I'm totally going to make an OS X build of this. Thanks for notifying us! +/u/dogetipbot 50 doge verify
Edit: http://puu.sh/6I7aM.png
303 kh/s on a 760, same config as I had previously. Improvement of 40 kh/s. It accepted K, so I'm assuming they're interchangeable? I might be able to to reach 330 kh/s with overclocking, but I'd have to flash the card's bios for that.
Anyway, here's the build. Don't forget to install curl. For example, install macports and then: > sudo port install automake autoconf curl
Just replace the APW3++ fan and profit...
This is a very low noise 60mm Noctua solution that will work. Just snip off or isolate the 3rd (yellow) RPM wire from the fan connector as it is not used or needed. Only the V+ (red) and G- (black) wires.
This Post suggests that there is bitcoin-stealing software bundled with their client.

Too much power is getting pulled through the motherboard for the pcie slots. You'll probably need one of these unless your board has an extra molex connector specifically to power the pcie slots. It will probably happen again unless you make these changes.
if you don't want to keep updating the wallet (another update might be incoming I think) just use a litewallet like http://multidoge.org/ or the android dogewallet if you have an android phone.
They both sync to the longest chain automatically so you don't have to worry about versions/forks. Also you don't need to download the whole blockchain either.
The detailed information is here on the GitHub project's readme. I've never used it and am not very familiar with it. At a glance, you need to install GPU or other hardware drivers. Also, its not super clear, but it looks like the multiminer will download a precompiled version of bfgminer for you, either when installing it or as some part of when you are running it.
From Dogecoin wiki-"Mining is how new dogecoins are created. Mining uses the Scrypt key derivation algorithm to proving a Proof of Work, or a way to prove that you've actually mined what you claim you've mined. Mining a block can be likened to cracking a password for that block (the process is very similiar). This is why GPUs (the processor on graphics cards) are more effective than CPUs - where a consumer-level CPU will have up to 8 cores, a GPU can have hundreds, each one simultaneously attempting a different 'hash'. . There are two different ways to mine - Solo Mining (you try to mine a block on a single device) and Pool Mining (where many people join together to mine the same block, splitting the block profits). Mining speeds are measured in KH/s (kilohashes per second) and MH/s (megahashes per second)".- If you do start Mining it is where you earn a larger amount of Coins which can actually be worth quite a lot, Have you set up a wallet? here is a link http://dogecoin.com/getting-started/ to help you get started, enjoy! +/u/dogetipbot 10 doge sorry if this is not a good explanation as I am only a day into Dogecoin.
SCAM!
Please shibe, download the current DOGECoin wallet here if that's what you're looking to accomplish (getting a wallet and starting your adventure to the moon!). If you need help with anything else, just PM me or reply to my post and I'll be back to help you in between doing some programming for finals, and if any of the others in this community happen to see this they'll be able to help here.
NOTE: This may NOT be a scam, but considering the redirect, and everything else involved, this site seems like a scam setup to me. Be VERY WARY of scams when it comes to cryptocurrencies--not only are these bastards clever, but they are extremely computer savvy on average, and their target is (generally) a very computer-savvy group of individuals, so they have to be good at what they do to be successful.
First things first you need to allow the blockchain to sync/download. when you open the dogecoin wallet program, you have to make sure that it has connected to nodes, and that the blockchain is syncing. There should be a progress bar of sorts at the bottom of the window. The easiest way to get around downloading the blockchain is to use one of the online doge wallets.
Check out the official guide on how to get started it will definitely help you out. http://dogecoin.com/get-started
Now if you are asking how to get started mining, reply to this with what kind of hardware you have or plan on getting.(gpu, cpu, etc..)

