That totally depends on the culture of the area you're in. Here in the Netherlands there are a lot of dolmen (we call them hunebedden) and people (children and adults) climb on them and sit on them all the time while visiting them. Same with the burial mounds we have here. It's not considered tasteless and offensive at all here. In fact I have very happy memories of climbing on and under our dolmen as a small kid, as a teenager and as an adult...
It's different if that specific location has been a sacred place continuously, but most Dutch people didn't know our dolmen were actually graves, and if they did, they robbed them... (though most were robbed before current societal memory).
I should add that there are some organisations who do consider it disrespectful, but that is not the common Dutch consensus. It seems to be more a reaction to the shock/offense of foreign tourists towards the climbing than our own cultural inclinations.
She has mental problems. She pretends that it never happened. She also denies getting wasted and forgetting to pick me up at Karate when I was 12. I walked three miles in the snow at night , in sandals and my karate gi, in January in Colorado. She showed up at home three hours later, puked in the hallway and passed out.
She is different now, but refuses to acknowledge what a shitty parent she was.
Edit: Spelled gi correctly. Also looked up the exact distance. It was actually 3.5 miles
When I was a kid (1960s) I owned an air bazooka, about 2.5' long with a pump action. I remember sitting on my front steps and shooting at the trees across the street, causing quite a disturbance in the leaves. That was about 80' or so. It was loud, too. Fun!
Edit to add this - it looked just like this: https://www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&ccid=JuURPzoi&id=966713E0AB0A927E6E3A6E1A57E8EF42FDBDE784&q=Air+Bazooka+1960s&simid=608048941093225878&selectedindex=19&mode=overlay&first=1&thid=OIP.JuURPzoi7Gm0UerH...
Fun fact: Russia actually has more land surface area than Pluto does
EDIT: Some actual data (Yes, it's Bing)
That's Plaza Cleaners in Portland, OR. It says Plaza Cleaners on the sign inside the door. It's located at 909 NW Everett St. You can even see the sign in the window HERE.
Not Elite Cleaners, not Minneapolis. Sorry. I know this came from that buzzfeed post going around, seems like they made shit up.
>You see, severing one of the Bloodwood tree's branches results in the same kind of effect you might find if you chopped off a person's limb. Upon receiving damage, the tree releases a deep crimson sap that looks alarmingly like human blood. In fact, its sole purpose is to coagulate and seal wounds, much like our own blood does.
I contribute to OpenStreetMap, which is the Wikipedia of maps. The reward is a free map that anyone including Apple can use. In my area, it is the most accurate and up to date map that exists, thanks to millions of tiny improvements by thousands of volunteers.
And here is the picture of the Google car taken from the Bing one.
Also if you can't do much, switch your defauly seatch engine (Google I presume) for Ecosia .
For each search you do, Ecosia plants a tree in an African country to halt desertification and thwart deforestation.
i'm a bit conflicted because i do like the photos and the idea surrounding them, but alot of people are claiming some of the hair is fake and he's selling a scam product?
I don't think i care about the fake hair, but the products seem iffy.
Devil's Kettle.
It's a waterfall in northern Minnesota where one half of the waterfall falls into a hole in the rocks and is never seen again. Local geologists have thrown stuff down there and nothing is ever seen again. When you consider to types of rocks in the area it's even more confusing.
https://roadtrippers.com/stories/mystery-behind-minnesotas-devils-kettle-falls
imagine being the google maps driver for this area, i can't believe how bad this place is
i had no idea ~~parts of philly~~ camden was this bad.
I don't know if It was debunked as a hoax, but years ago a man apparently went missing in the Parisian catacombs, and this team found camera footage which is linked on YouTube.
Then they made a short documentary of them going into the catacombs to try and find this guy.. but yeah.. I'm not sure about it.. Link
Bing Rewards. Bing/Microsoft literally pays you money for searching. Ever 2 searches, you get 1 credit. It may not seem like a lot but it adds up quickly.
Once you have enough, like 300 or so, you can redeem points for online gift cards for Amazon, or GameStop, and much more!
All you need is a Microsoft account and to use Bing as your search engine. I love Bing so it works well for me. Oh, and it's completely free to join.
Go here to sign up for Bing rewards!
