This is why I read FT and WSJ. They say the quiet part out loud cause they're for rich people who need a different kind of manufactured consent.
There was a tumblr meme recently about putting a finance person in charge of a journal like NYT, someone who wouldn't lie or act ignorant whenever some problem is caused by financial interests. That's often just what FT is.
Use the extension "paywall bypass" on github. https://github.com/iamadamdev/bypass-paywalls-chrome
It's all the classic stuff really but here's one Stepney "The Bluebell Engine"
And here is an image from that book it's terrifying
while I know GIMP's been mentioned already, if you're looking for other alternatives for whatever reason, apply whichever filters you need here:
https://alternativeto.net/software/adobe-photoshop/
I personally use Krita for drawing and GIMP for editing/spritework, so I can recommend both of those, but find what you like
It's on scihub :)

I'm still confused who the woman who shocked herself nine times was on but I feel bad for the researchers who had to watch her shock herself over and over lmao
You spend check out Flashpoint: https://bluemaxima.org/flashpoint/downloads/
It lets you play thousands of flash games, and there's a full list of all the supported games on the website. I just checked and all the games you and OP mentioned are there
Hope you enjoy :)
Looks like the chart is based off early 2018 numbers, although it doesn't look like things have changed all that much if this info is correct:

Good point, though that's a pretty small scene from what I know. Also, it looks like Android for iPhones only works if you have something with 7 in the name (at least with Project Sandcastle). I did forget about pi-hole, though.
Building your own computer is an option, but I think it's best if people can make the most of what they already own (eg. installing good software and uninstalling bad software). Also, by "the rest of the problems" I meant brands pretending to be friendly, urban spaces used only to sell products, and the rest.
For anyone interested it looks like they took some of these $20 changing pods, cut a hole in the back, and taped some clear plastic sheet to it. Honestly a pretty solid solution on a school budget. Maybe even under 20 if bought in bulk?
Someone else here commented this, so here is the rest of it! >Things hidden by the giant red box:

>What is the new method?
So, before I took multiple screenshots and like, stitched em together - now I'm taking one loooong picture (using the web capture feature on this Android app)
>this just looks like any other tumblr compilation of vertically compiled screenshots
That's why I called it a method!
There's a million ways to start a fire, but at the end of the day - it's still a workplace hazard, yk?
You can get them at bed bath and beyond, walmart, target, and a bunch of other places. Here's a cheap one on amazon, but I'd recommend dropping at least $60 if you want something quality. I had one to put over my shitty dorm bed in college, very nice in winter. Then gave it to then girlfriend (now wife) to ease cramps, cause with a comforter on top it turns the bed into one big heat pad.
Adobe Zii is a totally legal software for paying Mac users to check their definitely paid for Adobe products! it can be gotten through legal websites like cmacked dot com, but make sure to use a VPN like ProtonVPN (that you can get for free) to access this legal software. It helps users sort out Adobe licenses!
i posted this on an alt for no reason
there’s a graphic novel called adventures in oz that explores the world and lore. trans god is in there, as well as some other really interesting characters like a candle man who’s always dying because he’s melting away. worth a read if you can get your hands on it
Vog Mask was actually created to help with allergies! It's a cloth mask with multiple filter layers. They're fairly common now, due to Covid-19.
Ok yeah! But you don't have to do it if you don't want to!
For now you can just download the firefox app on your phone.

