I'm so excited for this. This is a bonus for our community and the potential for interesting & weird quests.

Took me all of 30 seconds to find...
I really prefer the one that Ubi themselves had in the E3 fan kit.
Wayback machine has the site from before they edited it.
Posting it here for posterity (or in case any publications are scraping these comments for sources they can use in an article)
The blog post announcing them said they would be available in heka chests:
>The Nightmare Pack and First Civilization Pack will be available for purchase in the in-game store with Helix Credits. You will also be able to get items from these two packs via the Heka Chests in the Nomad Bazaar.
you should submit this to the AC Community Creations Contest
I didn't feel like running around again to get sync points so I made a tool using Story Creator to teleport me to select ones. You can find them here, though I understand if you'd like to run around again 🙂
They do have Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece. Just like they did with Origins.
I think it's going to be called "Discovery". And you can load the game map up, but there are no quests, NPC's etc. I believe you can just explore ancient Egypt at your leisure with, your family even!
Here, I found it:
>Discovery Tour – This new game mode turns the world of Assassin’s Creed Origins into a combat-free living museum. Read more about this mode and the educational guided tours in our previous coverage.
https://assassinscreed.ubisoft.com/game/en-us/odyssey/map
A link to the description of what kind of places we are going to travel to.
Ancient Greece doesn't feel bland to me,not at all.
And that you'll get ability points for XP already done, not levels. You'll be able to get to 70 but if you did 4lvl worth of XP, I understand it like you'll get 4 ability points
If anyone wants to view all 714 then you can do so here! I had a lot of fun with the photo mode in this game, glad to see it becoming a common feature in modern games.
Ubisoft has said that while you can make choices, its more about how the world sees your character. The story still has certain story "choke points" that happen either way and certain historical events you can't change. They explain it by saying the DNA is very old and imprecise so certain details were lost, this is why it lets you choose man or woman because the DNA cant read properly to tell.
If you want to save time running around syncing locations, I made 3 Fast Travel Synchronizing Tools with the Story Creator.
I made a questline called Lovers In Arms: Brasidas where you get to romance him and fight together, it's pretty fun and I need playtesters.
~~I just bought the ultimate edition so I don't need my code. I'm assuming it's one-time use so happy black friday to whoever grabs this first:~~
EDIT: Taken now, sorry.
If you go to the official site here - https://assassinscreed.ubisoft.com/game/en-us/odyssey/map
There are a bunch of regions each with a bunch of locations (click a region to look inside) and though there are no gameplay clips or even full screenshots - they still show a teaser image for each zone, and write about it.
Seems that Athens is indeed the largest city in the game (unsurprising) though there are a bunch of other big cities. About the scale itself - don't forget that the devs change the scale of cities for gameplay reasons - things are not always 1:1 scale (the discovery tour mentioned the devs changing sizes and land scale for gameplay purposes, and not everything in the game is on the same scale).
I would be delighted to help you make stories, all of mine are here and I can give you copies of any of them to mess with. SC is actually really powerful, it's just not that user-friendly. I've learned all kinds of idiosyncrasies about how the game is made; there's no reason for anyone else to go through all that trial and error.
I really like being able to make Assassin's Creed questlines without having to work at Ubisoft or the gaming industry.
Try the other sibling, use different builds, play with a different disposition. If you don't feel like running all over to get sync points again, I made Fast Travel Synchronizing Tools.
Title: Battle Royale in the Nemean Lion Pit
Join Markos and let someone else fight for your amusement for a change. It’s Pathfinder of Artemis vs Athenian Archer vs Cult Scion vs Spartan Berserker vs Bandit Brute vs Spartan Hoplite vs Elder of Ares vs Athenian Heavy Soldier vs Huntress of Artemis vs Priest of Ares vs Bandit Rogue vs Fanatic of Ares vs Beastmaster of Artemis vs Bandit Thug vs Cult Guardian vs Pirate Punisher vs Lions. Kill the last one alive and loot their bodies.
Add it to your story log here
According to the official website, ACOd is set in -431.
Xerxes' assassination by Darius is in -465.
So we may see (or even get) the Hidden Blade in the game.
But I don't think it'll replace Leonidas' blade : we literally kill people using a First Civ weapon, it would be odd if we replace it with the Hidden Blade
Yeah, they say they are going to be a regular thing. In the link, Ubisoft says as much; the article explains everything you need to know about the Trial of the Gods. :)
If you want, you can play it too. It's the Zipline Tour on this page.
I still have my Editor Mode variable on, so if you want to go straight to that fight, you can:
Yes, and it's hosted on their server so you don't need to download anything. Go here to add it to your story log. Go to the Quests tab of the map menu. On the lower right of the screen you'll see a branching icon, See Stories. Toggle that and it will bring up everything on your SC log, as well as some suggested ones. Track the one you want, travel to its location, and interact with it to start the story.
I didn't feel like running around again to get sync points so I made a tool using Story Creator to teleport me to select ones. You can find them here if you want.
I am very excited as well. I think this quote from an article on the Assassin's Creed website got me even more excited...
"The game is really about order and chaos, and explaining the origin of this fight that came to be between the Assassins and the Templars later on,"
They also say in the article we won't be playing as an assassin which is fine, but I'm most intrigued with how this sets up the future conflict.

