Unfortunately you are correct OP, Chessex no longer offers this set on their website, so you won't be able to order a single die replacement.
However, I was able to find them on Amazon.
Alternately: I was recently gifted this set by the lovely u/Twicedeadguy, and haven't used them yet. I'll gladly re-gift them to you (or just send the d8 if you'd prefer) so that your favorites can be whole again :)
I’m not sure exactly what those are, but if you’re looking for a green and gold combo, I love the Chessex Borealis Light Green w/ Gold set.. they are glittery though, not just transparent like these seem to be.
Edit: there’s a set similar to your picture from Wiz dice available on amazon although it’s just a little darker green.
I've never seen anything like that. Good luck, tho.
What you could do is buy some jumbo blank d6s and draw coffee cups on them yourself. Wal*Mart will sell you some. (25mm is almost an inch.)
Although not on their website, Chessex appears to have a Gemini set in purple and pink available on Amazon.
It's only an issue with the Borealis. If you haven't bought them, you wouldn't have experienced it. Chessex or not, this is a problem with this specific line. And doing some research, this is a known issue that's been brought up on this sub before and can be found in the reviews for these type of dice.
One of the reviewers even mentions contacting Chessex:
> EDIT: I contacted Chessex and they responded quickly; apparently the scuffs are mold marks (they provided pictures to show that all of the borealis and translucent dice have them). Oh well. Added two stars because of good customer service, not full because of the marks though.
Yes they came in the usual packaging. Yes, they're Chessex dice. Sparkly dice have enough draw that anybody making "counterfeit" could probably just brand their own and sell them without the need to fake the Chessex label. I suspect that places like Amazon (or its sellers) are just buying off the B Grade dice for cheap to sell. And yes, Chessex has B grade dice, every manufacturer does. Where do you think their Pound of Dice comes from?
You can get the top right one on Amazon except the numbers are blue instead of gold. I have this set myself and it's one of my favorites.
I got them on amazon at Kiwi Dice
I second Zona paper, I also use PlastX on the final grit, I feel like it gives a better finish, here.
Got them on Amazon in a set of 40. If you don’t have jumbo d20s, 6 oz would be okay too.
Pretty sure the big one is a Koplow 17970. And while this Amazon listing doesn't mention Koplow at all, it looks to be the same die but with its own dice bag, for about the same price that the die is going for itself at other retailers.
i thought about that for a while, but every solution i found was just way bigger than just a pouch and collapsing tray. and for portability, the volume they take in my gaming bag matters. for what it’s worth, i was just searching “dice box” or “dice tray” on amazon.
edit: https://smile.amazon.com/Protective-Padded-Integrated-Board-Tabletop/dp/B07KWJDG14 this is the one i was thinking of... and now you’ve got me reconsidering. lol
15 Color Resin Pigment ,Resin Dye Resin Color Translucent Epoxy Resin Color Pigment for Resin Jewelry DIY Crafts Art Making-0.35 oz/10ml Each https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XJJ9V89/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_s6ldGbRVHGW6X?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 couple drops of pink and white from this kit :)
I own this one:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000XVG8XY/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
it's not the best looking one but it works just fine. It is a lighter wood color so if you like darker colors then it is not for you. For $20 it is not bad but if you look around Amazon a bit you can find other ones that are similar priced.
I got some on Amazon, part of a bundle of 7 sets of dice. Here's a link to the amazon page. Good quality, and quite a good deal with 7 sets for that price. I recommend them.
Edit: they're more pearly white than pink or gold, but I would still definitely recommend these dice.
Do you mean the Chessex Gemini Purple-Red with gold numbers? You can still get the set. It may be available at a local shop and here it is on Amazon
I hope that's what you're looking for since it's a set that's still available on the market.
ETA: It ocurred to me you may have meant the purple set with red numbers, which is also available on Amazon.
Can be found on Amazon. Red one. Blue, Pink, purple & yellow ones.
at least the dice I have aren't. If you look at dice like these https://www.amazon.com/Lycanthrope-Polyhedral-Norse-Foundry-Pathfinder/dp/B071YR4ZL1/ref=sr_1_9?cri
They are super sharp on the edges and not rounded off.
