The only book that may be specific to left-handed players is Timo's Book. He has his WebCoach service as well, which may provide additional content of interest.
If you have some competency in Mandarin or Japanese or are willing to decipher Google Translate, China and Japan have piles of material available, some of them on very specific topics, left-handed strategy being one of them.
I messaged you a link to a post I put up on Nextdoor a little while back. We built a covered ping pong pavilion in our backyard here in NE PDX and have since met and played with some solid players. If you can't access the Nextdoor post, here's a screenshot of the post (my contact info at the bottom). Anyways, hit me up if you're interested! :)
Hello there. I am wondering if someone could give me a recommendation for a durable yet transportable table? I purchased a Joola table (see here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002HWNVZK/?tag=cb-041325-20&th=1) but after less than a year of use from my church youth and college groups, the table fell apart. More specifically, the screws and cross bars that kept the table stable stripped out of the table under-surface and there doesn't seem to be a good way to repair it.
I loved everything about the Joola table: good enough bounce/play for my casual audience, lightweight, easy to store and transport. However, I need something more durable for our next purchase. Budget is ~$1000. Thanks for any recommendations!
There are some 3Star balls in bulk you can get off Amazon that should fo ya. Seem to have decent reviews and all, I’m gonna order some for myself as well.

There was an article posted about best 5 pre-made paddles that I read. I have a lot of friends just starting out as well and this cam from the article as the best starting paddle for shakehand grip, if penhold I'll have to recommend something else.. But here it is.
DHS Table Tennis Racket #A4002, Ping Pong Paddle, Table Tennis Racquets - Shakehand https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001IZXO4A/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_tXnQtb13Y2MK2R9M
Reposting a comment from another thread:
Perhaps an outlier data point, but if you can swing it (or get it as a gift) I emphatically recommend getting a quest 2 with Eleven table tennis and one of these lads:
https://www.amazon.com/Quest-Right-Handed-Sanlaki-Adapter/dp/B08K7766J1
It's surprising how close you get to stroke action you can use IRL, plus you get to play with tons of people. It's been holding me over during covid stuff. The devs are cool/down to earth/willing to chat about stuff and it's getting better all the time. New patches all the time, and lots of people willing to help you improve!
i like bigger double wheels like these but having a hard time finding them sold as parts.
I'm far from a pro, just a enthusiastic amateur who plays semi regularly.
I invested in a outdoor table just recently and am pretty happy with the choice I went with:
I researched a ton and even played on a few (Kettler, Cornilleau, Stiga) at similar price points. The Cornilleau felt the best and I also really like the giant wheels which make it way easier to maneuver around the yard and roll to it's storage position after. It folds open and closed VERY easily as well which means it's not a chore to put it away after every session. Finally it has height adjustments on each leg which make it pretty easy to get it stable on uneven ground. The only real complaint I have about it is that the leg height adjustment involves screwing this plastic foot in/out which can be sort of a pain in the ass sometimes.
The Stiga outdoor table I played on had tiny little wheels which would have been great if I only had to deal with a concrete driveway/garage but I have a gravel driveway and grass lawn to deal with so it was immediately disqualified.
The Kettler I looked at (the same one Costco is selling now) was pretty good in terms of wheels and folding features and what not but the table didn't feel as good in play.
I also bought the cover for the table when in folded position and I'm less happy with that. It's extremely thin and I can see it ripping easily as time goes on. However, we've got a seamstress in the family and I'm going to have them copy it with some more robust fabric once that happens.
You are unlikely to find something that will directly work, especially a retractable net. However, if you're willing to get creative, you can make it work. I recommend a setup like this:
Buy a cheap retractable net from Amazon like this https://www.amazon.com/DerBlue-Retractable-Adjustable-Replacement-Accessory/dp/B01GVRK2F8/ref=asc_df_B01GVRK2F8/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=167128853713&hvpos=1o9&hvnetw=g&hvrand=14121458304370614124&hvpone=&hvpt...
Cut 2 wood shims as described in the picture. Clamp the wood blocks to the table with a couple of 5 inch C clamps. Then use the spring loaded clamp on the net to attach the net to the wood shims.