Typical case of "I did not inform myself and now I blame the Company". The DLC's are not yet included in the Heka Chests, that has been stated by multible Ubisoft Employees on several occasions. The Game needs a title update for that to happen and the title update that will include the DLC Packs in the Heka chests will release in december.
> A new title update will be released in December. This update will add more content and allow you to enjoy the game with increased challenge. Here’s what you can look forward to:
> * Nightmare and First Civ pack items will be available in the Heka Chest.
So next time, do some research before writing a rant.
HDR support available early november, with another patch, probably around xboxone x launch.. sorry about reposting, new to reddit, i want to edit, but end up deleting the post edit, here's the link to ARO website https://assassinscreed.ubisoft.com/game/en-us/news/152-304606/assassins-creed-origins-launch-essentials
Here's a good explanation of the Story Creator. I love Odyssey’s open world and I think video games are a really cool new art form, being able to make them is extremely awesome to me. Unfortunately, its Ubisoft page lacks the ability to message other creators, get direct feedback from players, or exclude search terms like "farm" or "test." Otherwise, I think it would have a big online community.
All of my stories are here, and I would be stoked to help someone get into it. It's idiosyncratic and I've learned a lot through trial and error; it would be nice to save someone from going through all that. I can send you copies of any of mine to tinker with so you don't have to start from zero.

Not in the patch notes so no.
You have the choice to fight for either, but in the end Athens loses the war and you "become a Spartan hero". You don't necessarily only fight either. My assumption is they'll wanna show how both sides are good and bad.
Well the December news announcement hinted:
> this pack will be a perfect fit for the bath Towel outfit.
So maybe one of the weapons will be a back scrubber, loofah, or perhaps a soap on a rope!
I can't even begin to imagine what the mount is going to look like.
I’d assume they would be able to but if Ubi did really lock it to only 3 items than that’s kinda scummy. I did some research and it seems like you are locked to only 3 items according to the news on their site: https://assassinscreed.ubisoft.com/game/en-us/news/152-316047-16/trials-of-the-gods-face-the-triumvirate
The relevant quote would be this: >Together, they can drop up to three items from the Anubis gear set:
Unfortunately you are correct.
P.S. Love the vids
The update that would include some of this:
Such as Nightmare Mode and Enemy Scaling; as well as the Nightmare and First Civ pack items being available in the Heka Chest finally.
Yep. Confirmed by: https://assassinscreed.ubisoft.com/game/en-gb/news/154-315306-16/this-month-in-assassins-creed-origins-december
> ##The Triad Awaits
> ###But it does not end here. Back in November, many of you proved worthy when you beat Anubis and Sobek in the first two Trials of the Gods. We know that not everyone had the chance to face those gods at that time but fear not, now is your time. Players will have the chance to confront all three gods.
https://assassinscreed.ubisoft.com/game/en-us/news/152-304971-16/trials-of-the-gods
> ##During each event, you will earn one piece of exclusive god-themed gear for defeating your opponent.
> ##You can test your skills as many times as you want during each event, but you will only unlock one weapon per event. Don’t worry if you miss one, you’ll have another shot to take on that god in the future.
> ##For those who prove worthy by attaining all four items in the weapon set, you will receive an exclusive legendary outfit automatically.
> #Future Trials
> ##After Anubis, there will be more Trials of the Gods on the horizon, so keep an eye on your in-game map for a sign of another Animus glitch.
Anubis was just the first event of four in the Trials, and beating him (no matter how many times you do it) will only get you the first piece of the set.
No official statement saying "this is the Hidden Blade" but the design is there.
It says early November:
There will be another Title Update available in early November, which will most notably include 4K and Dolby Atmos support for Xbox One X and support of HDR displays for all platforms.
> And where'd you get your info?
ubisoft's website. As I've said - no, it's not Gamestop exclusive, but it is pre-order exclusive.
To quote the title of the article on Ubisoft.com:

