One of my friend interviewed in 17 companies, got failed in all these companies, and then he cracked Amazon.
You need to keep trying and fail. You shouldn't fear the interviews. Give them, in the beginning, you will fail in most of the interviews. But, you will be getting the experience. After sometime, there will be repetition of questions.
And keep practicing. Solve top 100 questions on leetcode. That should cover 90% of the interviews. (https://leetcode.com/problemset/top-interview-questions/)
Best of luck. Feel free to reach me in case of any doubt.
I recently appeared for coding round of a company that was offers 6.5LPA according to Glassdoor. The test was done on Zoom with 60-70 candidates, you had to share your screen and turn on your web cam.
Problem1 (1 point): Given an array of integers where each element lies between 1 and 10 (inclusive). Sort them in place in O(n) time.
Problem2 (2 points): Rotate a 2D array by 90 degrees in clockwise direction. Do it in place. You can try this here: https://leetcode.com/problems/rotate-image/
Problem3 (3 points): Dont remember the statement but I solved it in O(N) space and time using prefix sum.
I did problem 1 and 3 but there were guys who finished all 3 within 15-20 minutes. So pretty sure I am eliminated.
> Reverse a linked list type or CP story problems?
Usually CP stories.
There are lots of hiring challenges on Hackerearth, just try taking a few of those. Even if they reqire experience you can just do it for practice and get a feel of the kind of problems usually asked.
You might wanna go through this

AFAIK,amazon prefers candidates with good leadership qualities,so make sure you sound like a good leader.
Good luck!
Codewars has a bunch of sql problems [Codewars SQL.
I checked out your project looks really cool. A piece of advice if you want to include a large number of torrent trackers you should look into r/jackett(https://github.com/Jackett/Jackett) if you were to use that as the backend and display the results used by that on your website it provide you with a better way of managing a large number of trackers.
I would not suggest to pay that much of amount. Instead you can start learn the basic of DS/Algo via free tutorials in YouTube and other places. Have a look at leetcode discuss Study guide sections for others journey of Learning to crack top companies. Here's one example
If you look closely , there is they differ in their own ways
The beauty of both is its not centralized and you could choose a public instance or selfhost yourselfs

Gatsby is a static site generator based on React. You can read more about it here.
For animations, I used Framer Motion.
in the map function, every item should have a unique key. (React needs a key element to keep track of elements in a list, so that it knows when to re-render).
Here u are returning a key, but i dont get what
key={\*number\*.id}
means? where u trying to use regex there? i doubt that would work. maybe try using something else as a key? u can just generate a random number or something like number*2.

No, actually this year total cash for first 2 years is 25 per year for amazon. Amazon compensation. Similarly some companies give 6-7 lakhs worth of stock per year.
Yep, I smell bullshit to. It would have been believable maybe 20 years ago but with modern VCS a bug revert is just about (log n) git bisect away
where n = total number of commits.

A bit on the heavier side with somewhat meh build quality but the processor and screen in it is best in class.
Since you mention microservices I would recommend this book https://www.oreilly.com/library/view/building-microservices-2nd/9781492034018/
I would also recommend to learn the basics of domain driven design. The goto book for domain driven design is https://www.amazon.in/Domain-Driven-Design-Tackling-Complexity-Software/dp/0321125215
The reason that DDD is interesting is because it's at the boundaries of systems you often find complexity. Also DDD makes you understand how important it is to create a language so that people can communicate about systems. This is called an ubiquitous language.
I think I will stop here, but I would also mention thst it's important to understand distributed systems, event based architecture, system theory and software engineering.
This takes many years to learn and only way to learn it is to build and design large systems.
Remember that teachers on universities doesn't really know how to build systems so don't trust a word they say. They will happily teach you the wrong things because they don't have experience building and designing large systems, they only teach students the wrong things.
Best of the best for Gaming + Programming will either be the LG C1 48" TV (1.05L-1.15L) or the LG C2 42" TV (92K is the price I've heard). For that money, you could get 2 (or even 3) 4k IPS panels and stack them in any format you want. Something like this.
if he likes Ultrawides, anything LG should be a great choice.
CodeDecode has decent playlists for Java Interview Questions. https://www.youtube.com/c/CodeDecode/playlists
If you just want to brush up for interviews & prefer reading material to videos, Grokking The Java Developer Interview by Jatin Arora is a great refresher (either buy from Amazon or download from libgen).

