I liked Pitch's old website so much that I wanted to develop it in Webflow to learn, to give the project to others to learn too, and to show once again what Webflow is capable of - 100% visual development, no custom code was used.
Link to the project to clone it too: https://webflow.com/website/Pitch-Webflow-Rebuild
In GoDaddy there will be an option to set the Name Servers. This can be either Go Daddy or another Nameserver. (Usually a primary and secondary are listed).
You need to know where the current nameservers are will then need access to that account to set the new A records.
You can check current nameservers using tools like mxtoolbox.com and use the dns checker

After looking around a bit, this cloneable template from Udesly is likely to be your best low-code solution, although it appears to require a subscription starting at $50 per year.
If you're more familiar with code, Plyr seems to be a deeply customizable option that would be able to accomplish this relatively easily. They have some easy to follow documentation on their GitHub page.
You can use https://builtwith.com/ to see how most websites are made, including Webflow sites.
At a certain paid tier with Webflow, you will be able to export the Html/css (minus dynamic CMS of course) and then host it just as you would any other website. not sure if the exported code contains references to Webflow though.
Yes - if your purchase any Site Plan, you can apply site-wide or specific static page password protection: https://webflow.com/pricing#site
NB - I don't believe you can apply password protection to individual collection pages (if you purchase a CMS plan and use the CMS for your portfolio) without custom code.
There are some freebie templates that are useful with Webflow and it will hardly require any more web handling. Most likely you’ll need to compress your images and etc. But check out the freebies:

Webflow is awesome. You might as well just start playing around with it, but if you’re serious I’ve seen Flux Academy for Webflow be absolutely thorough. Pricey though $$$ !
What are you looking to do? I had taught myself the basics, and was able to work up to this with the template www.drewroze.com
I hear you, and can confirm that the test has concluded. This test is a painted door test, and therefore does not fall into the same considerations as a traditional A/B. Painted door tests are visual changes to help inform our decisions without impacting the actual experiences of each of the paths a user can take.
That being said, we've heard the feedback and definitely understand the impact that tests like these have had on user experience.
thanks for the great response!!
i'm not sure i want to wait until Webflow implements this, as I'm anxious to start working on this right away.
thanks for the n8n.io recommendation. i'll check it out. it looks great.
right now i'm not worried about the outgoing email, as the earliest an email would have to be sent out is 18 years. so this is a project that would have to last decades and i wouldn't trust all of this data to be hosted with services that are not guaranteed to last. i will need to have something custom built, but this will have to be paid out from the revenue of the project.
i recently stumbled upon wized.io. i'm now thinking that i could do this whole thing with webflow, wized as the backend and user interface and maybe airtable as the database. unfortunately this leaves airtable readable to me and i would prefer if i couldn't see the data stored in the database, but i'll just have to work with this :D
has anybody here had experience with wized?
so, to dumb down my initial monster of a post, this is what i really need, now that have had time to parse some of my thinking:
everybody is telling me to use Bubble, as i can do everything i need, but every single bubble website i have seen so far just looks inferior design wise, especially compared to webflow pages. i really don't want to use Bubble :D
There may be a chart widget that could be embeded. I didn't find one on a quick search though.
For custom code: Chartjs is a open source javascript charting script. Here is some simple examples. https://www.w3schools.com/ai/ai_chartjs.asp It should take minimal javscript coding and a some css styling to make the chart result look like the picture above.
Here is an example of chartjs and webflow working together: https://webflow.com/website/Chartjs-X-Webflow-Integration
Yo, quit soliciting. This subreddit isn’t the place to spam your company. Help others out or leave.
To OP: I would recommend using a ready-made solution (e.g. Discourse), and embedding it into Webflow as needed.
Hey, first day back of the year here, so I apologize that I don't have time to explain it in detail. But, this template utilizes what you're talking about on their 'Process' page - http://splash-template.webflow.io/process
You could open the template in the designer to see how they did it and try to recreate it with you're own spin. https://webflow.com/templates/html/splash-ui-kit-website-template
Clone a free Webflow template like Grit as one of your free starter projects. It already has multiple pages included. You can also sign up for a new Webflow account (you do happen to have another email address, right :)
Might be able to use something like this, but set it to affect the logo rather than a background image.
https://webflow.com/website/Random-image-on-reload
Dunno how you'd do that, but that'd be where I'd start :)
Here is an example of something close to what I mean. Just looking for something with possibly more options.
https://webflow.com/website/neomorphism-elements?ref=showcase-search&searchValue=neomorphism
You can achieve this by setting up a reverse proxy.
This guide breaks down how to accomplish it if you are using Cloudflare.
With pleasure!
Here's a cloneable that explains in detail how the interaction works for both directions and it could be binded with various components.
