Use a better music player. Like Poweramp or black player. They let you edit Music tags within the app and support a plethora of music file types. To edit the tags on your PC use this http://www.mp3tag.de/en/ or this https://www.aimp.ru/index.php?do=download.
Well I use the built in audio converter in AIMP. I don't use the player itself but the converter (which can be found in the menu) can convert hundreds of tracks to different formats at once, and its completely free and easy to use.

I use them with AIMP + Minilyrics or MusicBee.Minilyrics is a plugin that can work with multiple players, and download, edit and create lyrics too. The lyrics can be embedded onto the .mp3 file or can be a separate .lrc file. The .lrc files are .txt files with timing information.
AIMP 4 is the one I use for everything. It's pretty sweet. Lots of plugins (There's one that'll let you include YouTube videos in playlists), online radio support natively, themes that let you try out a completely new interface, active development, it's awesome. It also comes with an audio file converter and a tag editor (at least the windows version does. I hope the android one will soon.) Info here
If not having a video player is your problem, VLC all the way. Comes with a DVD player. It might be ugly but it's more versatile and works better than anything else. Oh and you can skin it too. Main app here, and themes here.
Using SoundCloud plugin by AdrianEddy for porting SoundCloud likes to AIMP.
Using Unfavourable v1.96 by quefcyze as skin.
Using Hameleon v0.6.1 by DesweR for colour changing depending on album art.
Thanks, i thought the same thing when I saw a screenshot of it. I believe it's Black Onyx 2. Here is where you get the skins from, theres lots of awesome HI-FI ones. If you want to be able to use soundcloud and youtube songs/playlists you can find plugins for both of those, but sadly not spotify.
I use Media Player Classic for video
AIMP for music.
In the past I went with VLC and Winamp. The latter is not really supported anymore and I gave up VLC based on the icon alone. (Yes, I know the story behind it..but it's still a stupid road cone)
+1 for AIMP.
Got a bunch of features, modern UI with library support or a minimalistic winamp-like UI, fast, pretty light on resources. Comes with a couple of useful tools like a decent tag editor and audio converter.
Has plugins support so with some tweaking you can play music directly from Youtube or cloud storage.
Also got a portable version which is a plus for me.
If you decide to try it, make sure to get it from the official website, apparently malicious copycat websites exist: https://www.aimp.ru/?do=download&os=windows
You can switch website language in the top-right corner of the website.
AIMP (portable) - audio player (skins, plugins, cover art, visualization, playlists/tabs, queue, rating, quick search, fully customizable keyboard shortcuts, incl. multimedia, global, tag editor, audio converter, music library...)
>miglior riproduttore musicale su windows?
Tanti anni fa usavo Mediamonkey che aveva anche funzioni interessanti per gestile la library, ma già era al limite del bloatware.
Ora ho installato AIMP e non mi dispiace affatto. Ha un'interfaccia decisamente più gradevole di VLC, supporta anche lo streaming da servizi di cloud (non tutti, ma c'è google drive e onedrive per esempio) e tante altre funzioni.
Many comments, but there what I'd do:
I'd convert the file to an audio format via a different software, import it into vegas and try to re-sync it with the video.
I go with the AIMP, (an awesome free audio player) that has a built in converter that's very straight- forward and fast.
their site is

(Yeah mkv's and Vegas is like 50% failing :\)
Cheers!
You can change accent color easily in settings -> interface. (Press on aimp logo, then Preferences or use ctrl+p hotkey)
There was also addon called Hameleon which takes accent color from album cover image.
All the panels/docks are also highly customizable.
Are you sure it's gone or just not displaying.
Assuming it's an MP3 collection check the files with Tag Scanner
Personally I hate groove music, I use AIMP is my music player (like the old WinAmp but better)
AIMP (portable) - audio player (skins, plugins, cover art, visualization, playlists/tabs, queue, rating, quick search, fully customizable keyboard shortcuts, incl. multimedia, global, tag editor, audio converter, music library...)
+ plugin MonkeyMote for AIMP4 v1.1.4
"MonkeyMote gives you a full-fledged wireless music remote control for your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad running iOS 7 or later and your Android phone or tablet running 4.0.3 or later."
AIMP has many skins, you can create your own too.
Plugin above not tested by me.
Not out of the box but with skins u can get something with Aimp music player from skin section https://www.aimp.ru/?do=catalog&os=windows&id=0&F4=41&pagesize=20
U can change language of page on top right corner
If u wanna try this player be sure to uncheck ad-offers(if they present) in installator.
Audacious was the best audio player I found to replace excellent Windows-only AIMP. And trust me, I've tried a lot of them (thanks, AUR). It's feature rich but with sane defaults, can recommend if you aren't into MPD thing.
There are others you can use like Winamp or Aimp
https://www.aimp.ru/?do=download&os=windows
http://www.winamp.com/ (odd, Winamp also get's detected by the same thing, Bkav, but AIMP doesn't get any detections)
Foobar is more of a 'simple' player without all the bells and whistles.
no sure, haven't used visualizations in a long while, but AIMP is mostly the same as Winamp, but updated.
<strong>AIMP</strong> - audio player (skins, plugins, cover art, visualization, playlists/tabs, queue, rating, quick search, fully customizable keyboard shortcuts, incl. multimedia, global, tag editor, audio converter, music library...)
+ AutoSwitchers plugin, it will disable actual song, so it can't be played again
Definitely, try AIMP, it's the best Winamp alternative, much better, more features, skins, plugins, custom layout, custom hotkeys, global hotkeys... Android version is available too.
Nope, AIMP. Available for Windows and Android from here https://www.aimp.ru/
Discovered it a couple of months ago and I use it daily cause it delivers great quality and customization.
AIMP (free) is the best Winamp alternative IMHO, I'm not sure about MIDI, it has a support for MIDI, plugin support and you can ask for support a plugin in forum, if needed.
It has a global and standard hotkey support, tags, favorites, user rating, fading.
AIMP has even a Winamp look, skin support and other useful features which are missing in Winamp, like playlist tabs, smart playlists, quick search, queue (with hotkey or middle mouse click)
Maybe SONY's WALKMAN app is not that good as you think? Try AIMP, why not? I've used it for 2 years and I think its better than SONY's music player. You can find it at www.aimp.ru/ . BTW are u using Media Go to sync playlists to your SONY phone?
I would recommend either AIMP v3 or V4. Beside PC, there is a cut down variant for Android: https://www.aimp.ru/?do=catalog&rec_id=284
It has plugin support too in it's own format, but may also support Winamp v2 plugs.
