What's interesting is that he likely couldn't make this kind of splash without having accumulated the following he did via quality content.
This kind of in-and-out joke content (which is funny... but absolutely incompatible with thoughtful content like dunkviews or the TLOU2 vid) would burn out a huge chunk of his audience eventually. Still, you're right: his point would stand. He make more money getting *half* the views of the quality stuff if he chugged out stuff like this everyday.
For anyone interested, Creativity Inc is a solid book that spends a fair amount of time ruminating on this trade-off (from Pixar's former lead, who talks about the logistical balance they had to create between $$$$ sequel movies and the artistic and less financially rewarding films)
Custom mspaint skybox, custom mspaint ads that are probably still on an old hard drive in my basement somewhere, custom hat dispensers, custom obstacle course with custom vip section at the end, I think I custom built the movie theaters minus the actual movies. I changed the theme whenever there was a contest for themed places (I remember doing western and snow), there was originally only one type of movie in the whole theater but I eventually found more and spent the next several weeks swapping them out (my computer was so shit I was moving a solid 5 fps in edit mode and would freeze up my computer after a while so I could only do it in chunks at a time. I acutally planned out how I implemented the obstacle course so I could do it in one go). Most of it is free models but the obstacle course was entirely made by me (minus the lava and spikes). I was in the process of implementing a battle arena when I quit.
Seriously, I'll talk trash about Roblox nowadays alongside you all day, but I've yet to see a game that allowed the level of customization that Roblox allowed. Minecraft wishes it were that open ended. Also fun fact: JJ5x5, a famous old school player, started an early Minecraft let's play after he left, which introducted me to Minecraft before the popular let's players caught on.
Trying to figure this out. You can tell it has the "old" 360 box art, and I don't think it has the XBOX LIVE logo on it, so that might narrow it down (Pre-2010, single player only).
Edit: ENHANCE
just to spread the word, if youre buying overwatch on PC if you search "overwatch preorder pc" on google and click the first link it'll bring you to here: https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/buy/. Make sure you click on the tab to the left which is the OVERWATCHTM logo to just order the version without any extra skins or things for other blizzard games to make the price of the game $40 instead of $60
the reason im spreading this around is the 40 dollar version theyre selling is a bit hidden, so i might as well save some people some cash. but for consoles you have no choice as far as im aware its all 60 dollars
it was taken off of steam. it doesnt look like popcap is supporting it anymore.
looks like you can get a physical copy from third party sellers on amazon though
He could play cave story on pc if he binds the keys right. I beat it without much problem one handed because I wanted to be able to multitask while I played. Didn't really feel weird or more difficult than playing it two handed once I got used to it.
Really, if he plays on pc at all, he could buy something like this and be able to play most types of games with the right keybindings.
EDIT: Also, I found this page which might be something for him to read into. http://onearmedgraphics.com/chronic-pain/one-handed-gaming/
