The game actually looks pretty good for the run of the mill f2p game, but an item shop makes me rather disappointed.

Section 1. Membership of The Judicial Branch, the Judicial Branch shall be composed of two independent Judicial Officers at any one point in time. These Officers shall be selected at the time a dispute arises. The Officers selected must not be an interested party or the President.
Clearly in the audio recording of the initiation of the General Assembly there was a very clear dispute yet this was pushed aside after about 30 seconds of conversation without addressing the issue properly.
Section 4. Limitations on the Congress, the Congress may not abolish the office of the Presidency, the office of the Sheriff, the Judicial Branch, impose an involuntary tax, or involuntary expropriation or redistribution of private resources.
Without giving due process in the case of a dispute and going ahead with the assembly as they did, I'm not a law expert but I'd imagine that the following proceedings were illegal or invalid. Strongman called for a review by a Columbian court, but he was ignored. I feel this is a breach of the balance of powers put into the constitution. As such I feel it is fair to declare the General Assembly illegal and as such invalid.

> If they didn't commit crimes, then they are innocent
The fault is your assumption of the word meaning no crimes = innocent.
"Not responsible for or directly involved in an event yet suffering its consequences." Everyone here has shown up at Titan with purpose and direct responsibility to attack those that are residing inside of the tower. They came fully-geared and ready to fight almost instantaneously with 0 intent on any level of negotations.
Several people were pearled as a result of the attack, and ultimately those that did not have direct reason for us to keep them pearled (those that aren't apart of our war goal) were released to go back and do what they were doing previously.
Continued assault on Titan was of course expected, and after a few days we eventually declared that we would no longer release players 'scott free' for trying to break open a vault of PvP-players and defensive griefers.
> Retaliating against aggressors both in the immediate past and with a long history of fucking with the server
And what's to say that players apart of your coalition don't also have a history of 'fucking with the server'? We just had Malen writing a confession post a few days ago detailing the fact that his alt was used to raid, to name one. If that is your justification, then it would be you justifying anyone in Titan to retaliate against their aggression and be called 'innocent'. Thus, your reasoning makes both sides innocent, and is invalid.
My point is simple: Only GordonFreemanQ under the account AnitaSarkeesian is innocent. He had no involvement in his account getting pearled, and was released shortly after he was pearled with all of his items returned. Everyone else that follows, including myself, has no reason to presume absence of responsibility for what happens here.
The form is still open if you'd like to submit data, I can edit the results to reflect data given by late comers later. The form is here.
The Constitution does not allow me to do that.
The citizens of Columbia did not vote for that.
The Congress has not authorized me to do that.
I am either getting called a tyrant or a pussy at any moment in time.
History shows armies take wealth as much as they protect it. We decided against it.
You make me laugh.
Of the 43 I don't a one that is a griefer. I am not defending them if they are I am just not personally aware of it (I would be more than happy to work with everyone to find out who they consider griefers and not). Our current census is about as correct as it can be. It has been put together by one of our younger members. Here is a link to our current cenus
We will definitely discuss our position on griefing. The establishment of the government is moving slow (have to give notice to all the citizens, and find mutually agreeable times to meet, ect...) but we really are trying.
Thank you for your suggestions, we really do want to do our best.

The google group is now public maybe this will help make it a little more active, I made it private in the past so that we could discuss things like bugs we didn't want getting exploited, but it quickly grew too large to trust for that purpose, hence defeating the point of leaving it private.
The lack of code standards is a serious problem, back when we started we didn't think of having so many plugins, if we where to start again (and it looks like we might have to soon) then many more standards would be used and we could hopefully clean things up.
I will also point out that Humbug is the plugin designed to hold all the stuff that does not go anywhere else, so its quite crowded. Now it might have been better practice to make clear what part of it is doing what, because it does so much now that its difficult to keep track of.
http://bandwidthcontroller.com/trafficShaperXp.html might work for Windows running a localhost server.
That being said, it wasn't latency. Dredd reported that his ping was somewhere around 150ms, which is acceptable.

