We at Alconost usually recommend to set up continuous localization for projects with frequent content updates.
And we use professional translation management platforms to track updates in real-time, most frequently Crowdin or GitLocalize (for GitHub projects).
Such a cloud-based process is very simple and efficient:
You see, it's easy to manage and easy to discuss with the whole team on the project.
Klash of Kings, Next Stop, Streets of Rogue, Stellaries, and many more... We at Alconost had so much fun localizing those games.
Look, we at Alconost (professional translation and localization company) have collected top free sources to help other professionals dive deeper into localization topic.
Just have a look at this blog post:

Hope, it'll help. Cheers up :)
On our localization projects at Alconost translation memory is just paramount. So, no way....
Look, we at Alconost ALWAYS use terms/keywords extractor tools on our localization projects. And there're many of them that might fit your needs.
But what we NEVER do is that we don't rely on machine translation. In our experience, it's just in no way on a par with professional human translation.
Yes, we also put a star hear.
We at Alconost from time to time are using Memsorce TMS for our localization projects.
The good thing is all our translators and the clients' team can contribute there in the real time.
But we're working with the official version, it's prooved and trusted. Why not?
In the localization process the strings of code are submitted to localizers that usually use CAT tools to extract and localize the data needed. In our experience, the optimal workflow is set up with help of cloud platforms. Our favorite, for instance, is Crowdin. For projects with ongoing changes to the code a continuous localization workflow (again, in cloud) appears to be the best option.
Some more information on this approach is here, in case it's useful.
Awesome! Science fiction is becoming a reality. I wonder how they will determine cost of impressions and the number of international advertising views? :) Although, for sure such an ad attracts the eyes of everyone and it's Grand.
Good to know... Hope that they will not fail. Also, I would like the devs to outsource localization to such teams like https://alconost.com/en so that we will not have to wait for a patch... It would be so great I think!
Yeah, I think it is. I am not from an English-speaking country, so I would really like other localizations to be as good... I hope that one day game devs will use the help of such localization teams like the one on https://alconost.com/en They are really good at it. Things would be so much better then...
I don't like the localization too... I hope that they will fix it. I would really like that one day devs will give this job to third-party teams like https://alconost.com/en so that there will not be such problems in the future...
Hmm, a good localization is a very important part anyway... I have been developing a game lately too and I use the service from https://alconost.com/en in order to localize it to at least several languages. And imagine how difficult it is to localize such a game to 10-12 languages. So, it is great that they update it, I think....
Yep, localization is terrible sometimes... Do you think it is possible to make the devs redo it? I have just seen some works from the localization team on https://alconost.com/en and they might do it much better. What do you think?
Thanks for the thread! Maybe we can suggest a third-party localization group? For example, the guys from https://alconost.com/en I think they will manage to localize everything properly. What are your thoughts on it?
I don't like many localizations of Japanese games at all. I have seen some good ones from the company on https://alconost.com/en but all the official localizations are not that good at all... It is a huge problem I think
Hope it will be localized properly in the end. Why don't they hand this process to a third-party group if they can't do it themselves? There are some nice guys like https://alconost.com/en who can easily do this job fast and correctly... We'll see

I think we just need to do something with it, I hate such things... Maybe suggest a third-party localization group? For example, the guys from https://alconost.com/en will de a much better job, I am sure about it. What do you think?
