I have also just ordered a new MBA m1 and have not had the chance to test out usbc hubs yet, but I would stick to a well known name brand as I have heard some cases (not super common, but they are out there) that some power delivery hubs that are no name are bricking the laptops. A power delivery hub is essentially just a hub that has its own power source (aka your laptop charger in most cases) that will also charge your laptop. I personally ordered an anker that did not include power delivery (so it draws power from the laptop) and plan on just charging it through the other usbc port just to be safe, but that’s just me.
Deal: Anker USB C Hub Adapter, 5-in-1 USB C Adapter with 4K USB C to HDMI, Ethernet Port, 3 USB 3.0 Ports, for MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, XPS, Pixelbook, and More https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X8ZLYLR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_dlT4_YvobGb7TDSX6C
As with the two usbc ports, either can be used for charging, they are essentially the same as far as I know. Hope that helps and good luck!!
Yes it works. On my MacBook (Intel) I even use the trackpad for e.g. Blender to 3d rotate, zoom, pan and the mouse for tweaking at same time. Well use the trackpad for a while, and see if you can get used to it. It's built in anyway, you can't ditch it :) . You can always buy an additional small BT Mouse.
There is also a tool called BetterTouchTools for macOS, there you can configure more advanced Trackpad gestures, in case you want https://folivora.ai/
I got an incase hardshell case and a Thule sleeve.
It's fully protected when in use and when I carry it

If you want to save some money over the caldigit, Anker has a couple nice ones. I bought this one back in February and it’s been flawless.

It happens to me aaaaaall the time. Spilt coffee on my second Air, had to buy a new one. Came back to the office a year later, previous Air still worked :O . I've spilt water on my second Air like three times. None so far with the M1, but it's only been two months since I got it. This is why I always have a keyboard cover that I can take off and wash, and put back on the laptop. Here's something like what I've got:
Hope your laptop is OK!
I've had good luck replacing old macbook air batteries on 3 of our older devices with amazon replacements. Here's the one I used all 3 times:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DMDH64O/
Showed as a higher rating than the original battery, and all have lasted just fine. YMMV, but a $129 apple replacement seems like a rip-off.
It is a productivity app that amongst other things, allows you to search your Mac and the web, launch apps and so much more. I’ve been using it for quite some time but barely scratched the surface of what it can do. You can extend its functionality with the powerpack which I believe is a paid add on. However the core app is free to use. Have a look here for more info: https://www.Alfredapp.com
Edit: correct url.
Help there,
The new 2018 MacBook Air can support one 5k external display.
As far as Xcode goes, Xcode only needs 4gb of ram for it to work but the more ram the better. You will never need 32gb of ram for Xcode unless your building and testing VR games at once.
The biggest thing you should be considering is screen real estate, Xcode has a lot going on screen wise you should visit an Apple store and see how Xcode looks on a 13” vs 15”
I bought this MOCA 360° Protective Sleeve Sleeves Carry Case Bags Bag for 13 inch Laptop MacBook Air Pro 13 inch M1 A2337 A2179 A1932, M1 A2338 A2159 A1989 A1706 A1708 A2251 A2289 MacBook Laptop Sleeve Sleeves Bag https://www.amazon.in/dp/B07S4BP2TL/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_2NQ6A0CKX41FVJ7J0WGE
Features: 1. It is padded from all the sides. 2. It has cuaion with foam dots that are elevated from the inside to provide more protection. 3. It is waterproof It looks great
P.S go for 13 inch variant for MacBook Air/Pro M1 and not 13.3 inch variant because the 13.3 inch sleeve is quite big.
For the most part you really can't do much to protect them while they're in use. You can use thin skins for the exterior but that's about it. Any more than that on the exterior is likely to cause thermal issues since the machine uses the aluminum body as a heat sink.
In fact just about everything you mentioned is known to damage the laptop instead of protect it. I mentioned the issue with the hardshell case and heat but putting anything inside the pid of the machine is more strongly ill advised as it will likely break the display, which is well known for being just about the most delicate in the industry.
I've had one since shortly after release and been fine though. As long you are gentle with the machine you'll be fine. Don't throw the machine around, and make sure you're closing the lid from the center of the display, since it's theorized that added stress on the display from closing it from the side may be the cause of the display cracking issues that a lot of users have experienced.
Below I've left a link to the sleeve that i have, which i use in conjunction to a regular laptop bag. The sleeve i have is not the end all be all. Like if it isnt your style then get a different one, but the sentiment is the same. Keep it in a sleeve, in a bag.
