My wife likes the Dale Medical 316 ...we usually get a single from Amazon and they tend to last about a year. They also have ten packs if you go through them faster.
I have been working on something that uses a livestock scale kit and is a modification of the scale this guy built for his cattle.
The idea is to mount this kit under a piece of suitably-sized plywood with a couple of fold-down ramps.
If he’s still comfortable walking through the woods (and that’s a big if), you can get him a few things that will make hunting possible:
Tree stands are out, so look for a blind: https://www.cabelas.com/shop/en/blackout-x83-hub-style-ground-blind
As far as holding the rifle goes, they make a thing called a shooting stick that’s basically a tripod for firearms. He’ll still need to shoulder the rifle and pull the trigger, but it will allow him to do it almost entirely one-handed: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KMPCVMH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_pKAZFbDGH9QYW
The hardest part will be finding a comfortable chair for him that works with the blind. If you have a Cabelas or Bass Pro near you, I would take him and just try stuff out. The sales people won’t mind you messing with the stuff, especially if you explain what you’re trying to figure out.
Good luck!
Here's another thing I use. Not exactly this one but very similar. Especially useful when transferring to toilet at home. Less useful for wheelchair cathing (see leg mirror by Sammons Preston for WC use).
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079NWHWNL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fab_ic1EFbAGQRSZ0
I use something like this and I hang a cheap Goody mirror on it like this one:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00P74HAY8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fab_Xf1EFb2YD5861
There's a bunch of these at Walmart. Whatever mirror you use has to have a bendy handle that holds the angle.
I use a washcoth tied around the mirror's handle to help it stay put on the stand, but you could just as well duct tape it to the stand. This solution has worked well for me at home but I use the leg mirror when out and about.
I tried several stand mirrors that you'd normally use on the countertop, but none were tall enough. Hence the adjustable height purse stand.
Hope that helps a little!!
Thinking outside the box here, instead of using the oven, go for an air fryer on a table with pull out baskets. Way easier to use, cooks a lot faster and uses less energy than an oven. Arguably healthier too!
Something like this perhaps
I have a mount i attach to my chair for my phone. Holds it steady. Can mount almost anywhere. Here’s the one I use:

I use a mouthstick stylus, but sounds like you could use a handheld one. Makes navigating easier. they have both here:
Lots of options
I cook with a skillet on a table that I can pull under. I use this skillet because the handles are all loops which makes it easier to pick up or take the lid off.

Short term: Consider calling a home health agency that can send out a qualified nurse to help with this.
Later on, contact your physician to put you in touch with a occupational therapist that can customize assistive tools that can help you insert things with minimal or zero assist (I assume a suppository).
Is this something you think you can use?
I’m picturing something like those old tobacco pipes, a stand to hold it, and you have two free hands to operate an adaptive lighter. Or you could use cedar sticks like how they light cigars with.
Check your sodium level. Also, check the level of pressure in your wheelchair cushion; it's possible that the circulation to your legs is being affected by too much or insufficient cushion pressure. During the day try to elevate your legs. If you can try crossing your legs (muy macho style, not drag style) this also can alleviate fluids pooling in your lower legs. Massaging them also aids in helping them drain.
You can try compression socks but you need to be careful. I have found that too much compression can lead to ulcers. I've linked to compression socks which have worked without these side-effects.
Best wishes on your continued adventures in life. :)
I'm meeting with PT and OT this week to start trying things. https://turbomedorthotics.com/ and https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LXG8TQL/ were 2 of the products I was looking at initially. This is less than a month old for me so I'm hoping some quick PT can be more beneficial, but it's being caused by a spinal met from colon cancer so we'll see.
he can try slapping it around. If that doesn't work ask one of them it's CNA's or nurses to help him :D

This is what I ended up getting the most results from. I wear this during the evening for a few hours to get a good stretch in on the achilles tendon/toes/calf. However again, if I leave it on for too long the pressure points on my feet and calf become overwhelming and I talk it off. I have not found one where I could leave on for 6-8 hours while also getting a decent stretch.

I've seen entirely touchscreen keyboards before, but they are usually not full-size keyboards. Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/ILEBYGO-Keyboard-Rechargeable-Mouse-Projector/dp/B0776T8QDC/
There are some very light custom mechanical keyboard switches, but they are quite expensive even for an entry-level build.
I think the speed of voice to text depends a lot on the vocabulary or syntax of what you're dictating, but for regular spoken sentences like this comment, it isn't terribly slow. I generally sit around the 70 wpm mark, including corrections.
I use a 2L bag too because I drink a lot of water. I’ve been using a nylon drawstring bag with cute little elephants on it. But I’m going to go tacticool . I’m going out more and don’t want to spend time getting it in and out of a bag.

