Hvis du kigger på stedet over Google maps er der ikke noget, billedet er for gamlet. det er ser sådan her ud
Hvorimod på maps, ser det sådan her ud
I hope I don't sound nagger(not my intention) but... Wow.
I mean... Sofia is an extremely safe city and all but asking for a buddy on reddit seems like a very brave idea. Considering that 70% of reddit users are people going through a rough stage of puberty, 15% slacking at work, 14% total creeps and 1% who take advantage of large volumes unfiltered data(yay, one-percenter at last).
If I were you, I'd take my phone, stick my earbuds in my years so no one bothers me(yes, I hate dealing with people), download here maps and the offline version for Sofia and taxime in case you really do get lost. Other than that, take a bus to the center and you'll be fine. 95% of the people under 40 can hold a decent conversation in English, not to mention those under 30, so you will be fine. To my mind, this seems like a more reasonable plan.
In addition you have this. These guys keep track of most of the interesting stuff that's happening so...
Found this bar via google, can you believe it?

A great solution for online searches which respect your privacy: https://duckduckgo.com
HERE maps is a great solution for mapping (and even lets you download them locally on mobile!): https://maps.here.com/
It's still better for offline usage than Google Maps
Here We Go (now that's the app name) let's you download the entire country maps unlike GMaps, and route redirections are instant (in Google maps you need a data connection to make a redirection).
Windows 8/10 Maps app uses HERE Maps resources (and IIRC the POI's database comes from Bing)
I believe ForeFlight has aviation charts: https://www.foreflight.com/products/foreflight-mobile/
You should be able to download the PDF version by searching for yourarea VFR charts pdf
I believe HERE Maps is an app that allows whole street maps to be downloaded: https://maps.here.com
Za zastoje možete koristiti i HERE maps (sa uključenim promet slojem).
Legenda:
As if Google Maps is the only resource. Nothing there. Bing Maps also shows nothing but has shitty resolution in that area.
Windows Phone comes with the HERE Maps app. It works aiight.
Routing and positioning isn't quite as smart as Google Maps, and it lacks Google Maps' live traffic data from Android devices. That said, Google Maps on SO's Samsung Android thing (can't remember the model, it's a few months old) has frozen twice so far while we were trying to route in a hurry with it and we've fallen back on my Windows Phone and HERE Maps, which may be basic feature-wise but at least isn't prone to epileptic fits.
Edit: And, the Gmail mobile website is great, I really don't mind just keeping a tab logged into it in mobile IE.
Here Maps. It's made my Microsoft, it isn't as full fledged as google maps, but it keeps an offline copy of the maps in areas you frequent which can be a life saver. https://maps.here.com/?map=51.50643,-0.12721,12,normal
Check out walaa complex, you will find a couple of shops that will help you on the second floor. If you cant find them ask any shop in the complex they'll point you in the right direction. I used to deal with a couple of shops there ~2 years ago.
Check it out on here.com, which is what Facebook uses. It looks even veinier!
We rented an Audi A1 from Milan and took a trip South through Piedmont into the French Riviera, and then north through Ecrins National Park back to Lake Como and Milan.
We had no troubles driving in Italy and regularly stopped through Piedmont to take pictures of the scenery. We used HERE downloaded maps (https://maps.here.com/) which worked great with our data turned off but GPS turned on.
We did, however, have our car broken into (windows smashed) in Nice (as they probably saw it was an Italian rental with bags on the back seat), so be wary of that, but if its rural areas you might be OK. Just don't leave anything unattended in the car, and you should be fine. We swapped our Audi out immediately at the Nice airport for a Toyota Auris which was also great. So definitely invest in getting the rental insurance. Enjoy!