They advertise these cheese themed dice to me on amazon too
I found that these Precision Tip bottles work great! I use to paint in my numbers with a paintbrush but found lots of blank spots with no paint so tried these after k saw a dice maker use them and have been super happy https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088TBWZYB?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
The dice I bought were the Bag of dice thing...I'm not sure It was This bag specifically I don't think they would sell resin dice like this for 34 dollars. I think they are plastic in that sense...but I could be very much wrong. How likely is it that this bag would be resin at that price? I only ask because you said you had experience in the industry.
Poker dice. They're not uncommon. I have several.
This might be what you're looking for. As a bonus it looks like they're clearancing out the set.
For example, this?
And they're generally well balanced? That's especially important because since the dice float up any slight imbalance will be very noticeable
Well...I've kind of gone down a rabbit hole, one of my dice sets cost $140 and they're all at least resin dice at this point. So, I really don't want them banging around against each other and want solutions where each dice is kept in foam such as https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09CM4DD4F/
But like I've also been storing a couple sets in a wooden book box I turned into a rolling tray and that's been going ok, I can keep the box flat and transport them without things clanking around.
And really I want to make foam dice inserts for the box but I'm still obsessing about the exact layout.
All of which is to say you'll probably be happy with either, almost everyone is. Heck, I spent decades happy with all my dice stuffed in a bag together and when that overflowed the extras got to clack around in a hard plastic zombie dice rolling cup.
It's not until you're obsessing over protecting sharp edges and perfectly hand polished surfaces that my concerns even become relevant.

I did message the mod yesterday - hope this doesn't get deleted.
This looks like a basic smoke or wisp effect. I don't know if it has a different 'fancy' name. If I had to guess you added the ink while the resin was still very thin and runny so that the ink could get pulled around by the thermal currents as the resin cured.
What white ink did you use? Not all whites will produce a good petri effect and you won't get a true petri effect without white. Jacquard's Pinata white is one that most people get good results with although some people have had luck with other brands when the white alcohol inks are labeled as sinker white or deeper white. Other whites can produce different effects and you may get something similar without white if you mix up your own mica powder 'inks' but those effects aren't quite the same as petri dish.
The other big factor in petri dish is timing. If you add the ink to early it just mixes in as the resin cures creating something similar to your pics. If you wait too long the resin will be too thick and the ink just sits at the top. The difficult part of timing is that it will change depending on the specific resin, how much you mixed up, and the ambient temps in your space.
All ya'll getting fancy over here and I'm just looking for a way to upgrade my parts organizers
I'll often joke about using a fish and tackle box, but I switched over to a larger make-up case I found at a thrift store. Similar to this
Thanks!
The blue and purple are a brand just called 'Alcohol Ink Set' and the white swirl is Pinata
To answer your question, I intend on collecting as many as I can, which is why I’m trying to get a 96 piece dice set I saw on Amazon.
this seems like what you're looking for: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B086BZXTXC
the first few packs i got were pretty cool. decent variety and mostly usable dice that you'd have to look closely to notice the imperfections. + a d100, d60, and d50. the most recent pack was disappointing though and i ended up returning that set (80% pipped d6s which were not really usable). so i'm not sure about the quality you would get right now. but it's amazon so you can always return it if you get a dud. if you wait a bit it should be available thru prime shipping again, $14.90 or something.
there are other similar type packs sold on aliexpress for $17 or so.
>Originally I was looking for sharp-edged dice, but then I found the unique Zocchi dice, and now I want a 12 die set.
There's some very nice sharp edged ones on Amazon right now. They're some kind of pseudo-threshold knockoffs, but 25-35 a set and gorgeous. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09CYJSVTH/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_asin\_title\_o06\_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I use this, sounds pretty much like what you want - dice modelled in Unity, add/remove dice as required, shake your phone or tap the screen to roll: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fr.sevenpixels.dice
Amazon! I got a 24 pack and a 12 pack. They fit whole 12 piece kraken set! I did the milk bottles but I also liked the design of the honey pot option! I do believe they would still fit in the rack but I wasn't entirely sure so I stuck with the milk bottle design.

I'm her DM.It's... not form fillable yet. I manually add all the text and modify Wizard's default character sheet with Inkscape. The font is Segoe Print
Even after a few coats? Acrylic paints aren't all created equally. Some thicker paints are harder too work with but if you get the right consistency I find the paint gets into the little crevices and can fully cover the numbers. This is the brand I had the most success with:
As a side note I've never been really successful at removing paint from numbers and I haven't found a way to use nail polish remover or isopropyl alcohol without also affecting the die itself.
