You can record for free with OBS. That's what I use. It can be a bit daunting to work with when you first open it up but there are guides online to help you out and plenty of info on reddit if you look around.
Twitch is good for streaming and YouTube is good for just uploading. Depends on what you're looking to do more of. Just uploading involves less setup but streaming can be way more fun. My fiance and I have done some of both with our channel, and we prefer uploading to YouTube but mostly because we like to edit things before putting it out there.
Editing software can get very expensive though and I don't know what to recommend for free (if there is anything). But Elite is one of those games that don't necessarily need much editing.
Edit: This is the guide we used to set up OBS on our machine. Might be a good place to start if you don't mind reading.
Edit 2: Congrats on the trip and safe return! I hope to make the journey one day soon but for now I'm sticking to local exploration. :)
From E:D FAQ
>In the repair screen, there is an option for Ship Integrity. What is it?
>
> Ship Integrity represents the overall wear and tear your ship has accrued whilst traversing the galaxy. It represents the over time stresses and strains put upon your ship, and requires a specific kind of engineering to diagnose and fix. If left unchecked, this will affect your ships overall hull strength.
>
>The cost of repairing your ships integrity is based on the size of the hull and the amount of wear, so keeping tabs on it is advised to avoid a large bill.
It is not part of the modules unfortunately. I agree that is silly, and a pain, to have it hidden like it is. It is not intuitive at all.
It was last in HIP 16538, as it says in the Galnet article about the disappearance:
>The Aegis-owned megaship triggered an attack by Thargoid vessels when it travelled from the Delphi system to HIP 16538 on the 20th of May.
I think it is a bug in server code or that servers are way too flimsy. Either way I consider it a bug in the system. Also I think it will plague us as long as there is "issues detected" sign in this page:

same goes for those FSD jump disconnects. As soon as more people starts playing, disconnects starts to happen more and more. and also failed scan transissions too. That is just my experience with these.
Maybe just go with black and orange? Like the ED theme? Something like this: http://paletton.com/#uid=10u0u0kmQ0aQ7BRqmDjCwrsBFgP
Or maybe this if you like blue: http://paletton.com/#uid=13A0u0kmQ0aQ7BRqmDjCwrsBFgP
I'd go with a black background and a few colors, no pastel colors.
Different colors. Use complementary colors. This is a useful tool for making color schemes: http://paletton.com/
Very strange, when I looked at it two minutes ago it had a black background, now it has a white one.
Yeah I think there is a hack for this, try this SpaceEngine :-
"SpaceEngine is a realistic virtual Universe you can explore on your computer. You can travel from star to star, from galaxy to galaxy, landing on any planet, moon, or asteroid with the ability to explore its alien landscape. You can alter the speed of time and observe any celestial phenomena you please. All transitions are completely seamless, and this virtual universe has a size of billions of light-years across and contains trillions upon trillions of planetary systems. The procedural generation is based on real scientific knowledge, so SpaceEngine depicts the universe the way it is thought to be by modern science. Real celestial objects are also present if you want to visit them, including the planets and moons of our Solar system, thousands of nearby stars with newly discovered exoplanets, and thousands of galaxies that are currently known."
Happy exploring, enjoy o7
This is just a single photo. But usually I use Hugin Panorama Editor. It's free and good! Bit of a learning curve but I know about stitching images together using control points (oh gods, do I know about that) so it wasn't hard for me. http://hugin.sourceforge.net/
- small planets tend to be the most interesting, with more extreme topography
- if you land at geo/bio sites, don't forget to use composition scanner for the codex entry. It's a useful database even if often forgotten
- if you wanna get places fast, get 1kly above/below the galactic plane and plot route with non-sequence stars and jet cone boost enabled
- running something that syncs with EDSM is good, I use EDDiscovery
- if you happen to scan a ring with good tritium hotspot overlap, submit it to TripN
- the Distant Worlds 2 expedition had some choice waypoints, including SagA*
- These days you don't need to cry over a lost SRV if you wanna drive it like a madman somewhere or base jump it... there are many carriers where you're going, and the DSSA I believe is all deployed in core sectors
repost since you wont get alert on my comment to the other dude.
