Just curious, what are the other games you're expecting? Elex is the only one I'm eagerly awaiting right now, so I'd love to know.
Anyway, I wouldn't trust the rumors overmuch. The main rule everyone repeats is to never buy from key resellers such as kinguin, as they often cause costs to the developer (since the keys tend to be bought using stolen credit cards).
If you don't want to support the monopoly, then I'd suggest going with GOG. I don't know where you've heard your rumors, but I've not heard a single bad thing about them, and they seem extremely lightweight in terms of distribution.
Another distributor you might want to consider is Green man gaming. They sell steam codes, but they're legitimate. Not sure about how much steam takes from 'em.
In the end, I don't think you'll find any digital distributor that isn't either a steam reseller or GOG. The third option with some games is buying directly from the publisher, but Elex doesn't seem to be doing that.
Zollverein coal mine is built on the same project as many other coal mines in Germany, although that particular one has been turned into a sightseeing place.
Hovever I do agree that as it has been mentioned that PB headquarters are located in Essen, they might be referring to that particular tower. Or, they just were inspired by that particular design.
Hi guys! With the recent awesome ELEX II trailer, I wanted to browse the Pirahna Bytes company website and found out the same, older website that didn't get enough love over the years. https://www.piranha-bytes.com/ What would make it more useful and make you come back?
I have tried to bring the most meaningful information to the homepage and make it immersive. It's all just to start the conversation.
How can I reach out to the right Piranha Bytes people?
Here's a mockup with the Our universe section partly interactive (hover each series) https://www.figma.com/proto/uXMfOPNgTYZRWjFUOKElCc/Piranha-Bytes?page-id=12%3A89&node-id=12%3A90&viewport=-1073%2C938%2C0.8467645049095154&scaling=min-zoom&starting-point-node-id=12%3A90
Yeah, I think it is. I am not from an English-speaking country, so I would really like other localizations to be as good... I hope that one day game devs will use the help of such localization teams like the one on https://alconost.com/en They are really good at it. Things would be so much better then...
I'd say no. I'm torn though. I play on PC, picked it up on GOG.com for under $20. I think right now it's on sale for about $17US. I haven't been playing long though, so I can't tell you how much it's potentially worth overall. I like exploring and I'm a sucker for punishment sometimes. So I'm having fun running around in places I shouldn't be and checking out the world. Reading reviews and talking to people, along with the few hours I've put in though, I wouldn't have picked up the game for $60.
I agree with the others, you should shop around some. There is a lot of content though, and seems like a lot of time can be put into the game if you enjoy it. That might make it a personal call on how much you are willing to spend.
They aren't so bad if you can catch one on sell, Amazon is selling a 1TB Samsung 860 Evo for $170, which is $0.17/gigabyte. Still not a small sum, but prices are getting better.
