That is definitely unusual, and reminds me a lot of Spider Ball Python's "wobble." Does he wobble or look unsteady while moving around normally? Does he ever lose his grip while climbing your hands or on things in his enclosure? This is usually a strong sign of neuro disorders or illness, so I'd consult with a vet if possible. Make sure you're purifying his water with a water conditioner, and use calcium powder and nutritional supplements to ensure there are no vitamin deficiencies.
I really hope it's either an easy fix, or just a case of baby Nidhogg being a weird noodle. <3 Keep us posted!
My snake liked this hide a lot when she was younger. I put damped moss in it so it was a humid hide. She sometimes used it, but when she was in shed she would spend a lot of time in there, safe and because of the damped moss no reason to come out to stay hydrated (snakes become party blind in some part of the shed progress so they like to hide in that time). She has had perfect one piece sheds every time.
She kinda grew out of that humid hide so now i have this one. A bigger upgrade from the old one. She is very happy with it.
Morph market is probably your best bet. You're going to be out of luck for getting a hatchling at this point in time. Most of the ones available now are going to going to be yearlings or 6-7+ months old. But breeding season is kicking in. If you want to wait until May/June, there will be a large influx of hoggies on the market then.

I use Chlorhexidine as my cleaner. I buy it from amazon in a gallon jug. https://www.amazon.com/Chlorhexidine-Horses-Dogs-One-Gallon/dp/B000HHNZVW/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=chlorhexidine&qid=1611235408&sr=8-5
I think the ratio is 1 tablespoon per gallon of water so the stuff lasts forever. It does lose effectiveness after a couple weeks so you'll need to make a fresh batch from time to time.
I can't speak for that particular model, but I use these ones: https://www.amazon.com/Century-Thermostat-Controller-Germination-40-108%C3%82%C2%B0F/dp/B01I15S6OM They're cheap and reliable. The Jumpstart ones are good too but cost a smidge more. It's normal for the thermostat to turn on and off. The turning on and off is how it maintains the temperature. Heat mats don't have much of an effect on the ambient temperatures. If you need to get the ambient temp up, you'll need to either raise the temp of the actual room or put some heating lamps in.
It's from Amazon Germany, but no idea if it's available in other countries.
Looks like they are sold out here too. I got it for $120 Exo Terra Short All Glass Terrarium, 18 by 18 by 12-Inch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008N9LYJ6/ref=cm_sw_r_u_apa_i_JjmLFb5Z3T5KV?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Yeah that should definitely bring the humidity down a little bit, I just thought you could also try placing some dehumidifier boxes (like these: https://smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01C6V5IVG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_UldnFbKYSQZ6D) around the outside of the enclosure maybe? They're supposed to capture moisture from the air, filter it and deposit it in the bottom half of the box. I'm not sure if they would make a huge difference to the enclosure tbh, but I use them in my house and they seem to work decently!
You're thinking of basking lights. ~~Those work fine~~ (disregard this, they don't work fine. Snakes are sensitive to bright light.) but when the lights go off at night they lose their source of heat, not ideal lol.
CHE is a ceramic heat emitter. Here is an example, but do your research on wattage / dome sizing, they can get pretty hot. It's basically a wire that's coated in ceramic, it heats up and heats the air.
I've heard of the reptile carpet stuff but I have no experience with it. I've heard concerns of burrowing species getting stuck under it though, so I wouldn't risk it. A regular heat mat with a thermostat / prob should be fine. Remember, heat mat on the outside of the tank, temperature probe on the inside against the glass.
As far as the ambient temperature, that's a bit high. Hognoses have no problem being in 85F temperatures, but their ability to thermoregulate is going to be severely impacted if they only have a 5-10 degree window of temperature. You really want to get that cool side down to 80 at the most. But if you're not going to be in a large enclosure then I imagine it's going to be difficult to keep the cool side cool, even with an 80 degree ambient temperature you may struggle to keep the cool side under 85 in a smaller enclosure.
For reference, my ambient air temperature in my place is around 72F. My enclosure, which is 3ft x 2ft x 1.5ft has a cool side around 75F. So even the heating from 3ft away with a mesh top enclosure still has an impact on the cool side. That would be the biggest concern to me.
That's a lot of open space - even the hides don't really give him much place to hide, they are pretty open. I would try switching out the hides for something more enclosed (something like this https://www.amazon.com/Reptile-Secure-Gecko-Durable-Material/dp/B07T1XBLP8/) and adding more clutter.
It's a four foot grow light I found off Amazon. I'll put a link just in case your interested. The plants seem to be doing fine so I think it works.
Monios-L T5 LED Grow Light, 4FT... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QCT6Q4T?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
The uvb and heat lamps are not in yet so I don't know how I'll have all of them together but I'll figure it out
Tough to say. Initial tapering suggests female. But scale count and length suggest male.
Unsure of the scale but I've used this with good success on some of my hogs that had something similar. https://www.amazon.com/Vetericyn-Reptile-Antimicrobial-Non-Toxic-Lizards/dp/B01M4NTSKZ/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=3KFY8TLSWYCD6&keywords=vetericyn+reptile&qid=1656297300&sprefix=vetericyn+re%2Caps%2C137&sr=8-3
Spay on a few times a day.