Any laptop with equivalent specs is a bare minimum at 80K
Credit card wise, Flipkart Axis Bank Card and Amazon ICICI Cards have great discounts. Zero percent emi might be offered for certain laptops.
I just bought a chair last month and did Good Amout of research.
1) Stay away from gaming chairs, if you are going in that price range you can get a really awesome office ergonomic chair.
2) Buy one with headrest, lumbar support, good adjustable height.
3) I used greensoul midback priced 4K for 1 year but recently upgraded to their Jupiter chair. https://www.amazon.in/Green-Jupiter-Superb-Multi-Tilt-2-Dimensional-Adjustable/dp/B0987V3K22. Will recommend it. Good lumbar support , build quality.
I have Featherlite Optima (imported model) which costed me 32k. It's worth the price but I don't think the armrests are that good. I just removed them and I frankly prefer using a chair without armrests now.
I am very skinny so concentrating my weight on a very small area and hence most seat cushions give up on me. This one did the same too. I got this Rs. 200 cushion and it's super comfy now: https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B08J834S1R/
If I were purchasing a chair now, I would have purchased something pricier probably, but this is not bad. It gets the job done well and I can sit on this the entire day without being fatigued. It's a good chair for the price.
Sure.
At ~3K, it’s on a little expensive side, though I feel it’s well worth the cost. The light is extremely easy on eyes and works with wifi, so you can automate it to your liking.
I mainly bought it out of love for its beautiful design. https://www.amazon.in/Mi-Smart-Desk-Lumens-Wi-Fi-Enabled/dp/B07Y8BDZ79/ref=asc_df_B07Y8BDZ79/?tag=googleshopdes-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=397008638143&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=3099979427801671196&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&a...

AMD Ryzen 5-3500U/8GB/512 SSD
I've been using Zebronics Orion 7.1 for ~3 years now, they sound great & work great for any calls etc. Their earpads wore out & I just got new ones & changed them out, made the headphones as good as new. https://www.amazon.in/dp/B078NYL1JT/
With my laptop I use Jabra Elite Active 65T. Using them for ~3 years now, they work great as well.

I totally agree with the company in that case. You are wasting others time because of your issues. As others suggested better to use a mobile network where the connection seems to be better.
One more options is to buy a small UPS for the router. I was using this before buying an UPS. It can survive upto 5-6 hours if you are using it only for the router. It has 2 plugs and cannot charge laptop. It's decent and worked for 1 year. After 1 year the it is giving backup only for 1 hour.
Try a USB wifi adapter with an antenna, might work
It depends what kind of display you want to use. Something like this is easy to use with the ESP32 and there is sample code readily available.