I didn't actually know. I just checked Google Maps for crossroads in approximate distances from the places shown in the picture. The first guess was 10 kilometers off, the second crossroads was a direct hit. (There isn't many big roads / crossroads in Lapland.)
Helped being a Finn, though, since knew where to look at.
FAKE!
Just kidding, it's real. Still not sure what he is, but - in another shot, you can see a "CWF" on the back of his getup. South Africa seems nice.
This is in Norway. Reine in Lofoten.
Although this image has most definitely been altered either on camera or afterwards, I was there in February 2011 during the solar storm, seeing some of the most amazing northern lights I've ever seen and this place is absolutely breathtaking.
DDG results stink for me. Google has the best but only because they know and track everything about me. Second best IMO is Ecosia (https://www.ecosia.org).
It uses Bing but outside of MS and without the need for an account. They also plant trees from searches.

The Vatican is not only the biggest international arms dealer, they're also the largest child sex slave dealer and always have been. For some reason no one ever finds it weird that the Vatican allows their pedophile priests to keep on priesting long after they've been outed as pedophiles. The Vatican actively does everything it can to silence accusers by killing them, paying them, making them disappear, you name it.
James Achilles (Rome) Alefantis. The Jesuit Podesta brothers (search Podesta WikiLeaks for "Malta" and "Jesuit"). The hundreds of child trafficking "preventative" organizations run by the jesuits/knights of Malta/hospitallers giving them extremely easy access to victims and infinite cover up potential.
Yeah, the shit is fucked and the list goes on and on but I firmly believe the Clinton Foundation is a front company for the Vatican's children/arms dealing and The Black Pope + Francis are directly in the center of it.
To add more to this: the jesuits/knights of Malta/hospitallers have some "anti-child trafficking" operations in Haiti and they were in Haiti at the same time the Clinton Foundation was there. Willing to bet all my vital organs the kids were abducted and sold through the CF and the laundered money was split through the Jesuit/catholic charities in Haiti with all proceeds going to The World Bank, AKA the Vatican.
Actually, I know exactly where this is, and sorry to say, but this is most likely private property. Note that the red building in the background is Kildare's, though it used to be McFadden's, which can be seen in the google maps link that I provided.
It's a business area with a lot of bars at the south end of Ohio State University that is often patrolled with many police officers and it's not uncommon to see people being kicked out or even banned from this area. My friend was banned for mindlessly pulling some leaves off of one of the trees (the same trees you see the guy leaning against in the video).
It's called taxes. Not humanity.
She's not being philanthropic, she's being smart with her money and career.
Edit: Goodlord I kicked the Hornets nest
I'm pretty sure what you linked to is a run of the river hydroelectric generating station, not any sort of mining operation. Your screenshot was taken here at what seems to be the outlet of the hydroelectric plant. If you move the map a bit farther upstream, you see the inlet to the hydroelectric plant here
Notice how the water going into the dam in the second location is the same colour as the water going out of the plant in the first location (your picture). Also, if you go to street view, you can see loads of power lines going away from the generating station and an old pelton wheel on display at the entrance.
What you have right there was originally called a "Mansfield Gate". Named so because it was added to trailer designs after Jane Mansfield lost her life in a car accident when the car she was driving collided with the rear end of just such a trailer. IIRC, she was decapitated, and her four kids were with her in the car.
EDIT: Got some details wrong, but here's an account: LINK and also more about the bar itself: LINK
That actually looks more like the White Castle in Brooklyn on Myrtle Ave, Near Washington https://maps.google.com/maps?q=white+castle+near+Myrtle+Avenue,+New+York,+NY&hl=en&ll=40.693736,-73.963534&spn=0.007012,0.016512&sll=40.702217,-73.921288&sspn=0.007044,0.016512&oq=white+castle+myrtle+av&hq=white+castle&...
SO! After some research I have concluded this is in fact not in Detroit. Notice the similarities between the sidewalks, The front of the white castle, and the building in the background, as well as the location of the Dumpster in the mid right third. I live near this white castle, IT IS MOST CERTAINLY NOT DETROIT.
Also chances are this wedding party actually took place at the bar next door, which is predominantly populated by the ethnic group you guys are referring to, in a grotesque and disgusting way IMO. It's called Bamboo Lounge.
