We might need to update that automod intro! I believe we're at 633!
[SV] So, happy that the scale reading has dropped below my flair weight, the one I updated yesterday! I actually lost weight during the day yesterday because I was in the bathroom every hour. I love the anti-inflammatory virtues of this WOE. I'm trying very hard to avoid anything that may bloat me, so dessert has been either small quantities of 90% cacao dark chocolate or whipped cream with berries and keto granola. So far, so good!
[NSV] I scaled down to the size large of [my favorite shirt](amazon.com/gp/product/B01DCT6YC8), I am wearing it today and will only by large and medium from now on. Also, I'm wearing [the new maxi skirt](amazon.com/gp/product/B07RGRW6KM) (size 16-18) I bought two weeks ago and it's getting a little baggy. Fortunately, I think I can take in the waist as needed with my rudimentary sewing skills. I ordered a second of the skirts in the silver and plan on wearing it to a family wedding in NC in October. Along with [my new boots](amazon.com/gp/product/B01MS4EH8V). I can't wait for fall temperatures.
I am keeping up with my strength training routine, and because I am, my husband and son are too. :) They can't let a lady outdo them, right? Up to 10 reps of deadlifting 2 8 lb dumbbells. Tonight I will switch to the 18 lb medicine ball. I'm working up to my new 15 lb dumbbells. We do have sets of 35 lb and 45 lb which will keep me going for the rest of this year. We're buying a weight bench and sets of weights for Christmas. I love not belonging to a gym and since I can swim, walk, lift weights, and do cardio at home, why pay for another thing?
Dinner was steak, pork belly, and cauliflower. Tonight will be freshly grilled chicken and peppers and most likely another batch of aioli. I might pick up some zucchini to be grilled as well.
Off to drudgery. I hope your day is great! ♥
Good morning!
I'm updating!! I thought this week would be less busy but I guess this is just life now. :(
Tomorrow night we're going to a Christmas party at our friends' house that are also keto. No one else going will be, but it's nice to know we don't have to worry about the food! They're covering dessert and the theme is "Fancy Hor D’oeuvre that feels like Christmas." B and I are not fancy soooo I'm bringing my favorite discovery, using this Keto Snack Mix we got from Costco to make homemade "chex" mix. Chex Mix for me is very holiday nostalgic. I did this for our Halloween party a couple of months ago and it turned out so well!! You throw it in a bowl with melted butter, worcestershire sauce, and seasonings and bake it at a low temp until it's amazing. B's going to make keto cocktail weenies using sugar free ketchup, sugar free blackberry jelly, and little smokies in a crockpot. I'm excited haha.
Then I'm planning to drive up to Kentucky for probably the last meditation session of the year for me. I'm wondering if I'll really feel like driving up after a party the night before, but I want to go again before the weather gets nasty.
It's my boss's birthday tomorrow and he always asks me to bake him a pumpkin pie haha. So I'm going to tonight! It's my mom's recipe she made (and still makes) every year, and he loves it. So that's what I'll be up to tonight. Gonna put on a Sufjan Stevens Christmas record and pour some wine while I do it. :)
I hope you guys have a good day!!! We're almost to the weekend!
<3
Hello, egg fast day #2 is in the books. I broke after work and indulged in 1 tablespoon of hwc in a glass of cold brew coffee. I am down 1.5 lbs in two days! I will be sticking with it through Thursday dinner! One huge benefit is I am rarely hungry, and I could not finish my 3-egg omelet last night! The grilled cheese chaffles are a keeper and I think I could do them every day at work for lunch, and try to change my daily keto plan to be more egg-based.
I bought Carolyn Ketchum's Keto Soups and Stews book and I will buy everything to make her Taco Soup on Friday for dinner. It looks amazing! It is my first Keto cookbook. I usually just browse google if I want a particular recipe.
Lunch was egg salad and a grilled cheese chaffle with some moon cheese, a Babybel, and a cheese stick. Dinner was a 2-egg omelet with Havarti cheese. I had one cappuccino cheesecake in the afternoon.
Today will be much of the same, although I hope my afternoon hunger is less. I have tea to enjoy after my coffee is finished. Sparkling flavored seltzer is definitely a big help for me.
I'm below flair weight!
KCKO ♥
Today is my mid-year review with my new boss. For those keeping count, she’s the third this year. I am feeling very defeated and trying to not let that color my talks with her. We had a bad call a couple weeks ago and I need to apologize for it because I feel I behaved unprofessionally. I can point out why things are tough, why I’m stressed, etc. but I’m tired of the story. I want to just do the work and stop the drama. I don’t think it’s possible though.
I’m reading the book The Secret Thoughts of Successful Women because (like many) I suffer heavily from imposter syndrome. I can come up with all the reasons why I’m where I’m at and all my shortcomings and rarely do I feel I’ve earned anything. It’s really tough. I know that I’m not alone, intellectually I know I’m smart and provide value, but it’s tough to shake.
I am looking forward to the weekend and resting and then next week is a short week. The trip to LA for a wedding is finally upon us and I’m not prepared. My dress will be picked up on the 20th so hopefully that will help me feel better about it. I need to decide on what shoes to wear. Comfort and good looking, or not as comfortable but fits the dress better. I’m leaning on comfort ;)
Good morning!
Not too much to update this morning. I was slammed at work yesterday. B and I ordered poke bowls for dinner last night and mine was delicious as always. We also watched the penultimate Masterchef Australia for the season!!! I have to avoid Instagram today because I think the last episode already aired in Australia and I follow literally everyone from the show on there hahaha. I've been accidentally spoiler-ed every single year since 2015, so I'm making 2019 the year of surprise!!
We're back on a schedule I can sort of count on with B, and this tour even has an actual spreadsheet of dates they work so I can finally follow along (if I wanted). It looks like Operation: Painting the Kitchen Cabinets is happening the weekend of August 3-4. I'm pumped. It's still a secret and I think B's going to be super shocked and love it!! I've rethunk the backsplash - I think I like this best now. But this was the one I was going to do before. What do you guys think??
I hope you all have a great rest of your day! <3
Good Morning Beautiful Friends,
Sipping my first iced coffee of the year with the window open, sun shining, and birds chirping. Life is good! Oh, except for the exorbitant taxes that got pulled from my account this morning. 🙃
Update for any gnooda fans (I think there are a couple of us here if memory serves): they are donezo! Paola/gnom gnom said they aren’t coming back as she and her business partner went separate ways. Bummer - this pasta really worked for me and I so prefer it to shirataki/palm noodles. I did find this lupin pasta on amazon and ordered a bag so I will be the tester for the group.
