I would like to review Money Lover: Budget Planner & Expense Tracker.
As someone who don't know how to manage his own finance, it is quite difficult for me to know how much I've spent and how much I have left. This apps primarily helps me on tracking a lot expenses whether it is a needs or want. Every end of month, I will have a finance management for myself. If I noticed I spent more on want, for the next month, I will reduce the budget OR I won't spend any on it (this require dedication). The secondary feature is link your wallet with your bank. This feature is very useful, as you can check your bank balance without the need of download separate app. I have multiple bank account from different banks (4 to be precise), with the helps of it, I can check how much money I received and how much money I have spent on different bank, all in one app. Lastly, (personal preference) the UI is very good looking as compare to other expenses tracker I've used in the past.
**Sorry for my bad English.
I have been using Money Lover for around 4 years now. It's simple and intuitive and has lots of kool features to categories your expenses and generate monthly reports. This app works offline also, but is not purely offline as it can sync data to their servers.
I have never been comfortable in giving SMS access to Walnut app
A lot of people are suggesting using Excel, and it's a good tool really. Pero I find that manually setting-up the "automated" things (e.g. drop-down options, thinking of categories, etc.) in Excel can sometimes be time-consuming, not to mention tedious, especially kung simple cash flow monitoring lang naman yung goal mo. I suggest using a mobile app instead, like Money Lover since we all usually carry our smartphones around anyway. There's also an iOS version.
After installing, just be sure to enter each and every transaction, debt, or sale made. You can then get a quick summary of the cash flow, and if you organized stuff into categories, you can even get a per-category view.
Yep, to add to this, use an expense monitoring app (I like MoneyLover).
Get into the habit of recording all transactions onto it; as soon as they happen or every night as long as you trust not to forget that £2 chocolate you bought from a vending machine.
Viewing your monthly reports give you a good breakdown of where your money is actually going and where you can save.
£5 here and there don't seem like much mentally, but at the end of the month, you might find yourself £200 shorter than you expected. Tracking all expenses is a good way to keep track of it.
It is easier if you use Starling or Monzo as your daily expense account as it automatically categorises all expenses for you; but this wont be the only way you are spending (other accounts, cash, etc) so still use an expense app.
Napraviš si bookmark i u 2-3 klika si upišeš.
Take a look at MoneyLover, it has everything you're asking. It's a one time payment to remove ads and unlock all features.
The UI is very simple in my opinion, and the feature for loans is one I haven't found in other managers, at least not as convenient as the one in MoneyLover.
May iOS app din yan and you can sync your wallet between devices kahit sa free account. Yun nga lang you're limited to two wallets - perfect if you only have one bank account. So Pwedeng dalawa wallet mo in-app, that is meron kang "cash on hand" and "bank account". Flexible din categories ng income and expenses so di ka limited dun sa nakalagay sa app, pwede din mag-set ng recurring expenses.
Stop eating takeaway. I started using a money tracking app, Money Lover and the amount of money that I ended up putting into takewaways just for that little bit of convenience is ridiculous.
Apps are just an addition/extra help to your saving habits. A proper splitting between "needs", "wants", and "savings" can be a good start. Be disciplined, but at the same time, enjoy the fruit of your labors.
I have a Money Tracker app where its fairly decent, you can add custom labels and titles for whatever you are spending or saving, and it doesnt need a premium membership to access all the tools. You can even connect your bank accounts here (but I wouldn't do that, imo).
Just be true to yourself and don't make money your God. Make money work for you.
I use MoneyLove. It's pretty cool and easy to use, the only problem is the Ads but if you don't mind to pay, I think it's worth it and you can export your data to an spreadsheet https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bookmark.money
Great advice! You seem to have everything down so I bet it'll be very helpful for OP. Btw, what app(s) are you using to track your budget? I started tracking my expenses with money lover but it has gotten to buggy.
Before you get on to credit cards and whatever else, I strongly recommend having a look at your recent spendings and start tracking them. Take note of where you are spending your money (most often: work lunches, pints, random snacks) and try to curb these.
From here you will be able to create a stable budget. You can structure your pay cheques and split it out before it comes in knowing that x goes to rent, y goes to travel, z goes to bills and so on and so forth. Only then can you truly understand what you have remaining in which you can save.
