There's a public server list run through DiscordServers (integrated in-app with BetterDiscord, desktop only but once you join a server you can access it anywhere) and there's lots of open servers out there if you look. True that it's not integrated into the system itself and if you want to meet folks you can't do it very well in-app but I belong to like 5 communities on Discord each around like 50 to 100 people.
Try BetterDiscord. There are many themes available. You can even customize them to your liking if you know a little bit of CSS.
There are extensions like "Global Twitch Emotes" for Chrome, which will enable twitch emotes to be displayed across all websites.
There's also https://betterdiscord.net/home/ which is a Discord enhancement, that does the same thing.
Discord's layout is so, so bad, especially on mobile.. I recently found there are a couple "Better Discord" apps out there. I haven't actually gotten to try one yet, but might be something to look into if you hate looking at discord as much as I do...
The wallpaper is from Wallpaper Engine, a $4 application on Steam that gives you access to a massive collection of user-made wallpapers in every resolution imaginable. It is extremely lightweight and has a ton of configuration options, and starts up silently upon boot.
The transparent Discord is a custom theme that I made for BetterDiscord, a Discord add-on that lets you inject custom CSS and JavaScript add-ons.
>Also why does your discord look like that, how do i do that
https://betterdiscord.net/home/ you can change the css on a preexisting theme to be whatever image you want. i use a theme base called dark matter with a few tweaks to make it work properly in the newest version of discord. the css file is here, just drag it in the plugins folder for betterdiscord, and edit the file to use the images you want
better discord has this feature. Download and install better discord from here https://betterdiscord.net/home/. You need discord open by the way for better discord to install. restart discord.
when its installed. open your options and you should have better discord on the bottom left of the menu. click on plugins tab and then click open plugin folder. download the tts event from here https://github.com/tony311/betterdiscord-plugins/blob/master/tts-events.plugin.js and put .plugin.js file it in the plugins folder. restart discord again and then from the plugins tab you can enable and have options for it.
Here to make your discord lives better
https://betterdiscord.net/home/
You can then use twitch emotes and if you go to User Settings -> Better Discord -> Custom CSS, you can add a code to make icons larger. PM me if you want it
Oh but Im guessing its mainly for people who have downloaded the Discord App
To get a custom skin on Discord, you have to download https://betterdiscord.net/home/
Step 1 - Install it and then go into %appdata%.
2 - Then go to https://betterdocs.net/themes.html and pick a theme you want. It will take you to their github, and then click "raw" on github, then save it. Save it as "all files", because .css won't work.
3 - After its downloaded, find the file and drag and drop it to the themes folder on betterdiscord folder, on %appdata%.
4 - Finally, go and find the theme. Open it, and where you see the url section go and delete the url and nothing else! Don't touch the parenthesis or anything else. And from there you can add any image you want, just make sure when you search for it don't hit visit page but hit view image and copy the url and just paste it into the parenthesis.(edited)5- this is for people who can't access betterdiscord on user setting. go to https://github.com/Jiiks/BetterDiscordApp and download the zip file. 6-after you download it, unzip the files and put it into C:\Users-your pc name-\AppData\Roaming\BetterDiscord
If you want a pre-done theme, I believe you just have to install it as-is! I hope this helps! 😊
Well there is a better discord plugin for an owner tag. You'll need to do some scrolling though. BetterDiscord can be found here The Owner tag can be found here Just put the plugin file into your better discord plugin folder, next enable it in the plugins tab under better discord. EDIT: You should (If the owner is online) see a tag next to a person that is the owner that says OWNER.
Best thing you can do is opening the developer console (CTRL+SHIFT+I), going in the "Elements" tab, and adding a font-size property for every text thing (for example, if you want to make the discussion text bigger, search for "markup" and add the font-size property to that element). You'll have to do this everytime you restart Discord, though. However, you can automate that with BetterDiscord and its CSS style feature.
Finally, you can upvote this suggestion on the Discord Feedback website.
think of the discord app as the skeleton. the BandagedDiscord is a skin that goes over the skeleton, to give it extra features on top of normal discord. you can change almost everything in the app (like shapes, colours, behaviour) to anything you like. those are themes.
plugins are like chrome extentions: they give you extra features like showing when an account was created, or showing their badges (nitro, hypesquad) next to messages. they are extra flashy things.
all in all, they are purely customisation and made for show off, but it looks great and is well done.
edit: here's a link to their library of themes, so you have an idea of what they do and can do: https://betterdiscordlibrary.com/themes
this is their homepage: https://betterdiscord.net/home/
the thing i used to customize discord is https://betterdiscord.net/home/?__cf_chl_jschl_tk__=89c4639c41a28235b69462741a2543f530288e81-1598653468-0-AXNYCHuny8YN9faT-LuRU_J1PdmlkpRKpUkVsI_5J0VmBeaBmppv_UGTrDezUxcgfwpFQdKN3AbeXYcLS6rNuxSZLCgrBSSBj8sSmEgJsy8zLkhBnVH04wqU1N5OW0m9X3afyTjRM-DT2gYaFx6b3IuC1LCTNrL_n_3DcC--V_flBSZIKhIMZUOsD-simy5PzPxLAon2LxX3H798q2ht5RB6EMMLgyHUs1ZNFAiI6rC3xCMGg3uEqh0zFFy6UVlg0KxNGGMWHj3cjxY4psETCEI (BetterDiscord) and you have to figure it out yourself,it was kinda hard but worth it ,it took me 3 hrs in total
Install Better Discord, then download this old messages theme, and place it in the Better Discord themes folder, which can be found in the User Settings of Discord after you've installed BD.
Then voila, you've gotten rid of most of the annoying parts of the update (at least with the messages): no highlighting on hover, spacing is mostly fixed, dividers are back, emoji panel is gone. It also kept the individual timestamps which was nice and personally the only really good thing I liked about the update.
The easiest way to fix this is to write a secondary plugin for discord (using better discord https://betterdiscord.net/home/) and then have your ESD plugin communicate with your discord plugin through an API. That will give you full control over the client and keep it to a 1-2 step install for users depending on if they have better discord already or not.
It's a third part application that allows for installing plugins and themes to enhance Discord. See [here](https://betterdiscord.net/home/. And yeah, I realize I sound like a human marketing department.
It’s a mod to your discord that allows you to fully customize it, including theme change and plugins
Here’s the website: https://betterdiscord.net/home/ but keep in mind that it’s technically against Discord’s ToS but nobody has ever been punished fr it
BetterDiscord supports this, with custom javascript and css themes. The main website and github repo seems to be abandoned, but it links to a fork that might work. No idea on what the ToS says about it, though.
Install BetterDiscord: https://betterdiscord.net/home/
Find some nice themes: https://betterdocs.net/collections/themes
Install this plugin that lets you change theme according to server: https://github.com/IRDeNial/BD-Server-Themes
Not sure if this is in normal discord or only betterdiscord, but you can add it in your options one way or another. If you don't see it in the regular options, get betterdiscord.
Sorry man, do you have any pictures of what you mean? You can change it from white to dark. If you want more you could use better discord for css changes but that's a bit complicated
Not sure about the partner and sub thing but if you want to display twitch emotes try out Better Discord . It shows your twitch + better twitch tv + FrankerzFace emotes along with a bunch more improvements.