What OS? Not sure if needed, but I always install the AMD SDK files when setting up a rig with AMD cards. Did you installl those?
When in doubt, start from scratch. Use Display Driver Uninstaller from Safe Mode to fully remove all current drivers and registry settings. Then start over with the installation process making sure to get the current (non-Beta) drivers direct from AMD and the AMD SDK download. Perhaps it was just a faulty install the first time around.
Yep, you can get it here http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php.
I click "Exotics" and then "Show The Magic" and it gives you all the details you need to know. But if you find it is getting overheated, I'd suggest using the -t command and using 3 instead of 4 as mentioned above.
I was blindly following the guide here: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/a-full-guide-to-getting-started-with-mining-litecoin/
When I said that I "ran sudo" I meant simply that I typed "sudo" into the command line. It seems this allowed me to run as a superuser when I ran this command in BAMT. However, I had to also use "su" when trying to act as a superuser while accessing through SSH.
I don't really know what I'm talking about so I apologize if some of my terminology is wrong or if I'm operating under mistaken ideas.
When I run "ps ax | grep cgminer" I get 2 lines very similar to yours. So I think it's working OK now.
Hey here is the link with the information. I admit i struggled for many many hours in order to get this to work. I'd be happy to answer the questions i can, but I'm really a linux noob. I got this working on the latest kubuntu.

Use a good powered usb hub, dont potentially sacrifice your rPi.
not exactly sure what you are up to attaching fans to a rPi, not normal in my book.
rPi is 5v product, attaching fans doesnt sound good to me
I didn't try to undervolt to lower than 1,15V, maybe it is possible. This is the config I use which runs stable. With higher voltage I could even reach about 675kh/s but it's not worth it, because of more power consumption and decreased stability.

Same places you can get GPU's, for the most part. Same problem as with GPU's, though- no one has any in stock and anyone willing to sell is only willing because they're charging you 4x "normal" price. Here's a couple used ones (supposedly) that (again, supposedly) will get to you in a month or so.. but that's just with a quick google.
The important bit is to note that, even at that price, you're getting ~580Mh using ~800w for ~$2,000 compared to OP's GTX 1080 getting ~8Mh using ~180w for $1,000. 70x the hashrate, 1/20th the power/hashrate cost, 2x the initial out of pocket (not including the rest of the computer wrapped around the GTX 1080).

Just looked up the page, since I'm not familiar with it. The site puts your hashing power towards mining a different coin, and then exchanges it for the chosen coin. In your case, you selected DOGE.
Since your wallet is not synced you will not see the coins. However, you can search for your receiving address on the blockchain explorer, and can see the balance that should show up once your wallet gets fully synced:
You do you however I would tread very carefully with PhoenixMiner these days

Maybe your hash is amazing...maybe they got your wallet address and are waiting to pay themselves big time thanks to your awesome compute power!

You have to download a VPN virtual private network program and choose an IP address from an EU country or Asia. For some reason the US gov banned some crypto ops but I use Betfury and stake Tron there.
I use ProtonVPN.com its free and works well at connecting me to StormGain without that annoying message.

The GoldShell PSU is decent, but a server PSU with platinum efficiency and 16awg pcie cables is the best option. This one is my personal favorite. It can push 900 watts at 110V, which is enough to safely power 3 Mini Doges. Don't forget to get a quality surge protector like this Tripp Lite one (don't get the version with 2 outlets that plugs directly into the wall though) and take the circuit you're putting these on into consideration. Never run more wattage on a circuit than 80% of it's rated capacity (volts x amps)
when you use unmineable you are either running (ethash, etchash, or kawpow) your payouts are in whatever coin you select. I would lose the unmineable and go to a regular pool. find an ethereum pool and here are the calculator results...
I am going to treat this comment as 3 questions:
Yes it can be normal, it depends of many factors for example the number of people mining the currency, the reward for mining the currency, the USD value of the currency as well... If you are interested in getting more $ I suggest trying different currencies and see what work best for you, be aware that it can change quite a bit depending on the $ value of the reward.
This might be disappointing but if you are mining with a GPU the answer is yes very likely. If you are mining for $ be sure to compare the electricity cost and if you want hardware renewal cost to check for profitability. It profitability is below 0 it means it will be cheaper to buy the currency directly rather than mining it. Another factor to take into account is if you are mining while doing some other activities on the PC then this time the electricity cost will be a bit different.
In my country there is no exchange I can buy doge, there are a few limited crypto currencies available but DOGE or ADA for example are not available. As I would like to have some exposure on those currencies I am still mining to get some of these.
Note : to have an idea of your electricity cost you can visit :
My only suggestion is to use a 15A power cord, the amps should be on the plug. Make sure the circuit you are using is 15A or 20A. I checked the amps being pulled and got around 8.03 amps for 4 box miners.