Diagram of what I'm describing located here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ySbiaYdJS_mT3g8_mGeA9RhPKVLaC_FO/view?usp=drivesdk
> celluloid balls
they are different, you don't want practice with them
I selected random balls from amazon, 50 balls cost $10
Best table tennis table under 300? Outdoor would be preferred.
Any other recommendations?
My kids are beginners that absolutely love table tennis. I booked a coaching session and she recommended we pick up a better racket (currently use a sporting goods racket). We heard good things about the Palio Expert 3, which is $39.99 but also noticed the Stiga Nitro racket which is also $39.99 but from $79.
Does one of these rackets outperform the other?
Is the sale racket a better value?
Thanks in advance!
Would this be all I need, then?
I just got my bat, by any chance if you know if I can use Bondex Worktop Oil to seal my blade or do I have to buy a lacquer or varnish?
https://www.amazon.de/-/en/Bondex-Worktop-Oil-500-ml/dp/B0146NXDNW
looks like you can remove that entire plastic black part by unbolting it. you should probably get this one. https://www.amazon.com/JOOLA-Professional-Aluminum-Indoor-Outdoor/dp/B088KNR7JF/ref=sr_1_10?crid=3DY632U1982L2&keywords=table+tennis+net&qid=1661369519&sprefix=table+tennis+net%2Caps%2C64&sr=8-10
it has a wide clamping area which you will need because of that gap.
https://www.amazon.com/JOOLA-Mini-Table-Tennis/dp/B0012QP0P6
This isn't exactly that one, but its pretty close. There is a tournament in the midwest that has mini-matches on these, its quite fun.
it looks like an stiga sponsered table, might just be an oneoff thing they gived to the national team
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087WTS4BL
i found this from amazon, but for that price you might just want to look for a a small board like 5 bucks from local wood store or ikea and some paint and make it your self for around 20
Hi yall, I'm a beginner/intermediate who has been playing for 6 months (self-taught) and would like to buy a new racket to improve/play in clubs.
My playing style : All+ to Off-
Current build: Cheap 1mm inverted Stiga bought from Amazon (link)
I play a lot of mid range and I have a strong attack on the forehand. I am a penholder My current equipment: blade: tibhar samsonov alpha sgs fh / bh : tibhar vari spin (1.8 fh / 1.5 bh)
After 6 months, I enjoy looping and playing mid-range with forehand attack mainly. I'm a shakehand player. I would like to develop my serves (for third-ball attacks), pushes, and backhand loop/drive/flick, so this is what I'm considering a flexible blade with hard rubber combo:
Blade: Xiom Fuga
FH (black): 729-5 or DHS PF4 40+ (both 41-42deg, 2.2mm or max thickness)
BH (red): 729 Focus 3 Snipe (<40deg I think, 2mm thickness)
Since these are "Chinese rubbers", will I get by playing with them unboosted?
My budget around $65-70 (I'm from Asia, so I'm buying them from a local shop). I also did some researched and expect the racquet to weight ~175g. You can suggest me any changes if you like! Thank you in advances =)
You probably don't need to wait to "invest" in a pricey robot, especially if your level isn't high. You can get an iPong v300 robot for around $150 new and around $100 used. I got mine used from Amazon for under $100, around a year ago, and would recommend it as a great value for the price. There are reviews about the motor going bad and frequent jams, but mine has been running well so far.
It's $131.99 today (new): https://www.amazon.com/iPong-Table-Tennis-Training-Robot/dp/B096NMTMDT
This may be more storage than you need, but a hiking/camping backpack checks all the boxes on your list, it just looks a bit out of place and may be a bit big. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07G5R12C6/ref=cm_sw_r_em_api_i_YW6KPSEM4AXPMGB2612D
OP, 100% vouching for this table as well. It’s a quality and sturdy table that’s served me well for a few months. If you want to go a bit cheaper, you can even do the 18mm one for $450ish. Like many have pointed out, consistent bounce will not likely be a deal breaker for new players.
One thing id also recommend is to get a serve catch net (I got this one: JOOLA Rolling Table Tennis Ball Catch Net - Foldable Ping Pong Practice Net with Wheels, Collection Net for Ping Pong Robots, Serves and Multi-Ball Training https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00V4H43F6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_XC4DD7VCVHXSDN41B91Z) so she can practice serves whenever she’s alone. That’s one of the things that your mom can consistently work on by herself and will also help with real matches.
Hi, can anyone tell me if this is good for a beginner penhold player? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dynasty-Extra-Penhold-Table-Tennis/dp/B09C6DHT4Z/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?crid=37O3HVFILA40Z&keywords=dynasty+extra&qid=1650405449&sprefix=dynasty+extra%2Caps%2C117&sr=8-1
It should be OK but don’t expect it to last. For similar money I prefer the Palio.

