I very much prefer "chill exploration games," so maybe I can help you out. I also go for no-conflict or low-conflict puzzle games, so I'll include those. And some of these are side-scrolling platformers, which may not be your thing, but you may still want to watch trailers to make sure.
Also, not all of these have female protagonists, but most do, and some of these have nonhuman and/or nongendered protagonists.
I loved Journey to the Savage Planet even though there's more conflict than I prefer. There's just something about it.
This site isn't great, but I also recommend searching 50GamesLike to find more titles that might be up your alley.
Also, I totally play survival/building games, but I use cheat codes or play on creative mode (or whatever the game calls it) so I don't have to actually worry about fighting things or staying alive. lol For example, I'm currently playing Subnautica: Below Zero with several cheat codes enabled that allow me to explore freely without worrying about oxygen, pressure, enemies, tediously gathering materials, etc. I can just explore the world, scan and learn about the fascinating creatures, and enjoy progressing the story. :)
There are quite a few series in this genre. Without a little more detail, I can't say for sure which one, but I'd look into 12 Labours of Hercules, Roads of Rome, My Kingdom for the Princess, Northern Tale, Gardens Inc...maybe browse this list?
Nothing exactly like that but you might be interested in checking out
The world ends with you Ravenmark Demons Rise Templar Battleforce
Or get emulators and try all the classics like Disgaea

Roguelikes might be your best bet - Enter the Gungeon, Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, Rogue Legacy. There's a list of 50 games here (and page 2), but I'm not sure how many are on the EU Store and how many are truly the "pick up for quick bursts" gameplay.
Roguelikes (and Roguelites) tend to thrive on short runs (though just how short depends on your skill) and very much are games that you can pick up for a few minutes at a time, put down for a few days, and not miss much of anything.
Breakpoint and #Funtime
Both directly inspired by Geometry wars.
Though if youre looking for something more, there is a massive library of twin stick shooters on the system.

Unless you can find someone with the game for a Nintendo 3DS (or one of the other platforms it ran on) it would appear you are out of luck.
There are other "runner" games out there. Examples: https://www.50gameslike.com/games-like/polara/android
Phoenix Wright: Ace attorney trilogy
The Blacksad
Murder by Numbers
There's a website where you can search similar games by platforms.
All of the tags pulled from somewhere so definitely check the games out first before jumping in.

Ok, so, we are talking about www.50gameslike.com
Give it a try, the results are quite good, in my opinion. The biggest the game is, the more precise the results are, because more features has been extracted from text talking about the game.
I build this site because I could not found up to date video recommendations, or because the automatic recommendations sucked: “games like call of duty” would return every call of duty ever made, or “the best RPG on PC” would have 10 years old games in it. 50Gameslike returns current games, out in the last 3 years, and only includes the last / best game of a serie, so that if you are looking for games like call of duty, you will only find one call of duty in the result list,
I would not talk about the recommendation part, that uses what the NER found, it is a different subject,
Right now, there is too much video games every day. You cannot maintain with only 2 hands such a recommendation engine, you have to automate it. Also, when a catalog is crowd maintained, every one will have a slightly different opinion to describe a video game experience. So the solution would be to describe automatically a video game. This is where the NER is used. It takes English text talking about a game, and extract key words ( tags) describing this game: “RPG”, “local couch multiplayer”, etc
If you use a regex to find tags, you have to have a closed list with only the main ones, will have false positive and you cannot have the new trends like “battle royal” or “auto chess”.

Ask me if you have particular questions.
Oh man sorry about that. I missed the PS4 part.
Try these. I only scanned it briefly but it looks like it has several games along the idea of what you are looking for. Look for the Turn-based tags.

I found this website '50 Things Like' which attempts to give you games similar to your selected game and you can narrow down by platform. The link above is 40 games similar to Victor Vran that are on 3DS. Hope this helps!
This should help: https://www.50gameslike.com/games-like/synergia/ps4
I will say, Visual Novels are not even slightly hardware intensive. You do not need a gaming PC to run them, they'll run on a 20 year old PC just fine... Mostly fine. There are also quite a few on phones.
I am no VN connoisseur, but I know a few. Clannad is a classic. Doki Doki Literature club is well regarded but pretty creepy. I really enjoyed Juniper's Knot, very cute, but also very short, maybe ~45 minutes. VA-11 Hall-A is amazing, one of my favorite games. Necrobarista looks pretty cool, haven't played it though. AI: The Somnium Files also looks like it might be similar to Synergia, but I haven't played it.

