You really did a lot in a relatively short comment: 1) convinced me to try Tekukor; 2) made me feel like shit about my life choices; 3) did it all while still being likable.
While we are sharing holy grail products: I am left-handed so I’m used to the smearing across the page life. The only pens I’ve ever tried that do not smear no matter what are:
Muji Gel Ink Ball Point Pen,... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N8QNC59?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
They’re expensive, but now that I’ve had a taste of what not smearing feels like, I can’t get enough. They truly write like a .38mm pen (versus others I’ve tried that are just way too thick that I don’t know how they get away with saying they’re .38, but I digress). You can adjust how much bounce they have when you press down while writing, too. I didn’t like whatever they came set at, so I tightened them up by screwing the top, and now they have less give when writing. They also get good darkness when needing to bubble something in (but this does use a lot of ink, so I reserve those activities for my Pilot Precise V5 rolling ball).
If you’re not married to a pen (or you’re left handed), I would recommend giving these a try.
Big, big fan over here.
Less than $60 on amazon I got it a few weeks ago and loving it!
This happens when you use stickers in the same spot on the page every time you make a new page! The stickers have a thickness and will eventually make the journal a little bulky. I recommend moving around your sticker placement or trying out washi-like stickers. Hope that helps!!
Edit: typo
For some reason I cant find them when I search Amazon anymore :o but they are dual tip marker pens. The one side is a fine liner and the other is a brush tip :)
Found them! looks like they're not currently available though.
I got them from amazon! I’m very picky about washi tapes so I was really excited when I found this set and liked all three of the designs
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01E5XJROM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_MZUeBb24PCJH0
PS sorry about the ugly link, i’m on mobile
Here is the case. It’s technically a pencil case, so it’s a tight squeeze for the Tombow markers, but it works! I ran out of room and might get a smaller one for my pencils!
Thanks again /u/amtor26 for posting about this!
To anyone putting website logins and/or passwords on paper anywhere: stop. Inevitably, the question will turn from "what would you do if your notebook was lost?" to "what do I do now since my notebook was lost?" You can be the most cautious person in the world, but I can guarantee you'll either misplace your notebook someday or someone will snoop around and get all this info easily.
I would highly recommend investing in a password manager like 1Password or LastPass for this purpose.
So I have one of those erasers that's in pencil form, like, it looks like a pencil, but instead of "pencil lead" or whatever, it's an eraser. It gets into tiny spaces to erase small stuff.
Anyway, I've had luck toning down smears like this with these erasers. They have a light grit, so don't press too hard. It might help!

Here is a YouTube Video that explains what the machine does: https://youtu.be/8bhiCzKOUt8
It’s $33 on amazon right now and comes with a couple stamps. You can buy more on amazon as well - buy one with the stamping brick for each size and then just buy the plates after that because you can slide them onto the bricks. Silhouette Mint Stamp Kit and Ink Bottles https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ZSQX63O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_M0DIBbMEJ599N
In the software, I switched to centimeters so I could measure out my lines to match up with the size I wanted. It’s working pretty slick!
Pro-tip! Buy sheets of magnets (I got these on Amazon), stick your stickers on them, cut them out, and then keep them forever!
I have lots of metal things I use for decor like lockers and metal panels I got at IKEA and they’re just covered in “stickers.”
I really like this journal. It’s cheap and the paper is really thick!
Something that contributed to ghosting is how much pressure you put on the pen. You need to press much harder with standard ball points than other types of writing instruments. Granted Leuchttrums also bleed through with my fine liners and gel pens...
Thanks! It's one of my favorite, no-fuss setups.
Yes, it's a digital bullet journal I made myself. I shared a link to download it in this Reddit post, if you'd like to download it. I use the journal in the GoodNotes app on an iPad.
The Bullet Journal Method: Track the Past, Order the Present, Design the Future https://www.amazon.com/dp/0525533338/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ouoFDbGR4BW5P[The Bullet Journal Method](https://www.amazon.com/Bullet-Journal-Method-Present-Design/dp/0525533338/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=the+bullet+journal+method+book&qid=1568466284&sprefix=the+bu&sr=8-3)
You could also use a circle template. They are closer to about $5-$15.