> (how do I host both request tracker and dokuwiki on port 80?)
You're using Apache with a document root full of php scripts, right?
If you wanted to host the issue tracker on a subdomain (e.g. issues.civcraft.co), you could use a VirtualHost like this:
<VirtualHost *> ServerName issues.civcraft.co DocumentRoot /path/to/directory/full/of/nasty/php/scripts/for/issue/tracker/ </VirtualHost>
But if you want a path like civcraft.co/issues
, you could try using Alias:
Alias /issues /path/to/directory/full/of/nasty/php/scripts/for/issue/tracker/
(all of that would be on top of your existing config)
I haven't used Apache in a while, but I hope this helps a little.
>* Yay, more code to maintain but hey I will take anything if it works at this point, stalled Sharding development is a real shame when everyone is complaining about lag. Has anyone else heard of Elixir?
Based on its intended use, the maintenance of it should be pretty trivial, if not minimal. Its being made as a sort of run and forget. The plugins themselves will do most of the understanding. Its a literal router, it will just pass messages.
I also don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon. When i consider it finished Il go back through and properly comment everything down to each function. Plus perhaps an illustration of the logistics.
It's being made generic enough that any plugin can easily connect into it, along with enabling any external applications a verified path for direct bukkit plugin communication. Hell, if you'd use the api of it locally, you could have cross bukkit plugin interaction without worrying about depenacy issues with outdated plugins.

Vanilla Str II and regular diamond sword can deal 10.5 hearts on an unarmored foe. Also, it is never possible to hit more than 2.5 hearts in vanilla against a fully protted opponent. The only reason people think they were getting 4 hearted is because you can deal 5 hearts of damage in one second. This is a great tool https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/10415349/ This is if the bug doesn't multiply damage, which afaik it just ignores the vanilla reversion.

What have the other musicians of Civcraft been working on? Reply with your songs I wanna hear you all <3
Jar compiled from my source. Sorry I've got a lot going on most of which I can't share with internet peoples, but I'm also just not playing Civcraft at the moment which makes me a lot less motivated to develop for Civcraft. It seems to at least minimally work and this is something people can test without practically any other plugins. Your need to change the settings from the defaults to enable generating a safe spot and searching around the spot.
No, it says some are launch approved. Not sure what you're reading as this is the ticket to watch and it is currently still in the "In Progress" catagory.
>Additionally, some folks have proposed creating a dev VM, which would be nice. Not sure how one would go about that though.
Where I work every project has its own VM with its own software installed, it makes it easier for different people to work on a project without having to install everything directly on their machine. How we do it like this:
Install an OS just like you would on a computer.
Install everything you need on the VM
Configure the database on the VM
Distribute the VM, though by this point it might be around 20 - 40 gigs so I don't know how best to do so. Mega? Torrent?
Over time we've accumulated templates for different OS and programs and we usually just start from those and add on whatever we need for a specific project. It should be fairly simple for someone to manage a dev VM for civcraft.
Open Sauce + makes it easy to two click install forge + liteloader together. Only downside I've found is trying to run multiple clients requires multiple profiles, but it's easy enough to clone an existing one.
I might be wrong, but I think this is the one we currently using. As far as raw processing power, there are no real upgrade options. We hit the point of diminishing returns awhile ago. Anything else that is even slightly better will be significantly more expensive.