You could give this a try, a lot of the results will not fit your requirements, but a good number of them will, worth giving this a calm look
The name of that genre is walking simulator; not a joke. lol
https://www.50gameslike.com/best-games-by-type/walking-simulator/xboxone

From my own play throughs there’s few I can recall Mass Effect levels of tangential storytelling unfortunately. The closest thing would be completing a ridiculous number of tasks to move the story along.
I was actually hooked on trigger Happy Havoc playing every night pretty much but then I hit the same slow burn at the start of the sequel Goodbye Dispair and I put it down. I’ll pick it up before the release of the 3rd game next year. Was there multiple endings and paths? I have no idea.
I found this ‘50 Games Like’ list site and filtered by choice games on iOS.
First up in Orwell’s Animal Farm. I remember that got a lot of decent reviews. There’s likely a lot of trash on there but at least it gives you a focussed search.
Then there’s this list on the same site for 18 iOS games with multiple ending, I’m assuming because of player choices along the way.
Fingers crossed you find a few worth checking out!
You reminded me that I've had this series collection in my backlog for many years. Haven't even tried them out.
Perhaps the game you're looking for is on this list.

I'm not sure if i can be the guy to give you the answer i'm sorry keep looking. Although i remember a game on ps1 called Colony wars and googled it and it gave me a link to 50 games for pc like Colony wars. Maybe you could look through that real fast to see.
https://www.50gameslike.com/games-like/colony-wars/win
I only ever played the demo of that game thou on a jampack cd lol. It was the only other space game i could think of. I'm not really much into space stuff. That and starcraft II was fun.
sorry i tried hope ya find it
Peace
Game looked a bit like this

But more pixelated
I asked a similar question on a more relevant sub (r/tipofmyjoystick) a couple months ago
the general consensus was a game called Crumble but it doesn’t seem to fit your bill of it being an Android game.
So this might be helpful in your search. Good luck. And if all else fails, might wanna try reposting to r/tipofmyjoystick
Have you tryed https://www.50gameslike.com/games-like/surviving-mars? There are a lot of the games cited here, so you may find what your are looking for ( Per Aspera, Oxygen not included, Farlanders :Prologye, the spacial, etc..) tell me what you think of the results.
From what I've heard immortal fenyx rising is similar to BOTW with some of it's mechanics, and, though I have not played it, Ocean Horn 2 looks looks like it took inspiration from BOTW. Also here's an article I found on games like BOTW.
https://www.50gameslike.com/games-like/the-legend-of-zelda-breath-of-the-wild/xboxone
Like Hexen;
Vaporum and Vaporum Lockdown
Skyrim
And chalk it up to the "maybe" column, Heroes of the Monkey Tavern
Baldurs Gate 1 & 2, Neverwinter Nights, Icewind Dale and Planescape Torment are all on the Switch too.
Theres also a bunch of isometric RPGs too;
Divinity Original Sin 2 (definately check this one out)
Diablo 3
Titan Quest
Victor Vran
Torchlight 2 & 3
Are you looking specifically for crew management type games?
Cause we do have Into the Breach, which is the second game from the FTL developers. Different, but still challenging and rougelike.
And while similar, but not exactly the same;
https://www.50gameslike.com/games-like/ftl-faster-than-light/switch
I can personally vouch for Bad North and Star Renegades. Both are solid.
And One step from Eden is exceptional if youve ever liked MegaMan battle network.
Oh shit it doesn't look like it. That's a bummer; one of the best bonding co op games I've ever played. Gears of war is similar. Also found this: https://www.50gameslike.com/games-like/army-of-two/win
You'd think this would be easy to find, but with SJWs and PC society, some companies are afraid to even show a swastika.
Maybe this will help: https://www.50gameslike.com/best-games-by-type/world-war-2/xboxone
This is embarrassing... https://www.50gameslike.com/games-like/soulcalibur/win , #13. You litterally discredited my example with an example that is so similar it's compared endlessly. You need to take a step.back, you can't see the forest for the trees.
Isn't there like hundreds and hundreds of RPGs that fit your description lol.
For long + silent character, I'd recommend Dragon Quest, but I have a feeling that you're just gonna say that you've played it or that it's not your style and not give any more info, so how about googling "games like path of wuxia"? It even says that there's another game made by the same people, "Tale of Wuxia". https://www.50gameslike.com/games-like/tale-of-wuxia Looks like there's even a website for this kind of question.
https://www.50gameslike.com/games-like/galcon-2-galactic-conquest
I was mainly thinking of Galcon 2 which is the most recent title of this sort that I have played. I used to play basically all the strategy games I could find on Kongregate and Ninjakiwi and all those sites before I had a credit card and I think there was one just like Galcon but the bases looked like viruses. Galcon has a really annoying feature where you only ever send half the units that you have spawned in a base, so if you wanted to send 94% of your units from a base you need to click 16 times which strained my micro skills and my hand got sore after playing it.
This is basically the only thing I found on Google before the search results started getting dubious