I started hardcore weighing and tracking again this weekend. I have discussed my search to find the success I had pre-pandemic, and last week I took to MFP to see what kinds of things I was eating in Dec-Feb 2020 as I was losing consistently then and I was also about 8lbs lighter. I realized I was consistently tracking every single thing, every single day so...back to it. We’re talking measuring the nutpods for my coffee, the ghee I put in the pan for my eggs, the sliced almonds I sprinkle on my salad - things I have been eyeballing. After all these years you think I would have a grasp on portions but BOY was I wayyyyy off. I weighed out the cheese for my taco salad on Saturday night and HELLO. One serving of shredded cheese is like four strings on my plate - I have DEFINITELY been having at least 3 servings at any given meal. Don’t even get me started on my beloved Sunday night ribeye. Can’t one (1.2lb….) piece of steak just be a serving!? Life can be so cruel😂. I expect to lose some initial water weight (already down 3lbs just from Saturday and Sunday), but if I keep with it I really feel like this could work for me again.
Sorry for droning on! Hope everyone has a wonderful day. Love to all <3.
Good Morning. Happy Friday! Happy Payday!
I believe I ate too much last night. I was feeling accomplished after all my post work errands and celebratory since I had my first episode of RuPaul's Drag Race UK to watch. Luckily, as people, we can move on. I have done my treadmill and have my food planned.
Today, bf was a whey-Ketologie smoothie. Lunch is the last of the keto easy Asian chicken and cauliflower rice. Snack is a portion of Catalina crunch and a portion of dark chocolate. Dinner is probably scrambled eggs and green salad and some Spanish cheese (from the Costco "Spanish tapas cheese 'plate'").
Low carb tortillas were on sale, and I do have greens from the farm share, so I'm thinking tuna salad makes sense for next week's lunches. I'm probably also going to make another sheet pan chicken and roasted veggies for the week's dinners. I'm thinking barbecue seasoning would be nice.
Off to go get ready to work and pay those bills! I did craft last night: I darned a hole in a sweater and knitted two repeats on my sisters sock.
KCKO and drink your water!
I haven't checked in for a few days just a few random comments here and there. I'm always in chat though, just a little plug for that genius place.
Weight scarily high for me, I'm pretty freaked out, tbh. I don't know if it's part of the process with the ear infection and subsequent medications but I'm trying to just chill out. I haven't seen this number since I was losing weight 10 years ago. I'm prepping for next week, I'm going to my parents house in California. It'll be good to see them. I normally have them come up here but we decided to pack up the dog and take a road trip. Ask me later if this was a good idea ......
I'm planning to make a few low-carbs items for Thanksgiving, for no reason other than to do them. I don't actually need to bring anything. I'll do a cauliflower gratin and the sausage cheesy stuffing that was floating around here last week.
I plan to do a 2-3 day fat fast when we return from California and I'll be using recipes/ideas from Dana Carpenders books, largely the first book. I need a reset. I'm also going to stop drinking at home, I don't need to have wine every night. I LIKE wine every night but I don't need it. Hopefully the fat fast and the wine reduction will help get things on a downward trend.
I made Palmini noodles for the first time last night. Rinsed them well, dry-fried them in a little bacon grease, and served them up alla carbonara.
I'm not sure if I like them. They don't have the same texture as real pasta and their taste is not as neutral; they do have the occasional vegetable "strings" in them (a bit like artichoke). They were sturdy, standing up well to dry-frying and to the sauce. (It's been a long time since I've had pasta carbonara and boy was it good.)
Husband (who is not doing keto and dislikes "diet" food) loved them, and not just because of the sauce. At seven bucks a bag, though, I don't think this is going to become a pantry staple.
Will report later on the pumpkin spice chia pudding experiment.
Good morning and happy Wednesday!
It took an hour yesterday afternoon, 2 hours last night, and half an hour this morning, but I finished the data-entry thing (along with cooking, cleaning, and putting away a bunch of stuff last night; thank you, keto stamina), so I feel triumphant. Time to drink all the coffee!
Work today will involve amendment projects, tidying my desk, and making a Kroger run. Home today will involve setting up brisket in the crock pot, sorting paper, choir practice, and seeing how much of my overdue library book I can read. Tomorrow...should have a bit more breathing room.
Weight's up, but I'm blaming ovulation for that and not fretting about it. Today will be a 2-meal day; tomorrow will be OMAD of the aforementioned brisket; Friday will probably be OMAD as well.
Ever feel like your life is one big series of checking the calendar? I noted how full October was when it was still September, and I stand by that. Next week should be calmer, buuuuut who knows?!
Contemplating being Sophie Hatter for Halloween. Checking the sizing charts and wondering whether to trust them. L or XL? Decisions!
Hope you all have a fantastic day. KCKO!!
I think I feel like bullets again today.
Tea of the day is Allegro Northwest peppermint. It's supposed to start raining in a few hours and it felt like the best choice.
Dinner last night was a pile of shredded chicken, cauliflower, and jalapenos vaguely held together by a cream cheese sauce. I made bacon bits to go on top which my teeth were sorely opposed to.
Dinner tonight... TBD. Something with ground beef? Leftover ribs?
I forgot to take pictures, but my organizing bins arrived yesterday and our party already looks a lot better! Arguably my best purchase was two of these plastic egg holders, though. They stack and fit perfectly on the bottom shelf which is where things usually go to die in our fridge. I always buy two dozen eggs at a time so these will be fantastic.
Not much else going on in Kate-o world. Just trying to stay on track with my meds and my habits.
KCKO y'all! ❤
Last year I splurged on a slide out spice cabinet organizer. I call it a splurge because it wasn’t completely necessary, but it’s become one of the best kitchen purchases I’ve made. My cabinets are too short for full-size spice jars to go on the top row, so I also got some shorter glass jars that I use for the spices we buy in bulk like paprika and garlic powder. The size drawer I got only holds about 30 jars, but u/BRC_Haus and u/Gillyyak got us a rotating spice rack for our wedding that lives on the counter which I use for herbs to help keep my cabinet collection to a minimum.
Morning. I got the whole bed to myself last night! The hubs was over on the coast watching the manned launch. I was watching the inside of my eye lids. I do really like launches but not ones that early in the AM.
Wobble stool arrived yesterday and the hubs put it together for me. Huh I paid $79.99. Amazon pricing is weird. It's a bit too high for the ~~dinning~~ work at home desk but it's tons of fun. I had the hubs move it to the living room so I could use it instead of the couch on the weekend. It's also adjustable to work with standing desks.
Today is hunting down new tile. I really like the concrete look but I think tile might be easier. From what I've read concrete is at a minimum a three day process. Oh and not working! Whoop whoop 3 day weekend.