Thanks so much for the response. I have EVGA Supernova 750 G+, 80 Plus Gold 750W, Fully Modular. The 24 pin cable was not attached to the unit. I attached it with 10 and 18 pin end to the power supply unit. It came with a power on tool in the box which I attached to 24 pin end. Now when I unplug 24 pin cable, the power supply and miner turns off. I think thats what you said that we need to keep it plugged in. if I am understanding it correctly. I kept it running all night though was afraid it might damage the miner thats why requested for your opinion before I keep it running further. I bought this https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0797HL9Z4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Yes, I attached 6+2 pin cable to the miner. I guess 2 pins are not required here.

Thanks again.
Sure thing - you have to make a DOS bootable USB. I followed these instructions.
I used the files provided by Crypto Mining Blog. They are at the end of the linked post.
Steps: 1) Make a backup of your original BIOS. GPUz has a little picture of a video card on the main tab that lets you do this. I made 2 versions to be EXTRA safe since I was planning to modify 1 of them.
2) Use Kepler BIOS Tweak (cryptominingblog link) to open the BIOS, and change only the TDP as shown on that same CMB page. Save this as something else so you don't overwrite your original BIOS file.
3) Make a bootable DOS USB stick using the above instructions.
4) Copy files to the stick. There are "flash" and "restore" .bat's in the nvflash package from CMB, but for simplicity's sake just copy your original and modified BIOS's, plus the nvflash.exe and the other one listed in the CMB package (it's called CDE1253.exe or something like that). You should have 4 files to add to the USB.
5) Restart your computer and boot from the USB - you may need to edit your computer's BIOS to add it to the boot order.
6) You will startup in DOS and need to navigate to where you stored the files on your USB stick.
7) Run nvflash using the following syntax: "nvflash yourmodifiedbios.rom"
8) Follow on-screen prompts. Your computer will take a minute or two to flash the GPU, then it will chirp and tell you you're done.
9) You'll have to ctrl-alt-delete to restart from here. Make sure to change the boot order back so that you start with your normal HDD.
That should be it - let me know how it goes!
If you were using dogecoin qt, I think you can just rename your current wallet (old-wallet.dat),
First shutdown the application.
Change your folder options to show hidden files and folders (control panel --> folder options --> view tab --> show hidden files and folders radio button).
Go to the folder C:\users\YOU\appdata\roaming\dogecoinqt\ - rename wallet.dat, don't delete it you might remember the password.
Open DogecoinQT
Its still possible to boot from USB. You put PloP on a cd or floppy. Heres a guide. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/16822/boot-from-a-usb-drive-even-if-your-bios-wont-let-you/
And then you can boot from the usb and install to ssd.
Edit: actually if you wanted you could just always leave the cd/floppy in and just run bamt from the usb. No need for ssd.
Sorry to nitpick but... 19) It's spelled Pi not Pie. Also you may want to consider adding this link.

Otherwise great job.
I used my Pi with some ASICs to mine bitcoin for a while. Just make sure that whatever you buy it has to do scrypt mining for doge coin.

