Comes with the magnet adhesive. Best purchase so far. I just stuck the magnetic adhesive to the inside of my iphone case and the rest is history.
I thought the XSE had a 1500w inverter with a plug in the cargo area? Or is that only on the premium package?
I've always just kept something like this in all of my cars for the last ~20 years anyways, just in case.
Took literally 5 minutes. The factory speaker are a joke and sound has improved dramatically. Total cost was ~$60. Here’s the gear you need for the SE.

I read that you can unplug the speaker for the backup noise (aka “choir of angels”) and replace it with a 4 ohm 20 watt ceramic resistor. I tried it and it works. I can plug it back in if I need to but I found the noise truly annoying.
As for the dash cam, here’s the link. Not cloud based by SD and iPhone WiFi. Works fine, easy install.

Its the same charger as the Prius Prime and they've been doing it for over a year so there's tons of data points if you Google. From personal experience I used this adapter to plug my SE into a dryer outlet and the charging time dropped from ~12 to ~7.5. Its an old rental house and I was also using a 10 AWG extension cord, not sure if if those contributed to no being able to hit 4.5 hrs. To be safe I monitored the wiring the first few times with an IR thermometer and saw no hot spots.
I posted here about the charger: https://www.reddit.com/r/rav4prime/comments/ocfa8k/stock_120v_charger_at_240v/

These fit well, better on the passenger side. I will be testing the driver side cover in a few days when I drive.
My purpose, just protection from wear and tear.
I got this one. Wife and I slept it in a few times and it was great.
Completely perfect fitment surprisingly for being from Amazon. They're stuck on by double sided tape. A bit of wind noise but nothing outrageous. I also like them because it deletes the chrome trim around the top of the windows. You can find them here

This adapter should work, however, it's probably cheaper (if you can DIY) and safer to replace the receptacle with a 14-50. While you're replacing it, you can verify the cable is 6ga 4-conductor, and the breaker is 50amp as well.
I found this one interesting if you wanted a clean look. Looks like an easy install without needing to run wires.

This uses the power from the camera cluster behind the rearview mirror, and integrates the camera into the cover. Works well, I have one in my SE. Took 5 minutes to install.
I have a dog and I live in a rainy place, so I got this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NR9DZL4?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details
It doesn't fit like a glove, but it's sturdy, allows the armrest to come down, and once you've pulled the seatbelt buckles through, they stay put.
I use this one: https://www.amazon.com/Pet-Parade-Waterproof-Cover-Black/dp/B019D1AYXE/ref=pd_lpo_1?pd_rd_i=B019D1AYXE&psc=1
It covers the whole back seat and has cutouts for the seatbelt connectors. I put a large beach towel underneath to separate it from the seat for cushioning. Just put the car seat(s) on top.
Make sure you don't cover the air vent used to cool the DC to DC converter under the seat on the passenger side. I just fold the cover under itself.
Works for us.
LoL I have a model 3 also. Great minds think alike.

I’ve used this one for a few days with my iPhone: OTTOCAST Wireless Carplay Adapter... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B092VVFW3C?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Works pretty great. It takes a little longer to get connected, but I think the few seconds you save from taking your phone out of your pocket & plugging it in evens it out.
I’ve seen a Instagram ads for plug-and-play dongles for wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay. This way you keep your phone in the center console the way you like and get the projection you’d like?
The Supra 3.0 Premium offers wireless CarPlay so I see this capability making its way down the lineup to Corollas, but it’ll most likely be part of an advanced technology package for an extra cost.