Edit: this one is a little more expensive but gets you bigger circles. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000KNL8EO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_3YVTEMT9EKX1TJ7FM4VT
I use Scotch brand double sided tape roller / dispenser thingy. Similar to this one. I haven’t had any problems, nothing has fallen off and it’s a very smooth application.
I bought these a while ago and they're really great. The paper's thick enough for pens to not bleed through
I ordered this bujo but unfortunately the circle is not a sticker... It's the cheapest and closest to the A4 size that I could find with a lot of pages. It's also paperback. Unfortunately there are no reviews (yet) on amazon. The paper seems pretty thin but we will see how it works out. I took the journal to the local FedEx office to have them cut off the spine and spiral bind it. I also had vinyl front and back cover added. It made it so much sturdier and look nicer! Other than that I'm super excited to start on my first bujo!
Edit: Here is the page of swatches and the ghosting/bled through. I think some of the bleed through was because I was coloring in the squares super slowly to make it perfect. It was way too time consuming so I started to quickly color to decrease bleed but the pages are thin.
I don’t know if this is where the OP found it but looks like Amazon has some (limited stock though!!!)
ETA: actually there’s a variety of types so maybe stock isn’t as limited.
They are cool. Makes drawing so much easier if you don't have the skill (like me). I bought them from Amazon - link below. There are loads of others available, but I'd recommend getting steel ones, as apparently the plastic ones don't work as well: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B06WRNNCPR/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I also got these coloured pens to use with them: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01N1YRRTD/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I have had the same issue with my leuchtturm and moleskin - the paper is thin. I decided to try this notebook I found on Amazon, so far it's been my favorite and I have even done some watercoloring on it and it has not wrinkled or given me any issues: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1441323716/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I ended up buying 5 of these notebooks for my future BUJO'S and the prices is definitely better.
Looks like it's the Pentel Fude Touch. I was able to find it by googling SES15C.
I think this is the same pen and I hope it is because I just ordered one!
Here's the amazon smile link for the same pen in violet
Edit: Changed both links to amazon smile links :)
I got it on Amazon, its this: Miquelrius Soft Bound Medium Journal, 300 Sheets/600 Graph Pages, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019PVSRBI/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_2YzCybR2EZHPM
It's also available at Barns and Nobles for cheaper, but since I live far away from one the cost was the same either way.
The binding can come loose if you use it heavily, I just tossed in elmers glue into the bit and let it dry. Haven't had another issue yet. Hope this helps!
They come as a set of 20, and they are all unique/individually packaged. I got them from Amazon, here is a direct link:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075L86Q3L/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I started with these Fudenosuke pens, which are super cheap on Amazon. If you're looking for a wide variety of color, but still a pretty easy-to-use pen, check out these as well. The trick is to find a pen that has a stiffer tip. The softer brush pens are trickier to learn on, but it can be done. I like the black Fudenosuke pens because they are pretty similar, but the blue one has a harder tip and the green one has a bit more give. It should be able to help you transition into using softer brush tips!
If you need more stencils like these, any 7"x4" set like this one for lettering should fit.
There is this one from a quick Amazon search, and a ton of ~180 page journals at 160gsm.
If you find yourself gluing pages a lot, another option is gluing craft paper or some other decorations for full page coverage instead of the pages themselves.
I just ordered one the other day called Dot:grid Designbook from Amazon (Dot:Grid Designbook: 8.5" x 11" https://www.amazon.com/dp/1511782420/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_C15Xxb800QAM1) It's normal printer paper sized, has a dot grid, the pages are bright white and pretty thick. Plus it's only $8.50. I got it and have been loving it!
Amazon has plenty of A5 6 ring binders, but they're all over $10! The cheapest one I could find was this one: https://www.amazon.com/AUCH-Plastic-Protectors-Notebook-6-Holes/dp/B01AJ2CLY6/ref=sr_1_2?s=office-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1493828152&sr=1-2&keywords=A5%2B6%2Bring%2Bbinder&th=1
It's kind of see through but I think if you had a really colorful first page, it would be nice!
I also really like this one, too! It's a nice neutral color.