To save time re-syncing locations I made some Fast Viewpoint Synchronizing Tools anyone can use.
Not my quest, it's from the user Wiseman_Freddy1 but it got me 100k+ drachmae and 1 ability point after doing it 3 times, and I'm on level 99 already so it's a lot of XP per second.

What others have already said. Odyssey is more of an action RPG than an action stealth type game. That's not to say it doesn't utilize stealth nor make up for it in other areas.
I'd say it still has it's assassin vibe down tight though with it's new mechanic where it has you actively tracking down 44 different members of this secret society on your own terms. You find the clues. The clues point you in the right direction until you're able to find the member. A lot of the members can even be found and killed accidentally within the world before you even find them through the system. Searching out these members and assassinating every one of them one by one is one of the most rewarding things I've done in a game in a long time.
As for Origin? Somewhat still on base with past AC games but they ramped up the writing tenfold. Would you think I was crazy if I were to associate Ubisoft with good DLC? Curse of the Pharaohs blew me away with how satisfied I felt with a DLC.
On top of all that, they have had their nose to the grindstone when it comes to fixing the issues in these last two games. I didn't pay attention to Origins patch process since I got to the game a bit late but Odyssey...Holy shit they've come through so big numerous times already. If you want to take the time, here's links to patch notes for just the last two patches that mentions everything they've done in those patches. And there's still a lot more to come. Link-1.07 Link-1.06
This is also the concept art for Korinthia or the city Corinth. You can spy a Colossus in the background, I wonder what's up with that.
It is confirmed to be in the game
> Northern Greece is full of diversity. The modern air of Makedonia contrasts with the barbaric nature of Malis, just as the salt flats and summer heat do against swampy marshes and deep forests. This is the place where you can find anything you're looking for – and plenty of things you aren't.

There aren't many games that have been updated yet. The list can be seen here:

In the case of Assassin's Creed, the update is coming in early November.
> There will be another Title Update available in early November, which will most notably include 4K and Dolby Atmos support for Xbox One X and support of HDR displays for all platforms.
I thought this was already kind of established. I feel like the team has been beating around the bush about it, but I remember a while back they listed ancient Rome as one of their flagship locations on the AC site and ancient Rome was a possible setting for a game in their polls. I think they might be meshing ancient Egypt with Caesar's empire in Rome to kill two birds with one stone. They mentioned in an E3 interview that the dynasties of Egypt were cool but barren. If the trilogy is true, Rome slowly taking over Egypt is the perfect start with Bayek. Since it's the 40s BC, Cleopatra in Alexandria, I think we have to see Julius Caesar or Pompey right? Also I'm pretty sure I saw early Roman Empire scutum being bought by the Ptolemies in Faiyoum. (go to 4:00) Rome and Egypt were economically codependent at the time, so this makes sense. Edit: I added the links
I think it sucks that they created a market for this microtransaction. I made some tools in Story Creator that will speed up getting to Fast Travel locations and Nation Chests; they will definitely save you time and grind whether you decide to buy the boost or not.
You have to rediscover the map but if you don't feel like running all over to get sync points again, I made Fast Travel Synchronizing Tools.
If you don't feel like running all over to get your sync points again, I made a tool with the Story Creator that transports you to select ones. You'll find them here, but you have to complete Chapter 1 of Odyssey before you can use SC.
I absolutely love the setting, but what has me truly addicted is making video games in-world with its Story Creator tool, which is based on the tools the developers used. I'm trying to find other story creators or playtesters because there's no way to message each other or get feedback for bugs in the games. I think it would have a big online community if its ubisoft site were planned out better.
Oops, my bad. Story creator is a feature where you can make your own questlines people can play. It’s based on the tools the developers use.
You don’t have voice actors (obviously) or cutscenes but you have a lot of control over body language in dialogues. Here's a really good explanation.
The SC questlines don’t affect the main game except whatever resources and XP you accrue, so resource/XP farms are their most popular stories. There’s no way to exclude the word “farm” from your search, which sucks. The SC tool is also difficult and frustrating to use, so most of the stories are terrible.
I love Odyssey’s open world and I think video games are a really cool new art form. Being able to make them is extremely awesome to me. The SC is really idiosyncratic though; I kind of hate using it but I love what I can do with it.
People are really sleeping on this thing.
If you want your Warrior Princess to lead an army of Daughters of Artemis against the Cult, try my questline Venom & Carnage. It's really fun.
Dear gods someone please play-test my questlines. There's an option to report a story as incompletable, but ubisoft doesn't notify you if your story gets reported so that you can fix it.
I like the characters a lot, but the setting is the real star of the show. I've been working on a zipline tour that should be pretty fun.
I like the characters, but the setting is the real star of the show.
After NG+ I pretty much ran out of story, so I build questlines in the story creator to explore the world and its characters. There's a lot of cool stuff you can force it to do that you can't get in the game, like lead the Daughters of Artemis to take over a cultist fortress, accept a quest from a scary witch skulking in a tomb, or hell, steal a Monty Python scene.
I've had Origins and God of War on the shelf forever but I'm just not ready to let go. At least until I get these zipline tours punished.
I've got you bro (and /u/sunfriedawesome and /u/shaybybear_96 ). I did something about it!
(Warning: Kinda cheezy! Look at images for hints. Initial description doesn't spoil the real point of it.. lol)