It was a knockoff percussion one I bought like 2 years ago. Most of them work the same way, I just pulled it back up and it's now selling for $80. Someone suggested grabbers -- I would say buy multiple ones, depending on how big your house is, and place them strategically. It's annoying to drop something and then have to go all the way to the other end of the house to get a grabber! One for the bathroom; bedroom; and kitchen, at least.
Pill organizer. So much better than opening multiple bottles every day.
Consider getting smart lights for your home, so he can turn them on and off while in bed, on the sofa etc. Yes, you could turn them on/off, but it's about him being independent!
Does he cook? Many people hang a mirror coated w/de-fogger above the stove (under the range hood) so that they can see into the pots and pans. Sit in a chair next to the stove yourself (sideways) so you can get the viewing angle right.
Got a shower chair? Will he want a padded one, or will a smaller, cheaper one work? What's the commode situation going to be like? Will he want a raised toilet seat?
Have him come here and ask the dudes about cathing tips and tricks, they've got a bunch (I'm a woman, can't help you there lol). Also, ask about sex! This is VERY important, don't shy away from it. The men here are very open about it, and have all kinds of experience and ideas to share.

do whatever makes you happy.
but do research
maybe find an independent mature one who can talk to you through things?
i dont think you would benefit from a 1-and-done session where you pay for the company. if you want to actually explore your sexuality, just keep waiting for the right person; or find an independent escort who can help you figure it out and experiment.
also, just keep in find, as a person with an SCI your immune system is weaker and you are prone to autonomic dysreflexia. So it might not be a great idea to see a random person who has XX# of visitors a day. im not judging anyone, she can do whatever! Im just suggesting as a person MORE SUSCEPTIBLE to illness, contagious stuff, and even stds...... you should keep that in mind and be careful. SCI is not fun, so imagine adding syphilis or another fun STD into the dynamic lol.
so yah to sum up:
A) keep searching: tinder, okcupid, match.com, etc,
2) if you feel you must; then find an independent escort in your area who has experience with disability, or search "sex surrogate" --- if you cant find any of that, then just search for a MATURE INDEPENDENT ESCORT who can tal;k to you before hand and learn about what you want. That wat you can communicate and benefit from the experience and not just have an experience where you feel shitty afterewards
I use something like this:

I set an alarm to wake me up in intervals to empty my bladder.
Reusable washable bed pads. 2 of our 3 kids still have some accidents and I'm a quadriplegic s intermittent incontinence is part of my disability. We do a big pad in the 'danger zones' on top of the sheet, + 1 below the fitted sheet + 1 below the mattress pad + a waterproof non crinkle cover. Don't skimp and get the scratchy ones or the tiny ones. You don't need the super giant ones but the small ones slide around, bunch up or are in the wrong place.
34x36is pretty good and do 2 of them layered. 34x52 covers a twin bed nicely. I haven't bought these, just picked a sample by size.
Also the depends mens briefs. The grey underwear style ones.
edit. Theseare the big ones I like. Layer in the danger zone.
Here’s a link to a sling I use on hubby. I’m petite and it’s been a life saver. I just use the sling to slide him closer to the opposite side Im going to roll him onto. Then bend his knee and roll him :)
And you can unscrew this and use any bike bottle holder, I swapped the plastic with a metal one and it works great. I would recommend a stopper for coffee though
I use this and it's the only thing I've used. Look up flexible medical mirror or a variation of that on Amazon and give any of those a try. I also use a plain shower mirror for inspections of the goods ;).

I have one similar to this. It's big but it's also not rigid so not matter where you put it it doesn't get in the way of transfers, and it has a pocket for other stuff.
I have had a lot of success using RAM branded mounts. I like them because I can swap out a cup holder for a phone holder, or a million other things. They are not the least expensive, but they are rock solid enough to be mounted on motorcycles, so you know it's not going to fail.
Here's an all-in-one solution:
RAM Mounts Level Cup 16oz Drink Holder with Handlebar U-Bolt Base RAM-B-132RU with Medium Arm for Motorcycle, ATV/UTV, Bike
RAM Mounts - Level Cup 16oz Drink Holder
If you prefer a holder for a taller coffee cup, this holder would be more adequate. It would also require buying an appropriate 1-in ball mount and connecting arm.
I use a bottle cage. It won't hold a paper cup but it does hold lots of travel mugs, my favorites being the completely leakproof ones made by contigo.
I love my set up, it's spill proof and far more stable than a paper cup in most of the plastic cupholders made by medical manufacturers.

Been using this one since 2016 and still going strong.
Anything involving maintaining tension in an area without innervation, I use a gait belt. My PT/OT support always used these and I found it to be a great investment.
Aside from that, work with PT or a trainer to safely increase adduction stretching.
One stretch I love to do is sit with my butt half off the edge of the bed, strap my legs just above the knees no greater than hip width apart, then lay back. Hang out here for a while, playing on your phone or reading. Ideally where your feet don’t touch the ground. It’s a great passive hip opener.