Well, welcome to The Hobbit. Tolkien made up the story as he was telling it to his children before bed. Then Tolkien edited it before publication to make everything fit right.
I've done some more reading, and Tolkien wrote that he had originally intended for the Arkenstone to be a silmaril but changed his mind. This is probably why some passages suggest the Arkenstone emits light on its own and other seem to say it only reflects and refracts light in a fancy way.
Incidentally, while the Arkenstone lost importance to the story, the ring of invisibility was originally just supposed to be magical trinket. It being the One Ring and Gollum being a hobbit was a retcon that happened after the publication of The Hobbit.
If you're looking for better tie-ins, you'll have a much better time reading The Lord of the Rings illustrated edition. The footnotes are great. Note that if you click paperback you won't get the footnotes or Tolkien's illustrations, but the kindle version does have them.
You know you can get a cassette to aux bluetooth device right?
Sure, I bought these, but you might be better off shopping around. The adhesive on these is strong enough to keep them on, but not to keep them in place, so I have to shove them back into the right spot over the camera every once in a while.
It's almost like every single mass advertising campaign done through dumbass YouTubers has been a massive scam. BetterHelp. Established Titles. NordVPN. Every other VPN ever advertised on youtube in the history of youtube. Any crypto and creator mentions. The dreaded mobile games.
The worst part of shit like RAID Shadow Legends is that the only real scam is the time it steals from you. The scam is the fun. Because there isn't any.
This is the premium all-in-one version that I use. They also offer free versions of the individual skies. I used aurora night until I discovered the all in one version
Ad blocking on Android:
Some friends and I get together about twice a year and make amateur movies. “Bad Girls” is one of our latest, a crime-spree featuring three escaped convicts, the rockstars they kidnap, and the two detectives who hound them. There’s frenetic energy in the first third, then it comes more story-driven. It’s obviously cheap, pretty dumb, and a lot of fun.
If you want some good budget wired headphones the the MoonDrop Chus are pretty good for ~$20 USD
To quote the Wikipedia article: "NordVPN operates under the jurisdiction of Panama, as the country has no mandatory data retention laws and does not participate in the Five Eyes or Fourteen Eyes intelligence sharing alliances. Its offices are located in Lithuania, the United Kingdom, Panama and the Netherlands."
Yeah, my grandpa nearly had a heart attack when I added this to my own personal bowl of grandma's bean soup. "BE CAREFUL! THAT'S SPICY!"
I grew up with my dad, their son, and I challenging each other over who could eat the spiciest things. My other grandad didn't like food unless it made him sweat. I don't have a sweet tooth, I have a spicy tooth. Go back to your single drip of Tabasco, grandpa.
I got most of them off Amazon or from Ikea.
Ikea isn't offering plant wand tattoos this year as far as I can see where I am, but their whole line is kinda mediocre right now. On Amazon, I can rec decalmile - this is the ivy one I have, e.g.: https://www.amazon.com/decalmile-Hanging-Evergreen-Stickers-Background/dp/B08PBKX5W4 They're fairly easy to hang, and so far I have no complaints regarding their ability to stay stuck.
I didn't buy off the US site, and this one remains available to buy for me... if you're not in the US, you may have luck on your local version.
Yes! So far I’ve tried potatoes, cucumbers, mushrooms, carrots and apples, no issues. It’s relatively safe, because your hands are well out of the way - just carefully put the veg onto the blades, and then SMASH! the lid down. And it all gets caught into a big container I can empty out directly into the wok.
Clean up still has to be done, but I immediately rinse it and put it to dry. It’s clean veggies, so I can get away with not using dish soap on it every time.
It’s this one: Veg cutter AKA SMASHER 3000 If you can’t get this particular one, I would suggest checking the reviews for how sturdy/sharp it is and not falling for the ooh-it-has-5-more-pieces-and-it’s-$3-cheaper scheme - get the one that only has parts you’re actually likely to use.
Shoutout to this absolutely bare-bones classic solitare game: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.potatojam.classic.solitaire.klondike
No ads. No prizes. No gimmicks. Nothing to earn. No in-app anything. Just solitaire. I play it allllll the time.
It looks good!
I use Screenmaster on my android phone and it works like a charm
stitching, especially manually, can be a pain
I post on this sub every now and again - and I'd recommend looking for apps/websites with the "web capture" feature
Free antivrius: uBlock Origin or AdGuard
Free VPN: ProtonVPN
And piracy is easy. Get a torrent client (I use deluge, but any will work really, just do a google before downloading to check if they are trustworthy), then turn on your vpn and go to . Search whatever show/film/software you want, click the thing you are looking for and click "magnet download". It should automatically open in your torrent client. Then just wait for it to download and youre all set!
Perhaps you'd be interested in a keyboard with capacitive key switches. Expensive, but perfectly linear, customizable trigger points, durable, silent and sublime.
Those are way too damn expensive, and I already got something in mind
Writer Christopher Sebela lived in the clown motel for a month and wrote a book about it.
I was running out of time at the moment. Are these dies acceptable?
OP has a book out, a collection of "sapphic fantasy and science fiction stories": https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08QMYYXDB

