I had similar issues with scrolling too. Finally, I removed the Kensington software and I now use Mos (it's for Mac OS) to fine tune the scrolling.
That's strange, have the same setup as you, M1 MBP with MX master 3. I use it with bluetooth and have no issues at all in terms of connectivity. Although for scrolling I must say it's horrendous if that's the issue you are talking about? Choppy like you described. The smooth scroll option in the default Logi options is bad too, it makes scrolling inconsistent. I use a 3rd party extension that smooths the scrolling out called MOS. With this extension I don't have issues at all, maybe give it a try.
IMHO, Mos gives a better smooth scrolling experience and SteerMouse – better mouse buttons functionality control than Mac Mouse Fix.
If you're accustomed to scrolling through web pages and other documents using the trackpad, you'll definitely want to add smooth scrolling support using an app such as the open-source Mos, too: https://mos.caldis.me. You don't notice how buttery smooth Apple's native scrolling is until it's gone.
I actually found the program literally a few days ago. I have two pieces of software that work well together.
Hi, I finally worked out, thanks to the help of other Redditors, that it was due to MOS. MOS is a great mouse utility that I thoroughly recommend that gives smooth scrolling for Chrome etc while using Logitech mouses on Mac.
However it disrupts scrolling on GeForce Now. Solution is easy: Open MOS settings, and add GeForce Now to the exemption list, so that MOS turns itself off while GFN is running. All should be fine now.
(PS you may need to uninstall Logi Options [which is shit anyway. Install it, set mouse button options, then uninstall it with great prejudice] or any other third party mouse tweaking utilities. )
Here’s what I found a while back when struggling with Mice on my MBA. TBH, I never saw that much of a difference. I ended up ditching a MagicMouse2 and going for a Logitech Triathlon mouse. 8 customizable buttons and it’s stable. I included a third link below to a smooth scrolling app. It made a noticeable improvement in scrolling.

Scrolling util:
What? MacBook trackpads are legit one the best trackpads. I always use mouse with windows/linux laptop and I didn’t even bother to get one for mac. For any apps just install brew and use it to manage apps. A simple google search would solve your problem to make scroll behave to your liking (https://mos.caldis.me) - tool to change scroll behaviour it’s one time setup and forget. I learned all of these only in first month i used macos and all this on m1 macbook air which doesn’t even have proper app support at that time (jan 2021). I don’t even have work experience and I’m still a student. I used arch with gnome, windows and macos and for anything other than gaming i will choose macos or linux in a heartbeat. I guessing u are one of the users who don’t spend time on initially setting up OS to exactly how you like and find problems in middle of work and get irritated.
Have you looked at third party software? This is not an issue for me, so I can't really recommend anything, but maybe you can have a look at Mos or UnnaturalScrollWheels.
I did find a fix. Here is what I found..
https://mos.caldis.me/?from=MosApplication&version=3.3.2 more info at GitHub too https://github.com/Caldis/Mos/blob/master/README.enUS.md
It works native (ARM binary). You can specify 'Exceptions' to turn off smooth scrolling etc. I turned off 'Reverse Scroll'.
MM2 oh how I tried to love it. $60 Logitech Triathlon mouse with the Logi control app and a 100 % working 8 button mouse is so much better. And it pairs to 3 devices.
Add in a scroll fix util, and mouse gestures and I have a working setup. Links below.
Has anybody tried https://mos.caldis.me/ yet (which has not only a scrolling perf monitor, but suggests it might be used to improve smooth scrolling)? Does it make a difference in apps at any setting? Unless, of course, the app is locked to 60.
I'm not sure if this is your issue, but I have an original MX Master and felt that the ratchet scrolling was horrible on OSX. I found a suggestion for a little app called Mos that fixed it up! Just don't forget to disable Smooth Scrolling in Logi Options.
I have the same mouse and I use Mos to make it behave itself:
It's a free app that lets you enable smooth scrolling and also reverse the direction of the scroll wheel, since by default, it's inverted compared to Windows. I had the exact same issue when I switched from Windows and Mos fixed it for me.
I don't know if you're on a PC or a Mac, but on Mac the tiny application MOS really helped me with the gameball! Here's a link: https://mos.caldis.me/?from=MosApplication&version=3.3.2
Just set the STEP parameter to the lowest (10, as of now), and turn on smooth scrolling and you're done :)
It seems that your comment contains 1 or more links that are hard to tap for mobile users. I will extend those so they're easier for our sausage fingers to click!
Here is link number 1 - Previous text "Mos"

Unfortunately, all 3rd party manufacturer mice don't work well with macs. You need to install additional software (eg. mos, steermouse) to make them work well.
This might explain the difference in scores: https://www.reddit.com/r/overclocking/comments/i8r1tg/why_is_there_so_much_variance_in_cinebench_scores/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
It really isn’t something that I would be worried about at all. Some people get way too caught up with the scores. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is whether the computer is fast enough now and whether it will be fast enough for as long as you would like to keep it for.
That’s weird that safari is using a lot of resources, is it when you have specific websites open? Are you using any extensions.
MOS only helps with mouse, not trackpad; https://mos.caldis.me/
https://mos.caldis.me I don’t like to subscribe to my mouse, I’ve been using Mos on my Mac Mini with my old bluetooth Mighty Mouse, it’s free, has lots of awesome features, is free, enables smooth scrolling, and is free!
Yes but only with some actions. Dock animations, minimizing some windows, switching virtual desktops and making applications full screen are fine for me however Zooming windows, opening mission control and minimizing some windows are a big laggy. I fixed scrolling by downloading an app called Mos.
I just searched for this, and Scroll Reverser doesn't let you separate them, at least not in my testing with Catalina. However, this tool did the trick:
Mos
Could not get it to work on my newest MacBook 2019 on Catalina even tough it worked on the previous one (2017).
Here is a free alternative under active development. It also provides smooth scrolling with with the mouse wheel, which is feels almost as mandatory as reverse scrolling once tasted...:
Mos
>Microsoft designer bluetooth keyboard
Bro, I found this https://mos.caldis.me/ little app 2 days ago. It works perfectly smooth with the new G Pro Wireless and my MBP. 10/10 Recommded
Hi apaterson, thanks for your feedback! I've heard about the app not being compatible with certain logitech mice. I assume that there is something weird about the signals they send to the computer when you press a button, but I'm currently quite busy studying at Uni, so unfortunately I currently don't have time to look into this further.
But there are some great alternatives. I highly recommend Steer Mouse if your current software doesn't provide sufficient button remapping options. USB Overdrive and BetterTouchTool are also great options. MOS is a really good alternative for smooth scrolling.
I use a Logitech mouse too. I don't know the version but it's a cheap one. I have never experienced any lag but it is not smooth as the touchpad. The scrolling experience is pretty bad compared to touchpad. So I started using an app called mos, it gives the best mouse experience on a Mac. https://mos.caldis.me/