The reviews look promising, sort of.
I can assist you, please message me. I've done many hidden safe installs in cars back in the day. Rare earth magnetic electronic locks are the most secure. I don't think you're allowed to install lead lined ones anymore though now.
If you're just wanting to keep your wallet /phone etc in there when you're bouncing around to EDM music high as a kite, what I'm talking about might be overkill.
If you want something like a locking glove box like this you're better off just hiding it somewhere clever like inside the roof liner, because anything locking made of plastic would take less than 10 seconds to snap and empty.
FYI, all doors need to be closed when it’s plugged in and car on for the room mode message to display.
this mattress works great. We’ve used it like 6 or 7 times. It comes in a bag and with a pump with the car adapter. It’s also super compartmentalized so you can do half of it, slightly wider, etc if you need to
+1 for JBL 3020 dash speakers.
+1 for OEM hitch to connect bike rack
Non-slip anti-vibration liners for the cup holders, phone area etc. It cuts down on the rattles and things don't slide around when taking a sharp turn.
I had a struggle with this for a while! Our 2018 RAV4 Hybrid had cup holders that were farther forward, so I used a cup holder mount, but with the Prime the cup holders were too far back. I also did not want to block an A/C vent, nor could I come up with a place I could reach easily without putting it too high on the dashboard.
I was very relieved to find this, and mount it to the seat track. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PD1XOVI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Note: in order to loosen the bolt on the seat track, you're going to need a T50 Torx socket, and a pretty long socket wrench, but once installed it's worked great.
I have the air vent style. It works well but the unit is kind of flimsy. The first one broke so I sent it in for replacement.

The 2nd unit works great so far. 6 months and counting

I have these in my SE. They fit great and look almost like factory except they’re a pain to install (about 5-6 hours combined for front and back).
I use a J1772 extension outdoor and leave it outdoors 24/7. It's fine. The extension has the same seals and IP ratings the factory plug does. Don't leave it where it can get submerged and you're fine. I plug my factory one into the extension and leave the junction of the two under my stairs, hung on a pair of small hooks to keep them off the ground.
If your SUPER worried, you could get something like this to put the plugs into: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00274SLK8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_ZAMN48RJHW1DRK557RF3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

And I know the reviews say they don't work, well, I haven't had mice or rats in the cars since, or keep some dogs or and cats near the vehicle, I'm not a fan of poison, but you need to react.
Same here. It hits the corners of the front seats but seems to work fine. I also use an “angle adjuster” to improve the fit but it’s not entirely necessary.
Huge improvement from my last car but I still am counting down the days until forward facing. 🤣
Go down to a hardware store and get a cover. The kind you would get for Christmas lights to cover cables over a path. What works well for me is a silicone cover, it is absolutely quiet. I chased my noise down to the plastic trim around the hatch window.