I use a standard indoor bike roller (something like this https://www.amazon.com/Tengma-Adjustable-Foldable-Resistance-Trainers/dp/B08LDFVZN8/ref=sr_1_11?dchild=1&keywords=roller&qid=1628722680&s=outdoor-recreation&sr=1-11) and use straps to keep my bike fixed to it. Make sure to put a weight or two behind your rear wheels/back up to a wall or you'll end up sliding back over the course of your workout.
Oh yea def not expensive as thick ski socks, but as far as brands go i like underarmour but theyre usually thinner, but also Russell atheltic is a good brand like these from amazon
Wheelchair user, bladder and bowel issues which require SPC and manual evacuation with dig stim (suppositories too strong for me) and I had to break down and buy this commode.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075LTX3DJ
I have a handicap van, and I literally use this next to my wheelchair and tie up the gift bag and put it into a paint mixing pail until the next gas station.
It also goes into the hotel with me. In which case I'm more likely to skip the bag and use disinfectant wiped and a thorough rinsing of the basin instead.
I'm short so I modified the commode by not putting the outer tube legs on and instead just putting crutch tips (Tornado) on the inner legs instead.
Gratefully I have pretty tinted windows on my van, however I always use reflectix or a shower curtain at night because people can see inside at night and I need to see so I don't kill myself moving around. It does honesty help having the dropped floor in the van for privacy.
I keep a mini backpack with gloves, lube, TP, wipes, etc on the arm of the commode.
To empty my leg bag I either discretely water a tree or I use a YELLOW Nalgene wide mouth (color coded and hey, the pee looks like water so nobody's the wiser). I have one on my wheelchair and another in a back row cup holder.
Hope maybe that gave some ideas?
The commode made it possible to intermittent self cath and BM (as for me they often happen simultaneously) before I got my SPC. But either way, the opening in front makes bowel evacuation easier too.
Just my own solution. Hope you might get some ideas from it! Good luck!!!
I used to use Statlocks but the adhesive started irritating my skin pretty bad. I now use this leg strap.
What kind of bag do they use? As in, what size? Is it a leg bag, or one of the 2000 mL overnight bags? Personally, I use the 2000 mL bags and I’ve actually found a bit of an unconventional solution. Personally, I wanted a very low–key bag cover, just plain black which was surprisingly hard to find. I wound up ordering this bag off of Amazon. it’s actually meant for carrying documents, but it fits my bag perfectly and nobody ever notices it against the black of my wheelchair.
Hopefully you found this helpful!

T5 complete here and magic bullet suppositories work SO much better for me than docolax. Only downside is insurance for me doesn’t cover them. At least mine doesn’t. I’ve been using them for over 10 years and never had in incontinece issues. As long as I’m keeping up with my bowel program daily or every other at times. Other recommendation for me is psyllium husk fiber like people have said. Otherwise my dad finds that he can reach his plate if he pulls up at an angle or sideways to the corner of a table or counter.
My parents moved into an “accessible” apartment. Ironically all the counters are lower which would work well for someone in a manual chair. But for someone in a power wheelchair, it’s not the best option.

I got off gabapentin and all neuropathic pain drugs. Still use a weak opioid but when possible I try to distract myself with physical action or just taking my focus away.
I also found roller bars/roller balls (mine) help me out a bit, no idea why but it hurts like hell when doing it but ten, twenty minutes after it calms down and can help avoid my pain meds.
Many board games use cards (properties in monopoly, territory cards in Risk, etc.), which can be difficult for a quad to hold, see, or memorize. I highly recommend purchasing something similar to this Playing Card Holder. It is large enough to accommodate an entire handful of cards, and it's transparency allows for viewing even the lower part of the cards.

I'm a c6/7 level injury. I have spotty sensation. I found the vibrator linked to be able to bring me to orgasm quite reliably. It is available from Brookstone even though the link says it's unavailable. It comes with three attachments. There are three things that make this the best one I've ever used
Regarding point 3, the other convenience of the 4 heads straddling my penis helps keep the stimulation in place, which allows me to use both of my quad hands to hold the handle of the vibrator.
https://www.amazon.com/Promotional-Brookstone-Active-Handheld-Massager/dp/B0124SHT72
Stim pads maybe? They help me tire my legs out. Keeps the blood flowin too.
Here is the one I use. But there's a bunch of smaller cheaper ones you can get to see if you like em.
https://www.amazon.com/Wahl-4120-200-All-Body-Powerful-Therapeutic/dp/B000EQS33G
Here is my best recommendation for something thats affordable. works for myself and Ive talked to others who have successfully used it as well. Hitachi is probably the next best. There are other toys out there too! The specs you want to look for is high amplitude compared to frequency the higher amplitude of the vibration is what mostly facilitates Vibratory ejaculation.
As for a step by step I think just be relaxed go slow and explore what feels good. If you get reflex erections maybe try stimulating yourself manually until you are hard and then start on a low setting for the vibe. The head of your penis is the most sensitive area especially the underside. start slow and increase to the higher setting massaging the areas where you get the most response. Everyone is different but Im sure you'll have no issue finding what works for you! Be carful of AD the first time I came like that it brought it on pretty bad but has since not been an issue. Just slow down and take a break if you feel it coming on to strongly.
I"m not sure about that brand either but I got this memory foam mattress.
I like it. I now wear a sleep apnea mask which is uncomfortable unless I sleep on my back so I sleep on my back 99% of the time. I move very little outside of spasms.
The mattress can get warm but the support is great.
Moving on it is hard. I use sateen sheets whenever possible. They make it easier to slide.
Sorry to hear about the rough summer, but hang in there! I take two of these in the morning and two at night, and they have really helped with my UTIs. Cranberry pills
