Yeah I was in same position as you, but with YouTubeTV.
What I decided on was to get NBA League Pass and use a VPN. I use NordVPN and use the "P2P" option to connect to St Louis. Works on the NBA League Pass website at least. Haven't tried any of the apps or anything.
If a player has a team option on his contract, it's considered part of the deal. For reference, see nearly every discussion of NBA contracts ever. For instance: what's it say under salary here?

> MIGHT NOT EVER PLAY AGAIN. I still don't see how you're missing that part?
I'm not missing that part. In fact, I addressed his health in my very first comment when I said
> I think the potential upside of Jordan returning next year + signing a cheap as hell contract is worth more to the team long-term than one more year of Vince's vet leadership.
In other words: even if Jordan doesn't play again, the possibility that he will is worth more to the team long term than 1 year of 40 year old Vince no matter how remote the chances are.
Thanks for reading.
I ended up paying for 2 legal streaming services in Canada to get all the national games, and a semi-legal one to get the American NBA TV; even with paying for all 3, I am still not getting tonight's game.
Needless to say I am a bit pissed but ended up watching Mandolorian with my daughter, which was also fun. Sometimes we just have to let shitty things go and enjoy other small things I guess : )
Edit: some other person said somehow his VPN works for a pc but not on ipad or tv, maybe give it a try with free trail. I know expressVPN doesn't work, but the other guy used NordVPN
You can purchase the international league pass if you purchase using a VPN connected to a foreign country. I purchased league pass for like $20 a few years back going through a VPN using an IP out of India but I was stuck only being able to watch games while connected to an Indian VPN. Past couple of years I’ve purchased league pass through a Mexico based IP and get league pass for $90 and can connect to any VPN with a solid connection and able to stream no problem. I use NordVPN since they have an AndroidTV app and I can just keep it connected to watch games.
I'm using ExpressVPN right now. If you can work a phone app, you can work ExpressVPN. It doesn't require any particularly networking/computer knowledge. I'm not the most savvy user either, and I've had no trouble with it. It's dummy proof.
Hey man, hope this is not too late, the league had cracked down on VPN and most don't work anymore.
I had been using the League Pass & ExpressVPN combo for years, and I found out it stopped working the night of the first game. I had cancelled both and need to get 3 different streaming services to catch most but not all Grizz games here in Canada...
I've heard someone got it working on smartDNS though.
ExpressVPN cancelled my sub no questions asked, and I terminated my league pass today.