Stock tires (I live in the Bay Area) and SCC cable chains. I was glad to have the chains. The RAV did great. Such a difference to have a heavy vehicle with AWD vs driving on snow in my Prius!
I read this post and the very next time I went to get into my car the battery in my keyfob had failed. Thankfully, I happened to have a 20-pack of the CR2450 batteries that I bought a year ago. (The smart interface I bought for my garage door opener uses the same battery for the wireless open/close detector device.) They were only $12 for the 20-pack. It ought to last me a while!
I opted for cargo nets. The one against the seats makes for a great storage location for car junk. Charging cable, air compressor, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, emergency blankets... Plenty of room. The plastic hooks broke for me, though, so I reattached them with these.
The floor one has been GREAT for shopping.
There are a few other ways that are easier than this. You can buy something like this Amazon: Parking Mat. Or something like this: Garage Parking Aid.
What I do is just hang a tennis ball from the ceiling of the garage that hits my windshield when I have pulled in the correct amount.
If you look on Amazon there is also an aftermarket cubby for the space in front if the shifter. https://www.amazon.ca/TOPINSTALL-Organizer-Compatible-Accessories-Secondary/dp/B09KPM7QF5/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?crid=58QNVDTBYDUY&keywords=rav4+2022+accessories&qid=1670734595&replacementKeywords=accessories&sprefix=rav4%2Caps%2C223&s...
If you are worried, keep this in the trunk. so, I have a 3.3 XSE charger as well.
I ended up buying a Schumacher cable when it was on sale at napa for $150.
I took the stock cable, and leave it in a drawer in the garage, and never use it. This cable, can charge on 110 or 220. I leave it in a bag in the trunk, and charge my car on 220 at work (3-4 hours for a full charge). I also can use it on my dryer outlet in my garage, with an adapter I bought from Best Buy (apparently, house is older, new houses have the new plug like on the cable).
Once you start charging on 220, it's hard to go back to charging on 110, unless it's overnight, and this cable is like 3 feet longer than the stock cable and can reach far. I also keep a 14 gauge 15 ft extension cord in the same bag as the cable (I never use it, but I bought it)
Amazon fit claims my 2021 Prime is not compatible with the Hella model 012010901 that I bought too. But it's already installed so I know it works perfectly.
The one Amazon recommends first as an alternate and claims as "this fits" does not have a plug that matches the Toyota harness.
On a related note, when a product claims 300dB volume, realize that is enough to kill you and everyone in a 1000' radius at minimum. It's far louder than a nuclear bomb. So you probably shouldn't trust that manufacturer's claim of "universal fit" either.
That's the one I used too. Note that Amazon now says that horn "does not fit RAV4 2021 Prime", but it's complete BS, since it's working perfectly on mine.
Ironically, Amazon now tries to steer me to a horn that advertises 300dB. For context, a nuclear bomb measured from 250 feet away is 210 dB. If that horn was actually 300dB it would definitely kill you and destroy the car. It would likely also be tearing apart the fabric of reality.
But setting aside their lies about volume, the connector on the horn isn't even close to matching the Toyota wiring harness, yet Amazon says "This fits 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime". Presumably, that's because the manufacturer claims "universal fit". Sure, if you are willing to cut wires and figure out how to bolt it on to the car yourself I guess.
We went with the trumpet style one. Also a perfect fit, maybe five minutes to install. Obviously I can't compare it to the one you went with but it was definitely an upgrade over stock.
Omg, lol. I bought this one HELLA 011225881 Black 77mm 12V BX... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BODVOSY?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
and it was a perfect fit (bracket on back of horn can be rotated to get connector into better position). Much more gratifying
I'm still way down the allocation list for my Prime, but I envisioned using a flat appliance extension cord and running it right out the bottom of the hatch and still being able to close it. Not sure if it would actually work or not. Something like this...
https://www.amazon.com/Quality-Heavy-Extension-Conditioner-Appliance/dp/B013Q5DP0W
I'd recommend buying a key fob cover, most on Amazon have an extra place to add key chain loops or lanyards.
This is what I got, works great: MECHCOS Compatible with 2022 2021... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09BQN35CS?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
It's a 20A NEMA 5-20R. If you want to use the charger that comes with the RAV4, you can get a cable that adapts to the standard NEMA 5-15R.

2 recommendations from Amazon. I love the Munchkin as it is very well like extremely well made, biggest downside is no pockets.
The second option is also well made, just not over the top well made like the Munchkin but has pockets on the bottom edge.
We actually are using both currently, one where the baby seat goes, and the second is on the open rear seat opposite our oldest child to catch the baby bottles from leaking all over the seats when baby throws his bottle.
I have four of these
Use 'em in my Rav and wife's Sonata, they've been great for the extra pockets at the bottom. I got them specifically for my messy 3 yr old and soon to be 2nd little bundle of joy.
Best of luck with the baby. Pack a ton of snacks in your hospital bag. :)
Absolutely do not do this:

Time required: 20 min.
Materials:
-flathead screwdriver
- 10 watt 8 ohm resistors
- solder and solder thing (optional)
- heat shrink 18 awg butt splice (2)
- 18 awg wire, 6 inches
- electrical tape
- metric socket set, 9 - 13mm

1) order the resistors
2) using the butt splices and wire, attach 2 inches of additional wire to both wires of the resistor and secure using instructions that came with the butt splices.
3) open your hood and find the large plastic cover the spans the width of the bay closest to you. use a flat head screw driver to pop up the trim tabs and pull out by hand. remove a couple bolts that also hold it down. Don't lose these.
4) remove 3 bolts holding the hood latch. don't lose these.
5) remove the large plastic cover using some force and wiggling.
6) find speaker right under where the plastic cover used to be, in the middle, fastened with bigger bolt.
7) find speaker wires running to the left of the speaker, find connector and detatch by pushing down on the tab and pulling apart.
8) using the resistor with butt spliced wires, push one wire in on either side of where you pulled the speaker wires out.
9) get in the car and put your car in reverse in ev mode while pushing the brakes and see if the warning message "audio something blah blah malfunction" appears. If it does, revisit step 8. if not move on to step 10.
10) electrical tape up the resistor and speaker connection into an ugly yet secure ball of rubber tape. secure to something, or not.
11) replace plastic trim cover.
12) replace hood latch.
enjoy.
They basically have an end cap that spins. So, when a socket is hammered onto them, it basically gets hammered onto the spinny end piece, and the socket won't turn the bottom part.

