Yeah, saw the Google+ one, guess that's not the same.
Though there does seem to be a Hangouts JavaScript API, and you can use JavaScript to write Windows Phone apps, maybe there is hope...
Though really I forgot about the video chat aspect, I only ever use text chat which is what I was thinking. A really simple, clean, Google chat app.
I thought briefly about trying to integrate it with the Google+ hangout API but not very seriously; it's not clear to me if that can work with apps on outside servers.
My apologies, I've been a bit frustrated with things lately. My bad. After looking a little farther, Google does have an api for their hangouts (https://developers.google.com/+/hangouts/api/). From there it looks like you can completely integrate into your site.
My apologies for the rudeness in the first comment. Best of luck to you!

Google Chat's alone won't be able to format the incoming webhooks, so you will need to first format the value. I have set up something similar using Apps Script and RSS feeds.
It would be easier to have all your friends on one service.
Here's the text chat reference for Google Hangouts, but I don't know if it works in group chats at all, since GH wasn't really built to work with bots in the same way that Discord and Slack are.
Another hello dev here.
I didn't actually work on this, but was part of the team that did. The head moving was the last part we added and was definitely more of a 'bonus' than a main focus. With the new facial tracking parts of the Google Hang out API it's pretty fun to see what you can try and do.
This is the exact same thing as Google+ Hangouts.
They have a fantastic developer's API for that, so just use Google+ to power your application, and use their developer API to make any customization you need.
Have a look at Google+ Hangout Apps.
You get a complete framework with server-client communication not to worry. Basically a shared data object is transferred once a second which should be enough for a card game.
And you get Video conferencing with up to ten people on top
There is not yet something like this but it would be possible for you to build it using Google’s Deep Learning A.I Chatbot Software. You enter stuff you would say such as “Hi mom” and then what the response for that would be and over time it learns and evolves. You would have to manually enter your messages and her responses to those specific messages but it could be done. It won’t be your mom but it might be a good coping mechanism. You could always go onto fiverr.com to look for developers as well. Good luck :/
Hangouts has an API so it’s possible it might be doable.

Frankly, I’m surprised Hangouts still exists. I could have sworn there was an announcement about it fading to black a couple years ago.

It supports the same kinds of integrations as Slack and the rest, but yes, you'd have to build your own or be lucky enough to use a supported service (not terribly difficult if the service supports webhooks, thankfully pretty common)
Google Chat is not on the same tier as Teams/Slack, no where did I claim that. One of my companies recently started using Mattermost. I'd say Google Chat is closer to that tier, where you have a few integration options but not many as of yet.
Chat isn't at Slack/Teams levels yet, but it's obvious that's where they're aiming to be. It's a nice value add for G Suite, but nothing more :-)
EDIT: Put it this way, if Chat continues to improve, maybe G Suite users can their Slack subscriptions in the future.
It assumes you know what a webhook is and how to configure them. The only major difference with using google chat is the format of the JSON. Which is exactly what my post tells you.
There is no need for me to re-write everything that is already written elsewhere, like:
1) How to setup a webhook in tautulli: https://github.com/Tautulli/Tautulli-Wiki/wiki/Notification-Agents-Guide#webhook
2) adding a webhook to google chat: https://developers.google.com/hangouts/chat/how-tos/webhooks
Write a bot to read the Slack json exports that u/kyleheath mentioned and post to Hangouts Chat https://developers.google.com/hangouts/chat/how-tos/service-accounts
Otherwise my suggestion would be to stick to Slack ;) (we use Slack instead of Hangouts Chat, despite being GSuite for everything else)
Hangouts Chat or old Hangouts?
Hangout Chats seems to have extensive documentation here:
But I guess as Google is decommissioning old Hangouts they're removing all the documentation.
If I understand this correctly, then chat bots in Hangout can only see messages that "mention" them.
So you can't use a bot to relay all messages over to Discord.
I've never actually used bots in Hangout before, so take this with a grain of salt.
Create a scrypt that runs at the same every day.
Make it run some form of recording software.
Google hangouts has an api
Make it terminate the recording software.
Send the file by email.
Although with a bit of googling I'm sure you can find some existing code for recording audio from your system's audio output in your prefered language.
Have you read the documentation Google provides? https://developers.google.com/+/hangouts/getting-started
They have several examples and guides on writing Hangouts apps: https://developers.google.com/+/hangouts/writing
Did you have a specific question?