I'm pretty sure the ebook version used to be free too but now it's one dollar
The trick with suspension of disbelief is I have to like what you're going for more than I'm hung up on your shit not making sense. Also helpfully the bullshit people need to suspend their disbelief about shouldn't directly nullify the actual premise.
Like in Tin Men, where the central premise is soldiers remote piloting terminators in modern war zones, where the central problem is the Magical Hyper Gigantic Satellite EMP bombs (seriously they would have to be the most powerful bombs ever built given the immense distance the EMP travels) knocks out their connections to the drones.
At which point they find out there's artificial brains in the robots they're copied into and now they're stuck as robots meaning they can die. So the premise is literally pointless, they might as well be regular soldiers given that even though they're immune to bullets everyone has rocket launchers and they're crack shots with them.
Also somehow their real bodies don't wake up, meaning their souls have apparently transferred to the robots.
Though my favorite dumb thing was this one book about werewolf racism that had a guy kamikaze a Cessna full of C4 into the cooling tower of a nuclear plant, which somehow caused a gargantuan nuclear explosion that contaminated the entire west coast!
Like holy shit that's so many layers of totally impossible when the story is trying to realistically justify the werewolves as having a lame medical condition and no supernatural powers.
go read the Amazon prime description it’s absolutely wild
When my older sister was teenager friend got her a Violet doll and changed the word months to years so it was 18+. It was a family member up until her new dog tore it apart :(

If you're up for smallish plushies, there's a really nice store on Amazon selling velveteen animals (I have an octopus) that are super squishy - I can't explain the texture but my one is lovely, I've been meaning to find out what kind of stuffing it uses lol.
Manhattan Toy Sourpuss Octopus Velveteen Sea Life Toy Stuffed Animal, 33.02cm https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08QKMZV31/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_FNNNEVYYHNF2Z4BZ7Z0V?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
(It does look like they've gone up in price slightly though, sorry about that)
I'd recommend The Dawn of Everything to anyone interested in the variety of human social arrangements, because they take these myths head-on using the latest scientific evidence. Who We Are and How We Got Here is also good for taking on the "patriarchal warrior society taking over Europe" angle. It turns out there is a lot of evidence in favor of this theory, but academics are very skeptical to explore it, because it basically supports the Nazi myth of the Aryans (at least that those people existed and conquered a whole lot of territory).
Oof, that sucks! Even military history is not supposed to be taught like this. If you ever want to get back to learning some History, try going for books on Cultural History. There's a lot of topics that get explored by historians - for example, there's even a book on the (history of tears)[https://www.amazon.com/History-Tears-Sensibility-Sentimentality-France/dp/0312053762].
There's a difference in power here tho. We're up against dozens of massive international news organisations with a monopoly on the media consumed by most voters.
Having an incredibly biased media is systemic;

If you want to have a sane take on media bias, read this. You can probably pirate it on zlib of libgen.