Strang and unusual dice... here is a set .
The last one looks like a D60? I have one but it looks nothing like the one in the picture. It came from a VSauce's curiosity box, but I know I've seen them at local Comic/Game store.
Amazon has several bulk dice sets with changing company names. The other most often suggested is Wizdice Wiz Dice Bag of Devouring: Collection of 140 Polyhedral Dice in 20 Guaranteed Complete Sets for Tabletop Role-Playing Games – Solids, Translucents, Swirls, Glitters, Alchemic Oddities https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01KP4T6TQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_fabc_EABCX3DN7H04TDB7M409?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
The tubes are from Amazon! The hooks are screwdriver holders; I just modified them myself to fit the tubes better. And pegboards you can get at most hardware/craft places.
Forged Dice Co. Dice Display Case and Rolling Tray with 3 Removable Divided Dice Trays - Storage Box Holds up to 720 Metal or Plastic Polyhedral Dice https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DL56W85/ref=cm_sw_r_sm_apap_5Mzxr7sFSzeCD
They're little glass bottles with a cork. Got them on Amazon a while back kind of like these ones. Each one can hold two seven-piece sets of dice.
I've struggled using flakes in the past and definitely prefer using the sheets.
Here's what I used: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08F9Z9ZGT/ref=cm_sw_r_sm_apa_glt_fabc_V8XBVERKRVN6MSN4RE6P?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Picture shelves from Target (https://www.target.com/p/23-34-x-4-3-34-wood-ledge-wall-shelf-brown-threshold-8482/-/A-50952520). Bottles from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QCN67QM?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share)
Left side are my notebooks, spell books and dice for current campaigns. Bottom right is my son’s dice and dice tower. Top right is daughter’s side and tray.
Closest I've found. Seems pretty generic.
Norse Foundry has some metal colored sets, some with varied fonts, though I don't see any in a serif font and they're awfully spendy.
https://www.norsefoundry.com/collections/aluminum-precision-series
Most of the colored metal sets I find these days are the sort with borders. You can find some of those with serif fonts if you search "heavy metal dice" on Amazon. Here's an example.
Sorry I don't know where else to look. I hope you find what you want.
Theyre the Q-Workshop classic RPG transparent blue and red. ive included an amazon link https://www.amazon.co.uk/Q-Workshop-QWOCLE16-Classic-Transparent-Accessory/dp/B003ZWLWO8/ref=pd_sbs_21_6?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B003ZWLWO8&pd_rd_r=8ceefa0a-abcc-11e8-9d19-530a15f05916&pd_rd_w=zLfSl&pd_rd_wg=J78JS&pf_rd_i=deskto...
Searching “numbered d6 set” on Amazon gives you quite a few good options. Here’s one of the first ones, but if you don’t like it for whatever reason there are definitely more out there.
50 Six Sided Dice - Numbered Translucent Dice With At Least 5 Different Colors - 16mm Standard Size https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HBOO9ZE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_eh3ACbAM5HK0F
I found a few jar of dice on amazon
Starting us off, one of the first piece of equipment I need to get is a pressure pot. From what I've read they are useful for mold making as well as dice.
ABLAZE 1 Gallon Gal Vacuum Chamber Stainless Steel Degassing Urethanes Silicone Epoxies Lid Kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019RZNYPG/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_t0ETDbFVMHRGS
I'm currently looking at the Ablaze 1 gallon pot, currently $68 on Amazon. Is one gallon enough to make dice? Harbor Freight has a larger one but Costa more.
My current dice collection so far. Organised from left to right I have: Glow in the dark sets Clear sets (with a semi opaque set on the side) Bulk dice Marbled dice Metal dice Gemstone and other unique look dice.
I have more dice on order, if people would like to see more let me know.
The foam trays go with a bag that I bought on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07MVGNDJM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_AN4YDbWR7F2P3
You're best bet would probably be Amazon though finding translucent dice sets in bulk for cheep will be difficult. But i did find this listing where each set is $6 if you're looking for pretty starter dice with translucent options.
Maybe smaller, shaped jars, like stars, spell bottles, spheres, could add to the cool-ness factor of it. Maybe small enough to display only one set.