You don’t need to take off the bumper. I copied Phil on Phil’s DIY on you tube. There’s a lot of steps but they are not too hard. There are a couple of things that I think are a little difficult. You have to be willing to tap into the wiring on your car and I didn’t really want to do that, but I did. Not hard technically, I’m just a bit squeamish about doing that to a new car. The other challenge is that the way the kick sensor works it will only open or close the hatch, not both. Unless you add a mercury switch. When Phil first mentioned that I thought no way, that’s way out of my depth. But it was actually pretty easy to make, especially since I was just copying Phil. I made one change in that I bought mercury switches that came in little black cases that come with tape on them and wiring. Make things look neater and was easier. The switch is simple, it closes the circuit one way when the hatch is up and then closes it another way when the hatch is down. The kick sensor is completely unnecessary but it gives me joy every day and works really well. Shockingly well. This isn’t the sensor I used but its the same type. The bumper on my 2021 RAV4 Prime SE is open on the back so there was easy access without removing it. I placed it a little to the right of my OEM trailer hitch. : ) (If you are happy to have the sensor just open the hatch, then no mercury switch is needed and you’ll have a kick sensor.)
The second link is to the tilt switch I used. I did a review and posted a video so you’ll be able to see my mercury switch.

It's a dedicated little module by the horns. If you unplug it, it throws a "visit dealer immediately" warning.
You can bypass it with a 8 ohm resistor. I used one of these resistors, and this adapter so I didn't have to damage the vehicle. I didn't have my soldering iron set up, so I just used electrical tape and some resin, and I plan to redo it eventually. But it works perfectly. The system doesn't know it's not plugged in. And I just swap it when I go in for service.
I talked to the service guys at my dealership and they said it would be best to change it back before coming in (or in the parking lot, or whatever). They'd have to note it.
Done it for a few service cycles, now. Showed the guys there, and they thought it was great.
The wireless charger in my XSE doesn't work well either. You can try holding the charger power button down to change the frequency. That might help.
I wound up getting this for my iPhone. I works every time: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B089VVG3ZP?ref=ppx\_pop\_mob\_ap\_share&fbclid=IwAR3pNBWlvdEZTlTvqm\_PBCXby4c9pX1dU7TYEoY-Ecnp36cRrcZRzbVCTks
If I were to get this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077DC39J9/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3NE68KV6W0Z4F&th=1 It would charge my car at 3.3kw, wouldn't it?
I think that one would do 3.5kw on your car since it's 16A at 220v.
Is your current outlet NEMA 6-20 as shown in the photo on that listing?
If so, and you're willing to go with an off label use, you could run the stock Toyota charger at 220v with an adapter like this one:

This would charge your car at 2.6kw

Since the weather here can be horrible (we live on the MA/NH border) and don't have a garage, I built a PVC box to hold the charger and attached it to the outside wall. Maybe something like [this](https://www.amazon.com/Styling-Available-Defroster-Self-Driving-Convenient/dp/B086GKMBPL)? A regular hair dryer is like 1875W.

Unlike a kill a watt it has a battery (recharges when plugged in) so it keeps an always increasing count of kWh used.
Depending how trusting your relationship with your landlord is, you could just plug in through one of these things - it's a kill-a-watt monitor that can track cumulative kwh consumed (as well as letting you see things like voltage/current/power/etc.). It gets cleared if you unplug it or it gets power cycled, but as long as you don't touch it (or only clear it once a month), it should do what you want.
Gotcha! Here's the one I used and liked. Very compact. Unfortunately there aren't cheaper ones that I've seen yet. Expensive adapter, but free charging :). Have fun.