I'm sorry i don't have any reccomendations for india. I looked on amazon for my go to and i didn't see it.
I use this guy https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08B6CZ29Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_D1RRCVKGRMW49QAB35PJ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 paired with DisplayLink drivers. Able to run multiple monitors at once. Doesn’t run power trough it
There are two that come to mind with additional corner protection:
https://www.amazon.ca/ProCase-MacBook-Release-Protective-Kickstand/dp/B088GW68YN
And https://www.amazon.ca/SUPCASE-Unicorn-Designed-MacBook-Rubberized/dp/B0899PRG9N
Once our offices open again I will go for the SupCase.
Your other option is to put a decal on it to prevent scratches, but it will still dent.
I always like the honeycomb look.
Maybe your screen is just getting a little dirty? Oil from your fingers can transfer to your trackpad and keyboard and then onto the screen because of how close the screens sit against the keyboard deck when it's closed. Have you tried just cleaning it? Some say a very slightly damp microfiber cloth does the trick. I use these screen wipes:
I can't see the external clearly. If it is a micro b you can try something like this
I'm getting one for my external.
I’ve linked mine below. It works well and protects my laptop sufficiently. Honestly the only complaint I have from it is that it opens vertically lol.
I would like the same thing as you except I carry mine horizontally in a briefcase.
You can definely get a 2k or 4k monitor in that price range
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08G8SH4QJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_VBA0G5TM3RBHME44RV3D?psc=1
Or
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DP756Z3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_JGGVFKG2MMFWP419GKJ9?psc=1
Luckily I don't get any headaches with my 1080p monitor so I'm going to hold out until I can purchase a 2k or 4k monitor.
32UN500 should be capable of 60hz. Are you connecting through a hub? What cable are you using? It sounds like you're connecting via hdmi. That monitor supports hdmi 2.0 and displayport 1.4. The displayport 1.4 is a much better technology. HDMI 2.0 will just barely eek out 4k60hz and thats assuming you have a good hdmi 2.0 cable. First thing I would do is buy a really good usb-c to displayport cable - This one would work well: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01J6DT070 .
Not a sleeve, but if you ever consider a bag/case, I got this one for myself and I love it. It fits everything I need and also has a cloth “sleeve” to make sure laptop gets no scratches https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076Q5S4WV?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Figured I’d share :)
I'm currently on this, nice & simple with a little storage at the front.

I will say it is slightly bigger then the MBA (only slightly) but is well padded out & I can't see I feel it moving about in the case.
This is the one I'm getting
Highly recommend this one by Mosiso; the Air fits perfectly inside and the zipper is big enough to carry the power cable/block without adding too much bulk. Plus it’s got multiple color options if you have a preference. Had it since January and I’ve no complaints
I bought this (https://www.amazon.com/tomtoc-Protective-13-inch-Notebook-Accessory/dp/B01N590YOT/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=M1+Macbook+Air+sleeve&qid=1624914230&sr=8-3) for when my M1 MBA arrives in a few weeks, so far it seems pretty protective for just putting it into a bag. There's another pocket for chargers/accessories/airpods/etc. I personally would rather use a sleeve or protective bag than a skin.
I would recommend get a dongle or hub if you have multiple USB devices like keyboard, mouse, external hard drives and etc. The two USB-c slot is definitely not enough and one is going to be occupied with power.
If you are looking to use this with one or more monitors, or need a single source where you can manage to charge all other devices connected, think of getting a docking station that can support multiple 4K through HDMI/DP. They can be pretty expensive so it really depends on your use case. I got Caldigit TS3, but there are many other options out there like Dell and so on. Just do some research as I heard ominous claims about powered docks frying the MacBooks circuits.
Hard-case shell is a must for me. I had a MacBook Pro many years ago that had a hard-case and it protected that beautiful exterior from scratches and other nastiness. I am currently using this hard-case shell at the moment and no complains. That keyboard skin cover is a joke though. I threw out soon as I got it.

If you are not using external keyboard, beware that if you don't keep your keyboard clean, it will leave residue from your fingers and smudges on your monitor. Keyboard skin didn't really fix this when I had it so I just simply resorted to using external keyboard to avoid dirtying up.
I bought my m1 mba on the 27th May, felt the same, ordered https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Waterproof-Protective-Compatible-Microsoft/dp/B07SQTTPWD and its actually great, no scratches, feels great to hold. Also in the market for some accessories, will be keeping an eye out for what you decide to grab :D
Anker makes some good docks and chargers.