Been playing once a week for two years against a friend. We do a best of 7 every Tuesday. We’ve gotten pretty good. This is the paddle I have been playing with for the past 6 months. Before that I had a killer spin. Would the one you mentioned be an upgrade? Think I’m ready to go up a level. Any advice would be appreciated.
Hi guys, I'm looking to buy a ping pong table. Nothing too fancy, it's mostly to have fun, not train for competition or anything. The table will be located in the basement at night / winter but we also plan on playing outside in the backyard when the weather is good so I need something that is easy to move around (on grass and dirt) and can withstand some occasional rain / nights under the stars (I don't want the table to die right away if I forget to bring it back inside one night). My budget is around $500.
Looking online, I found this Joomla table:
https://www.amazon.com/JOOLA-Indoor-Outdoor-Tennis-Weatherproof/dp/B07BQQ6YLX?ref\_=ast\_sto\_dp&th=1
What I like on paper:
What do you think? Is this one good enough or would you recommend something else?
Cheers
I bought the Mapol 3-star 40+ and they work well.

I've really enjoyed this book, called Table Tennis for Thinkers. It has a strategy for each playing style, and sections for each of these types of rubbers (both as the player, and the opponent!) Highly recommend it - it's even free if you have kindle prime! The only caveat I would give is that it was published in 2013 before the most recent ball change, so the section of defenders is not as helpful now that the ball rotates less - but besides that, it's all spot on. https://www.amazon.com/Table-Tennis-Tactics-Thinkers-Hodges/dp/1477643788/ref=sr\_1\_5?crid=2Y77ZYBXW795M&keywords=table+tennis+for+thinkers&qid=1642345336&sprefix=table+tennis+for+thinker%2Caps%2C83&sr=8-5
Hey man, what do you think about this table for 200$
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/862587420924763/?ref=messenger_banner
I couldn't quite find the model online. Good stuff though man great read.
You want a thick table (an inch is ideal, you could get away with 18mm or 3/4 inch) and nice beefy heavy duty legs. One accidental kick and the toothpicks holding up that MD Sports table would be toast.
Compare the legs of the 13 vs 15 vs 18 vs 25mm tables on this link to see what I'm talking about

I like my el cheapo setup bought from Amazon for under $200 in April this year: iPong v300 robot (I bought a "like new" used model on Amazon for $120), iPong catch net ($35), 100 kevenz 3-star balls ($12) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016A7UMV8/
Yes I have this: ASICS Men's Gel-Blade 7 Court Shoes.
I think it was the same price but I got it in store for about $90.
It looks like a lot of aliexpress setups ship free to Australia. I think something like this is your best bet: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-Shipping-Galaxy-W-6-Table-Tennis-Blade-With-2x-RITC-729-FOCUS-III-Rubber-With/1462204930.html
Awesome thanks. If I decide to purchase from tabletennis11, When selecting the racquet it's giving me these strange options for handle https://gyazo.com/705ad3a721c9f0233cd17451a6fb0832
Any idea what these mean?
Awesome, Thanks for all the help! I'm 100% new to this community but It's already clear that it's really friendly and helpful, haha. I'm really looking forward to dedicating myself to getting good at this.
A couple questions though, if you are able to answer. http://www.tabletennis11.com/other_eng/yasaka-mark-v On this website I'm looking at, Do i add the item twice in the car, One with the 2.0 Red, And one 2.0 Black? (Also, Is there a difference between the colours or is it just cosmetic?) https://gyazo.com/847b51a1a98c726c27ef77be1a8a4d1c
And also, When ordering a blade it's giving me an option for a free blade lacquering, do I want this?
If you want to get something more basic as you are a beginner and also have some fun with colors here is a $25 option which is pretty decent -
STIGA Pure Color Advance Table Tennis Racket - Performance Level Ping Pong Paddle https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009SGJ8AK/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_YZ7RQ40WTBB7TS7E34CT
Did a lot of reading instead of working today :P
For the blade, I'm thinking of going with the Donic Appelgren All Play per your suggestion. For the rubbers, Yasaka Mark V looks great ~~but a bit above my budget, so I am opting for the 729 Focus 3 Snipe that was recommended by unix04. Reviews seem to indicate it has similar qualities and it's half the price of the Mark V. I can get the rubber in 2.1mm only which I am hoping will be OK for both forehand and backhand.~~
~~Any thoughts on this setup?~~
~~I've got a bit left over so will spend it on this case, protective sheets and edge tape.~~
Edit: See my update in main post, changing my mind about the rubbers. Probably only 1 rubber will be Focus 3 Snipe, the other will be something more expensive.
Is this the glue?

