Heard a rumor that the annexation amendment passed. Thanks Lansing, for believing we can do better.
Now to annex in the sliver of Delta Township to the north. Which will have the side benefit of finally closing down the illegal gambling happening at 3280 Waverly Road, Suite D (look for the Open sign, in the blacked out window).

As an 18 year resident of the Lansing-Eaton neighborhood, I am in favor of annexing the jagged edges of Detla Township into the City of Lansing.

Perhaps, not for the reasons of this particular proposal. However, these ribbons of Delta Township do not receive the love that they should. Some might call them neglected, or at least over-looked.

There is also the confusion which these non-contiguous boundaries cause. It is difficult to quickly determine jurisdiction, particularly in an emergency. Nearly every call I have ever made to 911 or the police non-emergency number has required some educating of the call center operator to the fact that I live within the City of Lansing, not Delta Township.
Hello, I'm a bot! The movie you linked is called Mazes and Monsters, here's some Trailers
I remember feeling this way when I was your age. I was on Match.com for a while and met a lot of duds. I attempted eHarmony, only to fill out their super-long "guaranteed" match form" to find out there were "no matches" for me within 50-miles. Talk about a self-esteem builder. I decided at this time that I was going to take a break from dating and throw myself into some volunteer opportunities. I joined the Lansing Jaycees and met a lot of new friends. When I wasn't expecting to meet someone, I ended up meeting my now husband (we've been together for 16 years, married 13). I was a part of a website call AllMSU which was created for MSU students along the lines of Craigslist. Both my husband and I were attending MSU but being there were 44,000 people on campus at that time and we had different majors, we hadn't met just yet.
I can completely emphasize with your frustration. And the pandemic certainly hasn't helped any. Give yourself some grace. The right person is out there for you.
I've been very pleased with this setup from Smiths https://www.amazon.com/Smiths-50594-Diamond-Precision-Sharpening/dp/B00VTO5MOK/ref=asc_df_B00VTO5MOK/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312003160272&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=14857933225312882103&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=...
Like the local guy too though! Peace
I'll second meetup.com. I just took a look at the event calendar, and there are WAY more events than there were a couple of years ago, and it looks like there's quite a bit that lines up with OP's interests.
I'm looking at one of these and may just give it a try. I don't have an easy way to get a kayak to and from the river so inflatable is preferred, but could be a big mistake lol.
I highly, highly recommend not renting Comcast's equipment. You can spent $100 up front and save the $14/month. Buy the modem below and any wifi router from Best Buy, download the Comcast app, and go through the 2 minute setup process.
All for supporting FBC, but if you’re looking to listen to something you can’t find on CD, look at something like this. I’ve had this one for over five years and it works great.
Oh wow. These are all really good tips, thank you so much for this wealth of information! Some of this stuff I didn't consider at all like the personal alarm. Haha.
But yeah I think if I'm going to incorporate my bike into my lifestyle, I want to be as safe as possible and properly do it y'know?
As for reflective wear, I was thinking more along the lines of a cleverhood. It's subtle and not super garish like wearing neon clothes but has a reflective thread for added visibility + protecting me from the Michigan elements.
Another thing for security I was thinking about getting was these air tag reflector mounts so I can hide one of the air tags I will attach to my bike in plain sight.
I'm reeeally paranoid about theft haha.
The best part of going all out though and buying this is that it still nowhere even comes close to the cost of car ownership so I'm happy. Plus I'm excited for the inevitable health benefits.
But yeah thank you for your ramble :) I'm probably going to get black though I'm torn between the two. I get black everything and while I like the white, every time I deviate I end up regretting it lol.
Reminds me of the book, “City in the Forest: The Story of Lansing” by Burt Darling
I suggest you invest a few sheckles in this. It's extendable and makes it super easy to clear your car. $100 is reasonable to have someone run cabling, honestly probably on the cheap end. I honestly wouldn't trust the ISP or Geek Squad to do it right, you'll want a low voltage cabling specialist. If you want it going through the walls, you can do it yourself but you'll have to know what you're doing. It's going to require you installing a service box at two points in the wall with a wall plate and female keystones on either end. You will wire the cable B style into the keystone to terminate after you've got the cable positioned properly in the wall. You can watch some videos on YouTube to know what to do. Monoprice will sell you all the hardware from cable to keystone as well as the tools you would need. They've also got some good instructional videos out there. I'd offer to help, but for money, because it's a job someone does. Nobody is going to do it for free, except you. Hiring someone to do this might cost less than some of the good quality tools they would use. If you don't want to pay or learn how to do this, and you don't want to lay a cable on the ground or use wifi, you might have luck with a Ethernet power line adapter which basically sends the data over electrical cable. In my experience, it's not as good as a dedicated data drop and you probably won't get the full "up to" speed advertised with the device since it's wholly dependent on the existing wiring which often isn't optimal.
I used meetup.com to find places to meet people with similar interests. I'm also very active in the local arts scene, especially the Mid Michigan Art Guild (a very welcoming group of people).
There are quite a few parks in the area that people bring their dogs to! During spring, the River trail is fantastic to bike down (although you might not meet people here). There are also various book clubs in the area. I would definitely recommend meetup.com as another redditor recommended.
From what I have read it is delivery only. https://www.grubhub.com/restaurant/mrbeast-burger-2970-town-centre-blvd-lansing/2437523#:~:text=MrBeast%20Burger%20Delivery%20%2D%202970%20Town%20Centre%20Blvd%20Lansing

Just wanted to share a link to a survey to find times for a virtual group chat for people in Lansing interested in making new friends.
Very sorry about your situation..
Here is a treatment you can spread in the corners of the base boards close to living quarters.
https://www.amazon.com/Rockwell-CimeXa-Insecticide-Dust-bottles/dp/B00FHNAFHI
Be careful with this as it will dry your skin out and it's likely poisonous to you.
Do the bed post cups too.
Then consider, spraying this ( read the directions; don't spread on surfaces of furtinute you sit directly on).
https://www.amazon.com/Temprid-SC-Insecticide-400ml-BA1015/dp/B004HD19N8
It is difficult to cure, heat treatment is the only sure fire way.. depending on your infestation level you could try the above and see how it goes..
I'd research more though, but I think you'll find this information useful.
Sadly I don’t which is the biggest reason for not having made more. I do still have the book I used, which I found invaluable.

I promise that I'm not trying to preach here, but the place where I get my liquid - Mister E, which has a shop in Okemos - closed down entirely with the shelter in place order. That meant no going to the store and no online orders. I've tried other liquids and they didn't really compare, so I ordered these lozenges from Amazon and decided to try quitting.
It's been a little over a week and aside from the first couple of days, it's honestly been easier than I was expecting. If you follow the regimen they lay out in the instructions, it's a 12 week course where you wean yourself off the lozenges slowly, so you don't have to worry about going from vaping to zero nicotine overnight.
It's something to consider if you're having a hard time finding liquid and coils, because I didn't think I was ready to quit either and now I'm full steam ahead. I'm actually really excited.

this one I think. It used to be 5-0 radio I think but it changed.
Buy a Lansky sharpening system on amazon, along with a super c clamp (also Lansky), and have sharp knives for life. http://www.amazon.com/Lansky-Standard-Coarse-Sharpening-System/dp/B000B8L6LI
Razor sharp.
For local channels in East Lansing, you don't need amplification or an extremely directional antenna. I'm near College and Dell and pick up Grand Rapids stations without amplification from a roof mounted directional antenna.
Look at the RCA ANT751R antenna. It comes with a mast and is affordable.

www.tvfool.com is a good resource for antenna TV.