I track my transactions daily on apps such as Money Lover and Wallet.
Once you have a handle on that, then you can start looking in to credit cards and so on.
If you have Android I use Money Lover. Constant item in the notification bar with your balance you can spend. Then press the + button and add expenses of income. I have it set up to give me a set amount on the first of every month and that's what I spend food, gas, etc
I use "Money Lover" app on Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bookmark.money
The app desing is good with customizable icons. You can set recurring transaction and bills, also you can set budgets for each category so that when you exceed budget of a particular category the app notifies you.
I'm using the app Money Lover. An amazing app with support for multiple accounts. Perhaps it's a good one for you; https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bookmark.money
Another good option is: Monas: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.huteri.monas
Saya pakai moneylover. Standar untuk nyatet income dan expense ada. Trs bisa nge track hutang piutang juga. Sama ditambah bisa bikin reminder target saving.
What car do you drive? Depending on your car you can be paying absurdly for insurance. For example a Honda Civic (although good car that is reliable and has good gas mileage) can be more expensive to insure because it's like the most stolen car in the US
What's your phone bill? I pay $20 approx. on Ting, yes it's not all unlimited but I don't need to pay premium for an "unlimited" plan that I won't use anyway
Budget your expenses. Use a spreadsheet or an app. I used "Money Lover" in the past.
Do you need 1-3 video subscriptions? Or maybe you can share with friends? Or swap which video service you subscribe every few months.
I tried more than 10 android apps for budgeting a and settled on Money Lover. Been using it for a year now and no regrets. There is also a web version which syncs all data with the app, and I have written a Python script to download all my expenses and produce more extensive graphs.
Money Lover is a expenses manager app with a widget that show your current balance although you have to add any purchase for numbers to change
I have been using Money Lover since a year. It has lots of options including debts. Recurring payments, relevant icons for each category and also has a beautiful design and layout.
I'm just going to leave a reference to Money Lover - Expense Manager here...
Cannot recommend it enough, the paid version also allows Budgets, amongst other cool stuff... It's cross device synced, it has a (for now humble) browser UI, and best of all and rather rare, sub categories..
You should just try to stick to it for a month.. It seems tedious at first but it repays with a lot of hindsight
Disclaimer: not affiliated in any sort of way with the devs...
Money lover might fit the bill! Fairly comprehensive expense, budget, bill reminder manager. The free version is good but the paid version is defiantly worth it.
I have been using Money Lover -
It felt it to be simple and easy to use. I don't feel comfortable in giving apps useless permissions and they don't ask for one.
Although, I haven't used this app since COVID lockdown, didn't felt the need too. Maybe will go back to it once things open up
Besides the banking/financial institution apps; I use MoneyLover to record all my transactions in one place. I have the pro version so I can export it in XLS if I want.
It's a bit of a chore to add all transactions into it (I do all cash ones instantly and the card ones once or twice a weekend) but it's so worth it!
I know exactly where I'm spending too much despite my actual money being spread over multiple banks/countries.
Try Money Lover on phone, both support Android & iOS
My favourite is an Android app Money Lover. You can set up multiple "wallets"to track different currencies and transfer between them. Also great for generally categorising expenses.
Mint is good for US and Canada residents but as an European it's not so useful for me. I think I might go with Money Lover - Money Manager
Is there a method using AutoNotification (or some other method with Tasker) to create a notification that exists in the Drawer but not the Status Bar? Some programs (e.g. Money Lover) are able to do this, I have a use for it.
Me and my wife use Money Lover. We can share wallets between us and its synced up in the cloud i.e. we never lost any data when we had to hard reset our phones.
One really useful feature it has is the ability to create events (example; vacation) and categorize expenses under them. It provides you a new dimension to your expense tracking.
Beautiful UI as well.
It has some additional tools that come with it, like currency converter, loan calculator, bill manager, ATM/bank finder, tip calculator etc.
i use Money Lover
I've been using MoneyLover it has csv and website. You only pay one time for the pro features.
Money Lover: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bookmark.money&hl=en_US
Try to make a habit of inputting you expenses daily so you are well aware of your current budget.
Good luck mate. use this for a month. it's free trial.

Jaetaan tähän samaan, itse olen kokenut Money Lover -sovelluksen parhaaksi kulujen seuraamiseen Android-puhelimella.