I found the dot grid on Amazon from the same maker, much cheaper and IMO best notebook I have used since I started bullet journaling (I am on my 4th notebook): https://www.amazon.com/Essentials-Matrix-Notebook-Bullet-Journal/dp/1441323716/ref=la_B00P7QR4RO_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1499478010&sr=1-1
I got them on amazon! 3-Pack, Minimalism Art | Classic Notebook Journal, Size: 5" X 8.3", A5, Pink, Plain/Blank Page, 240 Pages, Hard Cover/Fine PU Leather, Inner Pocket, Quality Paper - 80gsm | Designed in San Francisco https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076YNQTMB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_avIBAbM713W8J
It's this one I got in a 2-pack from Amazon. I really love that it's spiral bound, it makes it much easier to work on individual pages IMO :)
Dude, I just got this pack off of Amazon. 20 pens, a couple of repeats (two black, blue, and red), and a couple pastel and metallic colors too. I got it for $25. Worth it in my opinion.
On amazon! You can customize it! Contact the seller and ask. It has to be an approved image, so give an idea of what you would like and see if they can do it for you. As you can tell, I love tigers lol.
Balance Personalized A5 Leather Lined Journal - Inspirational Notebook Diary - Green https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07L9YWNKG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_3F4rCbV28T428
These Are the ones I got from Amazon. They aren't as nice as the one OP posted, but there is a ton of adorable options and were great for a 3 year old birthday party. But I did think of them for BuJos.
Omg, having a binder so I could move pages/remove mistakes/have different types of paper was an absolute must for me! I am new to BuJo and this was my number one requirement when setting up my journal.

Ok, so! This is the paper I got A5 6-Ring Binder/Planner Refill Paper for Filofax. It was my first time getting it, the paper feels nice but is a little thin (I get some bleeding with Zebra Mildliners). I also got plain white paper for when I want to do sketches (A5 6 Hole Punched Blank Paper for FiloFax). There are a lot of other options on Amazon, these are just the two I've tried. You could also cut down and hole punch things like watercolor paper, brown paper, scrapbook paper, etc to use in your journal! So many options!!!!

The binder I actually made myself (eventually I'll post pictures of it). But you can buy A5 6-ring binders on Amazon. It looks like Filofax is a pretty good brand, but I've never used them. There are also tons of beautiful page dividers online or YouTube videos for how to make your own.
Out of curiosity, why do you keep a separate list in bujo, when you also use Goodreads? :) I know this might sound weird on a subreddit where people are enjoying using analog means to keep track of things, but as for me, certain things are way more useful if kept digital. Eg. mood tracker like daylio can give you really useful insights (what actions correlate with which mood), that are kind of hard to get when you stick to paper.
Then again, I needed bujo to sort out my planning for me, and I think it's crucial that it's analog, so... :D
I have to say that my Leuchtturm hard cover is in phenomenal shape, but I always carried it in my bag, and it never really saw heavy use.
Last semester I switched over to this Black Soft Bound Journal due to the phenomenal price, and I have to say that I'll only be using these from now on. It's held up to coffee spills, beer spills, drops, and still looks new.
Pros
They're cheap – 9.95
All Barnes and Nobles usually have at least one
300 pages of graph paper goodness
Cons
A little thicker than most notebooks
The paper isn't as nice as the Leuchtthurm, but is better than the crappy moleskine paper IMHO
Writing on the back pages can be troublesome before hitting the middle of the notebook, but seeing as that it's a soft cover, you can just fold it differently.
Just discovered BuJo today and am creating my journal right now.
I have a lot of experience with Evernote and I have to say that while it's good for Journaling, it's not meant for tasks.
Evernote, like an elephant, is slow; taking 5 seconds - 120 seconds to load and by that time, you already forget what you wanted to write.
Evernote also 1:20 ratio of crashing and then rebooting which adds to the 5-120sec delay.
Evernote is also extremely messy (especially with tasks and notebooks) which means that I can go back and find out what I ate for dinner march 27 2013 but it also means that I have a harder time finding older lists.
Evernote is very distracting with all these things to do instead taking my attention away from what I need.