Alright need to get started making more IBIH green smoothies. Have a fantastic Friday!
We have these little sheep that go on your pans to leave room for steam to escape. Turns out the hubs loves them and uses them a bunch.
Edit: Almost forgot we totally clean the drain things.
In a surprising turn of events, the bikini top and bottom I ordered arrived yesterday and both fit... perfectly? Given that it's shark week (offuckingcourse) I was hesitant to even bother trying them on, but was very pleasantly surprised. The bottoms come up to just over my bellybutton and are a reasonable cut across the back of my ass without giving me that weird top-of-the-thigh muffin top that badly-shaped leg holes will do, and the double-layered ruching on the front means all the squishy bits that occasionally make me self-conscious are locked down. The top is both wicked comfortable and shockingly supportive. It's definitely a suit that screams "chubby chick drunk on the beach who DGAF because she knows she looks AMAZING". Not going to lie, I'm seriously considering ordering duplicates of each in different colors.
The ridiculous Hawaiian-print dress also arrived, and in a totally UNSURPRISING turn of events it's absolutely fucking amazing and I never want to take it off.
Hannaford had crab cakes on special this morning when I got groceries after coming off night shift, so I'm channeling Natty and having those for breakfast before I paint the chicken coop.
KCKO!
Hello Lovelies!
My period woke me up early, so here I am at 5:30 am. My alarm should be going off right now.
For lunch yesterday, I had a Ham & Cheese with Spinach, Mayo & Mustard, wrapped in the wrap hack on grilled on the george foreman grill. I had the Cheddar Keto Puffs from Schoolhouse Snacks as a side. I also had some chicken broth earlier in the morning. Dinner was leftover Turkey Chili. Dessert was a serving of Enlightened Chocolate Peanut Butter ice cream. Still no wine!!! What??? Almost 2 weeks, although that may be broken tonight...we'll see. Depends on how I'm feeling.
I have Italian Sausages unfrozen; however, am not sure what I'll make yet. I may sauté them up with some onion, peppers, and mushrooms. Maybe toss them in some marina with some Mozzarella melted on top.
I got some new Nautica flannel jammies and they are so very soft and cozy. It's making my crampy self feel a little cozier.
In other news, I tried to sew up my sweater yesterday and something went wrong with measurements. Dun, dun, dun...I cried. I was going to frog the whole thing; however, decided to just sew up the sides and call it a long vest or poncho. Maybe one day, I'll go back and decide to pick up stitches to knit sleeves instead of trying to inset them. The sleeves will be frogged. I'll take pics soon to show ya'll. I know my gauge must have changed over the 5 year period it took me to actually finish it. Lesson learned.
I also swatched for my next sweater. I have been waiting a year and a half to cast this one on and I'm so excited! Fingers crossed that my swatch meets gauge! The yarn is a freaking dream to work with too...finally some hand-dyed specialty yarn...sigh.
I hope you all have an awesome weekend, doing what you love to do!
XOXOXO
A local restaurant just debuted a Keto Menu. I was super excited to see that when we ordered Friday night. I got the Surf & Turf; it was pretty good! I don't mind altering foods to my needs, but man, it sure is nice to have the guesswork taken out of it!
So I really needed a good laugh this week and yesterday I found it in a youtube video for lupin flour pasta. Weird right? I don't know, I'm sure it's a combination of all the stress lately but I just couldn't help just laughing my ass off watching this lady using an attachment on her kitchen aid mixer to sift flour. Now if you have this or want this more power to you, I'm not making fun of you. It's your money and time cleaning this thing to do with however you want. I just couldn't help but find this $130 sifter a hilarious waste of both time and money (I do not want to clean this thing). On the plus side it does also have a built in scale so I guess that helps.
So having said that, do you guys have any weird gimmicky kitchen or home products that you just love even though they seem a bit ridiculous?
I have one I love that I think started out as one of those as seen on tv products, the drain clogger tool. They also sell them at the dollar store. It's pretty damn disgusting but cleans hair from drains like you would not believe. A friend of mine cleans and reuses hers but ughhh I'm not quite that frugal.
So I found this to be quite fascinating. It's apparently pretty tough to know the snowfall average changes due to changes in how to record the data - and everyone changed at different times over the years - but it actually appears that more northern areas are getting more snowfall and more southern areas are getting less snowfall. This claims that the last decade was Boston's snowiest, but we got EIGHT FEET of snow in a 3-week span in 2015. 94.4" shattered the previous record of 58.8" in January. So...yeah.
Keto Farms Strawberry Trail Mix is pretty good. I wish it had more pecans than cheese bits but the flavor is good.
Real Good Bacon, Egg and Cheese breakfast sandwich. Flavor is not bad. The cauliflower bread part is a little dry but for a quick breakfast that I can leave at work and heat up, it works.
I so share your sentiment about meeting new people/learning their stories! I mentioned in my update that it is one of the things I have missed most throughout this pandemic. I am happy that you were able to have that positive follow-up interaction with the smoker. We really never know what anyone else is going through...maybe just an off day on your first interaction? Always love hearing about the cast of characters you meet on your work trips!
Hokas to the rescue!! Until you are able to get some new boots, I highly recommend the Nexcare padded waterproof tape. I always preemptively throw this on when I am going to wear heels for a prolonged period of time and it keeps me blister free. also works great over a band aid on the blistered toe to offer some padding/pain relief.
Ooof this is all too familiar - seriously could have written this myself. I applaud you for wanting to focus on the positives and putting your energy into being the best you can be. That being said, you are absolutely allowed to feel disappointed in the lack of maternal relationship in your life. I am glad you were able to still spend some alone time with your dad this weekend.
You didn't mention BPD, but even still you may find this book helpful in dealing with your mother. It really gave me validation in what I knew to be true as well as methods for dealing with her.
Total sidenote: congrats on the SV! Sending you hugs <3.
Oh no, poor Luci. When Emma was younger she used to have loose poop all the time and these tummy treats helped firm things up for her. We tried all different kinds of dog food and nothing helped but the pumpkin and probiotics in these treats seemed to make a difference.
Good: Sir Kensington’s Garlic Everything Sauce. I got it on a whim from Whole Foods last week. It was really good on burgers, not as garlicky as I was hoping for but it has a nice flavor.
Also good: Wild Basin hard seltzer. My other boss recommended them to me and they are the least offensive hard seltzer I’ve tried as someone who doesn’t otherwise like seltzers.
Noooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aww man...that really sucks! I loved those noodles :( Now I need to find a sub for my mac & cheese. However, good news for spaghetti and fettucine shaped noodles! Liviva High Protein Edamame Spaghetti (5 net carbs per serving) and The Only Bean - Edamame Fettucine (9 net carbs per serving) are really tasty. I love the spaghetti made as Cacio e Pepe. So good!
I'm interested in hearing about the Lupin pasta. I've been using the Ground Lupin for breading, as well as making side dishes, and it's really good. Fingers crossed the noodles are too! BTW, I don't know if they will be the same as the edamame pasta but they only take 4-5 minutes to cook. They are super fast!
I love my sleek and modern kettle; however, I understand the need for something cute to look at too. I hope you find one you love! Have you tried looking on Etsy or Ebay to see if something strikes your fancy?
BTW, I showed hubby the meat site where you ordered your meats, including the liverwurst, and he's going to check it out to buy some meat. Thanks for the recommendation!
I am sorry to hear of your cousin's passing. I know you were very supportive of her and I am sure she very much appreciated the time you decided to making her more comfortable.
I have been mostly MIA lately but if you're goal in increasing fiber is to lower Cancer risk, I would suggest reading this book. https://www.amazon.com/Foods-That-Fight-Cancer-Preventing/dp/0771011350?ref_=d6k_applink_bb_marketplace# I read it after having a tumor removed from my colon that was in the final pre-Cancer stage. It is extremely well written and included references to supporting studies. I've purchased a few copies as gifts since.
got mine on amazon, I have noticed a difference, also changed my cell settings since that makes my vision blurry after staring at it. got these
Good morning, friends. I've been keeping it low key. I had plans for today, but they changed, and I am going to enjoy this long weekend. Two things I'm excited about, my new shoes in mustard, and I think this bag in wildwood will go well with them. I know I will wear both for our anniversary date in a few weeks.
I also just placed a netrition order to try some things I have not: Smartcakes, Pork King pork rinds, Lily's caramels, three kinds of jam, Sola hamburger buns, Sola maple chocolate pecan granola, palm pasta, etc.
Things are going very well with the chickens, we're up to 18-24 eggs per week. I need to kick up my egg consumption. I ended up boiling 12 last night and we have at least 18 left. My DH is about to cold smoke home cured bacon (using ice, our smoker, and it's 80 degrees out) to go with them.
Remembering those that lost their lives on this day, 19 years ago. It seems like it happened yesterday to me.
Be kind to yourself. ♥
NH uses Kanban and it works for him really well. I found a free task management system called Airtable that I’ve been playing around with this morning and I think it’s going to work for me.
I was able to download our current office project list from sharepoint and import it to Airtable, add in columns for all of my specific tracking items and their “due by” dates, and set up automations to send me email reminders when those specific items come up. So now going forward whenever the managers publish their lease term memos I can just add a line for that office in Airtable and my automations will take over on reminders.
morning from a stressed 3 hour sleep Mistakes and what feels like my period arriving 11 days early... seriously. RIght moving on because I cant do anything about either of those events.
I can however weigh my food etc today because of new scale which Ive decided doesnt exist right now lol. I am going to try to stick to 10g carbs today as I know my BS will likely be high. I can also take a mini walk for me later to try and help with emotional management.
yesterday was a good half day, I did a few "firsts" but then the afternoon was stressful. That day was half full ;p
I was also messing about with a TDEE calculator. this one So prepare for a wall of me being me.
Body fat calculator I used, body fat calc For me this is pretty accurate as I know at what Iwas when i got my body fat measured in a body pod. Id say maybe this was a bit kind by 1% so I rounded up to 28% from 26.5%
I then compared my macros with the keto calculator and cronometer and TDEE calc. Firstly, that keto calculator for my height and weight suggested 40% body fat.. lol what a bitch. SO comparisons
Cronometer vs Keto calc vs TDEE calc
maintain weight calories total: 1673/ 1524 / 1773
female, height 5ft 3, weight 157lbs, body fat 28%
pretty varied huh? My lived experience is that I maintain at circa 1800. However carb counts matter, 10g and under is my general barrier of entry of fat loss. north of 1500 cals +20g carbs = weight gain for me. 1800 cals +minimal carbs = maintain, 1600 cals +10g = my preferred macros.
For those that are not aware, I have a very muscular build. My wrists are 6.5 inches and forearms are 10 for instance and Icarry my fat on my bottom half. So if that is like you, you are more likely to have a wild variation in your results too. wow long way of sying YMMV??
right hours later, I need to go be productive and maybe eat too. KCKO ladies!
I have been bag shopping for days. I need a work bag I can haul my laptop and a lot of shit in as I move from classroom to classroom without hurting my back. I decided on THIS ONE.
I bought a bidet for my toilet and loved it so much that I bought one for the downstairs bathroom. Hubby was totally against it until he tried it out downstairs and then wanted one for his bathroom. They are fantastic and super easy to install! This is the one we have in all three bathrooms.
Also, I just checked my J4U and I'm sad we don't have the crab on sale. I would be immediately heading to the grocery store to grab some!
ETA: Wave hello to my Dad when you get to Jacksonville!
I do like the tupperware hamburger things but I got mine at a thrift store. Just makes portioning out meat for the freezer easier and it stacks a bit better when everything is uniform in size.
Ooh! I love Fage 5%...the 0% doesn't taste good to me. I love adding the Cheesecake flavoring to it with a handful of frozen wild blueberries. So good! I don't even put sweetener in it anymore cause it just tastes so good to me. I also bought Catalina Crunch Chocolate Vanilla (pretty much keto Oreo's) and like crumbling one of those on there every once in a while or sprinkling on some chopped walnuts, almonds, or pecans. Yum!
Hello Lovelies!
XOXOXO
Yes! Prime Wardrobe is AMAZING. I hate jean shopping and was able to get 8 pairs of pants delivered to me to try at my leisure. I loved it. I will also say, that I really like the Amazon Essentials brand. I've got a dozen pieces at this point, the sweaters and t-shirts (long and short sleeve) are great. They are my wardrobe staples. I've been wearing them since September and I don't really baby them at all. I will pull the sweaters out damp and stretch them a bit since they are partially cotton. But, I love them. I will say the Amazon Essentials PANTS are not good for me. They run super skinny and small, I did a beta test for the chinos in my normal size and I couldn't even get them up my legs. It was awful. I'm keeping them to help gauge my weight loss progress. :p
The things I use most are:
OMG Girl! I had to laugh when I read that you "braved" the Wholesome Yum site. I did it once on my cellphone and I will never do that again. You must get an app called AdBlock. It's freaking awesome for that site and TBH, all sites, by only allowing an acceptable amount of ads. I understand they need to make money, but it's mega annoying.
