This one is slightly different from what I usually do. My other stuff would probably look a little more at home in a gallery, at least some pieces I've done.
You touched on a lot of reasons why I really like art, though. Art is a great mix of both subjectivity and objectivity.
Here's all my work, if you're curious: http://ello.co/briangeorgedesigns
I use my bulletjournal mainly as a planner - sure I will sometimes write some thoughts/observations in my daily notes but it's more a tool to keep me organized and help me not forget to do things.
I also have a personal blog that I update infrequently. I also run a podcast.
I've also started writing in a separate notebook based on a daily prompt (non-fiction). I'm doing this mainly to use up the multitude of pens and notebooks I have before buying any more (of either). This stuff I am sharing on Ello, because I'm trying to use that platform a little more. Seems suited for it.
I have an AmScope T340B-DK at home. They retail for ~$315 and are definitly not a Leica, but would be fine for an advanced hobbyist.
I've some images from mine at ello.co/mattimicrograph
I'm Michelle, and I'm a blogger/writer, graphic artist, and mom, and you should add me because every time someone follows me on ello, a gypsy fairy gets its wings. Yeah, basically I had to make up something because there really is no good reason to add me.
if you're looking for social network functionality without the big business atmosphere of facebook, check out ello.co. it's an invite-only social network built on the premise of no ads, ever. if you don't feel like waiting a few months to get an invite from the request system there, i might be willing to send you one.
Fellow Redditors/code seekers,
Unfortunately www.ello-invite.com is currently unavailable at this current time. They are working on trying to fix it. If you are looking for a code you are more than welcome to try it but know that it takes on average 2-3 minutes for a code ^if ^one ^appears ^at ^all , to load once you click request key. Hang in there folks.
EDIT: Still down :(
^Thank ^you
PM me if you want an invite :)
Edit: RIP my inbox. Sad to say I'm out of invites. But search Twitter for "ello invite code" or something similar, and enter whatever you find (they're usually three lower case words separated by hyphens) at http://ello.co/join. Good luck!
http://jonnegroni.com - It's a wordpress site made by this guy that writes in-depth discussions about movies. He made a coherent theory about how every Pixar movie is part of the same story, and even provided a detailed timeline of the Pixar universe.
Also, I'm not sure if this is 'small' or not but there's a new social site known as Ello. Imagine twitter, only with formatting support, a much larger char limit, less idiots, NO ADS, and also
this font.
The developer is actually strictly against ads and made the site under the slogan "you are not a product". It is currently in beta so it's hard to get into, but it's worth a try. They let me in just a week ago.
I think it will be good for artists to share and collaborate, but also include the social aspect that Tumblr is lacking in.
Maybe some people will operate their space like Tumblr, and others more like facebook. But I expect it to be more a mashup of both.

Working search, the ability to stop person X from reading my posts. They may have a working search - I can't tell, because I can't find it between the browser crashes and the assumption that I can infer meaning from random hieroglyphs on buttons.
What does "noise" mean? Are people I'm following my friends? Does http://ello.co/@foo actually not exist, or am I just not logged in at the moment?