The best solution is to keep using your paper BuJo and then Scan it into Evernote using your tablet.
This means that you get appropriate lighting, take a picture of your journal and save these pictures in your Evernote.
This serves as a digital backup in case your physical journal is lost/damaged.
Thank you so much!! I use it to write calligraphy only, I did not use it in this artwork but I loved the way it all looks together!!
It's very beautiful indeed and I cherish it so much. It was a present from my best friend, she ordered it from Amazon, I think. This is the set!
I was also getting frustrated with smudging pens on the Leuchtturm1917. I'm in love with my Pentel Slicci 0.25 mm ball points. Since they're so thin, they dry really quickly. I could only find black and green to buy as individuals, but I'm seriously considering buying a full set while they're on sale on Amazon. (Disclaimer: this is amazon.ca)
Thanks!! So far this layout has been working for me. I just started to use this notebook I found on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Essentials-Matrix-Notebook-Bullet-Journal/dp/1441323716/ref=la_B00P7QR4RO_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1499478010&sr=1-1
It's paper I find is thicker than the other notebooks I have used in the past, so by far my favorite notebook I have used.
I just bought a pack off Amazon, and have done a couple pages and there is ghosting but it's very minimal (admittedly worse with certain pens and colors) and I'm happy with it. This is my index and the ghosting from it. Pretty faint. http://imgur.com/gallery/Ft5HDYF
The brand name in the cover is Lenome, but the seller on Amazon is BooQool. Here's the link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0778KGTTB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_XPKwBb89E46E4
Lemome should really pay me by now because I can't stop recommending their journals here. I bought them using this amazon listing without realizing the brand. No idea if this listing will always yield Lemomes, though. If you look it up on Amazon and check the real branded listings, the notebooks are a bit pricier than this but still on the less expensive side.
The paper is 120 gsm and delightfully thick without being cardstocky. I don't get much ghosting and definitely nothing approaching bleeding. I mostly use Staedlers and Tombows but I have been using cheapo disposable Pilot fountain pens as well and have had good results, no bleeding. My one gripe is that the pages are cream-colored and not white.
The most popular option for bullet journaling is the Leuchturm 1917 A5 dotted journal, and it has 251 pages. on amazon
Sure thing! And thank you
There's a few on Amazon, this is the one I personally went with
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07YHX7KVK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_qH8gFbTG783P9
A few warnings though about it! I personally went with it because I wanted a sturdier construction, there's a few acrylic/plastic ones on Amazon as well that look nice.
The construction is study once you put it all together, and it definitely feels much sturdier than a plastic alternative, but you have to be a bit carful when you're putting it together. The wood pieces kinda fit together tight and beautifully, and then you screw them in place to make sure they stay. The screwing bit, make sure you're DEAD ON going straight because it's easy to angle it poorly and damage it
I'll also say the black paint finish probably~ will scratch easily, and the screws aren't hidden at all, but I think if it does get roughed up it's easy enough to just spray-paint a matte black or something. I'm personally not too concerned about it since the construction and organization is obviously what I want, but if constructing it / scratches open screws might annoy you I'd go with an acrylic alternative on Amazon
EDIT
HERE'S A Link to the side-view so you can see what I meant about the screws. Personally doesn't bother me, but black flat screws would've been the smarter choice. You could always spray-paint them if you have black paint handy, or just use different screws.
https://photos.app.goo.gl/82HwAV1Uu117NzTt9
Also included a picture of the drawer since I didn't really show it. It's nice. Altogether happy with the purchase 4/5 stars. Just wanted to let you know more about it
It is washi, I can confirm! Here’s an amazon link: Agutape 48 Rolls Washi Tape Set,Foil Gold Skinny Decorative Masking Washi Tapes,3MM Wide DIY Masking Tape https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0782SBNBR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_iR0pEbAFFFCW5
It does! Yellow is missing but you can use an erasable highlighter for that.
Thanks! I adapted this design: https://www.shutterstock.com/image-vector/set-polygon-abstract-logo-bat-468348548?src=eQhMvV3o30cz19tDwP3tLA-1-3
There are a couple other ones out there, but I liked this one best.