Just use a keyboard cover on it. It might be hard to get used to it at first, but then you'll get used to it. You just take it off and wash/clean every week. Plus, if you're as clumsy as I am, you'd probably want one in case you spill liquids on the computer. (It's happened to me around four times.)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076M5316D/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_NHCHTK9PYQY6RSC6X5DF
According to this article by Apple Support (Connect a VGA display or projector: Use a USB-C VGA Multiport Adapter to connect the display or projector to a Thunderbolt / USB 4 port on your MacBook Air.)
You don't have to use the USB-C VGA Multiport Adapter, as the MacBook Air is not limited to only Apple adaptors.
This is a USB-C to VGA adaptor you can use as well! https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-MOKiN-MacBook-Samsung-Surface/dp/B0785PLLCH/ref=sr_1_4?crid=2EVN05Q18XLJM&dchild=1&keywords=usb+c+to+vga+adapter&qid=1618509021&sprefix=usb+c+to+vga%2Caps%2C191&sr=8-4
The resolution of the monitor depends on what resolution settings are available.
You can search Reddit if anyone had any issues regarding VGA monitors.
I got these cables
Right Angle USB C Extension Cable 0.2M 2-Pack,UseBean USB-C 3.1 Gen2 10Gbps Male to Female 4K Video Cord,Thunderbolt 3 Compatible for iPhone 12 Pro Mini Max,MacBook Pro/Air,iPad Pro 2020,Surface Go https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08G84QFWK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_LuzaGbDFWXE5D?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Only got a hard drive connected at the minute but want a monitor in the future , so it’s already to go.
I bought the one that has a keyboard cover, but no screen protector. It says compatible with 2020, 2019, 2018. And also mention m1. Fits great for me. It is 15.99 with no screen protector right now. I got the black one. Mosiso case I bought
I use the following. Nice padded area for the MBA. along with a side storage compartment that fits several items I carry regularly.
My charger, an external ssd, USB c hub, iPhone charging cable and my Magic Mouse.
https://www.amazon.ca/tomtoc-Protective-Carrying-Ultrabook-Accessory/dp/B073TW3Y7R
Here’s one from amazon
I got this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VMXF5W6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s03?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Fits perfectly and has a good leather feel to it. I bought 6 of them to compare, and returned the 5 that didn't make the cut - all from amazon.
Thanks for the clarification. I am using USB-C to USB-C connection (although have also tried USB-C to HDMI) and only connecting one monitor.

Resolution: 3440 x 1440 Pixels
Refresh Rate: 60 Hz

This is the monitor in question
AppleCare+ only covers accidental damage, not AppleCare. You can still try your luck since the worst case is them just rejecting your claim.
You can wait a couple of years until the battery drops below 80% and have them replace the battery, they usually also replace the bottom housing because it's glued onto the battery.
I personally would buy [this](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B8D68GKX) and call it a day
Amazon currently has the M2 Air for $999
The M1 Air is $799.
The 16GB config is a made-to-order option. You most likely wont find retail stores having stock of anything other than base models.
https://www.amazon.com.au/Thule-Gauntlet-MacBook-Retina-3203098/dp/B00R8KA2P8
This is a bit expensive, but I've had mine for 2 months and it feels extremely well made. It's made in such a way that the laptop can sit in it even while working.
I bought one just to protect it from getting scratched up while carrying and am happy that I did. Especially in a backpack with other belongings in it. Here’s the link for the one on amazon. https://www.amazon.ca/HoYiXi-Leather-Compatible-2022-2018-2022-2016/dp/B0B1QFW23Y/ref=mp_s_a_1_63?crid=3JKXNS6LF6A2P&keywords=macbook+m2+sleeve&qid=1670480140&sprefix=macbook+m2+sleeve+%2Caps%2C176&sr=8-63
I plan to get one of these in the near future for my M1 Air and my Dell as well as several of these for all my other USB-C stuff.
Go to amazon, and search for Apple SSD Adapter. First one that comes up for me is this one, and it appears that it will do the job. Then you need any standard M.2 NVME SSD, like this one. Brand names like Samsung are a bit pricier, lesser known names can be quite a bit cheaper. In reality, literally any one that you can buy right now will be as fast or faster than the original Apple one that was put in your 2015 Mac 7 years ago.