OP. YOU FUCKED UP. How did no one notice this until now?
Everyone here, every single one of us, knew he was giving a Master Trolling Class, whilst Romney cucked himself in front of the cameras. Media forced to run around following him every which way.
Who could forget this look on Trump's face at that dinner?
I think this is it: http://i.imgur.com/UsJQ8.png. Here's the Google maps link.
Here is the Google

That is why I have ceased using Google Maps. For navigation now I use OSMAnd. I especially like the fact the maps can be offline as it means I never miss a bit when driving through poor service areas.
Nobody has mentioned the WTF is this guy doing?
I'll raise you one better: Google Maps has a 360 degree panorama of the hut!
Friendly google maps link! of a guy buying drugs in Flint. poor google street view team. they were so young too.
I think they were done with the scene. Go up the street a bit. Figured this out because I noticed the car going from left to right so it would have been recording them before the point in the original post.
I love the fat guy in the tank top and his reaction in the drive by. "Hey, is that th... HEY GOOGLE!"
Then the one guy giving the google car the death stare.
edit I HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED THAT HE IS WEARING WHAT WE CALL A TSHIRT. THANK YOU
Actually, Greenland isn't that big. The more north or south a country is, the bigger it looks on a map. Because the Earth is round and maps are flat.
Greenland is roughly the size of Saudi Arabia.
If we check here in a few months, we'll get to see the OP!
the russians acknowledge the importance of laika several times over including a statue that's actually quite beautiful.
http://www.universetoday.com/13606/russian-memorial-for-space-dog-laika/
Thank the media. It wasn't just FOX mocking people and saying they aren't allowed to protest if they have a nike swoosh anywhere on their clothes or a cell phone in their pocket.
It was all of them labeling all protesters as moochers who want hand outs and deserving of the beatings they got.
People still to this day will defend the cop who pepper sprayed the students sitting on the ground.
They still say kids deserved to be beaten for standing on a campus lawn. (and they'll lie and claim that the cops here were surrounded, they weren't as this alternate angle clearly shows)
People ignore that the DHS NSA and local police all organized together to crush the protests around the country
Took this picture in downtown Atlanta a while back, it's an apartment building next to the library.
Found it!

Bing rewards lets you earn points for searches then cash them in for stuff. One option is a month of Hulu Plus. I set my default search on my work computer, its not hard to hit the goal.
As others have said, this is the Firey Gizzard Trail
According to wikipedia, the trail crosses private property and the property owner is no longer allowing access as of 12/1/2015. It says that the owner has offered to sell his property to the state, so this information may be outdated.
But IRL you should have carpet dividers under where the door would be, so it wouldn't look as bad.
It would also stop the door from catching on loose carpet and pulling it up.
it's not bad, and I love the birds eye view on the maps. Also, if you do bing rewards you get paid $5/mo (amazon gc) for using it
you can just run this bot to search for you if you don't actually want to use bing
Already been done (kinda).
With added scuba gear!
This map is wrong. The countries fit into africa are actually distorted by the mercator projection, making them look bigger than they actually are. Look at Madagascar and the United Kingdom. They look roughly the same size on this map, but it even lists the UK as 242 thousand square km in area and Madagascar as 587 thousand. They also included Ireland as part of the UK, but even the actual UK alone is around the size of Madagascar in this picture. [Here's a more accurate comparision between these two countries](http://thetruesize.com/#?borders=1~!Nzc3MTg1MA.NjM5MTgwNQ*MjQxMDM3OTQ(MjExMzk2ODM~!GB*OTUyNTg4Ng.MzE0NjMzNjQ), showing that the UK is less than half the size of Madagascar.
Using countries distorted by the Mercator projection is exactly what this map is complaining about. The US is also missing Alaska (and Hawaii) and Europe is missing 60% of its area (Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Sweden, Norway and Finland), even though it shows their full areas on the list. As I already mentioned, it also includes Ireland as part of the United Kingdom.
This map's goal is to fight "immappancy" but it's actually spreading it.
I had to look it up, too.
His sons are avid big game hunters and travel to africa to hunt on management preserves, apparently.