Lucky for us I have been able to group everything I've saved in OneTab so hopefully this will help! I do have artsy ones mixed in as well though so sorry for that! I have some saved on instagram collection and some saved here as well! But hopefully I am able to help with this first (I have an exam on Tuesday night so I shouldn't even be on reddit! D: )
I use my bulletjournal mainly as a planner - sure I will sometimes write some thoughts/observations in my daily notes but it's more a tool to keep me organized and help me not forget to do things.
I also have a personal blog that I update infrequently. I also run a podcast.
I've also started writing in a separate notebook based on a daily prompt (non-fiction). I'm doing this mainly to use up the multitude of pens and notebooks I have before buying any more (of either). This stuff I am sharing on Ello, because I'm trying to use that platform a little more. Seems suited for it.
I made my own journal by using a cute a5 binder and cardstock paper. I just print out the bullet grid pattern onto the cardstock and holepunch it to go in my journal lol. It's a bit more work, but now the only things that ghost through are like sharpies or copics. I can use anything else and not see a rrace of it on the other side!
I agreeee! I took this off my bookshelf to take the photo because I just couldn’t pass it up. I got the journal on Amazon!
I use these gold markers from Edding! They are lovely to work with! :)
No actually it’s uniball signo pens!
This is the pack I have. They’re really juicy pens but have pretty thick strokes so they aren’t as good for writing.
Uni-ball Signo Broad UM-153 Gel Ink Pen, 7 colors set (Japan Import) [Komainu-Dou Original Package] https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0141N9QEW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_SZM.FbA2AENXR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I got it yesterday from Amazon and it was cheap! I have a giant Kipling case that's impossibly impractical to carry around. This is like a Tardis: bigger in the inside!
The ribbon was learned from The Revision Guide. And of course I now banner everything!
i found these in the virgin store but if you cant find them there, here is the amazon link
So I've used the Moleskine and Leuchtturm for my bullet journal but I found the paper to be perhaps a little too thin. Of course they are classics so it may be the best choice, but if she's anything like me I am now using a Dingbats Journal which took me hours of scrolling through amazon to find. Definitely a lifechanger and an amazing find. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01N9VM7FM/ref=twister_B01N0FH7N2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Also in terms of other stationary - any washi tape is pretty much a staple and the risk of getting something she already has is slim.
Otherwise this shop has free international delivery. https://kawaiipenshop.com/ "3PlusaBunny" should give you 10% off.
I hope this helps!
Sure thing! Desktop Organizer with Marker Storage
The washi tape organizer that I got doesn't seem to be on the website but there's a different one on Amazon that seems very similar (only difference is mine is wood). Here is the Amazon one.
I have had the same issue with my leuchtturm and moleskin - the paper is thin. I decided to try this notebook I found on Amazon, so far it's been my favorite and I have even done some watercoloring on it and it has not wrinkled or given me any issues: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1441323716/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I ended up buying 5 of these notebooks for my future BUJO'S and the prices is definitely better.
Also available on US Amazon
I just ordered them off Amazon!!
Bullet Journal Stencil Plastic Planner Stencils Journal/Notebook/Diary/Scrapbook DIY Drawing Template Stencil 4x7 Inch, 12 Pieces https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074WTLWX6?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
Thank you! I got it from Amazon, here’s the link: Westcott protractor ruler. I like it because it’s metric, and the Leuchtturm dots are about 5mm apart.
I got a big set from Amazon the other day for $15 for 48 rolls. It’s a great mix of designs and brightness. Not huge rolls but more on each roll than I’ve ever wanted to use.
48 Rolls Washi Tape Set, Decorative Tape Japanese style design, Great Glitter washi tape For Planners, Arts, Crafts, DIY. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076J79YTN?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
https://www.amazon.com/Tomoe-River-Notebook-184-Sheet-TMR-A5NDW/dp/B079XXYWMZ This is the exact notebook I have. I live in Korea so it's a bit cheaper than Amazon prices lol I also wouldn't classify it as a hardcover. It's not soft cover but more like cardboard, fairly sturdy. I keep the clear cover on it to put things inside.