Switch to multidoge. I've had problems on my Windows PC with the blockchain just murdering my CPU. I have this weird 3-core AMD thing in there, it's pretty anxious to shut down at the first sign of heat.
How am I supposed to set up my file? I keep getting an error.
Are there supposed to be spaces in it?
bfgminer --scrypt -o http://p2pool.org:22552 -u "my dogecoin addredss" -p "password provided"
Is this syntax technically correct (even if it is not what you personally use)?
minerd --url=http://p2pool.org:22552 --userpass=WALLETADDRESS:PASSWORD
It said on p2pool.org to make up a password so I did.
I really like eobot it's got Live earnings, you can mine with SHA-256, or Scrypt (Cheap Prices) they aren't contracts either, you just buy how much you want and also they take paypal! you can also mine like 12 Different coins (yes, and doge :P) It's one of the best sites I've ever seen.
I'd recommend https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp , mining scrypt-n here has been way better than any vtc only pools for me so far.
For those that haven't mined scrypt-n, your hashrate is roughly 50% of scrypt hash rate.
For ex, scrypt my gpus were running at 2.99Mhs, scrypt-n they're running at 1.44Mhs.. at .008BTC/Mh... Gpu mining still looks good
Personally, I use http://doge.hashfaster.com/ as my pool and mine using various video cards in different machines. The payouts aren't as grand as they once were, but I still enjoy doing it.
CudaMiner is my preferred mining software as nearly all my computers have Nvidia video cards. CGminer works for ATI cards.
Since I have no plan on USB mining, I can't really offer any advice.
Are you stuck on any particular part of the General Mining Guide? It can be a little overwhelming at first, but the first place to start is to set up a wallet so you can send/receive your doges. You can snag one here: http://dogecoin.com/
I use Dogecoin Core which takes like a bajillion hours to sync the first time.
Post if you get stuck or have more specific questions.
3 Asics mine the particular type of cryptography (D's scrpyt, Bitcoin's SHA-256, there's also X11/13), not a specific coin.
12 As long as your card is under 80C, you should be fine. Anything above 85C can damage your card. Also, can't stress this enough, please don't mine on a laptop. You'll drastically decrease the lifespan.
13 is pretty outdated. Here's an updated list. Try to stay away from the top 5 because we want the hashrate spread out as much as possible.
14/15 Your best bet would be the regular full wallet that is stored on your computer. You just need to add a password (Settings->Encrypt Wallet) and it's very safe. Just don't forget the password! Link
27 cgminer works on Linux as well. (Most people use Linux for dedicated miners because its free)

so the first thing you need to make sure you have is a backup of your current wallet. the .dat file. save that in a secure place. then go to http://dogecoin.com/ and download the 32 or 64 bit core wallet (depending on which computer you have. then make sure you install the new wallet in the same location as the old wallet file are.)
I place mine on my desktop so I have to change the location in the installation every time.
then since you you have an up to date wallet backup ".dat" file when you open the new wallet it should automatically upload that file. if you open the wallet and it start synchronize the wallet from the beginning (16 weeks, or something like that) then close the wallet you either installed in the wrong location of the new wallet did not find the backup file. so try to locate where the old wallet was installed and re install the new wallet; or alternatively place the back up file in the new installed wallet location.
First off, if you haven't already done so, sign up with a pool. As your hash rates will be low, it'll be your best bet to start mining. I'm not sure which is the best pool, but we'll use Dogechain as an example. Once registered with your pool of choice, you will need to create workers. These can have descriptive names, which makes things easier when you have multiple rigs.
Next, you'll need to download and extract cpuminer. Download the version for your OS (I'm assuming Windows) from the link in my previous post. Extract that to a folder on your desktop, or wherever is convenient for you. Now, create a batch script, or .bat file, so that you can simply open that and start mining, rather than typing everything out every time.
Using Dogechain as an example pool, we'll assume I've created a user name of CyanPeppa. As my processor is doing the mining, I'll name my worker i7_920. My password is super secret, so I'll use a dummy password. My command to start mining would be as follows:
minerd --url stratum+tcp://pool.dogechain.info:3333 --userpass CyanPeppa.i7_920:hunter2
Remember, it's your pool user name, dot, worker name, colon, password. If anything goes wrong with the initialization, it should let you know within the first couple minutes. Otherwise, sit back and wait for the dogecoins to start accumulating.
I'm hoping this will be enough information to get you going. If not, I'm sure one of us will help you out where needed. Good luck!
EDIT: Forgot to add; you will also need the Dogecoin wallet. In there, you will be able to create addresses so that you can receive coins. Dogecoins won't do much for you unless you have a way to receive them.
To address in order: 1. Mining terms seem to be addressed here: http://www.reddit.com/r/dogemining/comments/1yi1kl/noob_shibe_how_do_i_get_confirmedunconfirmed/ If you are unsatisfied, I can bring myself to explain it a different way.
You need a wallet downloaded and installed from http://dogecoin.com/ to acquire an address.
Correction: We are not mining bitcoins here :)
Once you start building up DOGE on a pool, you can get the funds auto-transferred to your personal doge wallet (on dogehouse, you can set that up on the 'edit account' page).
If you haven't downloaded a personal wallet yet, get it from http://dogecoin.com.
It took my computer 3-4 hours to downloaded the blockchain, it took forever to sync but eventually did. If I've had the wallet closed for 2-3 hours, it only takes 1-2 minutes to sync back up.