For awhile there was a company called Fledging that would sell upgraded SSDs for these macs (here's a link to the old store page), and they worked great. I have two of them running right now, a 1TB in a 2013 MBP, and a 2TB in a 2014 MBA. I'm told that if I were to rip off the covering on the board, it would actually consist of an adapter plugged in to a more standard ssd, but regardless, they work fine. It looks like OWC is still selling SSD's that might fit the bill (here's one link on Amazon, but go into the OWC store there on Amazon to see all of the options). $149 for 1TB seems pretty reasonable, though it would still be a little cheaper to get a $10 adapter and $100 for a name brand 1TB SSD.

I got this a year ago and it's been holding up pretty well. Hope this is useful for you. Nice colour btw!
I currently use my M1 MBA with a 1440p 165Hz ASUS monitor, and I'm taking full advantage of it. You'll need to grab a USB-C to DisplayPort cable, as a USB-C to HDMI won't let you run your monitor at 144Hz. I've been using this cable for around 5 months and have had 0 issues. There are plenty of similar cables, just make sure that they are able to run 4K @ 60Hz / 2K @ 165Hz. That is what you should be looking for in the cable description, as well as it being Thunderbolt 3 (minimum). Hopefully that helps.
Love my woolnut. Primo sleeve. Perfectly snug and svelte. Horrible name, great sleeve. I mean nut wool might have even been better but now im just rambling. I got the black leather. nice pebble texture in the leather.
Just buy a multi-tip screwdriver. Lots on Amazon. Here is one I bought: https://www.amazon.com/ELECKING-Multi-Bit-Precision-Screwdriver-Electronics/dp/B08S73MJG3/ref=sr_1_4?crid=2QO8J9LO24KR5&keywords=ELECKING+10+in+1+Multi-Bit+Precision+Screwdriver+Set&qid=1669212384&s=hi&sprefix=elecking+10+in+1+multi-bit+precision+screwdriver+set%2Ctools%2C67&sr=1-4
Despite the low price, it is reasonably good quality.
I got this one from Amazon. $15. It fits perfectly and the blue matches the laptop nice. I highly recommend.
I would feel more comfortable putting the M1 or M2 Air in a sleeve and leaving the computer on for extended periods of time without worrying about overheating or even getting a touch warm.
This is the sleeve I bought. I no longer use it as I bought a travel bag that fits my PC and my M1 Air along with all the stuff I would need for both.
If the intent is to bring it with you in your travels, a sleeve would be just fine.
I used to do that with mine until I bought an over-the-shoulder bag that fits my Dell, the MBA, and my iPad along with the accessories I would need for each. When I travel by air I carry the Dell and MBA in something similar to this as it is big enough to fit both and be compact for travel.
Lens cleaning wipes contain water, isopropyl alcohol, proprietary detergents, and preservatives. I'm not sure on what the last two consist of, maybe it's a closely guarded trade secret that make up the final product that is Zeiss Lens Wipes.
If you've got a particularly dirty screen, I would gently use one of those wipes, then use a microfiber towel that is slightly dampened with water, followed by a dry microfiber towel.
Most times if it's just fingerprints that can easily be removed just use a dry microfiber towel.
Not sure why you're downvoted. I've protected all my Airs this way and they're all (2010, 2012, 2020 Intel retina) still immaculate. I use ShaggyMax for the older ones and a very thin microfiber for the retinas: UPPERCASE GhostBlanket Screen... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PPPY1LV
If its dead pixels you should probably get your laptop replaced but if you just need to clean your screen I’d recommend this[WHOOSH! Screen Cleaner Kit - Best... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WCH5JTT?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share]
I just got the Woolnut sleeve for my macbook air m2 and it fits like a glove. Nice and thin, but still offers the exact amount of protection I was looking for. When I say it fits like a glove, i mean its snug and extends just barely past the end of the M2, on the open side. Great sleeve.
I would stick to reputable brands like Anker. Make sure the HDMI has 4K@60Hz if you need it, because a lot of these hubs I notice only have 4K@30Hz HDMI.
If you're ok with 4K@30Hz, because you're only connecting to 1080p displays, for example, then something like this is tad cheaper and thinner.
I use this monitor on my machine, and you can do dual inputs to show two machines at one time if you want. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08P9RJ1X7/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_search\_asin\_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
As long as it's not the screen or the keyboard, and it sounds like it isn't, it might be high time to try something a little more powerful. Try lens cleaning wipes, which are also available at Dollar Tree for $1.25 for a dozen and about $6 from Walmart; I got a box of 220 for $10 from BJs Wholesale Club. If that doesn't work, use Goo Gone or a similar adhesive remove, which you can get at Walmart or your local supermarket. Do not use it liberally, you may only need a small amount to get rid of it.