Even then it doesn't exactly explain why it's their #5 on their best 3DS physics game list
in any case here's a link to some optiosn: https://www.50gameslike.com/games-like/life-is-feudal-forest-village/android
and have you checked out everything from Kairosoft?
So, I was googling around because I couldn't remember the name I was going to recommend, Oxygen not Included (not free, and I haven't played it, but it was recommended to me recently when I asked the same question), and I found out that apparently there are a ton of sites that compile lists like this. For example, this site has a list of 50 Games Like Factorio.
Upon skimming the list, it seems pretty good. Man, it's great living in the future. When I was a kid you just had to go to one of the half dozen decent flash games sites and browse around.
Yeah, there are tons of them. Honestly, way too many to list. Sites like https://www.50gameslike.com/ help to locate similar games to anything in particular that you search for in their system. If you can't find something to love in this list, then I don't know what to tell you.
Here are a few to start:
Life Is Strange (Multiple Entry Francise), Gone Home, Outer Wilds, Everybody's Gone To The Rapture, What Remains Of Edith Finch, Journey, Limbo, Death Stranding, Hue, Celeste, Oxenfree, Psychonauts (Mild Cartoonish Combat), The Witness (Awesome Challenging Puzzle Experience)
I can't access the site at the moment so research it myself but I use this site on occasion for video games I used to play as a kid:
No, you can't. also what you're asking is for Hack which is also against this subreddit policies...

either way, i found this website, that recommend you some game similar to wizardry 8, you might want to try them out! Cheers
Check this list out https://www.50gameslike.com/best-games-by-type/dungeon-crawler/switch
Also the game type you're searching for sounds like a "dungeon crawler" the kids call it.
The Daemon X Machina demo was a limited time thing. You cant download it anymore unfortunately. But its more like Armored Core than custom robo.
What youre looking for is Synaptic Drive, a spiritual successor from the original director of Custom Robo. Its currently in development with no release window.
Enter the Gungeon is probably the best on the Switch.
Sleep Tight, is a personal favorite, as rather than a rouge-like its more tower defense orientated. So you build up defenses and see how long you can last.
This thread comes up weekly. Search is your friend (both Reddit and Google) : https://www.50gameslike.com/best-games-by-type/rogue-like/ps4

Fair enough. Didn't catch which we were in. Though, we don't know if the user does happen to have a Switch.
To be more sub relevant, here's something I found on Google. https://www.50gameslike.com/games-like/steamworld-dig/3ds
I honestly don't think there is anything like the Persona series, I googled and found this. link
I bought Persona 3 and 4 to play on my old ps2 for like $25 on amazon recently, had the same itch to play that style of game again so I caved.
You don't need power tools, all you need is a screwdriver. Seriously how long ago was your most recent build?
Yes it takes a while to choose parts on your own, but this is assuming you look up a simple Youtube video or visit the pc building subreddit where they do all the picking parts and finding deals for you. Takes maybe 5 minutes to find all the parts these days with so many builds already out there for any price range imaginable.
PCs don't use controllers they use the keyboard and mouse which everyone already has a pair of, so that's actually cheaper than buying console controllers.
You do have to install the OS and Drivers, but that's not work so much as waiting, so you aren't killing your oh so valuable time sitting there, you can be doing something else.
I play quite a bit just not on console. Regardless, two of those games aren't on Xbox but the Nintendo platforms as far as I know, and Assassin's Creed is always on pc at the same time as console, at least as far as I can remember. While PC only has 2 Madden games, it also has a ton of similar titles to play isntead. The Last of Us is good though, that's an exclusive I forgot of. Uncharted's not a bad one either, though Tomb raider is a pretty similar experience and that one's on pc.
If that's your game library that's fine, but two of those aren't on Xbox, one is on pc, 2 have excellent substitutes on pc, and The Last of Us is probably the only good reason on that list to stick to console, but then again, it's just one game. But that's beside the point, with those interests I don't blame you at all for sticking to consoles, but saying a pc is bad because of it is not accurate, especially when you try to argue it's extremely difficult to build one when everyone will tell you it isn't.
Hello ok sure, the site is https://www.50gameslike.com
You can search for a game and you will get a full list of games that shares gameplay element with it, taking into account among other things its review score, the release date so that you have good fresh games at the top.
You can also search by types, like "the best base-building" games.
Finaly you can filter per platform, to only have games available on pc, mac or android for exemple.
Thank you for testing it, I would love to have your feedbacks :)
