Sounds interesting. I'm currently re-reading some of the McCaffrey's Pern series for the first time in almost 20 years, I'll have to give Wings of Fire a try after.
Your description reminds me of the Age of Fire series, which follows 4 siblings in their very different lives in the first 4 books, then the consequences of their meeting up to wrap up the series. I liked the series, and it was also recommended here on reddit :)
There actually is an animated version! The same artist made it :3

There are many more of these in my discord if you wanna check them out :D
> The LLVM logo is a stylized wyvern (a kind of dragon). Dragons have connotations of power, speed and intelligence, and can also be sleek, elegant, and modular (err, maybe not). In addition, there is a series of influential compiler books going back to 1977 which featured dragons on the cover.
By what I see on a quick amazon search, the ones on the 2nd pic are china copies. The originals got a little side wave in their tails and the tip of it is also a bit different.

If you get the china copies for cheap tehey're still ok.
Thank you so much! I'd love to share that info! The UV paints go on milky white, then dry clear or opaque white. I left my experience with them in a review, so please feel free to take a look at that for the in-depth rundown. Of course, if you have any questions for me, I'm happy to help any way I am able! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ADYDA3W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_D7G3091PKDRZ24V7PZQB?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Your 11yo is really talented! That looks awesome!
I have always had a fondness for Jessica Peffer's stuff, she is really good at breaking down all the different components (using shapes to get the hang of anatomy, color choice, shading tips, etc). She also went on to be the primary artist for a dragon game website called Flight Rising.

If I may shamelessly do a small bit of self promotion: I released my debut novel last year, which is inspired by books like Temeraire, the Dragonriders of Pern with my own vision and story.
People really seem to like the interaction between my main character and the dragon, so if any of you would like to take a chance on a unfamiliar author like myself, please feel free to have a look at Windcatcher and leave a review if you like.
It is currently on sale, but also available on KindleUnlimited.
