“The enemy that had been left behind remained completely still as they watched their kin approach the walls of William’s campsite. From their perspective, they watched as the spiders and ants were briefly slowed by the still waters of the crystal moat, entering it on one side before slowly emerging from the water the other. Then, they would easily climb the wooden walls that separated them from their prey. The belligerent creatures streamed over the precipice of the walls by the thousand, as though they were returning to their nest in times of danger. It lasted almost a full minute before the streams of bodies and legs finally completed their siege – the first wave were all inside the wooden walls. William could only hope beyond hope that Sharia was ready...”The board of directors of Swarm Entertainment had been working on a singular goal for nearly ten years when the breakthrough had come. Since the first consumer release of VR systems, many had realised that the future of VR gaming would always be total immersion, but very few had thought along the same lines as Swarm Entertainment.
This story follows William, a clever man who had been handed the pleasure of entering the virtual world of Eden and its virgin lands before any other human being. He would be the first visitor to unknown computer-generated lands, but he won't be welcomed with adoration. Complete with stats, leveling and the like, this is a LitRPG adventure.
The LitRPG genre has a fantastic and supportive community. If you have enjoyed this book, please go forth and search for more. There are so, so many to both read and listen to out there.

Hello!
I wrote and illustrated a short, satirical picture book called THE WHALE THAT WAS HAPPY IN CAPTIVITY. (Spoiler alert; the whale isn't actually happy). The story very quickly crumbles under it's ludicrous premise, and readers will find themselves wondering why they even bought into the ill-conceived and preposterous notion of happy whales in captivity.
Additionally, I'll be donating $1 from every purchase to an organization called the Whale Sanctuary Project, to help them with their goal of building a seaside sanctuary for rescued whales and dolphins.
I’m happy to announce my first book of short stories, The Hope Dealer! It has tales of horror, humor, and heartwarming sweetness, all written by yours truly!
You can find it here at: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FP9XLCS
Here's the Amazon UK link (for some reason on the UK site it says out of stock but I think they're just a little behind on printing because of COVID should be back up and sending out copies in a couple of days)
Its also available as an ebook and is free to Kindle Unlimited subscribers.
You can check out my website for details : )
Hi everyone! You might remember me from late last year when I asked how many of you would be interested in a highly detailed, adult colouring book about birds. Well, some of you were and were very encouraging with it. Thanks in no small part to your support I’ve actually gone and done it!
Not only is it available on Amazon right now for the bargain price of £5.49, but I’ve got a few copies that I’d like to give away as a token of my appreciation.
Working from feedback I decided to go with 15 different illustrations, so as now to make the book too intimidating, and printed them single-sided to avoid bleed through. Not only that but doubled up and divided into two sections so you can use one copy to practice and one to cut out and display or keep. So 30 colouring pages in total, if that makes sense.
Anyway, if you’re still interested and would like the chance to win a copy simply leave a message below or DM me and I’ll put your name in for the draw on Sunday 12th January.
Once again, and I can’t stress this enough, thank you kind Redditors. This definitely wouldn’t have happened without you! Happy new year!
I thought this subreddit might appreciate this. It’s a collection of my ten most popular Reddit stories. The collection includes several r/nosleep and r/WritingPrompts stories. One of them, “Say Uncle,” was featured on the Best of Nosleep subreddit last year.
I’ve written a bunch of fantasy and sci-fi stories too, but the horror stuff seems to be the most popular.
Below is the book title and description.
Horrible Writing: 10 Horror Stories You Probably Shouldn’t Read
These 10 horror stories were originally posted online under a pseudonym. Some of them have taken on a life of their own. Cumulatively the stories written under this name have been read by tens—possibly hundreds—of thousands. Some have been translated into other languages, and many have been featured on podcasts, SoundCloud, and YouTube channels. A few have even been made into short movies.
I’ve edited and collected the most horrible of the stories here. You probably shouldn’t read these; they aren’t good for you. Still, I enjoyed writing them, and lots of people enjoyed reading them. You might too.
They are about horrible things that happened and might yet happen. Upsetting things like rewatching movies we’ve all seen, what happens when we’re sleeping, the horror of falling in love, and national monuments behaving badly. Creepy stories about things that happen at coffee shops, a strange flu, and a dog that wants so badly to be good. Disturbing things like the choices we make together, an informercial for a thing you may not want, and to end it all—a caricaturist’s love note to you, and you, and you. All awful, unbearable things. Don’t say you weren’t warned.
I took a year off from my job in the middle of fighting migraines and managed to write my first novel. Now I am working on the second book in the series but I am worried that the first book still needs work.https://www.amazon.com/Earth-Directive-Command-Book-ebook/dp/B00AS2I7QY?ie=UTF8&keywords=graham%20mcmurtry&qid=1462826368&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1 I have had numerous people praise the book and even offer help on future books but without the money to pay for a professional editor I went with my Father and Brother-in-Law to be my editors. All that aside - before I complete my second book... what should I do about my first book? I will give away free copies (digital) to anyone willing to read and or review the book for me and give me valid feedback. TL/DR - I wrote a book, now writing the second, want help promoting the 1st book. Free digital copies to those that want to have a go.
(Inbox me for copy of the book)
Thanks! ElephantRaccoon