If either works, fantastic. Wipe down the area again with water and a microfiber cloth or towel. If not, I'm sure others have ideas.
Congratulations for getting the Macbook. I got mine in the same month it released and its working fantastic.
I would personally not recommend the screen guard as there is hardly any space once you shut the lid. Rather you can wipe the screen with microfiber cloth. If you still want one go with Spigen one.
For laptop sleeve i am using this : MOCA 13 Inch Laptop Carrying Sleeve Bag
Although i am not using any case but Spigen Cases are pretty good : Spigen Premium Hardcase for Macbook Air
Serial number is unique to the laptop and different from the Model number (A1466) Use a Wall power adapter to turn it on to check the specs. Apple menu - About this Mac. www.macbookadapter.com
I got a battery for mine from Amazon. Worked totally fine. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SDBKDDK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
Check out MacSales.com for upgrades and Everymac.com for other information.
I've been using Woolnut's leather sleeve for the last few weeks, and I'm happy with it so far. It also functions as a desk pad to place your MacBook while using.
I use the Anker 575 without issue. They also have a few other models, including a few Thunderbolt ones. Might give some sticker shock but quality docks tend to be pricy.
I have this four-port USB-C hub in my laptop bag for everyday use, and I've been using it for years (since I moved to TB3/USB-C only Macs). It has dual USB-C ports on one side, and dual USB-A ports on the other.
I'm traveling very light and needed a protective sleeve that wouldn't make the whole setup too bulky.
For this I went with the incase ICON sleeve for my M2 MBA (it fits perfectly).
When out side of the case I place the MBA ontop of the sleeve. I also have an iSaver mousepad that I lay ontop of the MBA when putting it inside of the sleeve.
I've also installed a tempered glass screen cover, something like this. If I'd want to protect it more against scratches I'd probably install a skin as this wouldn't add to the overall dimensions of the device.
M1 user here. The Apple USB C to USB adapter should work. Yes it's USB 3 but that's backwards compatible with the old stuff.
I have that and something somewhat like this and like it a lot.
I've been using this on my M2 Air for over a week now; no complaints so far.
https://www.amazon.com/MUELOSY-Compatible-MacBook-Version-Transparent/dp/B0B7HRMJBD/ref=sr_1_4?crid=13I9Z9M3MCKWK&keywords=macbook%2Bair%2Bm2%2Btransparent%2Bvinyl%2Bwrap&qid=1662975477&sprefix=m2%2Bair%2Bwrap%2Caps%2C149&sr=8-4&th=1 20 bucks amazon transparent top+bottom haven't ordered but it says m2 air 13.6 inch so maybe?
This is the sleeve case I got Benfan Laptop Sleeve and I'm so impressed with the quality of it, I also got the MOSISO hard shell case but it hasn't arrived yet (the reviews are very good so I'm hopeful it'll be good and fit great)
Hmmm temporarily, what comes to mind is either clear tape or a thin black foam tape with a USB-C cutout over the rim of the ports? So you can just change it every now and then? Also, there are USB-C chargers with magnetic ports so you insert the USB-C with a magnet on one end which then attaches to a wire with a magnetic end, if that makes sense. Something like this.
I recently ordered this from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08LMM7PMN
Interior dimensions are very close to MacBook Air M1 dimensions. It's getting delivered today so I'll find out how it actually fits.
I've purchased Anker 7 in 1 hubs for our Mac users who need to connect multiple USB A devices, SD card slot, and a USB A port to their computers. They've held up well and are pretty compact.
It was their in-house INLAND brand drive. I got the exact same adapter, along with this other: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SCPSX7L?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
No luck with either so far. :(
What brand of NVMe did you get? I used a Crucial 500Gb in my 2017 MBA and it worked flawlessly. I did read that this type of upgrade to non-Apple drives can be hit or miss.
Also, you may have gotten a bad adapter. They are pretty cheap - I paid $8 on Amazon. Maybe just try one of them (shotgun approach to troubleshooting).
Here is the one I got:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VVNKRYR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Lastly, I found running Monterey made the MBA run hot. I installed Big Sur and it runs much cooler. Just sayin... YMMV.