If you're coming from a Stiga pro carbon and have been playing for 3 years, I'd say you need to try a legitimate beginner paddle first before buying a 250 dollar setup that will send everything 3 feet past where you are aiming.
Even something as cheap as this Gambler premade will be much faster than your Stiga: https://www.amazon.com/Gambler-Custom-Professional-Tennis-Paddle/dp/B012DOVXQK
This would be a solid beginner’s paddle. It’s better than any shit you’ll get at the sporting goods store.
How does the premade buster combo compare to the Butterfly 401? I've been playing with the Butterfly for a while and it is starting to show some signs of wear. I'm curious how the rubbers perform at similar price points.
I've been using this case for my jpen paddles for years. The cork fits nicely into the insert
The BBC website is not accessible from abroad so you won't even be asked for a postcode or address because this steps happens after the validity of your location. How it works is that the first part of each IP address in the world is associated to a specific country so it's easy to locate someone based on that. It's when VPNs come into play by acting as a relay to pretend you access iPlayer from a different location.
So your answer is to use a VPN. NordVPN works very well and have thousands of relays (servers) all around the world.
Good luck and enjoy watching.

It's surprising how close you get to stroke action you can use IRL, plus you get to play with tons of people. It's been holding me over during covid stuff. The dev is cool/down to earth/willing to chat about stuff and it's getting better all the time. Next patch includes settings for anti-spin and pips!

This is exactly how my table looks when I first set-up in the backyard patio before I make any adjustments. I put shims under the middle section to prop up the lower side and then do a quick check with a level. The lips get fairly close but since my DHS post is the screw clamp style, it makes it level. I hope this helps!
Hi! I'm a beginner looking for a good backhand rubber within the 20-40 dollar range. I don't really have a defined play style yet, so I'm just looking for a rubber that has good feedback/responsiveness/durability that I can learn all the important backhand strokes on.
If it helps, I currently have a Butterfly Petr Korbel blade with DHS Hurricane III (black, 2.15) on forehand. I really don't want to go replacing my blade, so it would be great if the BH rubber also works well with that specific blade.
Thank you so much in advance!
Butterfly makes some nice shoes. I’ve had a pair of Lezoline Zero which seem indestructible after 3 year of heavy heavy use. I found a link but they seem like they’re discontinued. The updated models look really cool though with some funky colors: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074774CG9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_0mH2FbZAYXERA
Whatever robot you buy, get a net to accompany it. Otherwise, you'll spend at least double the amount of time picking up the balls as you'll spend playing.
If you get a table-top robot like the Tibhar Junior or an iPong, this one works perfectly well and is only 30 dollars.
Not popular but if you would like a set of cheap balls that perform VERY similar to the Nittaku 3-star balls, look into the Kevenz 3 star training balls on Amazon. I bought them in bulk to use with a robot and found they had a very similar feel to the Nittaku and performed the same in a bounce test.
Also, they are only $10 for 60 balls.

First option is pips out without any sponge and second option is pips out with some sponge. Sponge lets you generate spin, but much less than with modern rubbers.
Just kidding, I like your backhand! However I do feel like you're a bit stiff on the table.
Highly recommend getting thingies to lock your glasses as they are a total game changer for me. No more slipping glasses!

hello, I'm a beginner. I want to buy a new racket from Ebay, Amazon or aliexpress (Free shipping to Israel). I need a lot of control and my budget is 25$. I thought about this racket: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LZEWZGE/ref=as_at?creativeASIN=B002GJY338&linkCode=w61&imprToken=7W7.v.fBBAwwLaWaXHhVIQ&slotNum=6&tag=bpptrpaddle-20&th=1
What do you think?
Hmm, I’m looking at this on amazon and can’t seem to find if Ding Ning is on the box from the pictures shown
EDIT: Ding Ning spotted. They’re coming in next week, going to have some fun with them. Thanks a lot dude
I have $25 in Amazon Gift card and I am planning to buy my first racket. I am a beginner and hobby player. I tend to play defensively using chops but could also practice to be an all-around player.
Does this look okay?
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01K2PYM0Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_pMKLBbKGY8W3R
If there was anyway you could stretch to the Palio Expert 2 at $39.95 it would make a huge difference to someone learning the game. It's basically the cheapest "proper" bat available on amazon. Plus the rubbers are incredibly hard wearing so will last for ages and can take a beating.