For example:
This book might be useful.
Can't say anything about mouse since I don't really use mouse but if your budget allows for it, the Logitech G512 is a fantastic keyboard. Has GX Brown switches so not as loud as blue switches and doesn't tire my fingers even with long typing sessions. I type all my notes and I use this and my fingers don't get tired even after typing for 2-3 hours. Its also pretty comfortable to type with and the tactile feedback is nice. On Amazon
As for the stand, any stand within 700-1000 rupees range is fine.
Personally I could never trust cheap monitors which aren't VA panels.
The reason is that most IPS panels, especially the cheap ones have backlight bleed and absolutely shit contrast ratios. They look alright until you have a dark scene when you can see the gray edges which is outright ugly. Most companies don't do proper QC and I somewhat believe that they send their worst units to India since people are less skeptical here about things like backlight bleed and just put up with it.
VA panels by design have higher contrast ratios of 3000:1 usually which is way better than IPS. Have significantly less backlight bleed and hence are more enjoyable for watching movies.
What VA panels suck at is gaming. There's ghosting problems associated with VA panels but I don't personally mind that at all as I don't game too much to begin with. I bought a BenQ GW2470HL 24-inch for 8.5k in 2019, but the closest to that which I can find today is this Acer one for 10.5k: https://www.amazon.in/Acer-Features-Bluelight-Flickerless-Comfyview/dp/B09LD7Z9JH/
You can try Acer aspire 5. RAM is not expandable though.. but battery life is all day. All ryzen CPU ending with U have better battery life.
Acer Aspire 5 AMD Ryzen 5 5500U Processor 15.6 inches Business Laptop - (8 GB/512 GB SSD/Windows 10 Home/Radeon Graphics /Microsoft Office 2019/1.76 kg/Silver) A515-45 https://www.amazon.in/dp/B091HGK1B6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_i_M4G4GZ06X3KFJVSDW86M
Why would you suggest him a thick 2kg+ thick gaming laptop with a dedicated GPU? That'll give him terrible battery life, fan noise, excess heat. There are several thin and light options for 5500U with decent integrated GPUs which is more than plenty for OPs needs. This ideapad for example: https://www.amazon.in/Lenovo-Ideapad-Keyboard-Warranty-82KU017KIN/dp/B09MM58Y7Q/
Hey u/PaulBergs
I would suggest going for a Thinkpad E14 gen 3 AMD (yes, that's the product name) for your use case.
Should be around 56k, I'm just sharing a link that I generated from the Amazon app.
Looks to be some kind of sale.
Don't go for gaming laptops or anything with a dedicated GPU unless you really need it, their battery life sucks.
My company has started issuing these. work really great with MS teams and have mute and call pick button too.
Jabra Microsoft Lync Stereo Headset with Noise Canceling Technology for Lenovo Evolve 20 https://www.amazon.in/dp/B00O1A9FT2/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_5DZ963FQ9RB77A5DM760?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Btw, I have used everything from laptop speaker to wired speaker via HDMI to OnePlus bullets to Bose QC with MS teams for video calls. I have never faced a problem with any. It is really strange your bluetooth headset did not work with teams, maybe just a software configuration or settings issue.
A cat is trying to sleep, but she wakes up when you turn on the light. She turns the light off and tries to sleep again. (She will cuss you if you annoy her)

I just got this greensoul chair from Amazon for 9K:
They also have a non metallic base version which costs 8k.
I've been eying redmibook, build is decent and specs are good, link
Check the budget as well. You aren't getting i5, SSD, 8GB RAM and 1080p display under 45k.
Though I found a new Ryzen alternative which might just do the trick : https://www.flipkart.com/hp-ryzen-3-quad-core-5300u-8-gb-512-gb-ssd-windows-11-home-15s-eq2143au-thin-light-laptop/p/itm833bca55e158b
Two column resume are bad because ATS system will have hard time parsing the resume.
I would suggest you to use overleaf Tex. There are alot of open source resume formats. Yes it's time consuming but it's worth.
From what I can see
Maybe you can try to use some of the templates at Overleaf to spice up the resume.
I'd advise deanonymizing certain parts of your resume (projects without links) if you want to get any meaningful feedback on the content of the resume.
Thanks for sharing your journey!
I have heard good things about Blind 75 and Sean Prashad's list for teaching patterns. What's your opinion on it?
https://leetcode.com/discuss/general-discussion/460599/blind-75-leetcode-questions https://seanprashad.com/leetcode-patterns/
> What happens to those who copy and crack the companies?
Not a whole lot from what I know. As long as they can do the work that is assigned to them and not be a massive asshole, they should be all right.
Just read the Leetcode Cheating Post's comments. It's a dog eat dog world out there and people seem to be really ruthless when it comes to getting money.
As an example, Amazon's TC will be around 17-20L. That's a life changing amount of money for a lot of people. It is not impossible to see why people cheat.
The Hiring process, to me, seems broken on purpose and freshers should generally be happy about it. If they actually started asking real software engineering questions, I don't know if most people can pass it.
Companies like Rapido, Dunzo, Zomato, Zepto, Swiggy, 1Mg, Ixigo, etc.
Mostly the products to see around you, If you get into one of these you will do great.
Instead of joining service-based companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys.
You will need DSA to crack these.
For that leetcode.com will be sufficient.
You will find jobs for most of these companies on
1. Linkedin
2. Cutshort
3. Instahyre
Also, try searching for good startup on AngelList and applying there.
There were these two apps I was checking recently Hirect and Zigup which have good listing of good startup companies.
If your goal is to get a web development role in a product company, just do the JS track in The Odin Project and keep building projects. Do Leetcode on the side using Java/C++ and start applying to companies.
You can start with this scrimba course along with react docs and make sure to learn hooks after finishing the course on scrimba.
I would refer to the original docs of writing idiomatic go code here,
Also I am assuming you know what REST APIs are and are well acquainted with MVC structures, so you can look into Beego (battries included) , gin(lightweight, easy, but you have to put in work for support you need) or revel(aged and consistent) frameworks, while you might face some inconveniences as to some ORMs not being included (mongo mostly, but resolved by the chi framework)
I would suggest you to write a simple app that displays some statement on a page first and then move on to attaching the frontend and more complex stuff.
I'd personally go with the two options you mentioned, but you could also look into XMPP. It's a messaging protocol built on top of TCP (not http like websocket) and is used by the likes of WhatsApp (and even FCM internally) etc. But again, depending on your use case it is probably overkill.
Currently, we are working on making the code developer friendly. Once that's done, probably in a week, the project will go open source and you can start contributing. We are excited about the open source release and appreciate your interest. You should consider joining the Kalaam discord server for real-time updates about the project: https://discord.com/invite/EMyA8TA