I bought a bullet journal on Amazon named Essentials Large Black Dot Matrix Notebook (Diary, Journal). It is basically the same thing as a Moleskine or a Leuchturrm 1917, but for half the price and with much better paper. I recommend it!
Large as in size of paper?
Large in terms of number of pages? That's more difficult.
I use a 2 pack journal I found on Amazon. Hardcover pleather, no numbers, and dotted, with a pocket in the back. For 14$ (so 7 a piece). The pages are thick enough that I can use my crayola supertip markers and have no bleeding, but not excessively thick. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0778KGTTB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_q6z4BbANMTEJ2
I also have a Minimalist Art notebook. I haven't actually used this one, but the pages are thick. 100gsm. IMO, I think they'll be too thick for my liking, but it depends on what you do with your bujo. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077Y5KDJP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_SaA4BbCD56PP7
Uh, alright. Here's the regular link (and the Amazon Smile link) for anyone who wants one but isn't interested in clicking a stranger's referral link. Stick to doing that on your blog, not Reddit.
Scribbles That Matter. $19 on amazon, amazing quality: https://www.amazon.com/Dotted-Journal-Scribbles-That-Matter/dp/B072LL2W46/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=scribbles+that+matter&qid=1554743827&s=gateway&sr=8-3 No bleeding, very little ghosting, fountain pen and watercolor friendly. Pre-numbered, included index and key. And the paper is actually 115g now (the description says 100).
Hmm.. Good to know! I just had bought mine through amazon and I know sometimes there are issues with items sold through amazon whether they're old, or dupes (a big problem with skincare and hair care). I wonder if this might have happened to me? Maybe I'll try buying them again from a better source and see if that works out.
Also, I had found these Ohto Graphic Liners as recommended by some website that I had originally found that made me get the Microns in the first place. They seem pretty comparable in sizes and price but work in different ways.
I use the Krusteaz brand - called light and fluffy pumpkin spice. Most major groceries (if you're in the US) carry it and I normally get it at Costco.
Edit: Link to Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/Krusteaz-Pumpkin-Spice-Pancake-Mix/dp/B00FIRNPPM
Cal Newport has two: “so good they can’t ignore you”; and “deep work”. Both these books changed how I think about what goals I should set and how I should partition my time to produce my most valuable work. If you’re still a student, he started out writing about how the top students study, and I’m sure those books are good too.
“Tools of Titans” by Tim Ferris is not bad... I enjoyed it because I love reading about what other people think and do, and it’s mostly condensed interviews with high performing people.
I use the Leuchtturm 1917 A5 notebook, lined. My next one will be the dot grid, though. I want to practice taking notes and making lists more visually, and I believe the dot grid will help.
My book is in a leather sleeve I got from Barnes & Noble. It was expensive, but it's really soft leather and attractive. I think this is it: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/mobile/w/home-gift-poets-cognac-soft-leather-italian-journal-with-tie/26289840?ean=9780641834448
I put my pen inside the sleeve with the clip attached to the top and wrap it all together, then throw it in my computer bag.
You definitely don't need anything fancy or one specific size/brand/color/etc. I happened to have an A5 journal laying around, so I have been filling that before using anything else.
You can use the graph paper to make a small booklet with just paper and staples if you wanted.
Technically not a blog, but in terms of functionality and aesthetics the bullet journal tag on Tumblr is my favourite. I'm not a student anymore (most of the entries there come from students), but it's a great resource when I'm looking for inspiration or stuff to adapt for my own bullet journal.
I use this cheap notebook. It works fine for my minimalist style. I use a fine point Sharpie pen along with this. My whole setup cost less than five bucks. I'm just a beginner, and I didn't want to overspend until I am sure of what I am doing.
Thanks! It’s a font I downloaded. I type it out on my computer and just do my best writing it with an 08 Micron pen. The font is called “poppit & finch”
No idea who made the font, just randomly found it last year (?) sometime. But here is the link if you are interested!

Have you tried the superbetter app?
It was designed by Jane McGonigal (see her 1st TED talk) to help with depression.
Also, if you're in college, reach out to campus health or your advisor - there are usually support services to help you.
Habitica is my favourite. It's like RPG and habit tracking all in one! Makes doing chores a little bit more fun as you build up XP to fight bosses, collect eggs and hatching potions and equipment to modify your avatar and hatch pets etc.