My vote is for you to go make mods.
A lot of these suggestions are giving you options for making things that are close to video games, but not video games.
You can, by the end of the weekend, "bring those skills into making games". Just find a game you like that allows you to edit quests and character dialog. After all, from your post, you're not asking for easy ways to make games as a writer, you are asking for ways to get your writing into a game. Well, mods are that way. The code, animations, models, and design tools are already there, it's all just waiting for some good dialog and a bit of quest design.
Some moddable games are: Skyrim, Divinity Original Sin 2, Dragon Age, and Mount and Blade.
There's also this: https://assassinscreed.ubisoft.com/game/en-us/news-updates/351257/Assassins-Creed-Odyssey-Story-Creator-Mode
I'd recommend starting with the AC tool and moving to Divinity. The rest of those engines are pretty janky.
They are random, but you can browse stories here and if you login, you can add up to 20 stories to your log. Those will then show in-game instead of 20 random ones.
They are, I literally googled “assassins creed free dlc” and the Ubisoft site lists every free update the game has, no mention anywhere that you need the dlc. (Right here)[https://assassinscreed.ubisoft.com/game/en-us/odyssey/dlc/free-updates]
Also Ubisoft is more than AC, there’s many games under their belt and they e included updates like NG+ before. You’re the one full of shit.
I did not know that. Thank you
Also, quick disclaimer, there may be one or two childish pictures there, but the majority are scenes I liked.
If you go here and select ‘Photo Mode’ then ‘My Photos’, filter to either Xbox, PlayStation or PC (depending on what your using) you should be able to see and save them.
At the bottom right corner of your map screen there’s a key that shows you what button to push to apply photo filters.
Unfortunately you have to apply them every time you open the map, if I’m not mistaken. But, good thing is, it only takes pressing 1 button a few times.
Also, your screenshots are stored here.
Let me know if you’re having troubles getting the website to cooperate.
You probably already know this but I've noticed that all (other people's) pictures that I see on my in-game map have many likes from other players. At the same time, I would expect that some filtering is taking place so the map is not covered with pictures. Totally guessing here.
You can see all pictures on Ubisoft's website
Quote from their update article: "Later this month we will increase the level cap by no less than 20 levels. This will be available for all players. For our players who have reached level 50, the XP earned before the level cap update will be rewarded with new ability points." They don't explicitly say "not levels" but everyone is just assuming they mean they'll be auto-levelled up with the update, when the video and the article specifically say skill points.
Here’s the link to the pack, basically it’s a pack with 3 free things but only one has been revealed so far.
The "mystical ancient forest" of the petrified islands, the pirate islands, the volcanic islands, snowy mountains, Athens...
Browsing https://assassinscreed.ubisoft.com/game/en-us/odyssey/map there are so many locales I can't wait to explore!
I think it's the perfect setting in the perfect time. The peloponnesian war is my favourite time period in ancient Greece. It was brutal and ended the Greek golden age. The cosmetics of the Armour and weapons are the most interesting and coolest in the whole franchise IMO. I mean Look at this https://store.ubi.com/on/demandware.static/-/Sites-masterCatalog/en_CA/dw1f88053c/images/large/5afda5f788a7e34d25b5012f-7.jpg
I've always loved Greek hoplite armour and Corinthian helms. The architecture and triremes are great and the high saturation of colour is gorgeous. The best parts about Origins were Alexandria and Cyrene for me so I'm glad we got an actual Greek game. The protagonist seems a lot better than Bayek too in appearance and attitude because you get to control some of the dialogue. The Biomes in Greece are far more diverse than what we've seen so It's far from bland.
> Wacky Items Pack – December 26
> The Wacky item pack will include a mount and four weapons. More information will be shared soon, but in the meantime, here’s a quick hint: this pack will be a perfect fit for the bath Towel outfit.
It's not misinformation.
> Anubis, Sobek, and Sekhmet form the mighty trio we’re unleashing on Ancient Egypt this week. Together, they can drop up to three items from the Anubis gear set:
> Whereas in previous weeks you could only get one weapon from the Anubis gear set, this week you will have a chance to earn three (if you don’t already have them)!
> As with the previous trials, you will be awarded one item from the set you do not already own when you beat a god for the first time during the event period. If you choose to keep fighting the gods, you will continue to earn XP and Drachmas.

Sincerely, I was wainting for people to start the Ubi hate way before, when they spoke about this two extra helix packs righthere. People already knew this content would be not included in the season pass, one month ago.
>We were told it would include all Major Expansions and Equipment yet here we are with this stuff still being sold seperate. It's false advertising and that's a fact.

Patience is a virtue, sweetie.
You will also be able to get items from these two packs via the Heka Chests in the Nomad Bazaar.
Not as far as I am aware.
If there was I would have thought Ubi would put it on the website
https://assassinscreed.ubisoft.com/game/en-us/photomode/index.aspx it’s been there since launch date (at this particular moment it’s down for maintenance it seems. There’s a photo mode link on the AC home Page that leads here. You can see sort by more than just your own photos too.
Huh? That funny. Through the whole of the article it doesn't mention once, that you have to defeat Anubis 4 times:
https://assassinscreed.ubisoft.com/game/en-us/news/152-304971-16/pt-BR
I'll highlight some important points for you :)