I tested 3 different brands and this one is the one that I liked the most.
I have an SE Weather and then put in pleather seat covers. They look great and I’ve gotten a bunch of compliments on the leather seats (that aren’t real leather!). They’ve also withheld a dog riding in them for many miles of road trips.
I bought these for the XSE Hybrid. They fit really well but are a pain in the ass to install (took me 6 hours):

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08GLVW169/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 i'm using this one now and been using it the last few days, takes an extra 15-20 secs to connect but so far it's always connected and no issues with lagging. i have the XSE with audio pkg and it seems to have no issues charging while in use so far with the factory wireless charger.
I use this and it works more than a handful of times before it needs to be charged, and when it’s dead you can charge it with your prime.

Get a wireless CarPlay adapter. I have this one:
OTTOCAST Wireless Carplay Adapter... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B092VVFW3C?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Fair warning though, it does drain your battery relatively quickly (a few hours). Not sure if a wireless charger can keep up with it. I primarily use it for short trips, and will just plug in on longer drives to keep my phone charged.
Amazon had a bunch of varieties, all of them pretty much at 15 inches wide which I thought would be too much, but it actually fit pretty good.

I saw this option from another feed. Don’t remember who said it to give them credit for it.

Great charger…high quality thick cable with the “smart” features like scheduled charging, useage stats, and calculated costs based on energy provider
One thing I forgot...
I use a USB on/off switch between the RAV4 USB plug and the Carlinkit, so I can turn off the wireless Carplay if I need to without unplugging it. Sometimes it was difficult to get the USB-A plug back into the port while driving after it was unplugged.
This one is expensive, $200, but it's will do CarPlay or Andoid Auto wirelessly. For passengers, it will also wirelessly play Netflix, YouTube, Waze and Google.
I don't find it a distraction while driving, and it keeps the youngin's entertained.
I’m using this one - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08ZHCS8R3?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_FZW89GGQXEWXG78JY6CX
It works decently well. Sometimes it gets confused if my wife’s phone (also paired with it) is also in the car and I have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to connect. That happens maybe 1 out of 5 times. So often enough you’ll want to make sure it’s easy to reach to unplug. Having said that, once it connects for a trip it never drops out.
I use this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B092VVFW3C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It works well most of the time, though once in a while (once per week maybe?) I need to unplug it and jiggle the cord / reconnect it. Wireless Carplay does eat up my battery life, though.
You can get different plugs. You'll have to see what you have at your house and get that one. Once you know the kind you have at the house this is a good brand. This will only do 240v at 16 amps though (3.3kwh), so the fastest this will charge is 4.5 hours. Under the pictures it'll give you options for plugs. You just have to match up what you have at your house.
PRIMECOM Level 2 Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger (220V / 240Volt, 16Amp) Portable EVSE Smart Electric Car Charger, 30', 40', and 50 Feet Lengths (NEMA L14-30P, 30 Feet) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B8WSBLG/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_DBZC5X9SEQNCDDTQBC32?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I bought this and attached it like the picture. I used the seat latch to attach the top ones.
I used JBL club 3020 speakers and a Red Wolf wiring harness both available on Amazon. I believe pretty much any 3.5” speaker will work.
This is the organizer https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B08X1FKXZG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_GV4JJ5Q67PKQ2HVGQPSE?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I’d say the one flaw of this car/model is the audio if you decide to do the speaker swap you’ll see how terrible the stock speakers are. I wish there was an easy swap for the four remaining speakers. Oh well I can live with it.
It's the Turbocord Dual - https://store.evsolutions.com/mobile/turbocord-dual-120240v-plug-in-ev-charger-p28.aspx
I have used it for years, previously with my 2013 Chevy Volt. It's a great product and I highly recommend it. It's a level 2 and level 1 charger in one.
This is the adapter I'm using. Really high quality. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081PZCR65
I don't have one but this seems good. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MYDXD43/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_6YSSXHVF0XKET0R6CED0 According to its video, it can be used with entire 2nd row seats down, 40% or 60% down.
