I use songkick.com. It takes bands you likes and sends you a reminder when they're in town and you can track as many as you want. It also takes you straight to the site to buy tickets too.

With so many great artists looking for gigs, we’re making their music louder by bringing it straight to your door!
Hey everyone! I recently released an app, Trombone, that lets people find live bands for events (so excited)! You can upload your pictures, videos, tracks and get booked. And it's completely free to sign up! Any kind of feedback from someone who actually performs would mean a lot! Please hmu

SongKick is my favorite website that keeps track of touring artists. http://www.songkick.com/ However, if you want to check the venues individually, I often just look around on their websites every month or so to see what they have going on (I know I'm not going to have all of them but these are the ones I most commonly end up at):
House of Blues
The Bottom Lounge
The Subterranean
The Beat Kitchen
The Metro
Concord Music Hall
The Vic
The Aragon
Scony Mack is definitely interested.
We would be ok with sharing gear as well. We have a sennheiser vocal mic, cables, an sm57, and a condenser or two.
I bet our singer would want to do live recordings of the sets as well.
My band About The Mess will come play a nice hard rock/punk rock set for you. We have only one song titled A Story To Tell hosted online right now, but will be recording a 5 song EP that I'm sure everyone will enjoy at the end of May, which should be available by the first week of June. Also we are playing Double Door on June 3rd if you'd like to check out our live act.
We play about 9 songs in a 30 minute set.
evilolive on wednesday nights is great for house music as well as boomboom room [green dolphin on mondays] evilolive has electro-house on mondays as well https://www.facebook.com/evilOlivechicago
mondays are fucken crazy there. also simone's on 18th street is good for house music. when exactly are you going to be here?
One band that I played with recently is Tiny Miles and the Big Kids. They really impressed me live and are working as hard as any band I know to build up a fan base. They are a blues rock band.
I love this song. Also shameless plug, if you want to book this band, check out their music or whatever, find them on Trombone
