory tire sensors and this tool to recalibrate them. You might be able to take it to a dealer, but they might try charging you.
One more thing, I would recommend buying a skip shift eliminator. This gets rid of the annoying 1st to 4th shift requirement during slower speeds.

This thing has saved my ass more times than I can count but also remember to not rely on it entirely. Sometimes cops don't leave their radar guns on all the time and only turn it on once you're in view and at that point you're screwed. But yeah, it's a must for any Camaro owner as I'm sure you're aware that this car does not want to go slow. Well worth the price as insurance rates only go up with points and tickets can be expensive, too
I have a 2012 LS and it's not the prettiest with the heritage wheels (although it has a muscular look), but I love it. I know gas mileage isn't a main concern, but I average about 25-26 miles per gallon and I don't drive it all that gingerly. Lacks the torque of a v8 for sure but if you like to rev the hell out of a car from 3k-5k consistently it's a blast.

The best thing about that RCA converter is that it has remote turn on via signal detection, so I didn't have to run a line to the front of the car. It's pretty well the perfect setup for a stock head unit. I had planned on upgrading everything, but the front sound stage with the factory speakers is not too shabby.
You said "subs". Will a dual-sub box fit into the trunk from the back seat? You won't be able to get it in through the trunk! I downsized to a single sub and it sounds great. What equipment are you installing?
Yes and yes, these things have more to do with the head-unit than the dash kit. I read a lot of people have issues with the scosche kit so I opted for the Metra 99-3010S. Just a suggestion, hope it works out well for you.

If I know for sure it was stainless I was going to go at it with some 0000 steel wool. I read that it's a bad idea to use that on chromed metal.
Use these suction cups to stick it to the inside of the windshield a few inches up from the dash where it's clearly visible and you'll have no problems. They have strong suction, it'll never fall off. I use these also.