I'm actually pissed. They pulled a bait and switch. They changed the article that says HDR is coming to PC to have it say its only coming to PS4/Xbox.
Dolby Atmos hasn't been added yet
> There will be another Title Update available in early November, which will most notably include 4K and Dolby Atmos support for Xbox One X and support of HDR displays for all platforms.
That also implies that it's only for the One X
There is a patch coming in november, so not yet from the start. (find it under ''important'' in the following link. Source: https://assassinscreed.ubisoft.com/game/en-us/news/152-304606/assassins-creed-origins-launch-essentials

I agree with the Mycenaean Moderator; create a manual save before restarting.
I made some Fast Travel Synchronizing Tools (and a money maker) using Story Creator that can speed up your new game a bit. Have fun!
Whoa, I didn't think anyone would actually do it! Play around with it. The relation behavior modifications make it so you are unable to physically hurt each other; they're left over because this is a modified copy of a violent questline.
If you want you can delete all of the variable conditions, stop operators, NPC behavior modifications, and talk objectives to unclutter everything. All you really need to keep in place is the Zone Starter at the beginning and the Goto Objective where you leave the party at the end. With those in place and connected you have all the necessary code to publish it, or you can just hit "Test Story" and explore it from the main menu for yourself.
If you want to swap out people, go to "Assets," find the person you want to replace, click on the ⋮ and hit "Edit." Under that person's picture click on "Change Template." You can switch their "Faction & Archetype" to change their behavior and voice actors.
Or, if you like STD jokes and ziplines you'll enjoy playing the full story of the Zipline Tour. I wouldn't mind some critique on that one.
Have fun, get weird with it.
Are you familiar with the Story Creator? It's a set of dev tools they used to make the game that enables you to make questlines other people can play. I figured out how to use dialogues to teleport to certain NPC spawn points, so I made 3 questlines to teleport the player to a bunch of fast travel locations. That way I don't need to run all over Greece again to get sync points for NG+. Some of the people on this sub were nice enough to test it for me so I figured I'd make it available to everyone.
The song is "you should see me in a crown."
Kassandra is wearing Ezio's hood and gloves, the celestial torso and hands, and abstergo belt.
The gameplay is from my Story Creator questline Lovers in Arms: Zipline tour, which is the one that kicked off all the teleportation. All my questlines are here and they all have terrible ratings.
I notice that my fighting looks much less impressive when I'm un-killing my enemies; all that follow-through just looks like inaccuracy haha.
When I did NG I didn't feel like running around again to get sync points so I made a tool using Story Creator to teleport me to select ones. You can find them here if you want. Of course, I understand if you'd prefer to run around again in such a marvelous setting.
Mine are all here. The Lovers in Arms episodes Death Bath & Beyond, Venom & Carnage, and Zipline Tour all have DoA fighting alongside you. Plus, I need someone to playtest my stuff since I use a lot of workarounds to make more things possible.
If you want to start making them I can hook you up with things I've learned, plus copies of any of the stories you can tinker with and break. It's an amazing tool that is also a huge pain in the ass. 🙃
NG+ for sure. I didn't feel like running around again to get sync points so I made a tool using Story Creator to teleport me to select ones. You can find them here if you want to do that.
I started a NG and didn't want to run around synchronizing points again, so I built a couple of tools using the Story Creator that will send me to select sync points. The arena is one of those. The pit's not available for fighting, however, so you're stuck in a sort of invisible box seat until you tell Sokrates to get you out.
I think it's Fast Viewpoint Synchronizing Tool #2.
The questline is here.
I would like to know:
I hope you like it, I'd appreciate your feedback to improve it. If I replace the Zipline Tour with a better version, you'll find it here with the others.
Thanks!
Actually, I may be able to make one for you with the Story Creator tool. If you play Eternal Battle in the Nemean Lion Pit and pick out a handful of the fighters, I can classify them as (mortal) civilians so they fight without weapons. You can go in bare-knuckled. You can fistfight the lions, too.