Foods sound yum! And I love that site for the hair care...such cool colors. I can't wait to see yours.
I use Pocket to save the link & look at through a stripped-down view instead. (Learn more at getpocket.com - and nope, don't work there, just have used the product for free for years now.)
Here's how that page looks via Pocket (hope it works?!)
Okay...here's mine! I'm one of those ladies of a certain age who have a morning/night routine so I have two of the 7 day pill organizers and do two weeks at a time. This does not include prescription medications.
Morning:
Centrum Silver Daily Vitamin
PhosphatidylSerine 300mg Per Serving (for memory issues)
Burpless Fish Oil 1000mg (cholesterol)
Zyrtec or Claritin (I switch back and forth between these two for allergies...sometimes I take a Sudafed depending on how bad my sinuses are that day)

Evening:
Burpless Fish Oil 1000mg (cholesterol)
Biotin 10,000mcg (hair, skin, and nails...recommended when my hair started thinning)
Vitamin B12 (promotes nervous system health and heart health, plus aids in the conversion of food into energy...blood tests indicated I was low on this vitamin)
Magnesium 500mg (supports bone and muscle health)
Milk Thistle 4:1 1000mg (healthy liver function...since I like my wine 😂)
Xyzal-D (during prime allergy time only...otherwise I'm good with just my morning allergy pill)

Used to take:
Vitamin D (I now just make sure to get sunlight during the day and I'm fine)
DIM supplement (I took these for two years; however, they stopped working for my hot flashes...doc prescribed me meds so I stopped taking them)
The one I linked you to only has cold water. However, this one (and it's less expensive right now!) has hot and cold water. And if you want one that doesn't have the feminine hygiene wash (I love this feature though!), you can go with this really basic one that just cleans the butt.
I bought Isopure low carb vanilla protein powder to make KetoConnect's protein pancakes and it works great. I think it works better making waffles instead of pancakes but both were good.
Genius Gourmet Protein Chips are just meh. I like that they are thicker and sturdier than Quest chips so they would hold up to dip better but I prefer the flavor of Quest chips.
Yep...it's the Lulupasta made by Wholesome Provisions. It's very similar in taste and texture to the Gnooda pasta. The other one that I've been eating is the Edamame Spaghetti. It's soooo good!
Ooh! I want pictures! I'm super happy with our outdoor furniture cushions right now, but we also keep them covered up with canvas slipcovers except for when they are in use. Otherwise, they would be full of bird shit and God knows what else 😂
Oh! Yes, I love Explore Cuisine and Liviva Edamame Spaghetti's. It has a different taste to it since it's not made from edamame. It's made from Lupin Beans that are ground into flour. I would say it's pretty neutral. I just made a BOMB macaroni salad out of the elbow macaroni. I can't wait to have it for dinner tonight after the flavors meld! Hubby is actually not waiting cause he thinks it's really good right now. You can get all four shapes on Amazon right now for a pretty good deal...about $10.00 a bag, or order off of Wholesome Provisions for $8.95 a bag.
You inspired me by that Hawaiian print dress and I ordered the white one with rosebuds. It's so comfy and I'm 100% taking it on my trip to wine country next week! I want to get more of them!!! It fits SOOOOOOO good. Although the teeny tiny buttons almost drove me crazy 😂 Once they're done up though, I can slip it over my head so I'll never have to redo them again 😂 Mmmm....crab cakes.
> Do you have a favorite audiobook?
I very much enjoy all of the Bridget Jones's Diary versions I can get my hands on. Barbara Rosenblat and Rosalyn Landor did my favorites.
My current audiobook is The Echo Wife by Sarah Gailey. The narrator, Xe Sands, is stellar. Gailey is quickly becoming my favorite author; their previous novel, Magic for Liars, was SO GOOD.
What a great night of sleep! The blackout curtains must be a nice change from the essentially non-existent ones at your last hotel. Or was that two hotels ago? You are always on the move I can't keep up with you!
I know some of your job sites leave...something to be desired...by way of amenities😂, but are you always able to find an outlet? A friend of a friend has a meal prep company and swears by these. I guess best described as a lunch box that you plug in and it slowly heats the food. I got one for my dad when his office kitchen was being renovated and he raved about it!
I’ve got two types. One is the backup type and one is the full-absorbency type. The backup ones are the brand Bambody, the max absorbency ones are Neione.
I really like them both! I wouldn’t say I have a very heavy flow so I can’t vouch for how they work for that, but on my regular flow days I get complete overnight coverage which is huge for me.
WTF is that seating situation🤔? Hmmm. Well, glad you were able to get some crab cakes and check an item off the bucket list.
Sorry about that trash work day. Don't let it get you down! Total side note but have you considered getting something like this to use in a pinch when your iPad charge is dwindling on site? Could come in handy for all your travels, too. I have a similar one and it has saved me during some power outages or if I just can't get to a wall outlet.
Drink your water!
Love the postcard idea! Going with the paper-goods thought— mini notebooks could be a fun (and v usable!) trinket to customize with baby's name using stencils, stickers, or any crafty means that strikes your fancy. (These are kinda spendy, but made in PDX. Lotsa affordable options on Amazon, too). Might also be nice to include a little note with info for signing up for Meal Train slots if that's something that new mom & dad would be into. Congrats to DiL and fam! <3
We got a pill popper to help with the mouth cover neck rub. The hubs already has a scratch from not being very good at the towel wrap. Highly recommend a pill popper.
"Rise and Grind" is one of my favorite phrases of all time! If I could ever find a cup that says that in anything but the obnoxious Etsy fonts, I would grab it in a second. Not that there's anything wrong with the Live, Laugh, Love font, it's just not me. AT ALL :p
You're a kitchen maven with the very best of us! I've definitely made English Muffin sized sandwich rounds with these silicone molds, but never thick enough to split in half. I think I'll try to make a proper burger tonight, rather than sliders on 3" biscuits.
So. I finally bought myself a scale yesterday. Purely as a way to track progress on my journey to decrease my metabolic syndrome. And not as a stand-in abuser.
I tried to step on it this morning, but I couldn’t figure out how to turn it on 😂 Maybe that’s a sign...
I started reading this book on complex PTSD from childhood trauma caused by emotional abuse, neglect, and/or physical abuse, and I’m finding a lot of insights in it. If you had abusive or neglectful parents, even if the “minor” sort, you may find it helpful. The book makes me feel seen.
lol. They are hit or miss at my local grocers. Honestly, they're so damn good, it's the one thing in my entire life that I've CALLED a store about when I noticed they were gone! Then VOILA! They were back last time I went. Looks like you can order from Walmart (ptooie! lol) or Amazon. I can't recall what I paid for them at the grocer, but I think $4-5? for one bag.