But if it's for a school club I would reach out to some of the well known shops and see if they can cut you a deal/give you some stuff for free. Megaspin might be worth a shot. I'm in the UK, so not much help on that side of things.
I'm a little confused as to whether it has 2 carbon layers myself, although it states it's an all wood blade if you look at the picture from the amazon site I bought it on, you can see the black layers. If not carbon, what are they? The paddle they sent me also has a mauve/purple sponge on the black rubber and a slightly thinner (guessing 2mm) thick yellow sponge on the slower red rubber side. Not shown or mentioned in the sales blurb. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Palio-Expert-Table-Tennis-Case/dp/B016BQTCFU/ref=pd_ybh_a_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=XGJ087KB5DM05YESQF0M
Have you ever played with one? Or maybe you got taken-in like me, by its sales/marketing pitch. I've played over 500hrs with it over the space of around 30mnths, tried many other paddles and I can truthfully say it is definitely not a beginner bat.
Perhaps you can explain to me what the Palio Expert properties are and what it has that makes this bat a slow controllable beginner bat, maybe comparing its weight, number of plies, characteristics of blade ie, types and thickness of its plywood or anything that can be relied upon to make (comparable to a budget fast blade) it one of the slowest blades available.
Same with its CJ8000 rubbers, which incidentally come in 3 different thicknesses I believe, with even more variations of sponge thickness and hardness. Can you tell me with absolute certainty that with these rubbers on that blade, will give a beginner a realistic chance to have good control? because it won't.
Amazon isn’t great for balls but I’d get these for multi ball. Nittaku Japan Star 40+ Table Tennis Balls (24 Balls) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CNPQINC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ufoRDb5K8FP9C and it’s from a legit vendor. (Paddle Palace) you could get cheap celluloids for a lot less
Amazon says they’re the same weight

I think he's referring to this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BGSSXH1/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ABS62HWFNGMIS&psc=1
I did find this one during my searches...seemed to have better reviews than the iPong, but from what it looks like every there's 50x versions of this exact machine sold by every company in China lol. Any info on this machine would be great.
I bought a pack of 60 Joola balls for ~$10. Currently using them for a robot, but I don’r have any complaints about them so far!
The 2 most important things for me are table top thickness and the thickness / sturdiness of the legs. For just a bit more money I would go for something like this. It has a 25mm top and beefier legs. A 25mm top is ideal.
Would anybody be willing to help me figure out which table to buy? My price range is 300-700 for the right one. I am going to have to have it shipped so quality is super important. I was looking at this HEAD table (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GPDJG2R/ref=tsm_1_tp_tc). Any input would be appreciated!
If you want good balls you'll need to get something like the DHS D40+, which are about 60 cents each on Aliexpress and twice that on Amazon:
On Amazon, the Kevenz balls are as good as any, but they're celluloid and not super great quality. You'll find several non round balls and/or balls with soft spots in a 50 ball batch.

Is it possible to post a link where you saw it for $399. I see the following on Amazon and it is listed for $639. The price confusion is what holding me from buying one.

i was thinking of doing this but just ended up buying a mini table from amazon. i love it
I'm thinking about getting the JOOLA Inside Table and see that it's $400 on Amazon with free delivery. I checked out the camelcamelcamel website and noticed the price hovers between $279 to $400. But then I noticed that Amazon does sell used versions of this table with some significant cosmetic damage. Do you think camelcamelcamel is picking up the 'used' table datapoint and reflecting it as the price for a new table?
I'm hoping to buy this table at a discount but worried that I might be misinterpreting camelcamelcamel data. So reddit, does this table go on sale? Especially for sub $300?
thoughts on this paddle for beginner? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01K2PYM0Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
By the way, the free beta download is only available for 6 more days. Get it here asap: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.IanaaLimited.TableTennisRecraftedGenesisEdition2019
Hmm... I'm not familiar with any mention of that brand within the table tennis community.
Since you mentioned the table being a 'Joola mirror copy', why not just go with this Joola table that has the same specifications and retails for the exact same price?
I'm assuming these are the qualities you want