that is a very nice question. I have been in the same situation for a while
I usually maintain my learnings in the company in a simple Github gist. One thing you could do is after every sprint or release cycle do a [personal retrospective](https://circleci.com/blog/a-guide-to-personal-retrospectives-in-engineering/) this might help you jot down points where you failed and succeeded and, to be honest, I doubt anyone would be able to log everything. Just go with a summary of your work every week if possible
Refer to LC discussions page.

If you decide to leave your job, I would suggest you to do some good projects which will get you hired. Maybe you do some freelance work in upwork or some other site. Just make sure you are building projects (not just some to do app or something) that would be helpful in your job search. Check freecodecamp or The Odin project. https://www.theodinproject.com Staying in a job where you learn nothing is worth nothing. With your CTC, you might earn something around 18-20k a month, so you’ll lose 1-1.2 lakhs but you will get it back real quick if you dedicate yourself to learning and do some good projects. As I said earlier, you can look for freelance jobs also. You can earn whatever you earn right now if you find good clients.
that's IDE functionality...which one are you using..?
Modern IDEs will let you customize tab/space sizes....I use Visual Code when I am working on Python...give it a try...
I'm using Deedy Resume Reversed Template( https://www.overleaf.com/latex/templates/deedy-resume-reversed/xmqkrjqqdhqv) ... is this template okay ? (Currently I'm in final year)
I don't know much about Web 3.0 in depth but it looks promising from outside. We need more mainstream applications for web 3.0 for larger adoption of it. I only know one application which uses decentralization tech that is Dtube that good be a very good competitor for Youtube in decentralized space. Most apps or dapps are based on the crypto or defi which many people are not familiar with.
One things which attracts me to Web 3.0 is that "We will own our own data, not the facebook (or any other company)". let's hope for better privacy focused Internet in future......
Genuinely Angular isn't great. in India. There are some companies that have angular jobs but more or less almost every job I see is based in React. If you want to learn React I had an article up some time back https://dev.to/devtghosh/resources-for-learning-react-3a0b.