Another thing that would be awesome is something like this filled with dice. You could maybe add some lights or some other props too. I think that would look awesome. If you happen to like that, it in execution would be so cool!
How about chessex gemini dice?
https://darkelfdice.com/products/gemini-rpg-role-playing-game-dice-set-dragon-red-blue
For some reason the amazon listing photo has a weird ugly yellow tinge to the entire photo.
https://www.amazon.com/Chessex-CHX26429-Dice-Gemini-Size-Blue/dp/B076Y5BM5Z
On amazon, depending on your country, you might find massive packs of assorted d20s like this or this. The amazon search is donkey balls, so you might have better luck simply searching on google with the option site:amazon.XXX
(where you replace XXX with your local amazon top level domain). The hardest part might be finding packs of only clear ones (assuming that's what you want). Aliexpress could also work but for some reason you need an account to browse and that annoys me so I don't shop there.
It's possible you were seeing these ones with puzzle pieces inside and saw the two other colors that had bows/butterflies? anyway, They're Udixi dice, and there's some on amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XZHZQPD/ref=twister_B07WH8B93X?_encoding=UTF8&th=1
I use fishing tackle boxes like this one from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CKIG4AA/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_x_Rp9bEbD18NRFG. They are relatively cheap and have good locks and durability.
I have been using a storage tower. I really like it! As I was growing my collection, it was nice to see it fill up. Plus it's clear so I was still able to quickly find a set I was looking for. Here's the listing on Amazon.
Don't! You can easily buy these and they're nearly identical. My friends and I have bought maybe 5-6 sets just like this and they've all been 100% perfect.
Or... even nicer. I've had these on my mind for a few weeks now.
It's Wiz Dice Sticky Ichor. You can find the whole set in amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Wiz-Dice-Polyhedral-Tabletop-Display/dp/B07BCCL5G8?ref_=bl_dp_s_mw_6165401011
The look fluorescent on Amazon, but I assure you they're more of a yellow green like your photo. I have a set sitting in my collection
So I found these, I haven't tried them, but they're half the size of my bottles. So, it may be good for just one set. That's quite a bit of money to spend if they don't work though. I'll try to find better examples when I'm at my computer and I'll reply again if you want? I know I've seen different jars with only one set in them.
Not sure if those are his but these look pretty similar
No problem, they may have an etched mark in them to "cancel them". This won't matter for home and personal use, but if you don't like that and want better balance then don't get actual casino dice because I think legally they have to do this. Don't get the ones with complete holes in them though... those are survivors and that's about it.
I don't have any personal experience with them, but these look good to me for home use. (sorry about the long link, not sure how to hyperlink on reddit)
Check these out. They're felt snap trays, but check out the bottom image - they are flexible enough to be snapped closed for dice storage! I'm getting a set for my kids.
Found some 8mm ones from the same company and these cheaper ones that look good from Hobby Monsters.
Look up John Patrick’s books on Craps. I read it about 20 years ago and its methods are still what I follow.
If you are looking into getting a few sets at a cheap price I would go for the Wiz Dice "pound o' dice". With Wiz Dice you are getting factory firsts instead of chessex's seconds; which people even here said sometimes you get defective dice. Usually you end of getting at least 10, I think in mine I got 12, complete sets and you are guaranteed to get at least one complete set in a pouch.
I've got a couple of these where I keep dice when they aren't in use or in the travel bag.
The clear lid lets me see what's in there, and the dividers let me sort things out a bit.
Use some micromesh like this: MicroMesh and then some nice plastic polish after you go through the grits to keep them shiny.
Granted I haven't done this on any dice but I've removed scratches from plexiglass and acrylic this way and its pretty good all said and done.
Use a high-grit sandpaper and follow it up with a plastic polish like Novus 2.
I did that with mine and you can barely tell.
Get it, get it, get it now.
You really can not go wrong with Wiz Dice's pack:
the above is series 2, I bought series 1:
According to the description in the series 2 you are guaranteed at least 15 complete sets. I think when I bought series 1 I ended up with about 13 complete sets and a few uncomplete items.
All the dice are NOT factory seconds so you get useable dice unlike some of the other pound-o-dice that are usually factory seconds. With the factory seconds you can gets dice that are not playable, chips, missing numbers, etc.