>It was clearly built in webflow since it was featured on their blog here: https://webflow.com/blog/maximalism-web-design
If you look at the source code, it seems like it was built in Wordpress. The featured websites on the blog explicitly name the ones built with Webflow. Not all of them are.
Webflow has a cloneable you can use as a starting point if you don't want to click out to a PDF
even that though isn't gonna work i'm realizing because it's not a direct link to the file –– you need a hotlink like seen here https://zapier.com/learn/how-to/generate-direct-dropbox-link/
Yeah I somewhat understand but also its frustrating, I ended up finding uploadcare being a great workaround works seamlessly with Webflow forms too.
the bonus being the free plan is perfect for my needs
Take a look at the webflow university video on grid layouts. Might not be best practice for this but it’s good to know either way.
Not sure if you can remove those from YouTube embeds but I know you can remove the title and play button on Vimeo embeds if you have a paid account. I recently used plyr for my videos so I could customize the interface to my liking. They have a pretty solid tutorial that you can just follow step by step
I've found Webflow to be pretty limiting in terms of prototyping. For prototyping a web app with any sort of complexity, I'd really recommend trying out Bubble.io . Responsive design with it has been a pain compared to webflow, but they've set a pretty high bar to beat in that regard.
Industry standards can vary based on technology. Webflow makes a lot of sense if you know why you’re choosing to lay things out the way you are.
I would look at free code camp and go through their front end lessons. Everything is free and broken into very easy to follow steps. If you decide you’d like to go more in depth I would look into treehouse. They have a wealth of courses and have added a lot of design courses which are easy to follow and comprehensive. It’s a subscription so everything in the library is at your disposal for the same fee. And they have a free trial.
I actually designed a template for real estate businesses over on the Webflow Template store. I'd be happy to help fit it for your client.
I couldn’t find one specifically for the SE page but people often make clones of Apple pages in Webflow like this one for the 12 Pro https://webflow.com/website/iPhone-12-Pro-Rebuild. There are also video tutorials you can probably learn a lot from.
You need to buy the CMS plan, its the cheapest that allows you to use a custom domain and CMS items. It's pretty easy to make a blog, this is well documented in lots of webflow's tutorials, or you can watch some youtube videos about this subject as well just search for "webflow blog cms"
This isn't a page builder solution like you see on other platforms, but realistically that sort of thing is rarely what people actually need. From my experience if you give someone a page builder setup they keep coming back for more modules and tweaks and alsort of other nonsense.
We use a setup like I described for a couple of different clients including our own website, and it works quite well and give you a very custom solution. You have to make sure you label everything well and have thought out the design beforehand but it is a viable solution. Webflow use something similar themselves here. In all honesty you probably don't want non designers building custom layouts restricting that will give you a much more cohesive site.
Here's the link to the rebuild.
And the link to clone it.
Almost no custom code was used. I used just a little for insignificant stuff.
Likely wouldn't work identically to this, but one idea would be to replicate something like this in the background:
https://webflow.com/website/Horizontal-Scroll-Layout-Example-with-Active-Menu
Instead of using a navbar as shown in the example, create an absolutely positioned div that sits in front of everything and holds the grid/block controller. Have the link blocks correspond to the different sections that would 'scroll' horizontally to the correct section in the background.
yes! these were examples I provided him with. just 2 different kinds of horizontal scrolling, products horizontal scroll, hero section w/ images that horizontal scroll.

https://webflow.com/website/Starry-Skies-Sticky-Horizontal-Scroll-Demo
https://webflow.com/website/horizontal-scroll-sections
Rather than typing out a full guide on how to accomplish this, here’s a great cloneable site similar to what you’re attempting to create. Open it up in Webflow and you’ll be able to dive into the layout and interactions used to build it, as well as access the custom code that makes it possible.
I had this exact issue MANY times.. So rather than wait for a fix from webflow, I fixed it myself.. Install the StyleBot extension for chrome.. then add "https://webflow.com/design" as a site style... Then input ".media-xxl, .media-xl, .media-medium, .media-small, .media-tiny {border: 2px solid red;}" into the style editor... now, any time you switch from the standard view, your work area will have a red outline around it without interfering with your work, and without needing to worry about changing background colors when you're done.. it's subtle but it seems to stand out enough to me to catch my attention... hope it helps
It will trigger on page load/refresh but you should also be able to set it to trigger on a button, this clonable project is probably pretty simalar to what you're looking for link
There are a few ways to go about this, here are some:
Here's something similar to what you're looking to do that was built in Webflow.
https://dreamlife.webflow.io/ - you could look at the source code to see how this was built or perhaps check the comments here as you may be able to email them and purchase the template - https://webflow.com/website/Beat-Store-Prototype
Ok, when I specify the /#my-section
in the "external URL" it tries to go to <code>https://webflow.com/#my-section</code> in preview mode. Tbh, I had only tested it in "preview" and following your comment I just did a publish and there it does take the correct home page and then it works!