get a thermostat. You can order one for plants that will be less expensive than one marketed to reptiles. You plug the mat into the thermostat, and set the max temp, then plug that into the wall.
I have 4 of these and they have been working well for over a year now. I check temps twice a week with a digital laser thermometer as well.
I’ve used these for my succulents and briefly had them on my tricolors tank… they have a timer for 6, 8, and 12 hours. It has high ratings but the adhesive they give isn’t very strong. The only reason I don’t still have them on my tank is because one of my plants was getting sunburn from them. Just make sure you get plants that can tolerate high sun and snakes falling on them. Many succulents are quite soft and easily apart!
I found there to be two types.
This is the one I do not like. It's a "nesting" version that has bigger, much harder pieces. I do not recommend it.
There is the regular version [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PBM6WHW](which I believe is this one) and readily available at PetSmart and other places in-store.
If you haven't taken your pet to the vet, I highly recommend that you do. Mine was occasionally opening his mouth to gasp which was what alerted me. He had had pneumonia and had to be on a couple medications. Between that and the bedding change, he has completely recovered.
Coco coir! I use this brand specifically: https://www.amazon.com/General-Hydroponics-CocoTek-Growing-Media/dp/B00U1V7NOO/ref=mp_s_a_1_13?crid=6KM51IE2RTHB&keywords=coco+coir&qid=1644271360&sprefix=coco+coir%2Caps%2C107&sr=8-13
Great for holding in humidity as long as the enclosure is well ventilated.

Of course! These are the ones I’d recommend from 1. Having them and 2. Recommendations from other people which you can get at pretty much any pet store 🤗
Sure thing, I use a ceramic heat bulb and have that plugged into a thermostat. It turns on the bulb when the temperature is below the set point (I think I have it set to 87F for day and 77F for night). I also have an extra digital thermometer in the tank just to double check and make sure that the thermostat is reading the correct temp but I haven't seen any issues yet. You could have the same setup with a heat mat but I went with the lamp.
I used these. 12 Pack Sticky Trap Fruit Fly and Fungus Gnat Trap Killer Indoor and Outdoor, Protect The Plant, Non-Toxic and Odorless https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088BJ22B9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_fabc_0Z8SBGTJC2Y7G6NSQ02S?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Dehumidifier didn't really do much for me, maybe a few percent. What really helped were these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IJ2J2K0/
They're little electronics fans that help circulate the air better.
Also getting the better adapter really does make them work better (faster). https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01G47U2Z0/
You can get the metal shelving the other commenter mentioned from Amazon. It’s relatively cheap, just make sure you check the reviews and confirm how much weight it can hold.
I’ve had this one saved for a while but I’m not sure it’s big enough for a 40 gallon. Shouldn’t be hard to find the right size though.
The lamp is the main source of heat, but I also have this set to 75° but it very rarely turns on with our house thermostat set for 74° and this particular room running a little warmer than the rest of the house.
Well, the thing is. The temperature gun is measuring the ground/a surface. The other one is measuring the air. And your thermostat is also measuring the air. So thats why it can be different, but i recommend buying a digital thermometer those are more accurate than the sticky ones. I have this one, its measures 2 points. So you can see how warm te air is on the hot side as well as on the cold side. And i keep a temperature gun to check the surface heat sometimes.
Do you mean something like these? Sorry, just a tad confused if what you're using is reptile specific or something to buy at the hardware store. https://www.amazon.com/Exo-Terra-Sun-Glo-Daylight-Halogen/dp/B0002DIB1U/ref=sr_1_13?dchild=1&keywords=39w%2Bhalogen%2Breptile%2Bbulb&qid=1596555781&sr=8-13&th=1 or https://www.amazon.com/Zilla-Reptile-Habitat-Lighting-Terrarium/dp/B009GHI32K/ref=sr_1_15?dchild=1&keywords=39w+halogen+reptile+bulb&qid=1596555781&sr=8-15
Ok, there are lots of good heat pads on Amazon. Not sticky or sticky
Of course, take good care of husbandry, once you do you’ll feel more at peace lol. Take it from me, I was in a panic because my thermostat was coming late and it was getting too hot below the substrate. Feels good now to have a thermostat handling things for me.
Here’s the links to what I have, good luck:

Sorry kept thinking of more stuff to tell you. Make sure your thermometer is near the heat of your heat pad so that it doesn't get to hot. There is a thermometer that can turn off your heat pad so it stays at a certain temp, This is my current one. You just plug your heater into this device and the device is plugged into your power source, then if your heat pad spikes for some reason it will turn off.