ohgodohgodohgodohgod. Well, If you want to protect the deleted data avoid making any new files, or increasing the size of pre existing files as that could overwrite the data. Ideally turn the machine off and put the drive into something else where you will run the software. When you delete anything you basically just erase the part of the file allocation table that says where on the drive the data is, continuing to use the drive runs the risk of the data getting overwritten, the recovery software basically works by analyising the drive for chunks that look like data, working out what type it is and if it's related, then giving it a new name and file extension. I can't recommend any software in particular, but I have used this kind of thing before.
This one looks promising: http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk , It's GNU and you can download it, apart from that I have no idea.
I use Open Broadcaster Software. It is meant for streaming, but it allows output to file. It's entirely free (and open source), has low footprint and has a ton of settings you can fiddle with to make the video output just as you need it. Also supports some advanced hardware features (like Nvidia NVENC).
The only thing that may be hard is the first setup and to find ideal video quality for just the right output size and encoding speed.
Here is my concern with vanilla armor as it is:
Compare Vanilla diamond vs Prot IV diamond.
regen II pots, Sharp V, STR II pots, 50% miss chance (~1 hit per second)
lets fight: https://www.desmos.com/calculator/z85rwnxyxp
Hint: 6.5secs vs 171secs
Sure it is just one scenario, but it is one of many similar outcomes comparing the disparity caused by enchanting.
Enchanting should absolutely be better, and be worth the cost. However as it is implemented it makes all other alternatives literally trash.
Pssst, PHP is death; Take a hint from Google.

4 cups lettuce, chopped
1 cup beans, pulled pork or ground beef
2 small tomatoes, chopped
½ cup corn, canned or fresh
2-3 Scallions, finely chopped
1 cup tortilla chips, roughly crushed
Cheddar or queso fresco, for sprinkling
¼ cup sour cream or yogurt
juice of one lime
salt and pepper
cucumber
jalapeno
bell peppers
grated carrots
Mix up the dressing. Taste it and adjust the salt, pepper and lime juice to your taste. Add everything to a large bowl and use a large spoon or tongs to mix it all together (this is the fun part). Add the dressing right before serving and toss to coat everything thoroughly. Serve and eat immediately with a couple of extra tortilla chips crushed and sprinkled on top.

I'm aware you discussed file based chunk loading from an SSD but have you considered using RAM disk for the map while doing periodic saves asynchronously to less volatile media?
Just a thought as you said Minecraft performs chunk loading in the main thread, and it has been remarked that RAM disks run rings around typical SSDs in performance, the main drawback being possible loss of data if you experience a full system crash.
I'm not quite as good at organising my thoughts onto a page as you appear to be so I'll throw in this <em>expertly</em> designed diagram as a loose suggestion of a plausible solution for protecting against larger losses of data due to unexpected loss of power/system crashes.

> especially with the hate-boner you guys already have for Chanada
I can't speak for individual opinions but the city has no "hate-boner" for Chanada, as you put it. In any case, if Chanada wanted to stop individual citizens having a negative opinion of you guys you could start by stopping with your threats to attack us. True, you only considered it rather than actually commit to it but if you want to act as if people don't think you highly for no reason at all then try not say those things in public.
> Don't forget back then you were considering banning all Chanadians from NDZ
I don't seem to remember this so if you could link me that would be good. For now I'll take your word on it and say that as NDZ is deeply democratic the fact that Chanadians haven't been banned from NDZ should be evidence enough that the majority of people opposed that. Never confuse considering something with actually doing something, just as I didn't confuse you considering to attack us with you actually attacking us.
So, no argument from me.
I made the trello task after all
Like two months ago. Just hard finding people who will take a stab at it with serious consideration and not just hacking and slashing costs b/c they feel like it.