Thanks!
I love Finsweet!
I think this will get you most of the way there for a somewhat simplified version of what they're doing: https://webflow.com/blog/creating-horizontal-scrolling
It's a single track, not the dual that Finsweet is using, but does achieve horizontal scrolling!
Thank you!
It has a slight learning curve, but nothing crazy. It's totally worth it since it gives you pretty much full design control. What really helped me was:
- View all Webflow University videos
- See how others have built their sites in the Webflow showcase
- YouTube videos
I first messed around a lot in the free plan and once I got the hang of it I committed to a paid plan. It'll probably take a few weeks/months depending on your dedication.
Hope this helps!
You can actually do this natively in Webflow with some custom code.
Check out this project by Alex for a walkthrough - https://webflow.com/website/Multi-Step-Form-with-Input-Validation
You can't use gtag.js in project settings for Google Tag Manager. You need to add the scripts to the custom code sections.
https://webflow.com/blog/integrating-google-tag-manager-with-google-analytics-in-webflow
Are you a designer or are you self-taught?
Your design is okay, but what you're doing "wrong" can be learned pretty quickly. It's actually not really wrong since design is subjective, but it doesn't fit the standards of what is going on in design. Your elements on backgrounds aren't bad, they just need some room to breathe. Try adding some padding in just about every element. What I mean is kind of hard to convey but hopefully, that makes sense. Honestly, it looks like if you'd just go through and get rid of all of the text and box shadows it would be an improvement.
I would recommend maybe looking at a template that you like. They're not cloneable (unless they're free, obviously), but even the paid ones allow you to check out how they did certain things in the Designer. Pay attention to margins and padding, how the pros do text on backgrounds, etc. Just absorbing that and making it part of your own design system will turn it into second nature for you.
Also, I hate the font but that's just me, and I had to say it. lol
This is beyond what you're looking for, but it uses similar principle dashboard example.
Found another with top + left + right navbar webflow meetup dashboard
Give it a try.
I've used it on several projects without any problems. Haven't had any javascript or IX2 interactions break. Try inspect this cloneable where I use it https://webflow.com/website/Webflow-Meetup-Dashboard
Yes, you can. u/minimxlarts originally asked this question however it was unnecessarily removed. We came up with a FREE cloneable project for anyone who wants to build on to this and create there own unique version.

Honestly I feel like the community's very active on twitter, follow the right people and you'll be able to find a pro in a matter of minutes.
Hey... me too... in MTL. Same thing over here. The group exists on meetup but nothing ever happened. There is actually a link on Webflow website about setting up meetup in your hometown. (See below)
If you don’t mind. I could DM you and see what we can do to build a TO-MTL meetup community around Webflow.
Here is the link : https://webflow.com/blog/how-to-start-a-webflow-meetup
Nice to see I am not alone!
Are you...unaware how Webflow markets itself? I've ranted about this to Webflow months ago: "This is terrible marketing. You're not explaining this with enough context."
https://webflow.com/vs/squarespace
If they don't want to be compared with Squarespace, they should delete this page ASAP. Anybody who is moving from Squarespace to Webflow would be almost conned by the ridiculous level of oversimplification.
Sorry, but this is all on Webflow.
As a follow up, I came across this awesome article regarding pricing:
https://webflow.com/blog/how-to-price-your-freelance-design-services
Check out their new UI template: https://webflow.com/website/Prospero-Ecommerce-UI-Kit
There are a few sections if you open it in Designer where they use column and row spans with grids. It's pretty clever. Hope it helps.
Build sites for the Webflow showcase https://webflow.com/discover/recent. Promote these on social media. Bonus points for making the sites cloneable in the showcase. Clients will start reaching out to you. I know a few designers who source almost all of their clients using this method. Good luck!
This is possible since Webflow just exports basic HTML and CSS (and JS if you're using interactions).
This is what Dell does for their team:
Show them the Webflow Showcase. https://webflow.com/discover/
A lot of the sites there follow a really similar structure to the one you're trying to build, and most of them are even more complex.
Export and host somewhere else? Yes.
Hosting your clients on Webflow, you can do it without paying, with client billing: https://webflow.com/blog/how-to-power-your-freelance-web-design-business-with-webflow-for-free
Possible. Just not even close to being worth the trouble. If you need a visual builder, check out Pinegrow Web Editor | Website Builder for Professionals or Anima | Design to code.
I didn't have to pay anything to get it working. Not sure what features their paid subscription offers. If you follow this guide https://disqus.com/admin/universalcode/ Grab that first box of code and add it to the page you want to add disqus to. In my case this was my cms post template. Then take the second block of text and you use an embed element to place it where you want it to go on that page.
Yeah the red dot navigation will move along the pages. I took screenshot then combined it, so the dot navigation is on every page. Check out my game if you are interested https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Ia.colorhunt