It's for android
This one i stitched together with just my phone's built-in system, android 12.0 (i think?) allows for stitching to an extent
kindred falls more on the furry side of the design spectrum but they are monsters in theory (and my favorite LoL character[s]). Just putting them here because they are pretty and their lore is really neat, too. Their stories really bring the LoL world to life and make it feel like a living place imo, but I’m biased. Kin was the only part of League that was actually fun for me and the only part I miss, lmao.
Don't worry, Riot has noticed that you like some of their monster designs from years ago when they actually made good characters, and has gone out of their way to say they're going to avoid making monster champions because people don't like their designs as much (they've assumed this based on playrate data and completely ignore that they give them complex kits and shit balance.)

Two more skins for Ahri and Lux coming right up, with a side of nerfs for Aurelion Sol!
Normally sites require you to make an account even if they offer images for free, because they have specific license agreements that you accept by singing-up.
Pexels also does that, and presents restrictions on use (https://www.pexels.com/license/). More specifically:
> ✕ Identifiable people may not appear in a bad light or in a way that is offensive.
> ✕ Don't sell unaltered copies of a photo or video, e.g. as a poster, print or on a physical product without modifying it first
> ✕ Don't imply endorsement of your product by people or brands on the imagery.
> ✕ Don't redistribute or sell the photos and videos on other stock photo or wallpaper platforms
Just a heads up to anyone who would want to use this site, since I have to deal with this sort of things much more that people on average.
Yeah not having basic editing features is the main problem. I can handle anything more advanced in Affinity Publisher (which is an InDesign alternative, not free but is a one-time purchase), but that requires importing and exporting and is just overkill for the basic stuff.
Unfortunatly though I only use Windows and Linux.

Apparently it's in beta and there's a $5 fee to join. I think it was created after the NSFW ban and I thought a bunch of people fled there, but I haven't really heard much about it since.
My dad liked to bemoan the fact that modern cars had flat, plastic buttons on the dashboard, which weren’t nearly as satisfying as the metal toggle switches cars in the 1960s had.
And then he would explain that this was because some bastard named Ralph Nader had ruined everything by pointing out that, in the event of a crash, those pointy metal switches would impale you and cause injury.
Even as a kid, I remember feeling that this Ralph guy was on the right side of that argument.
My dad’s arguments were often mystifying.
(I have never read Unsafe At Any Speed, so I don’t even know if Ralph Nader actually ever discusses on dashboard switches; I mention this, because my dad’s book summaries were not always accurate.)
consider: using better reddit apps, like this one, or this one
(Spoiler) I think I'd go for a more "End of Evangelion"-esque choice
You can play all three (along with loads of other flash games) using Flashpoint. I've been using it to play a lot of games, like the Sushi Cat games, Upgrade Complete, Uphill Rush, Kawairun, The Torture Game 2, Super Mario 63, etc. Very fun.

This is my first time watching it cause I ain't pay 4 bucks for a movie from the early 2010s.
There's actually a product that helps lift the weight of heavy earrings! It's a small adhesive patch that goes on the back of your earlobe and takes the pressure off of the piercing hole. Makes things much more comfortable.
I looked it up because I didn't remember how I first set it up. Here's the website
Funny though it says you can't use a dns with a mobile connection but it works on my phone. I don't get ads unless I turn the dns off of private
what kinda coffee maker you looking at? these are the ones that americans typically use
They might also have mobile apps! They have system maps and sometimes even a bus/train tracker. If in a big US city, you can even use a private app called CityMapper. That one tells you when to get off if you're not in a tunnel/subway (i.e. have no GPS signal). Even when you have no signal, you know how many stops to count. It's also not super updated about what's out of service. (It can be days behind.) But it helped me a lot when figuring out my city's transit.

It's $15 without the refills, $19 to get 2 refills with it. Not a bad deal for something that's entirely stopped my hand cramps from a lot of writing.

Seriously Orlando Furioso is full of badass women, surprising for the 20th century let alone the 16th.
I saw a kid in elementary school that ran and jumped on one of those scooter boards belly first and licked a streak across the gym. I feel bad for the teachers
