TBH, I personally prefer having Tamas with replaceable batteries. It makes them future proof. AAA batteries will probably be around for a long time. Anything with built in batteries won't recharge after a set amount of charge cycles...and by the time that happens, they probably won't be under warranty anymore and you won't be able to replace them 🤷🏾♀️

I have a lot of these EBL rechargeable batteries and their charger as well. I have been using them for a couple of years and they still seem to hold a full charge and I have had no leaks or other problems.

Look for the 20th Anniversary re-releases. Gen 1 and Gen 2 are what's available, but I recommend the Gen 2. The game to play on it is a lot more fair since it isn't random.

I'm enjoying my eneloop batteries so far! Several other people on the sub use them too. I haven't tested other rechargeable brands to compare, but the eneloops have a higher capacity than anything else I've seen recommended, so I figure they should last longer.

The boxes on Etsy were expensive and would take a long time for me to receive out here in California, and I couldn’t find the exact binder inserts like the ones you showed me that are available here before Christmas. So sorry to hear that, stripped screws just suck. This product has helped me tremendously with stripped screws. It's a pasty, yet dry and grainy solution you put between the screw and your screwdriver to increase its grip. I highly recommend it, worked wonders for me consistently and it is affordable. That being said, I do not work for this manufacturer, or endorse them in any way. 😅
I’d highly recommend something by a reputable brand. It seems like UK Amazon is just filled with loads of e waste.
That is how I store my tamas. I use “linen” fabric ones that are a soft, more a cotton texture than a velvet, to avoid lint.
I saw videos about people using phone screens and making their own, but I was able to find a protective case, wrist strap and the screen protectors as a bundle on Amazon!

Dunno if you can find a replacement of the exact one but if you search “keychain with carabiner” you should find something similar.
Maybe try sealing in a container and spray Ozium in it? I know that to remove the smoke smell from cars, they will leave an o-zone generator in there for hours. I see that Ozium has helped some people with smoke smell.
There will likely be nicotine or tar inside of the Tama which you could try to remove as much as possible.

The clay never dries until it's baked, meaning you can massage the clay endlessly without worrying about it solidifying too quickly. After baking it for 15 minutes at 275 F (135 C) I let it dry before applying Master's Touch brand Acrylic paint. After the paint dried, I applied a single layer of silk varnish for the sheen.
Amazon Spain, UK and Germany all sell the Pix (and they're all the same one there's no different local version). Not sure where in Europe you are but hopefully you can get one much cheaper from there.

I like my Duracell ones. I have some from IKEA that are better. (I’m in Canada) I’ve heard that they’re the same as Eneloop brand. Or were, eneloop is now Panasonic and I don’t know if the quality is the same as it was.

I find taking tamas apart a little intuitive so I never really looked up a tutorial but I'm sure there are videos of people taking apart different tamas on youtube. Once you remove the back cover you just take each screw out and carefully keep an eye on loose parts that may fall out and where they go (I almost always drop the reset button lol). You're gonna need a pretty small screw driver so if you don't have one on hand I super recommend Japanese screwdriver sets like this for Japanese Tamas or this for Western Tamas
For the buttons, once you unscrew the board you can access the buttons on the front. I usually wipe each button back with a q-tip dipped in the 90% ISA and do a light pass with it on the button contacts on the board as well

The 2.5 flat head in this kit works on mine. You can just look for that specific size, but it can be pretty handy to have a little screw driver set around. Never know when you might need a weird size.

You can get the Tamagotchi Pix from Amazon NL, FR, or DE. Amazon FR has stock from the official Bandai store and you can get one for €60 which is SRP. The Pix has 6 different language settings including French. Only the color of the shells are different and all content is the same. It's the latest colored release and the gimmick is using a camera to cook food, design items, and explore with her pet.

the charging cable doesn't work with USB C (which is what thunderbolt is) so that's not an option, since you should only use the cable that came with it. If you don't live in Europe you should be fine to use a wall charger - voltage in Japan and North America is the same. However it's still not recommended by the manual, so what you might want to do is get a USB dock and charge from that. That's what I did. The thing I'm worried about is the luminescent sheen. Is that on the top layer? Would the plastic polish then remove that as well?
For scratches this deep, I’d recommend something a little harsher than just Polywatch and elbow grease.
I’d recommend a buffing wheel and like PlastX Polish. I had some alarm clocks with plastic faces that were really scratched up and I got rid of almost all the scratches.

yeah unfortunately i don't know that mymeets can be used reliably, or at all, on mac (parallels, bootcamp, etc). i don't claim to know exactly how it works but to me it sounds like windows might be having issues accessing bluetooth through macos. i don't believe bolter, the mymeets dev, has access to a mac to do any testing either.
just a quick search on the discords, people haven't had great success with mymeets on mac. you could try buying a bluetooth dongle to see if that works. it'll be a hit or miss, but imo worth a shot before giving up completely!

I found this really cute carrying case organizer at London Drugs where I live (Canada) and it is beyond perfect for my small collection. I keep my running tamagotchis in the top layer with the six slots so I’m able to take just that layer with me to work, while keeping my non-running tamagotchis + batteries and charger in the bottom two layers which I keep at home all the time. Well, actually my family friends are not acquainted with things like Yahoo Japan Auctions or Mercari Japan. They just only uses Amazon JP for all of my toy purchases.
Actually in fact, due to the dratted pandemic, the stock of items there now are very fuzzy that I can't tell how much of them are there per seller (and even the seller list is not clear!; plus, my Japanese level is pretty low, only enough to make names for my characters and basic communication. And plus, if I check the sellers of certain items (for example this upcoming TinyTAN Nano), I see the prices are insanely high, far from my budget (so far it is only about 2000-3000 yen (about $20-$30)).
That's the problem with the sites I usually need for making purchases from Japan. If possible, could you tell whether that Mercari JP works the same as Amazon JP, and what are its shipping policies? (if possible, hand me a link so that I can check and analyze the stock of items there). If you could give me a link, I would forward it to my family friends and tell them about the site and how to use it (the latter would need an explanation on how the site works).
