8/10 startpage but I'm a freefag and disagree on your choice of OS and Browser.
Other than that is looks good.
Since your using Google I would check out the AJAX in-page search. Very nice transition and such. I'll try to find a link
Edit : (heres a link to the search I was talking about](http://tutorialzine.com/2010/09/google-powered-site-search-ajax-jquery/) I'm sure you could just change the code a bit to your linking
For those who want to take a look at it, here is the `.html` file (internal styling since its not that much): https://hastebin.com/rexujifozi.xml
I'm not very good at web design things so any opinions about the (rather sloppy) styling is much appreciated.
As others have said locally works, if I were to do that putting it on something like dropbox means you'll have access across multiple computers.
The other option is to actually host it with something like github pages: https://pages.github.com/. It's free, easy to setup and just make that url your homepage and you're good to go.
I'm glad you like it. =D. The font can be picked up from the Google Font Directory here.
Edit: Didn't answer you first question. Once I have the source cleaned up I'll post it up on GH.
Thank you, I edited and used some of the code from this: http://tutorialzine.com/2010/09/google-powered-site-search-ajax-jquery/
It allows you to use Google search inside the page. Although there are some limitations, it works well. Best thing is that it can be extended to other websites. You need 2 parameters for the search, website and type. The results are raw and thus I can placed and style it as I wish. I added FancyBox to so that videos and images can be viewed in the same page.
I'm working on a adding a SoundCloud widget to to play music next :]
Kind of...
The whole homepage is made entirely in static HTML, CSS, JS files. Most of the sub pages are too. So you could just use something like https://www.httrack.com or https://github.com/skallwar/suckit to download the site. A lot of the JS and CSS files are minimized, but also upload the non minimized files to webserver too. So if you need the uncompressed version of /js/script.min.js it would be publicly available at /js/script.js - Hope that makes sense. Good luck.
It was a nice project to test some stuff. There's a bundler named parcel Js but no framework. it's html-css-js. The graph is made with apex-charts. i choose it because i was I was looking for something light. I just played with the options to find a nice line.
i can push the source code if you are interested to have a look... and thx for the kind words
IIS is a Microsoft web server tool. https://www.iis.net
There should be plenty of guides out there on how to set it up. Don’t worry if they say to have certain windows server versions installed, windows 10 will be fine.
The submitter has already provided us with the source. Move your cursor near the upper-right corner of the startpage and then click the button labeled "Edit in JS Bin", or simply visit http://jsbin.com/kozemu/edit?html,css,js.
Hey team, great extension!!
So far, I seem to only have one issue and not sure if it's only me.
The weather location and forecast is different from weather.com or Apple's weather app. (i.e. It's currently 77° and sunny where I am, but Bonjourr is showing 73° and hazy. I disabled geolocation to see if that helps, and it does change a little, but still seems to be off a bit in terms of the current conditions.

Thanks!

I've pasted a static version of the html file, as it doesn't make any sense to show you the .NET MVC version of it.
There are ways you can get something set up for free if you don’t mind having a *.github.io domain name. Hosting on GitHub pages is free and you can use something like firebase to store all the data. It will require a little bit of programming knowledge, but there are plenty of boilerplate + tutorials that should get you started.
I am not sure how it works with the form. But I personally would just use javascript:
<body>
<input type="text" class="search"/>
<button onclick="performSearch()">Search</button>
</body>
<script>
const performSearch = () => {
const textInput = document.getElementsByClassName("search")[0]
const query = textInput.value
window.open("https://www.startpage.com/search?q=" + query, "_self")
}
</script>
Hope it helps even tho its not the exact thing you were searching for.
I guess you are redirecting to a local file (file://...)? Because If you load from a domain you shouldn't have problems with that, just use autofocus attribute on your input field. I tried to set the focus with JavaScript, but that didn't work neither. So if nobody else knows a direct solution, my best guess would be to use a small local webserver to serve the webpage. If you don't want to do that or don't know how, you could use something like github pages, if you don't have a problem with it being available to everyone on the web.
This isn't very fancy, nor is it fully coded by myself (please remove this if it isn't allowed, sorry !) but I made my own startpage using the website carrd.co! (if links are allowed, here it is !) it's my first time making something similar to this, and I'm satisfied with the result.
i liked the look of Clix - Icon Pack for android so i made a modified version of the numix circle icon pack which you can find here.