while I agree that they do look stunning and ageless, I would love to see "aged" not as the opposite to beautiful, but just another expression of beauty. E.g. the character Jean Milburn, played by Gillian Anderson, is a great example of "aged" beauty
go to openmaps you can hit the 'share' button on the right and download a vector PDF. Open it in illustrator and use the 'select same' tool to remove everything you don't want. Hey presto! you have a scale-able styled map.
And there are so many other amazing sculptures with that level of detail. Corradini's Modesty, Strazza's Veiled Virgin, similar 'veiled ladies' by Monti and a number of others.
> Have you not read the article? They cannot do that, since authorities closed down their local mosque and turned it into a library.
French man living in that suburb. I've followed the story relatively closely, so let me elaborate on information you may not have:
Anyway, it's kind of annoying for the locals sometimes, but it's pretty much a non-story in my opinion. Not saying I'm surprised to see this stuff on the international news though given the current global context around Islam...
I had to Microsoft's Bing that to figure out what everyone's talking about.
Once found a mature one way back on a powerline in NW GA. I let the American Chestnut Foundation know. They drove a damn bucket truck back there (made a road through the woods) twice a year. They individually pollinated the hundreds of blossoms with different hybridized pollens then came back to collect the nuts. It was a hell of a job. If you ever think that nobody cares about anything, go find your nearest branch of the ACF. You will meet some fantastic people who care. The latest advances in this whole gene editing thing has brought a real light at the end of the tunnel. I have no doubt they will have a blight resistant strain in a few years. But to replace 4 billion trees ,as I understand it, will take everyone in the Southeast who is physically able to work every weekend in the planting season to plant all the viable saplings, 100 years to replace all these trees. What a job. But these trees are Huge, beautiful and make tons of edible nuts.
You aren't kidding- you see it when he shows the award he got for something about law enforcement
There is actually a whole Saudi palace/huge villa there, it was there since forever and it didn't look like it was used much by actual royals at all during King Abdullah, but during this month there are hastily day and night ongoing renovations. I heard that 2 days ago there was a small scuffle with Saudi security there, and the actual closing off of the beach was initiated after an all-night party at that beach(14th July is huge in France), and that beach is less than a few hundred meters of Saudi living quarters. http://wikimapia.org/10600755/Residence-of-the-Royal-Family-of-Saudi-Arabia
Source: swam on that beach yesterday morning and conversed with a local, like to spend my vacations in the vicinity.
Serious response? These little suckers are pretty iconic. So a black guy playing those cymbals feels kind of like comparing him to a monkey, a common racial slur.
Nobody in the gif indended that, of course, but that's what immediately springs to mind.
please, for your safety and the safety of others, please acquaint yourself with the use of bing with the safe search turned off, even though this particular search did not yield the exposure of the subject's nippular area that does not mean it's not a good search engine for such endeavors.
This has been a public service announcement.
iirc the shorthand for ISK in Iceland is kr, and 5000isk is, in fact, 43.45 USD. Evidence: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Icelandic_kr%C3%B3na
edit: missed a USD
The cross is Knights of Malta, a Jesuit order. They rule us, and the rest of the world along with them.
Podesta is a Jesuit. Search "Jesuit" in WikiLeaks for funsies. Turns up a lot of results.
The owl is also a Roman Catholic/Jesuit thing.
Welcome to the real world folks. Also this is a good time for a r/RomeRules plug. Enjoy.
This thread is gonna get nuked soon so remember what you've seen.
Seriously, smoking hot.
Bing points mother fucker.
Edit: If anyone whats to be a bro, here is my referral code.
Looks like Jiraiya went full Sage Mode.
Edit: Since this comment is getting a bit of votes, here is some context for those that need it.
Master Jiraiya or "Pervy Sage" as Naruto likes to call him.
Something else mildly interesting. Teds Luncheonette in Largo Florida is where parts of this scene were filmed.
I like to go there for my birthdays to have breakfast, the inside is pretty different, but there are still pictures of Samuel L. Jackson, Tim Roth, Quentin Tarantino, etc on the walls. Plus they make some awesome food too.
Women are especially prone to Narcissism, but the word has taken on a new meaning and it's worthy of clinical study.
More specifically, you're referring to internalization. Which is a significant symptom of a number of issues including depression and borderline personality disorder.
Basically, once food and shelter become commonplace our internal shit gets all scrambled.

Edit2: Thanks for the gold, karma, and the fun. I tip my fedora to all!