Late 2009 iMac with an amd 4850 mobility, I get ~60-70kh/s and keep it cool using http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Info/Macs-Fan-Control.shtml (windows bootcamp).
I don't leave it on just for mining because it's not cost effective, but if it's on anyways it mines as it doesn't affect normal usage performance.
I personally don't recommend it since the heat is more of a problem and the repairs to apple products are more expensive / difficult

They wanted $750, but eventually lowered it to $700 for 230 Gh/s plus $155 shipping to Canada. These are Avalon 2 units that I see on local Kijiji costing twice as much or more
Found the problem, posting it for science.
My PSU is an "EVGA Supernova NEX 1500 Classified"
It has an "Over Current Protection" function, which causes the PSU to shut down if its tripped. Four GPU's mining will do this, even if the total Khash is below what 3 cards would be doing at I19
This function can be disabled with the DIP switches on the backside of the PSU. First flip DIP #5 (the one under the printed label of DIP) then flip DIP #3 (the middle one obviously)
Note: Doing this will turn the PSU into a single rail power supply.

From a little searching on Google (I plan to get a riser too for a 2 GPU setup in the near future):
> The general rule is that if you wish to use more than 3 GPU's than you must either use powered risers or you must inject power into the PCI-E bus via this: http://www.evga.com/articles/00600/
> In our experience, for 3 graphics cards or less powered risers are not required. Anything more and they start to become very important in order to allow the video cards to draw power directly from the PSU, reducing the load on the motherboard as even motherboards with four 16x PCI-E slots are not designed to run 4 high end video cards at max load 24/7, without some modifications of course :)
It seems the general consensus is that if you're planning to use more than 3 GPUs in a single mining rig, you should use powered risers.
This will help with tuning - reddit guide - Usually it's just trial and error until you hit that sweet spot. I would guess you have 1 setting off that would give you a huge bump.
Use an OC program like this one - http://www.evga.com/precision/ - to control gpu load, fan speeds, and temps.
Get EVGA Precision X or similar and tweak the cooler to 100. It should help you out but long exposure to mine would always heat up the GPU.
Hope it helps! Remember, DOGES come and go but our games, are forever.
The best way I found to keep track of temperatures (at least for the video card) is to use MSI Afterburner (http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/download.htm) As for CPU, there are many tools to use, realtemp is a good one: (http://www.techpowerup.com/realtemp/)
Yes, you should be. How much of an OC is that? I am unfamiliar with the exact clocks of the 7950.
If there is no OC, the card is unstable. Did you undervolt it? Are you receiving artefacts in games? Running http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/fur/, do you see them?
Your settings are correct. But I'm stumped about you having a single cable going to the card.
Most if not all 280x has a dual power cable plug. (6+2 & 6 pin). If you already had made sure that all power cables are connected properly then I would suggest running furmark for a bit to see if your card is faulty before returning it.
You could use this to create a bootable usb drive. You can configure it to create some persistent storage. I thought about doing this today, but I went ahead and installed to an external hard drive because I wanted to hurry up and get my miner back up and running.
Edit: Actually I don't think that will work because the persistence is limited. So you would probably have to get your drivers and any other binaries installed when you install the OS.
If you remove the "verbose" option in the conf those should go away. Those aren't errors, they are just being displayed via the verbose command.
edit: also, you should make a .bat to start cgminer that looks something like this:
You need:
mobo
PSU
GPUs
usb stick for BAMT
RAM
pci riser cables (powered if you need more than 2)
This guide covers most of the steps to use bamt:
http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/a-full-guide-to-getting-started-with-mining-litecoin/
First couple of time I ran it I did use a monitor etc b/c I didn't know how to use ssh. And I believe that with windows you can use putty, which supposedly is easier than ssh.
What is the motherboard? Some require you to "short" the A1to B17 pins on the PCI-E 1x slot.
I have one older scavenged motherboard that I use and in order to recognize the cards in PCI-E 1x slot with risers, I had to get a little wire (leave the rubber jacket on the wire except for leaving about 4-5mm of bare wire exposed on the tips) and use that to short those pins. I used a little dab of hot glue to keep it fairly secure and not pop out when installing the riser.
what's the third card? Guessing your config has 3 values per line and you just cleared the one that we aren't talking about? Also, I just happened to have googled this for someone else a minute ago if you want to show more rows in your cmd window :-)

