Apps are just an addition/extra help to your saving habits. A proper splitting between "needs", "wants", and "savings" can be a good start. Be disciplined, but at the same time, enjoy the fruit of your labors.
I have a Money Tracker app where its fairly decent, you can add custom labels and titles for whatever you are spending or saving, and it doesnt need a premium membership to access all the tools. You can even connect your bank accounts here (but I wouldn't do that, imo).
Just be true to yourself and don't make money your God. Make money work for you.
Bought a 15 lb weighted blanket on sale at HMR's website for P799. They delivered it the next day.
It's this exact model worth $72 on Amazon. The negative reviews are true (it sheds glass beads) but considering weighted blankets are usually in the P5k range and I got this for less than P1k, I'm not complaining.

Pros: very easy to manage, reports are automatically charted, multiple wallets, not a lot of fuss when recording income/expenses, has budgeting feature, can also be widget in ios, supports ipad, accessible through web browser as well!
Cons: free for only 1 wallet; need to pay a one time fee for premium, budgets are only for one wallet at a time (but you can do multiple budgets it wont apply to all of your wallets)
Focus: savings/expenses/budgets - if you are just starting your journey, tracking your expenses and income is the first step! the charts in the reports helped me so much in visualizing how much i spent on non-essential stuff every month. i havent gone deeper into investments yet so this app feels perfect for my use case atm
For most basic use of income/expense tracking, this is the best. I tried doing manually in google sheets but i hated the accessibility and visuals so an app like this is much more preferable.
Wise admitted they are not the cheapest:

Whatever you pick, make sure you don't buy seemingly high-rated products from unknown brands on Amazon, Lazada or wherever.
I got this one back in 2019.. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QTJ2MLQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Didn't even last three months of slight use.. Battery died fast and wouldn't charge anymore..
I guess what I'm trying to say here is maybe spend a bit more on a good quality product, because the cheap ones might rip you off.
Hi, I'm an auditor and if personal money mo lang naman you could just use money manager (free lang sa playstore). Easy to use, pwede ka din mag-generate ng reports dun and graphs/charts to visualize what happened to your money.
Here's the one I use. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.realbyteapps.moneymanagerfree
i'm still on trial so I don't have any referral links yet. but here's a link for a 4 month trial (instead of 34 days)

i agree with the flexible pricing. what did they say?
Yes, it's an app. I'm using a custom google sheet for allocating my salary properly then using money lover budget tracker module to monitor my expenses.
I think there's a couple of finance app you can use for budgeting like mine. I haven't used this, but this is widely suggested YNAB.
Part of r/personalfinance Wiki Step 0 is to do Budgeting.
The more you enter data (transactions) the more you can be aware of what your money is doing.
Like some said, YNAB yung suggestion nila. YNAB is based on the envelope method of budgeting.
You can find alternatives na free here /r/Zer0budgeting/ and https://actualbudget.com/differences/

I got this chair from Lazada 2 years ago. It's comfortable enough, pero I've added a seat cushion and cover. My table is also pretty high, so ung max height nya works great for my table.
Problem is that the gas lift will fail at around ~10 months. Ung tinipid ko sa cost nya binawi lang sa pagbili ng quality na gas lift. Got one from Amazon for $30 (+ shipping fee to PH), so at the cost of a new chair. It should last me a few more years, at least if nothing else breaks.
Yes! You can do that using their PLDT Home Android app.
Not sure though if you can do it too on their PLDT Home website.
Anyways either option requires PLDT Home account. You can register for free.
Are you a student like me? I'm using NordVPN, one of the most reliable and user-friendly ones. In my case I used my university mail for the 5 year plan (which is the cheapest) and got a better discount amounting to a 5600 pesos. For 5 years that's great value. NordVPN is also based somewhere outside the fourteen eyes alliance, Panama iirc. Btw, you can switch servers with NordVPN. If you suddenly want to watch UK locked netflix content you can do so. Feels free to message me if you have anymore questions.

That is the case almost all the time, pero ProtonVPN is different. They provide a tiered service naman if you plan on donating to them. They're based in Switzerland and it is developed by CERN and MIT scientists.