It might seem like a lot, but don't try to do what others do. Just start simple, learn the basics and you'll be fine. Notion or BuJo, the key is to stay consistent. I'd love to hear your thoughts on Notion if you get the chance to check it out.
I love my Clever Fox planner

Nope Felt tip sharpie pen this is the one I use
I haven't used it yet, but I have a seqes? I think is how it's spelled, dotted journal. It's 160 GSM, the cover is amazing, they're have so many different options for the little design on it...

Came with a little pen too! The pages feel super nice compared to my current cheapy little cocopin journal I got in a bundle.
I literally just got this "bamboo" one from Amazon as others have suggested in this thread, works so great, can hold a 3 inch heavy text book with 1500+ pages like a champ. The little legs that are holding the pages can turn, or rotate, like clock hands, so the pages are either held or free.
I've recently started using these Dyvicl pens, and I haven't had any issues with them in terms of bleeding! I can't speak for any colorful pens though, I haven't had issues with mildliners bleeding yet
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CZD5SW8?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share (that's for a single, super long journal)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08PNVN26L/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_VHQSD7WG1XDTE3Q39B84 (this is a two pack and slightly smaller journal - I recommend this one if you want to save a little money or if you want to give one as a gift!)
I use this notebook and I like it. The pages are thick (which is good because I use markers) and the cover is nice. There's no page numbering or anything, which I prefer but ymmv. Though it seems some of the newer models come with page numbers now.
I don’t really like supporting Amazon....but my last one I did get from there. 220 pages, nice quality paper, hard cover, came with a ruler and stencils. https://www.amazon.ca/Journal-Notebook-Markers-Specific-Perforated/dp/B08FQTKSHB/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=Dotted+Journal&qid=1621910264&sr=8-6
Vision Elite. Note, the black pens are 0.5mm (micro) and the silver pens are 0.8mm (bold).
I have the Leuchtturm1917 A5 dot grid so the 0.5 is perfect for me (and writing smaller).
Archer & Olive for sure! But right now I'm using this one (link) because I tend to fill up pages quickly and I wanted 200 pages instead of the 112. The grey dots are a little too dark but overall I like it!
I haven't bought it yet because I don't draw many circles, but I heard from someone in this sub that this is a must have for drawing circles. I plan to order it soon to have just incase I ever need it.
Helix Angle and Circle Maker with Integrated Circle Templates, 360 Degree, 6 Inch / 15cm, Assorted Colors (36002) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0044S5CZM/ref=cm_sw_r_sm_apa_fabc_05R25XBEDWHQYKYEHHAF?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
The calendar? It is actually quite simple to make, but a bit time consuming. you just have to very lightly pencil in where you want each square or rectangle, make sure you like the layout, and on the light pencil lines use a very thin washi tape to mask off the rows and columns. This is an example of the size washi tape I use for masking. It is easy to be accurate with a straight line - just follow the dots.
You can then use a marker as I did, color pencil, or watercolor and color in the squares. You can use one color, multiple colors, horizontal motion, vertical motion, or diagonal (my preference). When you lift the tape up, you will have perfectly neat areas, but also have a rough look to it, depending how you colored it in and if you overlapped the lines. Takes me about 1-2 hours to do a calendar spread like this depending on the amount of decorating I do.
I am have a couple (okay, four) of these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DJLLT4K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_7RDN7GF0KMXKAV5495W3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Also sold at Michael's crafts stores. Little rubber feet prevent sliding, each drawer has three rows. I use a drinking straw to keep mini rolls in order.
Sure! I purchased this thing on Amazon. I marked the center of the page, and then did the rings with the circle maker. Then I started evenly diving the circle up (1/2, 1/4, 1/8, etc.) until I had enough for the days and erased any extra spaces to create the legend (ABCDE). It definitely isn’t perfect but worked well enough!
I'm not sure if 3 journals will fit in this, but this thing has been amazing to house all my pencils, pens, and my one bullet journal: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MFKFG87. I think you might be able to make it work since it sounds like you have fewer pens/pencils/markers than I do!
