I will say that you must be incredibly careful when installing one of these. Too much boost and you can kiss your engine goodbye. It usually is accompanied by intake and exhaust mods. It is cheap, though
Polish with Maguire Plastx and then seal the headlight with a sealant.

I didn't code the Android software myself, I'm using an off the shelf solution called "Torque".
It uses a cheap $5 bluetooth obd2 dongle to speak with the tablet.

yes indeed about the suspension! And actually i already have a book that is well reviewed in my amazon Shopping Cart that i can't wait to get my hands on.

If I'm only going to use the filter shouldn't I go with a cheaper option like this & just put it in the stock airbox? https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0779G92L9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
This "samurai sword" shifter I had attached in a similar way. What you're looking for is a hollow cylinder of plaster, maybe rubber, that is just big enough that you can screw it around the threads on the shifter. Then when you slide the shifter knob over it, and tighten the screws, it wont slide around the threads like you've mentioned.

You can see them in the first photo here. Four different sized plastic nibs, that's the product I installed with them. Here is another amazon(CA) link that looks like it only includes those plastic pieces. Otherwise you might be able to just get away with wrapping a piece of duct tape around the top bit of the threads, so that the screws/bolts won't slide along the metal? Might be a pain to get off though.
One more thing, some foam speaker pads are also great for sound quality, something like this helps way more than you'd think it would. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076MM4DJV/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_N5RWM880GH01WWDZB114?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Do you want a legit train horn with a separate compressor? Because those can easily get into the triple digits and you'll need to set up the compressor somewhere. I have this on my truck which started as a joke, but it's not bad. Except I can no longer politely honk to let someone know the light turned green or something
It gets old pretty quick

Thanks for the info!
I had not come across that article in my googling. The "value model" that they recommend is $200 and it seems solid. Idk if I can justify more than that to my wife. Lol.

There might be better options available elsewhere, but I think I found what you're looking for. Make sure that the dimensions of stickers work well for whatever size your buttons are.
These are the lights I have...
Also I know my car is dirty, I took these pictures right before I took it in for detailing, so I can brainstorm on how to put them on before I get my car back tomorrow lol
The only way to not ruin your hood would be to use double sided trim tape. Other than that you are talking glue which will ruin the paint or drilling a hole, which i hope you understand will also ruin your hood. You could always find a hood from a junk yard and drill a hold till your hearts content in that one and when you sell the car put the pristine hood back on.

I put LED's in my 4runner, i had a SC400 with HID they were ok. The LED's are a breeze! i got mine from Amazon. They have heat sinks and fans on them! Plug and play!

As for color, i got 6000K it is [in my opinion] the most white.
I was actually looking at it a couple days ago on amazon and i saw some guys on forum that were compairing it with: https://www.amazon.com/Automotive-Technology-Systems-Approach-5th/dp/1428311491/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1484368197&sr=8-4&keywords=Automotive+Technology%3A+A+Systems+Approach which also looks like a good overall car book. My next will probably be one of these 2.

Here is the one I mentioned. It looks like the price has gone up. But it's still a fairly affordable option.
Also I'm going to install this one on my 05 Aviator in two weeks:

Would probably sound terrific on your vehicle. Just under $100 shipped.
This may be a better question for the community over at r/ECU_Tuning
If you want to do it yourself you could go with something like the MHD Flasher N54 app and the flasher module or go with TunerPro, a laptop, and an OBD2 cable.
Was looking to get this switch: https://www.homedepot.ca/en/home/p.toggle-spdt-20a-125vac-ofo-1cd.1000104180.html Would this work? Also, I'm thinking of just doing as you said by buying the 16 gauge because I can find it at a good price, but 14gauge costs me 3x as much. Now for the 26 gauge wire. If I buy something like this would it work fine? Does it matter which goes to the positive side or the negative? Last question (I think)! since I am tapping into two power sources that have their own grounds I do not need to ground anything in regards to the dome/12V source do I? I would just need to ground the LED strips correct? Appreciate the help so much!
Hey thanks for all the info. I ended up going an even more basic route and just replaced my phone mount with this one that has a built in on/off switch, which is nice because sometimes I like to leave the dashcam recording when I'm parked or just running into the store.
The best way to plug and play this would be with an inverter. If you use this you should be able to connect any 120v stereo that you want that uses less than 500w.
You could probably adapt something from a kid electric car found on craiglist, or a car-shaped baby stroller.
I'm looking at this monitor and this camera for a backup system that's $46 total.
I currently drive 80 miles each way to work, so yeah, good radio is nice. Not sure I wanna invest in a better speaker system though, since I only see this car being driveable for another 3 years tops.
Currently looking at ways to swap the in-dash radio for an ipad mini. Last part I need is an amp (?) to send l/r rca connections to all the speakers. I think I'd get a better experience from an ipad than the head unit options that are currently available. Plus even if I want a head unit in the future, I just get it and have a spare ipad.
The keyless rs system from digital guard dog looks cool. It is $700, but I think my dad said that a remote-start system would be ~$400...very tempting for $300 more :D
The foot well lights are a good idea, I'm actually about to re-do that to my bike. Accent lighting would be a nice touch.
Thanks for the ideas!