I make cold brew at work a lot! I bought something similar to this on Amazon and it's super easy to make. You just grind coffee course, fill up the cannaster, and then pour in some water. Let it sit out overnight, and it's ready in the morning.
The Simple Truth concentrate at Kroger is okay too. B and I buy that kind for home sometimes because you don't have to plan ahead. They have a delicious coconut one, and the vanilla is good too. They're unsweetened, even with the flavors, so you don't have to worry about that!
I bought this cube storage system from Amazon to house all my yarn. It's worked out really well...although I do still have four tubs of yarn that didn't fit in it. I'm trying not to buy anymore until I use up some of what I've got. I only put the doors on the bottom five and left the rest as open storage. It's a little messy right now because I need to organize everything on top; however here's a pic so you can see. Do not judge me by the size of my yarn habit :D
Conveniently, this little gem adorns the back of my phone, so YOU'RE NOT WRONG.
Happy Early Morning, everyone!
I woke up early and have a pound cake in the oven for when the brother-in-law comes over to watch the Broncos/Jaguars game in a little bit. Not keto-friendly -- I won't be eating it. Tried to take the dog out before I put it in the oven and she wasn't much up for that.
Yesterday we ended up going out for brunch spur of the moment and I had a yummy omelet with goat cheese, bacon, and ham. Then I ended up going to a Day of the Dead celebration in our town with my niece and her friend. It was a lot of fun and it's great to see such large community support for the event. They had a bunch of food trucks and while one of the girls grabbed mini donuts, the lines were long enough and I was still full from brunch, so nothing there.
I made a chuck roast in the crockpot so ate that last night. I should have enough leftovers for the week ahead. I still love my mini-crockpot that I keep at work -- it is probably my favorite investment that helps me to stay consistent with my food plans. I got a few extra inserts so I can "pack" all my lunches in the fridge for the week and then take them all to work easily.
Looking forward to some knitting while football is happening in the house. It lets me be present while still feeling like I'm doing something productive with my time. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!
Good morning, my lovely friends!
I made egg nog last night! Using the Ditch the Carbs recipe. It was delicious. I'm glad I didn't buy the almond milk one at TJ's! It's super easy too.
As anticipated, I'm currently 3 lbs up. I know most of it is water/waste weight since I worked the standing shifts half of the weekend. This too will pass.
I did not get meal prep done due to my back and fatigue. I will braise a huge bag of collard greens tonight with spices and two pounds of ground pork. That will be my lunch all week. I will be cooking salmon tonight with some summer squash.
We learned the hard way that the market box is not really suited for us. I have one more coming this week, and then will cancel the subscription. We have good markets here, a car, and the weather doesn't keep us from going shopping, so it's just not worth it for us. Speaking of the weather, it looks like a great week for sweaters and boots!
My cyber Monday purchases were two Echo dots and one will function as my alarm clock/bedroom speaker, one will be mounted on the wall in the dining room for music in there. For $19 each, it's a great deal! I'm doing some decorating in my bedroom, and then will work on decluttering this weekend.
I look forward to my massage Saturday, and plan on getting one again in January, maybe another in two weeks.
PSA: Costco has $8 off per package of pork loin. 3 per Costco card. We bought 24 lbs of pork loin for $13. The temporary tiny Meat Hole^TM is absolutely full. I believe the sale ends today.
Now to toil away. Have a good week. ♥
Hello, my favorite online friends!
So we are not going to talk about the PBS. Nope, not going to. Other than that, I feel pretty good, except I did not want to get out of bed today.
Today is my last work day until next Tuesday! I'm ready for this time off. Not only do I have tomorrow for packing/cleaning and preparing the house, I have a mani/pedi scheduled in the late morning. So jazzed for that!
Taco soup to finish and two flank steaks to grill tonight. I am picking up some spinach to saute with Boursin and a bit of cream as a side. Will finish the coconut custard tonight.
It is so nice to plan on packing clothes I didn't own (and would not have fit) a year ago, even though I have not lost that much in the time. Recomposition is a thing! I am looking forward to losing more weight, but if my body needs time to adapt, which seems to be the case, I'm going with it. I don't want to be the person who loses all their excess weight and then regains it because they change their WOE.
Tonight's goals: weights, some cardio, floors cleaned in the other three spaces of our public area of the house. Finish laundry so I can pack. Cute boots, jeans, and long sleeves here I come! Weather for our stay here.
KCKO
>I joke that their family motto is "we've tried nothing and we're all out of ideas."
Funny, yet infuriating. I'm sorry this is falling to you, friend, but maybe you are the best one to do it, since you don't have the same emotional attachment to the place. You could invest in a few of those ultrasonic mice/spider repellers
Kudos for the fun weekend!
I have also been having issues with my right hip and knee. I go to the doc this week and hope to find some answers. I hope your visit to the chiro provides relief!
FYI, I've been using this product (recommended by my hairdresser) to enhance the purple in-between visits. It works!
I get Purrly cat to take her meds by mixing it into one of these.
I second what u/cheryleb recommended! I bought this set for my hubby for his birthday last August, and he uses them every day. They are pricy but worth it! You could always try the single instead of the double. OR...this is the set I have 😂 It's a much different price point! Though, I don't know if they would be heavy enough for you since you do farm girl fitness.
I did watch Picard, and I very much enjoyed it for what it was, though I think the second season was really limited by COVID. I loved Seven's return, and really enjoyed the new characters. (I absolutely loved young Guinan! She was fantastic!)
I had to let go of the expectations set by the serialized TNG format, and remind myself that (as in real life) as the years have passed, relationships change, and this was not TNG: TNG... though having said that, I was very salty that not a single word was dropped about Beverly Crusher... like this was his close confidant and possible future ex-wife (the series finale), and... nothing, not even with the revelation at the end of season 1? She barely got a mention in the Una McCormick prequel novel (which is a really good read, otherwise).
I am SO looking forward to season 3, when this discrepancy will likely be addressed. I've heard that Beverly has a big role. Fingers crossed this is more than just rumor. :D
I bet it will be better to make a homemade sauce! I think my next experiment may be Pad Thai using Kelp noodles. I really, really miss Pad Thai.
I ordered this collagen powder because I'd seen a perimenopause Gyno on Tiktok recommend it because it has Verisol in it. Verisol has been shown in studies to help the skin and is supposedly the GOAT when it comes to collagen peptides for anti-aging. I got the acai lemonade and wasn't a fan of the flavor because it was bitter, probably from the stevia. They have a flavor guarantee so I emailed them and they sent me the unflavored. I've been putting it in my coffee this week. No aftertaste, and it dissolves easily. Time will tell as far as results but I am super happy with their customer service.
I was reading a FB page, A Mighty Girl, and they featured a book called "Girls Garage" for teens that want to learn to do all kinds of builder/repairer sorts of tasks. I bought, ostensibly for my granddaughters to use later, but it was secretly for me! Both of my folks were talented doers/makers, but they both sucked at teaching. I felt kind of powerless as an adult when confronted with wanting to do a project or needing to repair something.
Anyway, I'm going to read this book long before they will need it. If you are a women who never got to learn to use tools and such to build or repair, I think you might like this book. It's written for a 16 year old, but I found it quite thoughtful, and not condescending (maybe because it's written by a woman?)
Back in the office today after my relaxing birthday weekend and I’m feeling okay about it. My work goodies arrived so I’ve had a nice morning so far getting everything set up. The new girl is starting today but she just sent me an email that she was sent home due to covid exposure. So I’ll probably try to do some training over Skype and email her the training docs.
The IL’s got me an Amazon gift card for my birthday with the instructions to “buy something fun.” I had no idea what to get but eventually decided on a nice weighted blanket. Sleep is fun, right? Good sleep = more energy to go out and have fun? It’s something I’d probably cheap out on if it was my own money tbh so it was nice to pick one out based on actual criteria and not just price. I went with this one and it should be here tomorrow. I got a nice light green duvet cover for it, as well. The rest of my birthday money went to stupid shit like a new case and game storage for my 3DS.
Dinner tonight is going to be meatballs and zucchini because it’s DND night and I’ll be happier if I don’t have to do cooking that requires thought. I think that’s going to be the name of the game this week - minimal thought cooking. I’m definitely making meatloaf later in the week because it’s gonna be rainy and meatloaf is a good rainy weather food. KCKO y’all! ❤️
Hey all :)
> What is your favorite board game?
Absolutely adore Kill Dr. Lucky (by Cheapass Games, friends of ours). It's like Clue in reverse: you have to get Dr. Lucky alone in a room with no other players in the line of sight, then wield an appropriate weapon. It's so much fun. :)
Look! You can get it on Uncle Jeff's emporium
You know what happens when you skip the gym for a couple of weeks then start it back up again? Sore. You get sore. I tell myself it's a good kind of sore, but it's still annoying. I plan to head in to the gym again this morning. Gotta chase that sore away!
I took advantage of my tractor widowhood yesterday and did many things in the yard. It was even sunny and the cat + dog followed me around, keeping me company and doing crittery things. When it's been relatively rainy but not cold, the weeds just get crazy. I use a roofer's torch to knock them back without herbicides, but it takes many passes over weeks to keep them from taking over the whole world. I feel like some kind of goddess of fire as I wilt the weeds! Eventually, I will cover these areas with layers of cardboard and wood chips, but we aren't really there yet.
I'm making dinner tonight for DH, J and M, as they had another thing going on yesterday. Creamy garlic shrimp on linguine for the carb eaters, and a salmon patty for the extra hungry meat eaters like me. I need to plan this week's dinners, so I can dig out something from the Freezer Cave. Both DH and DD have birthdays coming up, but taking DD out for dinner is a logistical nightmare right now. I will bring them some kind of fun birthday chow, along with a little gift for DD: A Tamagotchi! When she was in middle school, these things were all the rage, she even demanded I "feed" it when she went on an overnight field trip. I love that you can still buy them. I also got her a couple of t-shirt dresses that make her current state of disability just a little easier. DH got his birthday/retirement present already, in the form of a Cosmic Crisp apple tree, which we planted last weekend.
FWIW, I have found that Nasacort works much better than Flonase. That and the quercetin & zinc supplement have eliminated the need for allergy meds for me. Worth a shot if nothing else is helping. Hope you feel better soon.
Howdy neighbors. All is well here, for the most part. I'm a bit constipated again which is frustrating and also means that I need more fat. I need to add back my afternoon coffee with cream to ensure I'm getting it in. I've been flirting with the idea of separating my fat from my protein shakes and that tends to cause me to not do either of them. My brain is awesome.
I just made a batch of kefir, using the Easy Kefir packets. I wanted to see how it worked in my routine first before investing in the actual kefir grains and going "all in" with that as a hobby. I've been working on adding more probiotic foods, like sauerkraut (again).
I'm reading the book "Super Gut" by William Davis (yes, the one of Wheat Belly fame) and it's absolutely fascinating. As many of you know, I had weight loss surgery back in 2008 which is how I lost all my weight. This book specifically talks about a number of issues that many who've had weight loss surgery face, which is something called SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth). SIBO causes a ton of symptoms in people and it doesn't get diagnosed very often. It's something that can be killed off by specific antibiotics but as the name implies, overgrowth, it means it comes back if you don't fix what is causing it.
There's a talks at Google with Dr. Davis that I plan to watch later on today.
Anyway, back to the kefir, that's the plan with it. If I can start getting in the probiotic foods then I think I should be able to self-correct. I don't think I have SIBO, but .. maybe I do. There's a device you can buy now to do your own home testing but it's $250, which, is cheaper than a Dr. visit and dealing with SIBO :D
I saw someone on TikTok using this little food chopper to chop up rotisserie chicken for chicken salad. I had to get one and try and I love it. Yes, I know I could do it by hand or with a knife but I love me a gadget, ok.
Mr. Kate got me a Dash egg steamer for Valentine's Day years ago. He called it the worst present he's ever gotten me because the buzzer that goes off when your eggs are done scared him half to death every time. 😂
I replaced it with the Cuisanart Egg Central to maintain household harmony. We've had that one for about 2.5 years now and love it! I know Alton Brown is against a unitasker, but we use it at least 3-4 times a week so I'm okay wasting that counter space. I don't like cold hard boiled eggs when I'm just eating them plain so I like being able to have them hot and fresh every morning.
Do you have a front-load or top load washer? Here's what Bob Vila says and includes both types! My Aunt K had a front load and she would always shut the door instead of letting it air out after doing a load of laundry. That's a super-fast way to get lots of mold!
I also pull out the dispensers and use an old toothbrush and vinegar to clean any mold that may accrue. I purchased these washer cleaners a couple of days ago and they'll be here on Friday. I'll let you know how they work in case nothing else you try works for you.
I just looked at what I used at first (which I liked) and they are now back in stock (YAY!) so I may just re-order these. I bought them back in Oct. 2020 and things went to hell after that so I couldn't get them again and I've tried several others since but these were the best (for me).
To add to this .. would highly recommend the books by Patrick McKeown: The Breathing Cure or Oxygen Advantage.
I think Breathing Cure is more approachable/actionable. I was experiencing symptoms of sleep apnea and my Dr. wanted me to do a sleep study and I did NOT WANT TO DO IT, I didn't want to get a CPAP and deal with that. I heard about Patrick McKeown on a podcast and was curious about the concept of taping the mouth to sleep. I immediately started doing it and started fixing my breathing and sleeping better. I breathe a lot less now in my daily life and feel fantastic doing it.
Since our temporary space at work is even further to the interior of the building I treated myself to a little LED mood lamp which I am currently sitting with while my coffee brews and I get situated for the day. Even if it doesn't do anything for me it's still a cute lamp and I'm okay making this part of my morning routine.
DND last night was good, although we wasted a lot of time trying to acquire some turkey legs and/or a live turkey so there wasn't any actual battling that happened. Sometimes a silly night is necessary, though. I tried the Truly margarita-style seltzers as my game night drink and they were... meh. I've been keto for so long I think I've forgotten what margarita mix tastes like so it was a syrupy shock to my system. I much prefer their hard lemonades but it was nice to try something different. Dinner was also a disappointing "something different" - cod with a Vietnamese lemongrass sauce. I took two bites and decided I couldn't finish it so I had hot dogs for dinner instead. Tonight we're having tacos so at least I know those will be tasty!
My goal for today is to continue making progress on my certification courses. I'm 36% of the way done right now - I'd like to get to 40% today and 50% by the end of the month. I think that's doable as long as nobody bothers me. I sure hope that happens. KCKO y'all! ❤
I know I mentioned this in one of our dailies; however, these Kelp Noodles are fantastic! They do not have the consistency or smell of shirataki noodles. They can be used as crunchy noodles (straight out of the bag) on a salad if you rinse them in cold water. Instructions from the site: Prepare In Seconds! - No Cooking is required! To alter the firmness and texture of Sea Tangle Kelp Noodles, wash in cold water and 1 Tbsp baking soda for firmer noodles, or pour over boiling water with 1-2 Tbsp baking soda for softer noodles!
Use in place of angel hair pasta for a yummy Italian dinner. I used them in soup, and they were incredible. They have no taste and take on the flavor of whatever you cook them in.
I hear you, girl! I don't know if you've tried edamame noodles or lupin flour noodles (Lulupasta Protein Pasta in Rotini, Penne, Orzo, and Elbow shapes), but they are awesome too!
I have been eating these Kelp Noodles in chicken broth; however, there is so much more you can do with them. I would love to make some pho, as it would work beautifully.
You rinse them off when you take them out of the bag to remove the sodium alginate. If you like crispy (tough) noodles, eat them as is chopped up in a salad! If you want them al dente, pop them into some water with baking soda and lemon juice. Let them sit for 30 minutes, then rinse, and you have perfectly yummy noodles!
This YouTuber has a ton of Asian keto recipes and is where I found out about the noodles (she makes hers handmade, but I don't have time for that 😂) BTW, they totally look like glass noodles used in some Asian dishes!
Yes, it is! It's the second time I've done this, but the last time I noticed before I used it. I switched things up today and used Torani Brown Sugar Cinnamon Sugar-Free Syrup in Maple Pecan coffee. It is a winning combo!
Yep! Right here (Amazon link) - bought this in 2017, still use it here on occasion, especially since we still have the ice packs in our freezer!
Yep you can keto without dairy. As for gallbladder out you may expect some loose stool after some fatty foods. This only happens to me with breakfast sausage and nothing else.
Also highly recommend this book as it’s dairy free and the meals are delicious!
The 30-Day Ketogenic Cleanse: Reset Your Metabolism with 160 Tasty Whole-Food Recipes & Meal Plans (1) https://www.amazon.com/dp/1628601167/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_6FBBXC3QJQ7S3A06049F
I got them on Amazon two weeks ago. What I should have done was taken the extra time to write it up and have them shipped to each household, but I was ordering them earlier than we wanted them sent and was worried about exactly that...running out! They're cute, I went with a gingerbread sleigh kit instead of the typical house!
Morning. Checking in from the office where it's cold as a witch's tit because my dumbass coworker left her window open last night. 🤦♀️
Speaking of work, I got one of these desk riser contraptions for my laptop. My theory was that during the winter or when it is raining, I can stand up throughout the day and stretch my legs and back. I like having that option instead of sitting all day. The only downside is that it takes up a lot of room on my desk so if I'm working on a project that has quite a bit of paperwork to spread out, I will have to move it. I'm using it right now to stand up for a bit. I would like to use it for a bit in the morning just to fidget and move around so my legs don't swell like when I have to sit all day. Bonus: maybe it'll burn a few more calories too.
Breakfast was lunchmeat and cheese on an egglife wrap. Lunch is shredded enchilada flavor chicken and Spanish style caul-rice. Too bad I forgot queso to drizzle over it. Dinner will be Tyson blackened tenders with a side of egg salad because I don't feel like cooking.
My weight jumped up to 164.6 this morning, over a pound higher. I'm not going to worry about it though because I see my lowest weight fluctuations around mid month. Hopefully it will drop a pound or two over the next few days, like normal. I gave the PBS a side-eye and put her ass back in the cabinet where she belongs.
u/2-22-15 just a head's up: I tried the cinnamon vanilla version of that liquid stevia in my coffee this morning. It's the same brand as the lemon version that I use in my tea. It will definitely be added to the flavor rotation.
>I honestly don't even know
>
>who

> does that.
me. :) I have had 2 done, one when I lost all my water weight and then may this year when i got to my first goal weight of 149. 33% down to 27% :)
inbetween, I use the US Navy one and this morefemale specific one
I have found both to be accurate to within .5% of my body scan results
/u/jennlnz
I've been using Tazo Zen Green, because caffeine.
Thank you! It was so good.
I think the only thing that matters it that spearmint leaves are the only ingredient, but I use this brand and get it off Amazon!
I do the 5,000IU on a daily basis but if it's been dark and rainy where I can't get outside to make my own Vit D, then I'll take another one for 10,000IU total. Get a D3+K2 formula something like this because they say you process the D3 better with some vitamin K.
LOL, I had that many in my freezer back in the summer so I feel you.
Could you do beef liver supplements to get your iron up?
For me, fibroid = hysterectomy = best thing ever. I was in so much pain and hemorrhaging every month & the recovery was worth it.
It is a mix by Simple Mills they have different flavors which I will try at a later date. They are not marketed keto but with the ingredients being very "clean" they are definitely low carb enough for me to fit one in my macros.