Hey, this didnt work but i found another solution, if someone is interested: http://superuser.com/questions/178692/how-does-one-manually-restart-graphics-drivers
But thank you for your answer anyways : )
I dont know much about monitoring, but I would give this a try. http://munin-monitoring.org/wiki/HowToMonitorWindows It is the same monitoring tool that is integrated with bamt, accesible through a browser though you may have to install WAMP or some sort of server software first.
I find it easiest to just install teamviewer, this allows you to remotely access your computer from any computer or smartphone, not only can you view the screen.. but you can also change settings remotely. It has saved my ass at times when my system crashed and I was miles away.
No problem! Great to hear, I have no plans of taking it down for now, the server rent is not that much, I'll probably reconsider if it becomes very popular and I have to upgrade to an expensive server. The server is a 1GB linode, easily upgradeable if needed.
The current server (not p2pool node) uptime is at 99 days atm. If p2pool is stable, there should hopefully be no issues with server being down.
I'm guessing you have a cable modem subscription, the 10.x.x.x IP is usually an internal one to the cable modem network, when I scan your 22550 port it says it's filtered:
nmap -p 22550 72.12.197.190 Starting Nmap 5.21 ( http://nmap.org ) at 2014-01-20 07:26 CET Nmap scan report for 72.12.197.190 Host is up (0.0042s latency). PORT STATE SERVICE 22550/tcp filtered unknown
Nmap done: 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 1.69 second
Nah, I used a completely different usb drive from the one in question to erase Mint16 and install Ubuntu on the HDD. I wouldn't be facing this problem if I chose a dual boot instead of erasing the old OS, but thats over with now.
I had the other flash drive which I was storing my music from my dead mac HDD and also my .dat files from various wallets. Vert is the only wallet I didn't install in Ubuntu, so unfortunately if I don't get this working, I've lost those few verts. When I ran dmesg in the Ubuntu terminal, it reads that there is a flash drive connected, but it must be corrupted because it doesn't pop up on the sidebar. It also isn't being read correctly in a windows computer, but I can see that it is hooked up through disk management, it just wont open.
Its only like 10 vert so I'm not too worried about that, but losing my music and schoolwork from the Mac is almost a bigger loss if I can't figure this out. Somebody recomended http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec in order to try and recover the data, but I'm going to wait until I get good information on a way to try and recover it.
I'm an asshole for not storing the .dats on more than one flash like is recomended, but I just didn't think I had anything to worry about with a name brand flash drive failing. This is a first for me.
Whoa, I haven't heard of EVGA shipping defective items. Make sure you return it, where did you buy it from? Amazon looks to be $5 cheaper than Newegg.
I bought Corsair RM1000 for $168.98 from Amazon the other day. The cable management pales in comparison to the EVGA version, but it was a great price. http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Series-80PLUS-Gold-Certified-Supply/dp/B00EB7UIZU/ref=sr_1_1/180-5546586-2761740?ie=UTF8&qid=1395250173&sr=8-1&keywords=1000w+corsair+rm