Ok, some facts:
1 - This is the Insano water slide at Beach Park Fortaleza.
2 - It's not really new, I think it was built around 1995-6.
3 - I don't think there's ever been any serious accidents there. Aside from getting the wedgie of the ages you're pretty much safe.
4 - I've been there in 1998 and holy shit it's a great feeling.
This seems a convenient place to recommend that everyone use Ecosia as their search engine. It’s basically google, but they use the ad revenue to fund tree planting. Absolute no brainer.
it is actually noones job to check that stuff, it is users who provide Google with data for free, helping the company to manifest its market leading position they can then abuse.
You can by the way instead help fill Open Street Maps with data. I just recently added a website to some restaurant. Some dude verified it within a day or so and then it was public.
It's not like there is no perfect alternative.
For simplicity's sake, I'm going to assume he doesn't have any of his connections, backup plans, or gadgets whatsoever - without these rules, he would probably just use a pre-existing backup plan, but that's no fun at all.
(1) Batman steals a computer.
(2) Batman uses said computer to Google "New York Nuclear Bunker."
(3) Batman finds a nuclear bunker inside the Brooklyn Bridge, and although others might be more practical, he chooses this one because he's Batman and he takes advice about theatrics literally.
(4) Because he still has 23 and a half hours to kill, Batman hacks into a construction company database and forges an order for a buttload of lead sheets to be delivered to his new Brooklyn Bridge Batcave. At the same time, he orders some building and welding supplies.
(5) Once everything is in place inside his BBB (which would probably take 12 hours or so), he sets to work on building a nuclear fallout shelter inside his nuclear fallout shelter. Nothing too fancy, just a huge lead box which he chills out inside of.
(6) There are probably some other bits of a nuclear fallout shelter which I don't know and Batman would, being one of the smartest men in DC. He acquires the necessary materials for these the same way he got the lead, and builds as much as he can before the bomb goes off.
This neighborhood looks like a charming place to live...
Might be a seaweed farm, according to Wikimapia
The creepyass thing on the right, you mean? It says ningyo no miira, which is some kinda Japanese Fiji Mermaid hoax.
You should go see it, OP. It's apparently at this temple.
Someone in the last thread suggested calling these Pubstomps and I think that's fucking brilliant. =)
Either way, now's the right time to get in touch with your local Barcraft and see if there's any interest among your community. Even if it ends up just being a poll with an overwhelming "not interested", do your part and give it a shot!
EDIT: Here's a map that has links to all of the BarCraft communities: BarCrafts around the world!
It's a bloodwood tree. There's a ton of images of them about. They have a vivid red sap and they look like they're bleeding when you cut into them.
Very interesting. Here is the island on google maps, for those wondering... https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Tromelin&hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=-15.891705,54.528397&spn=0.022412,0.042272&sll=44.145447,-120.583402&sspn=4.280591,10.821533&t=w&hnear=%C3%8Ele+Tromelin&z=15

If it doesn't load or takes too long, just get directions from Singapore to Beijing, China using Google Maps - it's pretty funny.
I'm sorry OP but posts like this one here are really affecting he quality on this sub negatively. This is not limited to your post, but any screenshot comparing the size of countries does little more than illicit two dimensional discussion.
If anyone is interested, The True Size Of is an online site that let's you compare relative sizes of countries.
In case you do not know, Landsat 8 captures satellite imagery which can be easily visualized in this tool by Mapbox:

It looks like Long Island was tagged with natural=scrub
on the 9th of April. It was only tagged for a few hours, but I believe the 9th falls in the proposed update window.
If you can set up an account on mydisneyexperience.com and link your tickets/passes, then you'll be able to set up Fast Passes and get through the lines on 3 rides in just minutes. You have to be frugal with your time, right?
Also, if you're going to the Magic Kingdom, Pinocchio's has pretty good kids menu items. Maybe $6.50 for a pizza, fries, yogurt, and a drink. Just order that for the whole family. It's pretty good and filling.
Or be super frugal and take your own food and drinks into the park. As long as you don't have glass bottles, you can take any food items in. There is a McDonalds close to Animal Kingdom on property. The prices aren't much worse than any other McD but the selection isn't as good (usually no promotional sandwiches). Here is the location.