I’m going to play casually, will I regret not getting the 25mm?
Also, I live in a very mild climate area and I’m going to store this in my garage. Will the be 25 mm be less likely to have any warping issues over time?
Hey guys, my wife is starting to play and we were looking for a good beginner paddle to her, she plays penhold and looking in the internet we found this one, does someone know about this paddle? Also, is ok to handle this paddle as a penhold?
Read some good reviews on it but never saw this brand before, or if you have some other suggestion, something with good control would be good as she is starting to learning the basics.
Any tips is appreciated, thank you!
Can you please suggest some models? For instance, I'm thinking in the following tripod since it seems to have a nice height (50 inches):
I'm asking for experiences as someone might already have a nice setup which I can inspire from :)
This is most definitely a rebranded Newgy robot looks like the 2040 or 2050 model..
I've replaced my ac adapter for my own Newgy 2050 a couple of times. Here is the one I've bought a couple of times for mine.
Hello,
I was hoping to get some suggestions in purchasing a table. Essentially I'm trying to find one that isn't too cheap, but isn't absurdly expensive. This is mainly for recreational use in the garage with some friends, but I'd still like one that's pretty good. I was taking a look at this one, any other recommendations?
I bought this paddle and i'm just wondering how am I suppose to be using it since it has low control? Not sure if you have to adjust your playstyle depending on the paddle you have.

I've been looking, this is the only cheapish one on amazon at $435. https://www.amazon.com/Hathaway-Victory-Professional-Surface-Supports/dp/B0066NRPUS/ref=sr_1_3?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1512522471&sr=1-3&keywords=25mm+table+tennis+table
This is an affordable beginner paddle. I've used all 3 Palio precedes and I think the Master is the best choice. The expert is too slow and the legend is a bit fast for beginners and the rubber is harder than most would like starting out.

There's these. I found them at Dick's for $5
These, absolutely for the price. We have 'em at work and people are almost as good with 'em as they are with their custom paddles. I'd rate them allplay, with medium speed, medium spin, medium-high control. Average weight. They play really well.

May I ask why you want one that folds and is NOT two separate pieces?
Tables that fold in half and share 4 wheels between the weight of the entire table are (on average) taller when folded up and significantly heavier (since you are supporting both table tops) making them much harder to move. Just curious why you would want both of those disadvantages?
If you decide to consider a 2 piece I just purchased this STIGA off Amazon and am extremely pleased with it as a rec table for my house.
It is not a high end table but it bounces well, looks nice, is blue, took me 15 minutes to put together, and comes with squeeze clamps like you asked.
You don't need to spend a grand most likely unless you are used to playing on high end tables and really know what you are talking about... but since you are asking these questions... I would argue the STIGA is probably fine for your house.
Hope you don't take too much offense to my comment. Happy shopping and enjoy whatever you end up getting!
We had this table in college, used it primarily inside but we'd occasionally play outside on nice days that weren't too windy.
Nice material, great bounce, good quality. Slightly larger than regulation size if memory serves me correct. Would recommend this to anyone looking to play in their off time, or looking to take table tennis more seriously.
Should last a lifetime if taken care of.

$30 for two beginner paddles isn't expensive at all. The fuel injectors for my car cost $2400. This is a cheap hobby!
new player here, hobbyist. how often am i supposed to switch rubbers? using a paddle that i never changed or taken care of for 10 years!
does it make a big diff?
My hands get fairly sweaty, but these grips help me out a lot.
hobby player, been using this for 10 years: (only played like 2-3 of those yearS) https://www.amazon.com/Butterfly-8252-Derek-Tennis-Racket/dp/B0008G2V3U/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
never knew about taking care of it since im just a hobbyist. is it in bad condition now because of rubber, etc, or is the paddle just not very good so it wont make a difference? i would like to start practicing strokes and learning spins
im a new player using derek may paddles from amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Butterfly-8252-Derek-Tennis-Racket/dp/B0008G2V3U/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