I posted in the middle of the night unfortunately and went to sleep shortly after, but now I can answer :-)
This is my second rig with 5x 280x. The first one with Vapor-X cards was running perfectly at thread-concurrency 8192. This rig however had Dual-X cards and the hashrate went up quite much when I used 8181 for TC.
I also used optimized scrypt kernel files. Here is the config of the Dual-X setup.
Config: http://pastebin.com/ms3Bn8Eu
Optimized bins: https://www.mediafire.com/?3bceb9zcoxydmz1
I don't really know how much you can get on the powercolor. But for the most people with a 280X this settings work much better:
My config:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://pool.pool:3333 -u worker -p pass --auto-fan --gpu-fan 50-85 --temp-cutoff 90 --temp-overheat 85 --temp-target 75 -I 13 -g 2 -w 256 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-engine 1080 --gpu-memclock 1500
Use my config and add this optimized scrypt kernel files to your cgminer folder: https://www.mediafire.com/?u51e55bz5y9e3is This should get you about 10-20kh/s more.
If everything is running smooth, you should undervolt your cards. I can recommend to change the voltage settings in the BIOS. Sounds scary first but it is REALLY easy and done in 15min. Just follow this tutorial: http://www.cryptobadger.com/2013/10/undervolting-in-linux-via-modified-bios/
I undervolted to 1130. If it's not stable with that, you should try a little bit higher vddc.
Temp target etc should be adjusted to the conditions where the miner is. I hope you can get better results!
Thanks for the tip :) The example in the you provided is java and not javascript sadly :/ Java in the browser requires the users to have the java plugin installed and people would get a big fat security warning if I used a java plugin sadly >_<. I did find something else based on websockets though, it requires a modern browser, but I'm gessing everyone on this forum should have that. So I'll probably try that out :)
02 June 2014 version release notes and change log.
Files for download from SourceForge can be found here.
you need something like this to trick the power supply into thinking there is a motherboard connected
you can also achieve the same thing by connecting two of the pins with a metal paperclip (ive seen this on youtube, but never done it

And some 6” ducting
Buy one PSU. This will come with all cables and the bypass since not going to a motherboard.
It'll have 4 VGA cables to go to the miners, but you can power only 3 boxes.

>What ethernet splitter do you recommend?
I use cheapy Amazon Ethernet switches
>Do you use a wall mounted shelf or a simple wire rack?
Wire rack and I personally use individual power supplies. It's worked out well because I've now started to move them into different parts of the house to balance the heat.
>Would these miners be better set up in a basement or a garage?
They do give off some heat, but the noise is actually low. I have some in a room we use daily and we don't even notice them tbh.
It's not bullshit...they're are doing so right now and have literally said as much.

Looks to be 1" padding/foam. Open wire shelving is a good option for the reasons you mention. We have a few dozen of these, but lower cost/size versions can be sourced as well.
Scott-
get the AC infinity 8" cloudline fan and fan simulator chips off amazon. Put the fan in a cooler with 8" insulated duct on the intake and optional on the exhaust. Get a 8" to 2x 4" intake fan shroud off of ebay.

stick one end out the window and zip tie the other end to the exhaust fans on the miner.
For a super duty extractor, add the blower motor that's probably in the "extras to buy with this item box (bathroom extractor fan)
This is what I use below. Nothing fancy and works great.

Buy another switch as a precaution. Also ... Do a ping from the machines to your pool. The L3's have a ping tool built in.
better off getting a computer power supply with motherboard adapter for cheaper and better. (above 600W) as they say.

was similar to this but a bit smaller. a few less panels and 2 batt.

Went for this, overlooked this aspect until now as we've had very little rain for the last 6 weeks here, its wierd
oh dude, that's expensive. the one i use on amazon is super cheap...
You can do some rough napkin math based on teh GPU, but the better way would be to get a Watt meter measuring device
And use that number since your as minimal as the others numbers are, they still aren't zero to run the other components.
i was referring to a DIY kit. you mount and connect everything, it can be run all by itself or integrated with your home grid. It's really not that difficult unless you cant climb a ladder.
Im not down with the companies who try and sell you their panels that FEED the grid, im more looking toward self sufficient power if needed, or augmented, whatever you call it. You might need an electrician to integrate to your home grid, still overall 1 Kw is huge. something like this. not endorsing im still shopping. https://smile.amazon.com/ECO-WORTHY-800-Watts-Solar-Panel/dp/B07C8ZYFNV/ref=sr\_1\_3?crid=6YO35YNR536M&dchild=1&keywords=1kw+solar+panel+kit+with+battery+and+inverter&qid=1620975459&sprefix=1kw+solar%2Caps%2C151&sr=8-3
two different animals as far im concerned.
Since we are on this topic ... what about an ASIC miner like this ... https://www.amazon.com/AntMiner-D3-19-3-Miner-INCLUDED/dp/B0785DK2CG/ref=sr_1_13?dchild=1&keywords=antminer&qid=1617827734&sr=8-13
How do I start researching what algorithms it supports ...
Can it DOGE via prohashing or an unmineable pool?
I've been looking at the 7970s between 700 and 780 kh/s in this comparison list. Found one on amazon for 416$ What do you think?