They do a lot of cool stuff but the side effects are super shitty hours and pay since the company tries to cut costs of manned spaceflight as much as possible.
Find a laptop meeting your hardware needs and then install ubuntu. After installing ubuntu follow some of these.
(optional) Install chrome/chromium - I prefer chromium - and follow the instructions under the "Experiment at your own risk" heading here - in addition change "Maximum tiles for interest area" to 512 - make sure to install adblock too!
Make sure to install optifine and configure it properly.
If you want to run a few mods on minecraft, you'll want a laptop with a beefy processor and a nice gpu. For brands of laptops, the cheapest you'll get for your needs is a rebranded Clevo or Sager laptop, plus you could find a Clevo or Sager which allows you to upgrade certain components later on!
It's a faithful32 pvp pack that I added a modified version of the sphax obby texture to so that I could stand living inside an obby box.
>Going to try out Plasma 5 today, live CD version as the fedora repo seems to not come with a signing key.
Try it out on Kubuntu. The Neon project is a Kubuntu and KDE collab. where most of the KDE5 development has been tested. Should work best there.
It's probably best to use the built in function. You can then construct the data with simple arrays and plain data objects (assoc. arrays). It should look something like this, I would say that I only need location name, amount of deals, and maybe URL to open (that could be constructed from city name so maybe it's not needed).
Ah ok, well if you ever want something a little cheaper and with console access (last time i check GoDaddy didn't have that but it may have changed) check out OVH SSD VPS
https://www.ovh.com/us/dedicated-servers/enterprise/2014-SP-64.xml this is what we currently have, i think we pay a little more because of some of the options we choose such as ssd's instead of the mechanical drives
For your reference
So as ttk stated bellow, better processor. Titan does have less ram but as it stands now we would be fine and we could always add.
https://www.ovh.com/us/vps/vps-cloud.xml
Cheapest cloud plan is VPS Cloud 1 at $15, but the VPS Cloud 2 looks a bit more flexible to me with 4 cores and 4 gigs of ram at $23 a month.
If we leave reddit, it will also have to host a ticket system or such, like redmine or what not. The account issue would hopefully not be as much of a problem in that case, because it would be still be 1 account for all things civcraft.
Edit: Also, for reference, the Discourse github which has the setup guide.
https://github.com/discourse/discourse
It's rather quick to setup, though getting used to docker is a bit funky, it is nice. Also, it has reply by email for discussions, which is really nice.
I've looked a little bit at something similar to google maps called Leaflet, we could try that. http://build-failed.blogspot.com/2012/11/zoomable-image-with-leaflet.html I found this tutorial about it that seems straightforward. http://leafletjs.com/
edit: Obviously you can ignore all the parts about making the tiles and scroll down to the leaflet part in the tutorial.
Actually, a lot of the programs I have are from f-droid because it doesn't need the google thing, all I have to do is grab the APK file from the f-droid site and it just works. :-)
I particularly like this keyboard, much nicer than the default one, and you can configure it all sorts of different ways.
(I wonder if there's any apps anywhere to let me plug a webcam into my tablet and use it the way most tablets with built-in cameras use their built-in one?)
Port is 64738, there is no password for civcraft mumble server.
Also if you are on Android I recommend using Plumble , free version on f-droid, donation version is on play store
Which conjugations are unnecessary? Sorry if this annoys you, I just enjoy picking apart my grammar since I'm out of practice.
dices (tu conjugation, so "you say") asi porque tienes (tu conjugation again, this time "you have" because fear is referenced as an object instead of a state in spanish) miedo
"asi" is a direct object pronoun in that sentence.
the amplitude of strength potions are changed by the plugin. So it it MUST be a variable. It can be changed by bergeypvp, and makes a significant difference in the graph. Just slide str(level) to see the impact.
I just finished a new version of the simulator:
Added Potion Kits : https://www.desmos.com/calculator/tec3ju2ydj
Tweak the 4 "bergeypvp Parameters".
By default, You get 2 regen II, 2 str II, 2 Health II.
You can change that in the "Potion Kit" folder.
You will notice in the default config that running out of regen II and then health II pots is what lead to death on both players (fairly closely together)
> Within a server, it is not, and I only care about this server.