Regarding Web development in general there are plenty of jobs available.
For front-end work, JavaScript is something you must know intimately. If react didn't jell with you, try out Vue.js or Angular. I'm biased towards Vue.js of course.
As you stated, you are a back-end developer, so it's just about getting to know front-end. I personally believe, the full-stack engineer is something that's very hard to achieve. You're either a front-end person with know-how of back-end or the vice versa. Both are incredibly diverse and deep disciplines and it's simply a monumental task to be fantastic at both. My front-end knowledge is greater than my back-end knowledge, but I know enough to get things done. My main crux of the work has been with complex front-ends, and simple back-ends.
Check out the TheOdinProject, that's gonna give you a nice curriculum to follow. If you're able to create and complete projects that follow industry standards (testing, basic CI/CD knowledge, correct use of git, and most importantly writing readable code), then you'll be gold in a few years.
Yeah it was hard for me too in the beginning to work on something .
This is a good resource https://www.freecodecamp.org/learn
I'm learning through here too and it is pretty good and helps a lot both to learn and to implement as it would ask you do projects at the end to grant you a certificate.
And if you ever get trouble to understand what to learn after what this might help too. https://roadmap.sh/
This might be a suggestion OUT of the way and might not be what you asked for, but my Q are:
If the answer is: 1. Good to Great and 2. Way of life. Then stop reading and move on.
If not, continue: I can say I have a lot of years in the "tech" industry and have seen a couple of alternative career paths that people with less experience might not have heard of or look down upon.
SDET: Software Developer in Test. https://about.gitlab.com/job-families/engineering/software-engineer-in-test/ still requires coding, but not so much on that. Pay is generally one level less than equivalent software developer, but what people forget is that there are fewer people willing to take this up, so generally folks are able to get one level up jobs.
The game is to move to companies that actually hire SDET and in India those would be western companies that just starting to offshore. Everyone starts with offshoring test.
Mermaid is a nice tool for diagrams. Since it uses a Markdown-like syntax, it's good for adding it to version control.
The static IP is needed, and 2K is not all that much for one. I didn't want to use a reverse proxy or forwarding service because I have a VoIP server and I need minimal latency.
The Optiplex series does look nice. I know a vendor who has hundreds of them. At some point in the future, I'll probably get something like that and get a smaller rack.
I've heard everywhere that this book is very good and consice. I've never read it though.
define occasional gaming , playing rocket league occassionally is different than playing rdr2 , halo infinite occassionally ...
might look at Asus TUF dash f15 - 2kg , thin for a gaming laptop , 35w cpu but great battery life
You can try reading TCP/IP Illustrated which goes into a lot of depth about the various protocols. You can buy it or sail the high seas ;)
Another personal favorite book of mine is Computer Networks: A Systems Approach, we had this during college and the book solves the problem of building a network step by step.
I would also suggest supplementing both of these books by doing all the exercises in it or by programming on your own.
Web Scalability For Startup Engineers by Artur Ejsmont is a good starting point, I feel. It's not as dense as DDIA (which is not for beginners, IMO) and is very rooted in practice.
Go for MSI Core i5 9th Gen - (8 GB/512 GB SSD/Windows 10 Home/4 GB Graphics/NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1650 Max Q)
If you you have more budget best would be - MSI G Ryzen 7 Quad Core - (16 GB/1 TB HDD/256 GB SSD/Windows 10 Home/4 GB Graphics/AMD Radeon RX 5500M)
There is an open source game called 0 A.D (similar to Age of Empires and Clash of Clans). And in that game you do have an option to select an Indian king (but the game only has two kings: Chandragupta Maurya and Ashoka The Great). In that indian kingdom, you can produce soldiers (called Khadagdhari, Kauntika and Dhanurdhar (archer)), elephants (called Gajendra for War elephants and Karmika Gaja for worker elephant), you can heal your injured soldiers using priests (called Brāhmaṇa Pujari) etc. They specifically use indian names for those characters if you select Mauryan empire in that game. Game is pretty epic considering it is an open source game. Check it out! https://play0ad.com/
I just happened to come across your post because I am also having issues with Font Awesome. But i am having issues with their site not loading the actual icon pages. So I have trouble loading
https://fontawesome.com/v5.15/icons/accessible-icon?style=brands
And not https://fontawesome.com/
So just one possibility you might want to also check.
If you are using the fontawesome CDN, you might want to change it to something else and try. I think there is something wrong with their hosting service.
I would strongly suggest Udemy courses. They are the cheapest / highest quality / fastest way of learning how to code.
It should hardly cost 400rs / 500rs for a video series (usually 20 hours) andyou can watch / rewatch it as many times as you want.
Hey All!
Brad from DevOps Journey here with another video showing off the popular Python modules.
In this video, I show off FastAPI and how easy it is to build your own REST API.
My video is meant to be a starting point. Documentation for FastAPI can be found here:
