And if you're like me, woke up not all there, fed the cats and went back to sleep...woke up not sure if you did, in fact, take your fucking meds - this might be for you.

yesssss
i've been using this one and it's been amazing at keeping me on track with my medications. I would have opted for the one you posted, but I have anxiety meds that I have to take 3x a day.
honestly, they are great. recommend to anyone who has issues with forgetting or doubling their medications.
50mg I would take when I woke up. It would give me energy. Anything higher than this dose I took before bed and it would give me energy when I woke up! Good luck. I wrote about this is my guide to Zoloft check it out.
Totally normal. Zoloft is an “anti” “depressant” a depressant slows you down, Zoloft speeds you up ! Check out my guide I wrote about Zoloft I think it will help you
I’m on Zoloft and Adderall so I’m oh too familiar with this dilemma.
So the chemical we can’t be mixing with Zoloft is Dextromethorphan — it acts as a cough suppressant and unfortunately is in almost every cold and flu medication on the shelves. BUT there are certain mucinexes without Dextromethorphan that I was cleared to take when i had the flu last month! Double checked with my doctor and the pharmacist before taking them.
The one i took was Mucinex Severe Sinus. It has Guaifenesin (expectorant aka loosens mucus), phenylephrine (nasal decongestant) and Acetaminophen (aka Tylenol, relieves pain). I prefer the syrup because the pills are MASSIVE.

Also, i was given the okay for tamiflu too but it was an antibiotic prescribed by a doctor. Hope this helped ♥️ please check with medical professionals though I’m no doctor
Magnesium! It's helped me a lot, I can always notice when I haven't been taking it because the stiff jaw will come back. Bonus is that magnesium helps promote good sleep. I usually take one in the morning and one at night:
Unfortunately, a user of many antidepressants and someone who has worked towards medical school (although unlikely due to treatment resistant depression).
Here’s some data that shows Sertraline occupies 80% of SERT at around 50 mg and almost completely at 100 mg. https://www.semanticscholar.org/paper/Serotonin-transporter-occupancy-of-five-selective-Meyer-Wilson/f363bd06521ba4915761921bfca306396a4a7519
Sertraline as a SDRI is controversial because Sertraline is highly bound to plasma protein, but there is evidence that suggests excess Sertraline after 100 mg would start binding to DAT.
Oh lol. Also I highly recommend therapy. Medication will help a lot but therapy is the main thing. If you can’t do therapy for some reason then buy a good book on cognitive behavioural therapy and read it. This is a good one https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B08XZQ82LB?pd_rd_i=B08XZQ82LB&pf_rd_p=9627ac0e-6337-47a9-883f-138494190b2e&pf_rd_r=F2ACYN8N1D3S1DFZCNH9&pd_rd_wg=2mv2f&pd_rd_w=8EyPH&pd_rd_r=1ffc1176-4871-4510-b858-d89c752939f2

I had one made by my dentist. They can be expensive, but dental insurance may cover a portion of the cost. I highly recommend asking a dentist about it since they can customize the device for your bite. However, I found this product online that has a similar mechanism. It’s definitely something to get used to, but you’ll notice a difference!

Game changer as far as understanding the mechanisms. Once you understand it, you can really start to work through it.
Make sure you're moving your body every day. An evening walk can be very helpful.
Take your pill(s) in the morning, drink more water, eliminate caffeine intake (once it's gone, you'll realize how much it affected you), no screens for the hour before sleep, keep a regular sleep schedule, and try listening to guided meditations to help you relax.
I’m so sorry you had to endure all of these traumatic events. And I can tell you without a doubt that it will be okay because you have the wisdom and awareness to know that being alive really IS something. Covid has been a blessing for me in a way because despite losing my job and being unemployed for a long time, by taking distractions away, I was able to discover the absolute joy and peace I can find by merely going outside and staring at trees, noticing the little things while walking my dog. I would start there. Find little details or moments that remind you of how amazing life really is when you slowwww down and pay attention. I’d also recommend reading or listening to this books, which might help you coach yourself and explore new ways to think about past events. I’m pulling for you!! ❤️❤️

Sorry to hear. I hope your situation gets better. One thing I can comment on is water by itself will not keep you hydrated without electrolytes. In fact, drinking a lot of water without electrolytes can flush you body of nutrients. I noticed while I was starting zoloft I needed more electrolytes that normal, meaning I felt dehydrated after waking up from sleeping and I was peeing waay more often than I usually do. I buy this sugar free electrolyte powder from amazon. A little pricey but it lasts a long time. electrolytes link I'm sure there's other good quality brands out there but this kept me and my friends all hydrated throughout the brutality of burning man.
I've been taking Dr. Irwin's bloat away for Distended abdomen while I wait to see a GI doctor. It messes with your electrolytes and I don't think it agrees with me.
So now I'm irredeemably fatigued but not bloated anymore.
Dis the stuff. I only took 1! But the bottle says you can take up to 3 a day. Lawd.

100mg was the magic dose for me. The other lowers dosages kinda helped but hardly. 100 was life changing.
I wrote a book about my experience check it out
Remember while adjusting dosages you need to wait 3 full months for it to kick in and side effects to dissipate. Wait it out.
Wrote a book on my Zoloft experience check it out
I experienced all those when upping the dose! But the best part is 25mg didn’t do it for me 50mg didn’t do it for me 75mg didn’t do it for me then BAM 100mg was the magic dose that gave me a ton of benefits ! All the good side effects are stories I read all happened then.
If you are interested I wrote a whole book about my experience
Here ya go :)

I'd say that could help. I'm not a doctor, so I'm going off my own research and experiences. Just be careful because you don't want too much serotonin either.
Also, look into your diet more. The Mood Cure, which was reccomended by my clinical psychologist, talks about your neurotransmitters and diet. I'd reccomend looking more into how serotonin is produced as well. A good diet, protein for sure, helps with serotonin as much of it is produced in your gut, which is why people experience GI issues with SSRIs.
I had the same problem and then I ordered these pill bottle timer tops. They’re not available on Amazon right now but they have been really convenient. Takes the guess work out completely. Also, they fit on my standard pill bottles so it’s really convenient. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ECK8KFG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_3H87GQF2CVM6RFVJREQG
I bought this because of the exact same reason. I'd err on the side of caution and not take it. Better to not have enough in your system than too much.

I have bizzare hallucinations, visual, audio, taste. Also these will increase while going to bed like you said. When you are in a dream like state it can be hard to distinguish real life vs dream. Check out my guide to Zoloft I think it will really help you
Hey check out my guide I wrote my I think it will really help you out through this. Goodluck
It sounds like you have some pretty strong anxiety and 50mg may not be a large enough dose for you but beyond that counseling is pretty much a must to learn how to deal with your anxious thoughts. Medication just helps you to push the feelings down but they will always be there until you retrain your brain. Other people suggested videos and podcasts and I second that suggestion. I don’t have any in particular but if you Google you can find some things. I also have a workbook I highly recommend; it’s the one my therapist had us use in group therapy and I recommend it to my friends:
Anxiety & Phobia Workbook on Amazon
You don’t have to get the newest edition and you can get a used copy of an older edition for just a couple of bucks on Amazon or eBay. It walks you through your symptoms, helps to validate your struggles and teaches you how to better control the negative thoughts.
I, too, could not initially afford therapy. I don’t know what it’s like in your area but I was able to find a state-run medical facility that had mental health care on a sliding scale (I did not have insurance at the time) and they helped me to get therapy and medication. A lot of people don’t even realize places like this exist although sadly not everywhere.
Lastly, there are also online therapy options although I don’t know how much they cost, just how good they are, or anything but that might be worth looking into.
Hang in there. Know that you are worth it and you CAN feel better.
Getting three sets of cotton sheets was a game-changer for me. Also, this cooling blanket has worked really well for me: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Q8ZT7JL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_t1_2JDMVQMF4J0S5GB40ZES
Hey everyone - hope you're all well 😌
I wanted to share my experience with sertraline (Zoloft).
I started my experience mid last year at 50 and have slowly worked up to 200 on New year's Eve. I found that although 50,100,150 took off an edge, I could still fall into an anxious spiral.
I've noticed that from about 10 days in on 200, I'm so much calmer and can feel a kick of positive spirit, which I've not felt so consistently in a long while.
I hope everyone finds the right level/medication for them and begins to feel themselves again!
I also read this book, which really helped for intrusive thoughts and reframing my mind on the matter: book
Have a great week!
I recommend getting a mouthguard. It sucks but the benefits of Zoloft outweigh the inconvenience of wearing one, at least for me. Here’s the one I recommend! Mouthguard
No I mean a supplement, something like this. I’ve heard it can act as a laxative if you take a lot though. I take 250-300 mg a day and haven’t noticed anything
Like what the other commenter said, you'll be fine. For the future, I think you should get one of those weekly pill organizers so you can avoid wondering whether or not you already took your medication. I have one since before I started taking Zoloft, because I need to take Concerta for my ADHD and there were too many times that I worried whether I already took it for the day. The weekly planner eliminated the problem for me.
Here is a link to what pill organizer that I have:

This scale works great, or ask your doc for pills you can split. Are you titrating down to stop? If so your doc should certainly help.

So I have occasional issues with grinding my teeth or clenching my jaw while sleeping and these are the guards I use. They’re super low profile and don’t feel like normal bite guards at all. Idk where you’re at but Amazon has them for me. They’re called the Grind No More, Disposables by Plackers and I love them. They might help.

Congrats on taper off of Zoloft. I’m sure it was a long tough journey. For RLS, not sure if you’ve tried it, Hylands makes natural tablets for it. I used them when I had to taper off a benzo. They help a lot. Here’s the amazon link, if your interested.

Its been since the day after Thanksgiving for me, I am at 100mg/day. As much a Sertraline has been a very positive game changer for my mood swings and my anxiety --- my weenie has taken a major hit in the performance department -- and it shows no sign of coming back.
But on the other hand, I picked up a male masturbator off of Amazon, the company that makes it is called Tracey's Dog. It is a soft and squishy hand held thingy that feels great in ways that weenie likes very much.
My wife just has to deal with it (*she understands, plus I take care of her in other ways now*). "In-and-out sex" between her and I doesn't give me the extra amount of stimulation my half-dead guy requires anymore.
Tracy's Dog is incredible. For $9.99 you will not believe how awesome it is. I only use it periodically, as I'm not horny very often anymore, yet when I do have the urge, I'm good to go!
Some did after some time but no where near as bad as they were before. Before when I drove I had to keep pulling over due to anxiety attacks. Now I can drive hours a day for work and I’m ok. When I feel the anxiety I tell myself “this is just a thought causing a feeling” and I focus on my breath. Breathing in 4 seconds through the nose and 4 seconds out the mouth. I tell myself “this feeling shall pass” and it does. I will return to them soon to see how it feels compared to how I feel now as I am feeling low.
I read several books and highly recommend these ones. They actually made me cry from the relief they gave me.
1.)For unwanted thoughts this was extremely helpful. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Overcoming-Unwanted-Intrusive-Thoughts-Frightening/dp/1626254346/ref=nodl_
2.) Helpful on directing your mind to the present moment. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Power-Now-Guide-Spiritual-Enlightenment/dp/0340733500/ref=nodl_
Learning how to handle the anxiety whilst on SSRI’s so you know what to do when you come off them is extremely important. This is something I shall ensure if I go back on them.
Hope this helps