But even within a server it is still a variable. It is undefined. I can't just hardcode 0 or 1 into it. Hence, variable. And in this case you can't measurement. We have no metric, nor the tools to measure what percentage of pvp ends up with people running out of potions.
I made you a graph just like you were talking about:
https://www.desmos.com/calculator/ojagqdgfte
Single variable slope. Now, tell me what d(amciv) = 1.8 means?
Better yet, show me multiple scenarios with your new single variable graph. Regen 1/2, high miss chance, no enchants, etc.
You will have to manually calculate d(amciv) for EVERY scenario, instead of just changing a slider. You will literally have to have a calculator for your calculator. Which is ridiculous.
> UNLESS sharpness and strength DON'T just change linear slope in the same way.
You mean to say that every one of my sliders is a separate mechanic? Because it is. Hence why they are separate sliders.
> then the calculator isn't modeling it correctly
It is modeling correctly. Just too correctly for your particular preferences.
Your A/B ultimatum is wrong. I have mutliple sliders that all impact linear items because I want to adjust them individually and have an immediate set of settings to apply in game. It is a sum of linear equations with an approximately linear result. It isn't pointless to see the breakdown without extra calculations.
> straight line model is incorrect
If you want to continue with that assertion, then tell me what aspect is modeled wrong (you will find it is modeled correctly). It is broken down nicely, and you can even turn on "just see damage from sharpness" graph line if you want to see how it contributes to the total.
Anyways. Go ahead and use your new "simple" calculator and code a plugin that supports an abstract "net damage (healing + damage)" single scalar value. Good luck doing anything with that scalar in minecraft's event system.
I don't think we should copy the content, keep the current one as a legacy and nothing more.
If we do a new wiki we need to do it right, and with a clean slate. I reccomend doku with this for a layout https://www.dokuwiki.org/template:vector
I'd assume /u/Bobpndgrn, as he's the new wiki admin, and thus the person to talk to on all these issues.
What do you think about this layout for now? Green found it yesterday. Until we move to a new system (which, IMO, we need), we can use it. It even looks like a mediawiki layout, which is a plus, since I personally think we should go to a mediawiki-powered wiki, and would make the transition much easier.
Just an idea, but since this would probably be a very daunting task you might want to ask ttk or whomever runs the wiki to install this plugin and maybe you could get people to directly edit the timeline or otherwise help build it up before converting it to a static infographic image.
I am downloading manually during library setup, but referencing them locally without installing to a repo is messy and strongly discouraged.
I had to resort to this mess to compile, just what I was trying to avoid: http://maven.apache.org/plugins/maven-compiler-plugin/examples/set-compiler-source-and-target.html
That didn't really help me to be honest probably because of it being a little outdated but thanks for sharing, Promofaux gave me pretty good instructions how to set up this version of tabbychat 2 properly.
Now I have filters for everything including Skynet, general groupchats, snitches and such
It just appears to be ROT2 on the whole ascii table, which explains the special symbols. Neat.
EDIT: The python snippet and ROT2 decryption: > Greetings comrades. I am posting this on the main subreddit to show our enemies (if we actually have any) that we have a new encryption program. I'm not quite sure how well you can copy this with Reddit's css shit, but if you guys use RES (Reddit Enhancement Suite) you can obtain the plain text which will make it easier to decrypt in the future. If you want the code, you must be a part of the National Soviet. I have the code because I programmed it so don't bitch. Anyways if you don't have it already, (and I mean the version created on Friday, November 20) please PM me on Skype. Going on a 20 day trip to Europe this summer! Officially confirmed date is June 24!
Going to visit various towns in Italy, France and England, as well as live with local families several nights! Super excited!
So, I've been looking around for a book to read while I'm there, and I've settled on getting a single-volume of Dante's Divine Comedy with all cantos. I wanted something that's a good long read, and is influential to European culture.
What's the best translation/copy at an affordable price? Preferably hardback.
So far, I'm thinking of this copy by Freeman's Library. Love the company. Read a copy of 1984 and Catch-22 from them and they've got quality, beautiful products, would recommend. The translation is Mandelbaum’s, which is supposed to be pretty good.
Any books that are better? Like I said, a good long read that's influential.