Yeah no worries! I don't think this one says anything about other than glass either, but I could be wrong. Its working great, I even put in on the track pad and the fingerprint key. Its a very light coating that drys instantly and has no discernible effect on the finish. Link
I buy clear plastic shells like this to protest my machines. This one fit perfectly.
The apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter you are using isn't going to work.
To be clear, it would work, but you can't connect a ethernet -> usb A -> usb C -> macbook and expect it to work.
Generally, adaptors like this only work over 1 hop. you can get a USB c adapter like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-MacBook-MOKiN-Ethernet-Charging/dp/B07S8MKJ6Q/ref=sr_1_9
If you don't care about having a nice adaptor, then just buy some cheapo one like this: https://www.amazon.com/C-LARSS-Multiport-Compatible-Portable-Ethernet/dp/B09NY6VLTK/ref=sr_1_32
It doenst matter whatever you buy on amazon, all of these usb C adaptors all use the same 2-3 chips from china, and they are virtually all the same.
But no, your current set up is not going to work.
Also buy a case, I just use a pouch I got from Amazon for $10 to keep it safe (something like this)[https://www.amazon.com/MOSISO-Compatible-MacBook-2018-2022-Leather/dp/B093P2SR8J/ref=sr_1_15?crid=2I87J9KHVK5PQ&keywords=M1%2BMacbook%2Bair%2Bpouch&qid=1661536632&sprefix=m1%2Bmacbook%2Bair%2Bpouch%2Caps%2C100&sr=8-15&th=1]
If you are concerned, maybe get an active cooling pad to rest your MacBook on while gaming? Something like this:
Having said that, I don't believe you will damage anything. Worst case, it will throttle performance to manage heat.
Bought this MOFT case and really like it. The 14" fits the Air M2 perfectly and has a neoprene pocket for other stuff. It also acts as a laptop stand.
You’re overthinking it - just get any 13” sleeve. I got this https://www.amazon.com/Soyan-13-Inch-Laptop-Sleeve-MacBook/dp/B07M9X2LQJ/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=18XYICHEPPIB6&keywords=soyan+leather+laptop+sleeve&qid=1660688961&sprefix=soyan+%2Caps%2C516&sr=8-3
I’m the same, don’t like screen protectors and have never used them. Installed this one on my iPhone 13 and loving it. It’s edge to edge, the glass is very smooth and way less fingerprints, also covers the notch.
What kind of video and what's the datarate? How much storage do you need. SSD will generally be faster better. You might try some OWC envoy drives.

If you really want to go cheap my daughter has this cheap enclosure and a SATA SSD drive like this. it not the fastest or even thunderbolt but it's ok.
Got this really nice slim backpack for my iPad Pro and MacBook Air M2. Fits both comfortably with some room for a few cables and earbuds. Still have a sleeve on it tho that fit my M1 Air, and it fits perfectly.

I got the Kensington slim model for my M2 MacBook Air. I love it. Very comfortable and super slim but I can still fit charger, iPad and lots of other stuff like phone, keys, pepper spray, etc.See Here
Maybe not a full backpack but you can find a laptop sleeve with this requirement, and that would fit in a backpack.
I have this - https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B078S1B93Q
Blue colour and 12.5-13 inches fits the new MBA like a glove. It’s soft instead and won’t scratch, plus it has cushioning that should protect the laptop from small drops.
Don't know where you are located, but lots of selection on Amazon. I have this one...
Available on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VVNKRYR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I doubt they are available in a store like BestBuy... I might we wrong.
I used this:
(3 Pack) Supershieldz Anti-Glare... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B3JSGJJN
It’s matte, but they make a glossy screen protector too. And then in doing my own research for cases, I read it isn’t a good idea and to use a skin instead, so I just purchased a dbrand skin.
That's true, they just cost so much don't see a reason to spend that much.
Was wondering if this is good enough https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01A6EO0N2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I wouldn't recommend the mac mouse...it does not seem to work well under windows. I just bought a Logitech MX master 3 and works well for both mac/PC.
I bought the smaller apple keyboard with the touch ID. While expensive, it seems to work well. Recommend getting a good USB C or thunderbolt dock. I bought this one. I also bought this one which also includes an NVMe SSD bay.
hey there, yes, I ended up getting this - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B093BKWH9N?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details.
Wasn't sure if it would be any good, but so far works and looks great (gets hot though).
I bought this one for my MBA M2, but neither the case or the MBA is here to test it out yet.
It just released on August 5th and is shipping from China I believe.
I bought this MOFT one. Has an expandable pocket in it, and also acts as a stand.
